Elai147: It's a good idea to have more than one broker. Since you already have a good relationship with Investment One, and if they have a good customer service, I will advise you to keep your portfolio with them and put your long term cash-flow stocks there. You may use your portfolio with MorganCapital for trading and enjoy the low brokerage fees. Yes. Thanks for your advice and guidance. I really appreciate. |

Elai147: I didn't do biometrics. Some of these brokers don't know the requirements for inter-member transfer. Morgan asked me to do biometrics, bankers confirmation of signature and BVN, but I contacted CSCS and they confirmed that I didn't need any of those. When you are transferring from an active firm to another active one, it is a very straight forward process. But if you are transferring from an inactive/dead firm to an active one, the process is a little different and that is when CSCS requires Bankers Confirmation of signature, etc. You can email CSCS for confirmation of what you need for inter-member transfer.
If you have CSCS online, you will be able to view your stocks online as well as the transaction history of each stock (by clicking on the stock). You can also print statements of your account anytime. There are so many other benefits, and the cost is just N2,500 for yearly subscription. Am just thinking of leaving my portfolios with investment one and start trading a new portfolio in Morgan...I have a huge portfolio with investment one...mainly dividend paying stocks... I started trading with Morgan last Friday... I just discovered investment one cost of trading was very high....so all my new portfolios I am buying now will be via Morgan... I will only stop buying more stocks via my old broker...rather will start selling my portfolios gradually and transfer my funds gradually to Morgan... I feel the old stock broker may not want me to go freely...and I don't want to severe our relationship since nobody knows if they will start trading realtime and similar brokerage fee with Morgan in the future... |

Elai147: Sorry for the late reply...
Requirements for Intermember Transfer; • Account Opening Form (KYC Form) to be duly filled by you and returned with a utility bill and valid means of your identification. Get this form from Morgan. • Completed inter-member form (you can also get this form from Morgan). • Current CSCS statement of account (Get this from Investment One, or print from your CSCS online account, if you have one). • Letters of authority to CSCS and Resident house (Investment One) • Your resident house may ask you to pay some fees
Your target broking firm (Morgan Capital) should initiate the transfer request online to the resident broking firm (Investment One). As soon as the resident broking firm approves the request, CSCS would transfer the account immediately. Note: You should notify Investment One of your intention to transfer your account to enable a speedy process. They may try to frustrate the transfer process (especially if your portfolio is worth a lot of money). If this happens, just send an email to SEC and it will be done. Alternatively, you may copy SEC in all your correspondences with Investment One. This way, they will not try to frustrate you.
SEC (sec@sec.gov.ng) Njoku Agnes (anjoku@sec.gov.ng) Thank you....I traded with Morgan on Friday... The difference in broker's fee and precision in buying desired price real time in floor of NSE were very clear... I will move my fund in the coming weeks if all things work well with Morgan. Thank you once again.. I discussed with Morgan on Friday and I was told to do my biometrics with CSCS office before initiating the inter member transfer....please did you do biomrtrics with CSCS... What are the advantages of registering online CSCS account...? Thanks. |

fxuser: Those figures were the various market capitalisation for the d different banks.
''What is 'Market Capitalization' Market capitalization is the total Naira market value of all of a company's outstanding shares. Market capitalization is calculated by multiplying a company's shares outstanding by the current market price of one share. The investment community uses this figure to determine a company's size.'' - Investopedia (u can use www.investopdia.com for investment terms etc)
The other figure ''YTD'' was the share price performance between Jan to last trading date.
FBN still under performing the market since its share price was much higher in Jan compared to last week friday unlike the other 2 banks.
Hope this helps Thanks.. I really appreciate. |

fxuser: umm so I wonder what GT & Zenith will be giving out in the same time frame. If you are willing to bet on fbn for 2 years , also add the sector leaders join too sir
(Former ) Peer Comparison
GTB N671 bn mkt cap , +25% ytd
Zenith N514 bn mkt cap , +16.58% ytd
FBNH N136 bn , -26.12% ytd
there is a reason for d valuation gaps.
#whoknowsreally My Oga... a beg explain each bank data in details for me and other financial data ignoramus like me... Thanks you. |

Elai147: I moved my portfolio from Meristem to MorganCapital, and merged it with my old Morgan account. It was a very good decision, and I have been very happy. Meristem has a very good customer service, but Man shall not live by bread alone. If the iTrade platform is functioning well, you may not need any customer service. Please kindly tell me the details on how to move my stock from investment one to Morgan.... Thanks I need to do that ASAP Am waiting Sir |

My oga Chuks and Tritri.....una weldone... Wasting your energy in calling your dirty names to proof points...that is not maturity....
Oga Tritri seems to be right in this argument in real investment point of view...end point....
In TB....your just trying to meet up with inflation rate, hence, why its better buying TB than leaving the ,money in your savings account....
I invest in TB, Bonds, MMF, Real Estate and Stocks......each has its own PERSONAL reasons I invest in them...
If your very good in stock exchange investment... You can gain up to 100% return...otherwise.... Minus100% return
I now make more returns in NSE... After loosing some money in my learning days... With good entry point...you see your profit up to 100% in weeks during bullish period.....insider info always beneficial
Make we de overtake inflation small small with NTB.....high TB rates and inflation rates are negative to our economy..
Thanks

Chukzyfcb: not true bro regarding Government....Government are the biggest gainers when it comes to devaluation. This was why I often told people that if Buhari refused to devalue the naira , he shouldn't be criticised because his govt would benefit much from it. So he refusing it means starving his govt of possible wealth. Govt still export oil which can be used to servive debt plus selling 1 barrel of oil means extra money when brought back to nigeria because the dollar exchange rate is higher. Investors wanting to leave 9ja will need to part with more naira, gifting the govt more money. Mehn the advantage for them is humongous. I dnt see why you say govt will find it hard, they are the biggest gainers in the devaluation game What of FGN servicing external debts in dollars ?? |

OptimistGenius: Hello guys, I'm a newbie here and learning fast! Please does anyone in the house know what's going on with transcorp? I've done my DD, it doesn't look like it's doing as well as last year (fundamentally) but it's not like the company is dying or anything. As far as I can observe the so-called fall in book value is minimal. Yet it's been losing back to back for the past 10 days straight! Am I missing something?? Its really making me doubt myself. I think men in blacks are taking position by dragging the price down.... |

Mpeace: I wish you the same. Perpertual poverty is when you see a sinking ship and still choose to board with all you have. A company with liability of more than N400billion to be paid within 5 years, record yearly and impairment loses. Or do you think Buhari will still be in power or in good terms with the tinubus when creditors come for their money at the end of the day? Oga Mpeace...
