Nawa.
on the highlighted part, the agent just informed me this afternoon that it has 1 month entry validity.

If you have seen Sharjah tourist visa, most of them are like that. I only wish to know more about this visa category. The first time I saw it, I was passive because I was not involved in anyway but now I seek to know more about it which is why I asked the whole house.

Kindly go to emirates, ethihad, airlines tell them that you want check your visa authenticity before buying tickets from them,it would take the two minutes to confirm whatever you want
I am not in Nigeria, I live here in the UAE but I can't go out from my location(desert) until about 4 weeks. I know the visa is very genuine but I only want to know more about this visa category, if this one is 3 months direct or if it comes with extension and to know if it allows for a total stay of up to 3 months?

Good morning guys, i need some information regarding a visa category.

I applied for a 3 months tourist visa for my cousin through an agent in Dubai, the visa came out this week and was issued by the Emirates of Sharjah . The visa doesnt have an entry validity and duration of visa.

This is the visa category "Entry Permit- New- Long Term Visit Single Entry- Tourism"

Please can this type of visa be verified online or is there anyway to verify this visa category?

You might be suprised that most banks in UAE won't open for you, cos your a Nigerian. That's their new banking policy, only a few will accept you, like Emirates nbd ( you need a salary of 5,000dirhams to open a savings account) , for Dubai islamic bank( i think you need a minimum of 3000dirhams for savings account, for doha bank u 2000dirhams....
ARE YOU A RESIDENT? COS IF NOT YOU WON'T BE ALLOWED TO OPEN...
YOU NEED ONLY 3 DOCUMENTS TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT ; 1.) your original passport , 2.) your emirate ID, 3.) your salary certificate.....
Are you an employee? if yes, i think your company should open a salary account for you. Its there obligation to do so.
Thanks for the information I really appreciate, I am an employee and I have a salary account with NBAD. I am only seeking to open a standard savings account that will be independent of my company which I will also know the full benefits as my company didn't carry me along on the salary account, it's functions and benefits.

Okay if your monthly salary is less than 5,000 Dirhams almost all the banks won't open account for you in dubai. Example Emirates NBD, ADCB, Commercial bank of Dubai,Emirates Islamic Bank and lots more.

You can try Ajman bank or Rak Bank(i.e Ras Al khaimah bank) both have branches in Dubai, they can be flexible sometimes atleast from a monthly salary of 3,000 Dirhams upwards. Anything below 3,000 Dirhams monthly salary i doubt you will find a bank to open an account with.

Openo

And also a minimum balance of 3,000 or 5,000 Dirhams should always be maintained in your account else you will be charged 25 dirhams per month.
To open or maintain an account with 5,000 wont be a problem but unfortunately my salary is not up to the required minimum. Thanks for your contribution. I also appreciate tbe other contributors.

Please i will like to know the powers of my salary card and what i can do with it? (I have a salary card with NBAD)

You came all the way from anambra to Lagos and then spend N5,000 and did you get it on sameday??

You did 24hours Travel and probably Lodge in an hotel to save 20k, when you have spent more. When it expires in 3months, will you come all the way to Lagos againhuh

Nice move though, weldone
Some people can ask irrelevant questions, anyway I'm idle tonight so I will answer you.

I came from Anambra for about 9 hours because I needed it very urgent and I got it the same day I went to the FCID at the cost of #3,500. Transport to Lagos from Anambra was #2,500, I studied and worked in Lagos so I have family and friends and some personal belongings in Lagos therefore no need for a hotel. I also had other things I needed to do in Lagos. Matter of fact I anticipated traveling out from Lagos without going back to Anambra again.

I don't think I will need police report any soon, I am already settled down where I live and if any need arises for me to get police clearance it's likely I'm getting it from here as a legal resident and not Nigeria. If they insist Nigeria, I can use the contact I already established at FCID or use any other means to get it done because I would've been more richer than I was last year.

I hope I have answered all your questions... stay cool.

justwise:
grin grin a Nigerian can be any age depending on the situation.
In this case you can still be your original age just submit your passport page with that of your parents or any family members with the same surname which happens to be above the age... and before you know it you are on your way here.

Some age limit rule has been effective indirectly for some time now but the visa agents usually create mama, papa or husband passport copy without ones knowledge while applying for some visa categories.

But about the visitor's visa I don't have anybody over there, can you help me arrange a place to stay after gotten the visit visa? Please I will hold my cash for that because their hotel will be too expensive.
Just make a hotel reservation that you will use to cross the immigration. When you arrive Dubai airport take a taxi to Deira Park hotel(the hotel is no longer functional but you see many Naija boys hanging around. The place is like the unofficial head quarters of Naija boys mostly Igbos, Yoruba's stay more around back of London hotel at Al Sabkha), No matter the means of transportation, it shouldn't be more than 50 Dirhams to get there. Tell anyone there you are looking for house, and many people will gladly show you available bedspaces... but prepare to live with about 15-21 people in one room. The least i saw in my own time was 6 people in a room. The average fee for bed space is $150 US Dollars during your first rent and then 350 Dirhams in the subsequent months. 1 US Dollar is 3.66 or 3.67 depending on where you are doing the transactions.

NOTE: Make sure you include P.O Box No. not only address else Dubai Customs will send your package back to where it came from even when your mobile number is boldly written on the package, no one will call you.

Get the tracking number and call Emirates Post on 600 599999, after a week call and ask them to track your package if it has arrived Dubai. If they say yes, then forward match with your Emirates ID to Al Karama Post Office, Present your ID you will be charged i think 6 Dirhams or thereabout before your Parcel is scanned and handed over to you.

Please house, can one buy UAE Dihram here in
nigeria? Or should I just buy USD?
Buying USD, means I will start looking for
were to convert as soon as I land UAE.
Please I need answers.
just have about $1,000 at hand and have the rest in your bank account. Go to. your bank and request for PTA. The bank will demand for your visa, ticket and passport. The process might be a bbit stressful but It's worth it.

General advice... before traveling, visit your bank to activate internet banking and token. Also request that your ATM transaction limits be increased. eg I increased my international withdrawal limit to $4,000 and local to #300,000 this will enable you to conduct more transactions over here. I hope this information will help

RomanceRe: Dating Your Cousin: Is It Ethical? by ugsams(m): 1:40pm On Nov 14, 2014
Umennajiego:
The Bible does not forbid marrying your cousin so let's make sure in our zeal to help others that we don't confuse what our culture teaches with what the Bible teaches.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Leviticus 18 lists the forbidden relationships and cousins are not forbidden nor is cousin marriage forbidden anywhere else in the Bible.

God may have chosen your cousin for you and if He chose him it would be a sin to walk away from this. There is no evidence that there is a significant increase in birth defects when cousins marry. The preferred marriage among the Israelites was cousin to cousin marriage and Jews to this day have an average I.Q. of over 120 with the highest population of Geniuses in the world. Ever hear of Einstein?

Both Albert Einstein and Charles Darwin married their first cousins. If such scientists as these had no fear of "defects" in their children then you should not. Their children were all healthy and bright. However, if you're really stupid and your cousin is really stupid then there is a much higher chance that your children will be really stupid. Is there room for a little humor here?

The fact is that cousin marriage was banned by the Roman Catholic church under 'Pope Gregory I' in an attempt to prevent the accumulation of wealth and power within families. The popes saw wealth among the common man as competition for their own power. This power structure exists in the Philippines to this day and is hampering economic development. The ban had nothing to do with our Bibles which we read regularly, don't we?

Civil disobedience has a long history within the Christian community. You've all heard of people power. When the people gathered by the thousands outside of Malacanang to oust Marcos that was against the law. Was it a sin? No. If you must go to another province or state to marry your cousin so that nobody will report you then that is what you must do. Will that be against the law? Maybe. Is it a sin? No. This is not unheard of in the Philippines, The United States, and many other countries where Born Again Christians live in sufficient numbers to make such laws of no effect. I know of such a couple in the Philippines and they live happily to this day. They're now in their 60s with 5 children and many grandchildren. They're born again of course because it is the pope who forbids cousin marriage, not the Bible.

Enjoy for your reading pleasure grin
It seems you have a strong point here but my conscience will not allow me do this.

The most important document is the INVITATION LETTER from a company in Vietnam, the visa is processed in Vietnam and the visa approval copy faxed to Abuja by the Vietnam foreign ministry. All you have to do is take copy of the approval letter to Abuja together with your passport and visa fee. Nothing like bank statements or taxes or any document. VIETNAM VISA IS PROCESSED in Vietnam by the person that is inviting you. you dont have any role to pay, when visa is approved in Vietnam the person in Vioetnam will send you approval copy to take to abuja to collect your visa, no question is asked, no other document is required in Abuja other than the visa approval copy and your passport and visa fee
Thanks for the information. If I need further information about these I hope I'm welcomed to ask

Yeah u can make cheap calls to Nigeria from Ur DU network. There is a code.If u have someone in Dubai already,I'll advice u don't buy lines(sim card) from d airport.Sometimes u pay 3 times d amount. If u already have an arranged accommodation, best option is to load about #2000 credit on Ur Nigerian line so as to enable u receive calls.Ull b charged #33 per min(Etisalat) dunno abt mtn or air tel.Let Ur contact locate u via Ur Nigerian number. When u get to diet a its only 20 Durham's(#900)..For me,I started loading #100,#200 anytime I had loose change in 9ja.Make d money no too much for me on d day of departure...lol..Also try and open a gtb or any bank dat has master card.Cos trust me,ull surely need it..U Neva can tell. Also make sure u activate Ur internet banking cos God fit help u and u get a very good job where ull b required to exit to Kish or Oman. And u fit no get d opportunity to come back to 9ja..How wud u now b transferring money to Ur loved ones?Yes there r mobile money transferred hard but it wud b cheaper to transfer from Ur own acct...#myopinion
Thanks bro

I have activated UBA UDirect, I will get my token today. I will also request for my GTBank token next week.

I don't have a pre-arranged accommodation, so I will be going from from the airport to the hotel and by day two, I will walk to any of the bed space accommodation to pay for a month.

I asked for details on opening account so as to make sure the money I came in with will be safe while I hustle for employment.

For airlines you might want to consider Ethiopia airlines, Rwanda airlines, Emirates and ethihad, Kenyan airlines, Qatar airways. You can check their websites for baggage allowances and price of tickets and then compare.

Opening a bank account might depend on your purpose of travel to the UAE.

As a first timer maybe best you take taxi....taxi meters start from 20 or 25 AED from the airport which is equivalent of 1000 naira plus. There is a metro going from airport terminal 1 and 3 to deira city centre - don't know where you intend going in deira. You will have to buy a nol card if you intend moving around by metro and bus.

There are only two networks in the UAE - du and etisalat. To be honest I am not impressed with either one of them with regard to data but du might be better. They have a stand at the arrivals section in terminal 1. It's hard to miss when going out of the airport from terminal 1.
Thanks for your input. I learnt that I can call Etisalat lines in Nigeria at local rates how true is this?
