Why should UBA be punished if I may ask sir?
With covid effect which we already envisaged will have serious impact on coy's 2020 Q2 results, we should rather say that UBA really tried for even paying any interim div self, not to talk of them paying 3kobo less the normal interim div.
The donations to FG on covid is a form of biz in disguise if you ask me. grin
Anyway, if UBA will visit sub N6 like you said, it can't be around this time.......let's wait and see what GAZ will pay first.... before concluding on 'punishing' or not. tongue
Ma, na to buy more units i de find oo cool

Sense man...you want to buy more at lower prices. It wont happen grin grin

There won't be any meaningful drop in share prices they way i see it for now. I believe worst case scenarios have been priced in.

.....or it may well be the case of information trailing share price instead of vice versa as we were led to believe about "perfect markets". Take Guinness as case study.
I want buy more as you rightly said.... grin grin

Sorry dear,
I forgot that its half yr reports that we are expecting. wink cheesy grin
3k drop in interim divided compared to previous yr distribution.
Looking at the report, we might as well pass some of the blame on covid-19 !! Apparently, the bank had to make donations in that line as part of its CSR.
That donation of over N4.7B was indeed one of the key contributors to the higher expense line(other OPEX in view) ...the other was the surge in remittance for contract services by over N4.8B YoY.
Those 2, together with the mark-up on impaired assets and higher admin expense, explains the ~21.7% drop in NET MARGIN despite increased NII and NFCI.
Good that NIM retains a positive track though.

Drawback? Yes, but earnings trajectory remains stable.

UBA still remains UNDERVALUED at the current mkt price.

Selah
Thank you Sir

But let's punish UBA small for not given us our 20k or increase it to 25k self..

....don't we need donations to ourselves as shareholders in this pandemic too?

Hoping UBA will come down to sub-N6 self grin grin grin

Nope. That's a negative. No one is testing anyone at the UK airport or upon arrive in the UK. No one in the UK is interested in your test result when you come as a visitor as there is no facility for this when you arrive. You are expected to self isolate straight up.
No be small thing oo

Things may change as International flights begin on September 5th, 2020

Please guru in the house. I am a bit confused. I am about submitting my uk visit visa application for 8 days but I keep wondering if it will make any sense to the Eco for me to spend 8 days for my holiday without coming out of my hotel room. We all know that we need to quarantine for 14 days when we arrive. Can ppl please share there thought on this?
I think if you test for covid-19 in the UK airport on arrival and your negative, there will be no need for 14 days self isolation.

My thoughts though....

It's obviously very cheap, with a dividend yield of 14% + ,infact just a few rentals does that, but cheap may become cheaper, so its always good to have in mind a downside possibility of 15 -25 %.and cash reserve to key into this in case it happens. The trick is not to go in at once, but in tranches
Waiting for more southern movement after Q2

what is the monthly genuine demand of dollars by the Nigeria economy ? What is the speculative demand...what is the corrupt income demand .....the last two demads are false demands and many Nigerians holding dollars up and down dont have any tangible reasons ,buying and hoarding dollars to speculative....going forward i will advice the cbn to shut down dorm accounts holding ...once your are in Nigeria u must spend Naira .....Naira is the tender here ....why do americans, British and other dont hold dorm naira accounts in Britain .......20 bn dollars unproductive dollars warehouse in dorm accounts .....this false demand must be taken out....
Excellent view point

Agricultural stocks will need to sell off later. I foresee Okomu at N35 and PRESCO at between N25 to N28. Just tread carefully.

I posted wapco as a stock that will surprise the mkt b4 any member here and i still stand on it. just trying to reason why wapco selling at currentprice with the superb result compare to others in the same sector.

if u compute earnings growth rate of those company may be you will understand where am coming from. cash flows is very important for me while analyzing a stock, wapco had fantastic H1 cashflow so as BUa and DC.

BUA is currently selling at premium based on earnings valuation but at discount base on cash valuation. cash i call oxygen is one of the reason bua price refused to fall

wapco is currently selling at a discount based on earnings and cash valuations for the first time after years of hardship grin

i say it again wapco is a good stock to buy for me before bua and dc

grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
Thank you Sir Currentprice.

At the right time, Mr Market will visit us at Wapco Basement grin

It's important to be cautiously optimistic with FBNH.
Though the coy is a BUY @ the current mkt price, but there are still a few clear worries.
...which could potentially disrupt the thing about the current growth trajectory going into H2, 2020.

I'll advise folks to assign more of their portfolio in fellow P2P coys, ACCESS and UBA ahead of FBNH.
A 40, 40, 20 or 45, 35 20 percentage weighting in ACEESS, UBA before FBNH, in that order won't be bad idea.

Selah
I prefer UBA to Access until ACCESS has finished swallowing other smaller banks in Africa.
