Since my last complaint about mazi's 6 days ban has not been given adequate attention, and the mod is yet to give us the name of the person mazi insulted that earned him a 6 month ban, I move that Mazi be unbanned and an apology rendered to him for the unjust way he was treated.

My next complaint is that this board needs a new Mod. A Co-Mod will mean that the present one will remain in office and this will lead to him banning people, unless he will be stripped of his banning priviledges.
He know he needs a new mod, and guess what he has been planning? He wants to strongly recommend Nadia_SA for that position; someone that knows nothing about the people and culture of Literature section. He just wants a bonnie and clyde situation;
Unlike him, I don't make un-proven accusations, so here's it;

Mynd_44:
Not n this lifetime.......or the next.

But mail me, lets wee if we can work something out. I might be needing an assistant soon

nadia_SA:
I sent u pm long ooo

Your mod doesn't think anyone in this section deserves to be his co-mod, he wants someone he could kick around and form sexkillz/ogugua partnership.

I'm an active member of the politics section; despite the strong abuse, hatred, tribal bashing and slurs going on there, you hardly see the mod super-imposing themselves on the users, or banning people recklessly; why are we seeing such in Literature section that I consider a peaceful and loving family?

I'm still waiting for the name of the nairalander that mazi was accused of insulting.

Mynd_44:
I am not the only person who saw his next post, other users saw it and he knows what he wrote.

Would I show it against the rules just to prove some point, I think I am above that.

Mazi is reading this thread right now and is furious that you're telling lies against him to justify the 6 days ban you gave him.
He insists he was referring to you, and he was quite clear when he said that you are acting like a semi-god because seun gave you the powers.

Please, if you can't unhide the post, tell us the nairalander that you claim he was insulting? You guys don't know mazi, have you ever seen him exchange words with anyone on this board? As famous as he was, he still is as humble as it could get. Please, name the nairalander mazi insulted that you banned him for 6 days. Who was the nairalander? was there an exchange of words? Was the other nairalander banned? Are you telling lies to justify the 6 days ban you gave to someone that has contributed so much on this forum? Do you ban people as a warning as you did to mazi on his birthday?

jackbauersballs: I wonder if it would be possible to start a petition to remove Mynd_44 and replace him with HumbleByGrace

We need someone here who understands the culture of this section, not a wannabe dictator seeking to validate himself online.

Supported. I know if mazi and foxy wasn't serving a ban, they would support this too. We should be able to vote out a mod which we consider an anti-climax to this board.

Please copy the link to this page and thread and send a Pm to the super mods (semid4lyfe, mukina2) and seun with this link.

Someone can start a thread here, or better still, at the General section to collect more petitions.

Its obvious either you or mazi is not telling the truth. Why not unhide the comment. I've seen the comments on the thread and he was obviously discoursing with you before the ban, so who else was there to be insulted?

Mazi_Omenuko:

Thanks for your concern. I appealed to higher authorities and after reviewing my case, I was freed. The Mod was hired by someone, so that's exactly where to go and seek a redress if you feel aggrieved. That was exactly what I did and within minutes, I'n back on the streets of Literature section cool

This was his first comment; he wasn't referring to you, but you replied. . .

Mynd_44: I unbanned you cos a friend of yours pleaded on your behalf...

Higher authority ko.

Then his next comment was hidding, and that was what you banned him for. How do you claim he was referring to another person while you both were discussing

According to him, he said he told you that you are acting like a demi-god because seun gave you the powers. Prove to us that he is a liar by unhiding his post.

This is a serious complaint, made at the complaint section.

chistar01: LMAO!! Like seriously? Dont tell me you banned Mazi again?.. Wow, dat would be record breaking if you did. 2bans in 1 day.

Banned him again for 6 days and you guys are just making fun of it. Ishilove is laughing about it and HBG is saying he is used to it. Have any of you seen mazi exchange word with anyone on this forum before? Have you seen him do anything rather than avoid confrontations? You guys don't really know him, and when you encourage a blood-rage mod who issues a double ban within 24 hours, it will all come down to hunt you one day.

His offense was to point out to Mynd that he is wielding power like a demi-god. Let mynd unhide his comment if he so claims he insulted another forumite.
Literature / Re: Literature/Writing Complaints Thread by ujchief(m): 12:00pm On Jul 20, 2013
How can you say the first ban was a warning? Do you warn people by banning them? The last time I checked, a warning means "mazi, you are derailing a thread, I've hidden the comment, don't do that again else you will get a ban". Now that's a warning. But you banned him out rightly for 2 days.
According to him, he sent a Pm to semid4lyfe who happens to be his fan. Then he got freed and went back to the thread to inform Dygeasy that he will still be available to contribute, but you started saying something about you being the one that banned him, and still unbanned him.

So, who was the other user he insulted? You? So funny. Like I said earlier yesterday, mods use their discretion. Sexkillz once made a comment that made me respect him. He said he doesn't ban people who insult him, but bans them when they insult each other. You don't see him banning people calling him 'albino' and insulting him both at the Romance and politics sections.

Unhide mazi's comment and let's see who he was referring to in his comment. You have him 6 days ban!

Once again, this is a complaint, and is made at the complaint section.

HumbledbYGrace: hehehe! What is my complain

My complain is that you dictate us! You run around, hidding posts and banning people for what? Personal favours?

Tell me, Do you love literature?

You hit the nail on the head! This is the bottom line. Dictating to writers, hiding posts and banning people at will. I'd be damned if all the stakeholders of this section keep quite and let a mod run this section down.

Once again, this is a complaint, and is made at the complaint section. No need to hide it so that people won't see it.
Literature / Re: Literature/Writing Complaints Thread by ujchief(m): 11:44am On Jul 20, 2013
This is a complaint;

You banned mazi for 6 days for reasons as frivolous as derailing a thread and not cooperating with a mod! A double ban within 24 hours! Are you on a cleansing mission or just mere witch-hunting? This is cruel, and not good for this forum! You're discouraging the best writers you have here, and its unfortunate, very unfortunate!
Literature / Re: Nairaland - Making A Story Out Of This Forum. by ujchief(m): 10:56am On Jul 19, 2013
Mynd_44: Derail a thread like this and I might even smile about it.

Derail a thread on front page, and you get a time out.

No time to waste time biko

Stop trying to justify this act of banning someone that wants to inform his fans of his birthday thread by pasting the link here. We all know the 21 rules of nairaland, there was no where a frontpage thread was given a special status as regards to derailing. Stop modifying the rules to suit your act. If you were truly angered by the link on the frontpage thread, why did you still hide the link he pasted on this particular thread? Mods are to use their discretion most times; you can choose to warn, hide or ban. But in your case, without warning, you banned him after hiding his posts and all you could say was 'no time abeg'.

I know what your next response will be; 'stop derailing or you will get a ban'. So I'll leave you to your conscience and to your clique of 'untouchables'

Message from mazi;

mz: hi guys, I don't know when next I will be contributing but the time table should be adjusted because I'm presently serving a Ban from Mynd for derailing this particular thread. My offense was that I pasted the link to my birthday thread here. Btw, today is my birthday and my birthday thread is running at the General section. Thanks all.

I'm beginning to believe Flow's comments have an element of truth. How can someone trying to invite his fans to his thread to drop their goodwill message be termed a derail? You all are here having a good time with the chats; isn't that still a definition of derail? Mynd was exchanging pleasantries with a lady here, asking for mails and replies of mails, isn't that derail? There have been catfights here but the culprits are still having a good time. And to think that he dished out the ban to him on his birthday when the poor lad was just trying to express his happiness makes me shudder; who does that? Mynd of all people? Seems like devil taking a role call up in heaven.

I smell malice at the way this ban was implemented even without a warning.

Have a nice day you'all.

I wonder what the guys that have been swearing that PEJ and GEJ have no hands with the Rivers crises do now. Defending these two dolts becomes harder and harder as the day goes by.

Amaechi is the elected governor of rivers state, if he chooses to demolish okirika waterside slumps, he has all the rights and legal backing.

Auntie Pershie, concentrate in spending the N1bil budgeted for your husbands feeding and leave elected officials to do their work.

This woman has been the wife of the deputy governor; wife of governor; wife of vice president; now wife of president, how hard could it be to be schooled on such official protocols? I'm sure the number of personal assistants she has surpasses that of any elected official in the world; yet none of her assistants can whisper meaning to her ears. Or is she that dumb that her brain doesn't retain simple tutorials?

Most of you seem to aggree with him that the man is protected by immunity clause, I strongly disagree with that,Senetors and reps members are not cover by immunity,the only people that are protected by immunity are president,vice president,governons and deputy governon others are not protected by immunity,!

You are right, but not totally. This is why half knowledge is dangerous. Inasmuch as the immunity clause does not cover legislators, but their actions, speech, votes on the floor of the HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY is protected by immunity. So whatever action they take in the floor of the house during their legislative function is covered under immunity.

Chidi maced his colleague inside the floor of the state house, so his actions cannot be prosecuted in a court of law;

I'm tired of repeating the same thing over and over again.

Wizard_of_Oz:
so you're saying Hon Lloyd can shoot someone in the chest with a pistol and get the murder caught on tape doing it and as long as he's in the State assembly house, he's immune to prosecution??
Wow..

Yes! That's what immunity is all about. However, he can be prosecuted after his tenure expires. Or, the house can be coerced to suspend him; thereafter, he could be prosecuted. The case of Alamesiagha comes to mind.

Did you border reading the transcript of Al mustapha's judgment? He was cleared of whatever offense he must have committed simply because under military laws, he did nothing wrong because he was following the last command. The worse he would have been done was to be court-mashalled.

So, yes! Even if Mustapha pulled the trigger that killed khudirat, the court still freed him. Same applies to hon chidi; immunity covers him.

chizhim: As for the Immunity some people here talk about, the immunity only applies when the House of Assembly is in session and its Honourable members are sitting. It doesn't merely refer to the "House" as a building. Consequently when it is not in session, the house is nothing more than a mere/ordinary building and there is no immunity whatsoever.

Hon. Bipi declared the house open, therefore, they were in session. The mace was there also. What else do you need?

They only have immunity for what they say on the floor of the house against civil claims. They do NOT have immunity against criminal acts.

What's your definition of criminal act? Chidi saw intruders in the house with a strange mace and he stood to defend the constitution which he swore to protect. Chidi Llyod should be celebrated as a defender of our constitution. I'm seriously recommending him for a national award; OFR to be precise.

Relax! No need to start cursing. Its the law; and like I said before; the court is a court of law, not a court of justice, nor a court of morals or religion.

There's no need for a defense attorney. The IG of police is aware of the law, and an ordinary letter addressed to them to remind them of it will put them in order.

However barbaric what he did may seem, the court is not a court of Justice, but a court of Law!
