PETERiCHY: FOOD 4 THOUGHT
```At the point of death, a man, Tom Smith, called his children and he advised them to follow his footsteps so that they can have peace of mind in all that they do..
His daughter, Sara, said, "Daddy, its unfortunate you are dying without a penny in your bank.. Other fathers' that you tag as being corrupt, thieves of public funds left houses and properties for their children; even this house we live in is a rented apartment.. Sorry, I can't emulate you, just go, let's chart our own course..
Few moments later, their father gave up the spirit..
Three years later, Sara went for an interview in a multinational company.. At interview the Chairman of the committee asked, "Which Smith are you..??"
Sara replied, "I am Sara Smith. My Dad Tom Smith is now late.."
Chairman cuts in, "O my God, you are Tom Smith's daughter..?"
He turned to the other members and said, "This Smith man was the one that signed my membership form into the Institute of Administrators and his recommendation earned me where I am today. He did all these free. I didn't even know his address, he never knew me. He just did it for me.." He turned to Sara, "I have no questions for you, consider yourself as having gotten this job, come tomorrow, your letter will be waiting for you.."
Sara Smith became the Corporate Affairs Manager of the company with two Cars with Drivers, A duplex attached to the office, and a salary of £1,000,000 per month excluding allowances and other costs..
After two years of working in the company, the MD of the company came from America to announce his intention to resign and needed a replacement. A personality with high integrity was sought after, again the company's Consultant nominated Sara Smith..
In an interview, she was asked the secret of her success,,
With tears, she replied, "My Daddy paved these ways for me. It was after he died that I knew that he was financially poor but stinkingly rich in integrity, discipline and honesty".
She was asked again, why she is weeping since she is no longer a kid as to miss her dad still after a long time..
She replied, "At the point of death, I insulted my dad for being an honest man of integrity. I hope he will forgive me in his grave now. I didn't work for all these, he did it for me to just walk in".
So, finally she was asked, "Will you follow your father's foot steps as he requested ?"
And her simple answer was, "l now adore the man, I have a big picture of him in my living room and at the entrance of my house. He deserves whatever I have after God".
Are you like Tom Smith..? It pays to build a name, the reward doesn't come quickly but it will come however long it may take and it lasts longer..
Integrity, discipline, self control and fear of God makes a man wealthy, not the fat bank account..
Leave a good heritage for your children..
As an agent of CHANGE, please share this true life story with your loved ones..
God bless us all..``` Something GOOD is coming out from Sir Peterichie, godlyguy and myjoy085... That was a nice write up |
Jessglam: Gurus in the house, please advise. I tried to do tbills in gh a a Nigerian but I was told they do not sell to foreigners. I wa advise to do fixed deposit instead at 14.24 for three months. Meanwhile I figured 91day tbills in nig I 15percent plus. Do you advise I transfer the money back to home and get the tbills?
Please @feelamong assist me with this. Please transfer the money to naija and enjoy the high NTB rates currently.....just send the money to your naija bank and instruct your bank on the auctions-91; 182 & 365 days you want with the rate you want with STANBIC IBTC Bank or go with the bank rate with GTB, FBN , eco bank or any other naija banks you have... |
unite4real: That's not how it is done. They will debit ur account after discounting. 2.5M naira will not be debited from your account. For example, 17% of 2.5M is N425,000. The difference which is N2,075,000 is what ur account must have.
Also DMO makes you understand that Auction date and Settlement date is different. Auction day is on Wednesday while settlement day is next day Thursday Your very correct oga united4real I think the person above with STANBIC IBTC Bank issue should enquire what happened from their head office direct.... |
LuzSp: Lately GT Bank have been stressing me and have made investments having tenors of 97 and 178 days. Though I did not specify a stop rate, I asked that my bid to be done in the primary market. Yet I got 12.97% for 97 days when I was expected their rate for 91 days (I specified the tenor). The CBN stop rate turned out to be 14.14%. I had to get to the bottom of it. One absurd, standout statement my account officer made was that the bank was not successful in the primary market. How could that happen to GT bank, and in Nigeria? Another shocking thing he said was that he invested my funds in the secondary market because he knows that customers' only concern is to have their money invested, they can't wait for two weeks. I let him know that I'm certainly not that kind of customer. Haste and desperation are not my thing!
I've decided to put in more and clear details and instructions (rates, tenor, primary market, and what to do if they decide not to get me exactly what I'd asked for) in my next application (if I still invest via GT bank) and to follow them up with phone calls (too much stress!) once my application has been sent my account officer.
I'm leaning towards porting to Stanbic IBTC (I prefer forms to letters, always!) or any other primary dealer. I've got 'till end of September. No mind GTBank....they MIGHT invested your money in this primary NTB auction maybe got 15%, and resold it to you as a secondary market at 12.97%, making a gain of 2.03% without stress... That is what most banks do....even STANBIC IBTC Bank... But their own is that you have option to bid for yourself and once your bid is successful, they will not tell you stories......The BEST thing is to bid for yourself and take the risk... Since I understood this, I have been bidding for myself.... For all successful bidders....debitting of your accounts will start today till Friday(tommorrow).... So relax if your account is well funded.. |
They come, raise capital, go back and share it, give out kobo kobo out of what they collected from the SHAREHOLDERS to the 'SHAREHOLDERS' ( HOLDERS OF SHARES INDEED!!!). How I wish 90% of the 'INVESTORS' knew what they were doing/were financially literate. Consider the LOOT that awaits you without any risk (except that you may be too happy and attract kidnappers) if you are heavily liquid like mercury right now. olujaidi: Not necessarily correct. The way the auction works is thus: if the bank bids with a certain percentage and this percentage falls within the band of interest and is not above the marginal rate, the bank gets what it bids for. If the bank doesn't estimate correctly then it would get a lower rate. Please explain with percentages and figures for us not in the banking industry to learn... Thanks |
