Hi to everyone, Am taking this little time of mine to say a very BIG CONGRATULATIONS to those that their visa have been approved and are making preparations to check out of this our beautiful country, all those that are current, even my brother that was denied for one reason or the other I encourage him not to lose hope or say that that is all (IT'S NOT OVER UNTIL IS ALL OVER) God has a better plan for him, and all those that have gotten their 2NL and are waiting for their Interviews, and not leaving out those that are yet to be current including me.

Please which ever one you are into. Let's always look back to all the beautiful things God has done in our lives, and give Him all the glory because He deserves it. Always remember that it's only God and God alone.

Please I'll like us to take a little moment reflecting ourselves back to how our lives, how are we living our God given life,
Are you a Child of God?
Are you showing love to one another?
Are you living an Exemplary life?
Are you following the footstep of our Lord Jesus Christ?

Let's consider those questions and so many other ones that we can live and people can say something good about it.

Let's reflect on our lives and draw close to to God, let's acknowledge God as our all in all, and also in the spirit of preparation let's put God first and know that without Him, we can't do anything.

Remember: Prayer is the Key.

I got there around 4:50am and met 5 cars packed outside cos dey open their gate by 5am.

We drove in at 5am and waiting in d us consulate premises. At about 6:30am dey started security checks and we sha went inside d hall. They wasted our time cuz all d interview consulars were having a meeting. And dey started interviewing us around past 10 or so. In a nutshell, my num B402 appeared on window.... Hmmm I've 4gotten d window number cos of d extremely cold a/c. My interviewer looks good oo, beautiful white young woman.

Darhmee: Hi guys.. so here was how it started.. I did the visa lottery for myself as the principal and my mom as the principal back then. So when my mom won, the only the only thing i have was the confirmation number.. i wasnt sure if i registered my dad and my siblings with her but with faith, we continued the processing. My dad didn't want to go with us because he has businesses he is running here in NIgeria and also, my older brother is over-aged. So, i and my mom decided to do the processing for just the both of us.
However, because of the rareness of our case, people said we will be turned down, they said we will be rejected bla bla but i and mom paid them no listening ears.. That really helped!

So today, our interview was for 7am, we got there 5:45am, and at about 6:15, we were told to line up, we did security checks, people's powder, phones, sharp objects, liquid, charger, containers were disposed..(please do not bring any of these with u to the embassy, its an lot of trouble finding how to dispose them).

So at about 8am, we were inside the hall, my mom paid for the both of us and when it was time for submission of document, the woman in charge told my mom to go out and take another passport photograph because the one she has with her was with a blue background. So my mom went out and the cheapest rate she could find for 6 passport photograph was N2000!! Can u imagine?!.

So she brought the passport and while we were submitting our document, the woman asked why my dad wasnt included in the first submission and my mom said it was because he wasn't interested, the woman shook her head! Right there, i had thought we would be rejected.

So at about 10:15, our number beeped on window 17.. the CO was a beautiful and young black American
She told us to swear, took our fingerprints and then the conversation below ensued
CO: what is ur name ma'am
My Mom: xxxx
CO: Did u fill the lottery form urself
MM: Yes
CO: So why is ur sister here with you:
MM: She is not my sister, she is my daughter ((we both laughed)
CO: OMG.. Im so sorry.. Wow madam.. u look so young and she is gorgeous
MM and I: Thank you, u look beautiful too
CO:. Who is philip and why is he not going with u
MM.. he is my husband and bla bla
CO: what is your highest level of education
MM.. bla bla
So she excused herself for a minute, came back, typed some things into the computer, gave us 2 sheets of paper.. (i was already jumping by then lol). She then said, your visa has been approved, pick up this this this that.. i wasnt listening anymore

So guys im not gonna lie to you, i and my mom prayed and fasted for days before attending that interview.. we even went to a 7 nights vigil that ended last SUnday.. If not for prayers and God's favour, we wopuld have been denied. Please lets prepare ourselves and pray to the God/gods we believe in.

You don't need to worry yourself about that cos the 2NL will be will uploaded on the DV website i.e https://www.dvlottery.state.gov/
But meanwhile if you want to retrieve your e-mail you can simply go to Yahoo website i.e https://edit.yahoo.com/forgot?stage=fe100&src=ym&intl=us&done=http://mail.yahoo.com&partner= and simply answer the questions they will ask you.

OR
You simply open a new E-mail and then send a mail to KCC notifying them of the change of E-mail, remember to include your NAME, DOB, CASE NUMBER.

And in addition to that if you don't want to open a new E-mail, you need to be checking your 2NL on DV website when you are current cos it will be uploaded there and not your E-mail, But the E-mail is just to let you know when the 2NL is available for you.

You don't need to worry about that cos the Attestation of Birth comes along with Affidavit from the court.

When I did mine, I only gave them my personal data, and that's all.

So please don't worry yourself.

Madu77: Please house I went to NPC office at Moscow road PH for my attestation of birth and they did not ask me for affidavit from court. I gave them my data plus my wife own but was asked to go and get passport copy of any of our living parents. I hope the absence of the affidavit is not a problem or raise a case later?

Consider this:

Bulletin for July (2013 DV Winners) was 17,775

What you need to do is always pray and relax your mind about it and before you know it, the 2NL is right there with you.

You don't have to worry yourself on anything. The bulletin for Nigeria has been slow, but there is absolutely nothing to worry about cos its yours already, so don't be anxious or desperate.

What I can say about this is always follow the bulletin @ http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html so you can know when your case is current.

I have been selected for further processing for DV lottery 2014, and I have sent a Form (DS-230 Part 1 & 2 and DSP-122) since 1st week of June 2013 to Kentucky Consular Center's Address.

However, I have NOT receive any 2nd Notification Letter. If I Mail KCC about my case, they keep on shifting the Month each time the month is getting closer to the month they previous sent. For Example.. I av been mailing KCC since July 2013 bout when i will recive my 2NL and they keep on sending dis (KCC is currently scheduling visa numbers for your region for the month of October) they shifted it again to November, they shifted it again to December, and now January,..)

Please, I will like if the Admin or anyone on these site can possible tell me when i will receive my 2NL, when to be current for Interview.
Am really scared as av not receive any 2NL since and many Nigerian's av been scheduled for Interview. My Case Number is 2014AF00016***

The only payment you will have to make @ embassy that is at the time of your interview is Processing fee of $330.

But you can also remind yourself on the list of docs required.

3. Birth Certificate/ (NPC Attestation of Birth)
4. Marriage Cert. ( where applicable)
5.Police certificate ( WA)
6. Medical Report
