What will be the effect of PMB not devaluing naira against foreign currencies to NSE ? PMB says he has dollars@197 naira for those that want to do real agricultural and solid mineral resources businesses, not for those importing rice and toothpicks... they should buy their dollars at any price like 1 naira to $400, PMB doesn't send them... |

plendil: when did he say that?
According to the budget, about NGN1T will come from domestic borrowing. And just how will they get the money if not increasing the TB rate? Is he going to point a gun at our heads and force us to lend? This FGN is discouraging high interest rate for NTB and FGNBOND... Despite the low rate now, people are still investing in this NTB/FGNBOND today....that is how FGN will still raise the 1Trillion naira from domestic borrowing... When I listened to VICE PRESIDENT on channels TV 4weeks ago.... I understood what this govt is up to....discouraging people from investing in this govt financial securities, rather people should invest their money in the real business sector ,thereby stimulating the economy and employing more citizens... |

Am not interested in borrowing your money... If you force PMB to borrow your money, you will give him at 3%(90days)or 5%(@365 days) Nawaooo for this PMB govt...guys are not smilling |

myjoy084: Absolutely yes sir. The bank only needs your BVN and the name of those registrars. Your registrar might give you a call to confirm if you will like to change your bank mandate? Or they will just update your bank mandate via the portal with the new one submitted. My joy,,,please will my registrars still require my stockbroker's/CSCS share transfer specimen signature before paying my dividend if I register my e-dividend via my bank? Thanks |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ukay2: 11:03pm On Dec 03, 2015 |
Elai147: You can send the forms directly to the Registrars. It is not mandatory that your stockbrokers must sign the e-dividend forms. Just make sure you have your bank's stamp and signature on the forms before you send them to the Registrars (ensure you use a registered post).
If you purchased the shares via secondary market, you must ask your stockbrokers to process a share transfer form for each stock purchased. You will have to sign a portion of the form and send it back to your broker for processing. Ask your broker to email you the form and tell you exactly where to sign. Since you must process a share transfer form (via your broker) for each of these stocks, I would advise you to also process your e-dividend forms via your broker to make it easier for you. This means you will have to send both the e-dividend and share transfer forms to your broker. Alternatively, and to be on a safer side, send all e-dividend and share transfer forms to your broker to process for you, and also send another set of e-dividend forms directly to each of the Registrars. This way, the e-dividend forms will most likely get to the Registrars. In Naija, it is possible for you to send a post by registered mail and it will not get to its destination and will not be returned to you as undelivered (it has happened to me severally). This could explain why the registrars are yet to receive the e-dividend forms sent by your broker and it is also the reason I am advising you send forms to both the Registrars and your broker.
I am not sure of any bank that has commenced this. Don't waste your time waiting for a bank that may never adopt this e-DMMS system. Don't forget this is Naija. Banks hardly take CBN's warning serious on important issues let alone one e-DMMS portal thing. Thanks oga Ella: I just came back from work to see all your advice... Am grateful.. Just that am very busy now with work... I will look into it again when am less busy |

Elai147: I had this same problem some time ago. What I did was to resend a new set of e-dividend forms to my broker as all the registrars confirmed they did not receive the e-dividend forms sent by my broker. If you're based in naija just fill a new set of e-dividend forms and take them to your bank for endorsement. If your bank has commenced the implementation of e-DMMS, you can register through the bank, otherwise send a new set of forms to your brokers or directly to the registrars. Thanks Oga Elai... I would have liked to send them to the registrars directly but there is a space for your stockbroker stamp in the e-dividend/bonuse mandate forms...hence, the reason I go through my stockbroker-investment one. Can the registrar accept the e-dividend form without the stockbroker stamp/endorsement? Please APR said my stockbroker should send CSCS purchase transfer form...please what is that Am far away Lagos state Please I don't know which banks that have commenced the e-DMMS portal system? ... My STANBIC bank is yet to commence it. Thanks my Ogas as you guys help me out...it is discouraging me from investing in NSE as am yet to see my UBA/Nigeria Brewery interim dividend warrant since I don't have e-dividend mandate with the registrars.. |

3.. Doest it also cover for e-bonuses mandates...?
4. How long will my registrars be notify about my e-dividend mandate from my bank?
Thanks for your answers...
I will go to my bank for enquiry about this e-dividend mandate system.. johnpalmer774: God Bless you for this Wonderful comments but please i need you to help me out with this issue because am totally confused here though am not a Law student but i have little knowledge about Law...........Does any of our Constitution both electorate act and 1999 constitution mandated a Political Party to choose a runner up to the Winner of any Primaries in case of any Substitution like this occur or does it just Mandated Political Party to choose whoever they want the reasons for asking now is because the person that came second in that Primaries is Yayale Bello and his not from Igala and according to the Popular saying in Kogi now those Igalas still want an igala man to replace audu but if APC went ahead to choose an igala man who does not participate in the Primaries or participated but does not come second don't u think Yayale Bello might head to court to seek court interpretation on the issue and if the Party also decide to elevate his deputy to that Post don't u think one one of those that contested the primaries might head to court as well and arguer that Faleke never contested party Primaries but as it stand now my only suggestion is for APC to arrange another Primaries only if the Law allow it. There is nothing like another primary for APC because NO COURT NULLIFIED the first primary election... Tinubu/APC should swallow the bitter truths: 1. Alhaji Yahahya Bello/James Faleke OR 2. NewAPC Primary with FRESH KOGI GENERAL ELECTION of which PDP/WADA may win.... Remember am APC member .... |

angrybull: It is important that a single investor should maintain only one CHN but different investors account with individual stockbroker there is nothing wrong with that. In that case your stock holdings should be synchronised and made to reflect in your CSCS account. For other questions I believed Carpenter was right on them. But My oga Angry bull... Does it mean that having Single CHN but different CSCS account with different stockbroker, ALL my total portfolios in the different stockbrokers will be seen as ONE? |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ukay2: 6:55am On Nov 10, 2015 |
carpenter: This is based on personal experience.
1. If you gave your CSCS number to the new broker, stocks with the different brokers will be in the same CSCS account. If you did not and they have no way of knowing it is the same person (sometimes records might show you are the same person, maybe they can match addresses and other details you filled), they will open another CSCS account for you.
2. Dividends and bonuses will be treated as the registrar deems fit. I have two accounts with the same broker and own FBN shares and Julius Berger. a. FBN shares are treated by FirstRegistrars seperately and I receive 2 dividend warrants, bonuses accrued to each account based on number of units is deposited seperately. b. Julius Berger (GTL registrars), recognises these shares are owned by the same person. I receive a combined divided warrant and bonus is lumped in one of the accounts. c. I have shares of the same company with 2 different brokers, in fact one has less than 800 units. I receive a combined dividend and bonuses in only one of the accounts.
I am okay with any approach as long as all that is due to me gets to me, so I have not bothered to complain to any of them.
3. If i were you, I will fill all the Units I have and indicate with which stock broker...you can also ask for clarification when submitting the form. It is the same registrar so they can work things out however you want them.
4. For simplicity, better to keep one CSCS number but no harm in having two also if you want the two accounts seperate. Thanks my oga Carpenter... My new stockbroker... Morgan capital... Wants to open a new CSCS account but with same CHN number...I don't know the implications of this action? |

angrybull: I think he gave you valid answers to the question but it is good you will also know that every stockbroker has its own difficulties and challenges. personally, I think Morgan services is very good in comparison to their moderate commission.
I will not advise you to initiate share transfer from your other stockbroker to new one in case you want to do it. The host stock broker will frustrate all your efforts in attempt to transfer your shares. It is better you sell your shares in your host stockbroker account and use the proceed to purchase shares with new stockbroker after you must have opened your account. In this way, you have peace and reduce stress. Thanks for your brotherly advise. I really apprrciate.. But won't SEC/NSE sanction the stockbroker for not allowing me to do share transfer to my to be new stockbroker? I think after selling my shares, I will ask them to redeem the proceeds to my bank account from there, I will buy another share from the new stock broker I will soon Chang to. |

I think its a deliberate policy by the CBN to force down interest rates so that banks could lend to businesses; considering the facts that we are now staring at 2 qtrs. of negative GDP growth and that will only mean recession.
but on a personal note I think as soon as the govt of PMB starts making fiscal expenses, CBN will have no option but to mop up the excess liquidity in the system.. So my oga @ the TOP... So one should go into Stock exchange market for now...
