euromoney: Well said@goodtalk..I hope he understand much better now.Yea, I get it now. I didn't factor the return ticket deal. Now, this is what I call advising; not malicious and verbal abuse with the sole purpose of denigrating a fellow. Thanks guys, you guys are doing a great work here. I will certainly hang around and read more, I did enjoy the thread. Shalom. |
goodtalk: @Ujchief, u said in your post that you are new on this thread, i will advice u read backwards on old posts i bet you will be better enlightend! Thanks. This is exactly what I've been doing. I virtually slept on this thread. I've gotten enlightened on the process. The advice of using 150k to get a 2months visa was wonderful. But let's also consider the fact that after getting the work, you will need to pay for flight ticket to return to naija to process your 2yrs visa and then pay to go back again. My cousin also read thru the inputs and was the one that raised this question. He was like it will most certainly amount to spending close to same thing if he goes that way. We've really found this thread helpful and educating, but do check the points he listed. I read somewhere in page 4 where someone talked about this particular 2 yrs deal my cousin got and pegged the cost at about 400k - 550k; that's almost the same amount my cousin was asked to pay. henrimoto: now @ goodtalk and igwee prof.. pls. ooo, does it make sense 2 use (3k dollars) dey go find ninety thousand naira monthly job..? how many months will d person use 2 recover d initial money...?This is just what I wanted to find out on behalf of my cousin. This is what we, the entire family members are deliberating on. We have assumed that the deal is true and real, so what we wanted to find out is if its wise to use 3k dollars to go and get a job of 90k naira monthly, with accommodation and transportation. Btw, I choose to ignore your justwise. They say first impression matters, I'd rather remain ignorant than seek advise from an arrogant fellow who believes I should know everything by default and posits that I and my cousin needs to see a doctor if we can't decode that we're being ripped off. Worse still, he is a mod of this section and I find it hard to see the intent of his malicious behavior. |
justwise: Bitter and paranoid? You are very far from the truth. No man is a fountain of knowledge. You might be opportuned to know a lot about travels, you might be a dunce in music or drama. Gerrit? If my cousin and I are well grounded in matters as such, I won't be posting my concerns on this board. Finally, quit quoting me if you have nothing positive to contribute to my course. |
goodtalk: . My friend oya oya quick quick adjust t'he write up on your signature! Who made you 'the chief'! That admonision was on a serious note! Now on t'he lighter note are you sure u have been reading old posts? I dont think so, how can you pay mr X factor almost 500,000 naira to go to dubai? I assume t'he cost of flight is not included, And t'he purported job his offering is not yet known? Thanks for your input. I didn't know dubai visa and flight tickets were that cheap. Like you rightly pointed out, I'm not a regular on this section. I came in to start a thread b'cos of this, but saw this thread and felt it was best I seek inputs here. According to my cousin, it seems mr X works with a company that hires expatriates for companies in dubai, that is why he is not sure of the particular job opening that will be available as at when his visa will be ready. He (my cousin) has made contact with the 2 guys mr x brought over. One works with a fast food joint, with accommodation and a meal per day. He is paid an equivalent of 81,000 per month. The second guy works with the security department of a big hotel. He said his work is to sit in a room and monitor cctv cameras. He is paid 90,000 per month, with accomodation and transport. That was why I included the last paragraph of my first post since he has verified that it is not scam. I have some odd feelings that the said company mr X works for do deduct a percentage from the said salary. I also want to know how easy it will be to find another job in dubai after the expiration of the said 2yrs contract. |
justwise: If you have this glorious testimony about that Mr X why are you here asking for opinion? Why not ask your cousin to go ahead with it?I included that last paragraph because my cousin seems to be so sure that he is not about to get scammed. So I needed inputs on the said amount, the job, possibility of getting more education etc just as @goodtalk advised. Btw, you sounded very bitter and paranoid. Has our paths crossed before or is this how you are? |
My cousin approached me for an advice. I couldn't help much so I decided to post it here so you guys can advice him. jjj: I got an offer to work in Dubai. Here is the details:Your honest input is needed. The said Mr X link is authentic as he lived in the same street with my cousin before traveling and has successfully brought his younger brother and 2 other guys over to dubai that my cousin is aware of. Thanks. |
tojahh: Please O°˚˚˚°! I want to know if i will be allowedYea, but its easier to go thru the unofficial way than to start filling forms asking for permission. Depends on the camp sha, but you can always sneak out and come back. ![]() |

This was from the thread you created last time angelhair: I have NEVER felt like this in all my life. Walahi, men have no idea how to bring a woman to her peak. I've had orgasms before but the one that vibrator gave me,And when sexkills attacked you, your reply was this: angelhair: Bia why are the guys vexing. I'm not saying u can't perform you're not bad but u aint got nothing on my v1brator.Why would someone take you serious now? Stop teasing us, inasmuch as there are kids on this forum, there are some of us who value our time and when we squeeze out small time for leisure, we wouldn't want someone insulting our intelligence with tales by moonlight. Btw, in case you insist that this story is real, then stop crying foul since you've obviously been cheating him with your v1brator. Ciao. |
They actually thought that by name, the governors will sober up and beg to be re-united. They are actually scared the governors might leave the party, thus the hint that they should apologize and come back. Whatever sha, sipping my alomo and munching some pop corn. |
See wahala!! Which wan be GEJ and GJE again? Abeg, I don't really think it matters, the trio are still your names; more importantly, your surname was not interchanged, so wtf? #NB: next time you wan use an example, try something like Bill Okechukwu Clinton ![]() ![]() |
CrazyMan: Sticking it here is the best I can do...hope you're ok with that.Cool...you're the boss. |
Niel baba: pls bro wat kinnd of seconndary assignnment u doin ,please gv me clue ,I needd to save more like u to get my Msc wit sm professional course like u plsI was already working before I went for service. texaco1: because Nigerians have refused to stay in their own countryIf Europeans stayed back in their countries, they wouldn't have colonized the whole world. There's nothing odd about traveling out to establish and diversify; afterall, God himself is in support of it when he asked us to be fruitful and multiply; He even had to force the Noah generation to spread when they refused and built a tower to house them and their generation at a particular spot. |
www.nairaland.com/1316324/ex-batch-b-corppers-how#16133626 Consider for frontpage, maybe after modifying the topic to include all corpers and not just batch b. Thanks. |
N19,800 x 11 = N217,800. That's what I saved. Except the first allowee that was paid at camp, I didn't go to bank once to touch that NYSC account. Well, it was easy for me b'cos I had somewhere I was doing a secondary assignment ![]() so it will be wrong to measure other corpers savings with mine.As for my plans for the cash, I've already paid N50k for NISP safety professional course (levels 2 and 3) starting on monday thru friday at ph. After this, I will still find other professional courses to enroll with the cash, and maybe pick my Msc form with it. Trying to empower myself with the cash so when I remember my service year, I wouldn't say it was a waste. |
When we celebrate!!!!!!

Julieccentric: Hello guys, 3 pple asked for what the consequence would be if its positive..can u guys tell us?Doping test is a test done randomly on selected players to ensure they are not using hard drugs and steroids. If a player fails the doping test (meaning that traces of hard substance was found in his bloodstream or urine), he will be sanctioned. There will be no consequences for the Nigerian team if he fails the drug test. He will be sanctioned with bans. Maradona was picked for a doping test after the Nigerian game at USA 94, he failed the test and was sanctioned; none of the matches he played was cancelled. Kolo toure failed doping test and received sanctions, no point was deducted from his club. Rio Ferdinand of Man utd was picked for doping test but refused to go and was sanctioned; that's why we Nigerians has nicknamed him "igbo" up till now. |
its a cultural practice. it has no significant religious givings and is not ordained by Odinani Religion.
Hypocrite!!! You've been canvassing all over nairaland for everyone to embrace their cultural root and religion; to abolish the burrowed cultures and religion of islam and christianity. Now, you've been shown the real religion and culture of the Afrikan and you are shivering and panicking. Bloody hypocrite!!! Odinani religion my foot!!! |

Its possible for Jose to sign for chelsea, there's a higher probability of him signing for Monaco. Calvalho (35 yrs) just signed for Monaco, and we all know that where Calvalho goes, Mourinho follows; Fc Porto, Chelsea, Madrid and now Monaco. Monaco is building a great team, with the recent signing of Falcao 'the tiger': and we all know Mourinho is an open admirer of the Columbian. But his visit to London for the play-off finals makes the speculations favor chelsea. Waiting to see how all these plays out. |
obadiah777: BUT HE IS A NIGERIAN. YOU ARE NOT WHERE YOU ARE BORN. YOU ARE YOUR HERITAGE.Your theory is flawed in all direction. Man is a product of his 'ENVIRONMENT'. He has never been in the Nigerian environment, his belief and subsequently, his actions were as a result of the british environment. The only influence he could have gotten would be from his parents. Hello Brits, we've checked our data base and we don't have any Adeboloja Michael: you guys raised a beast, deal with it and stop passing the blame. |
Br3nd4: Na today?Ahh! My team mate @ugly with swag! I heard you're his mum, how manage? |
