donparosky: your first question isn't very clear sir. is it the price the companies buy per tanker or the price of palm oil per tanker or the price of hiring an empty tanker. Second question: tankers are of different sizes but the common one you need 33000 litres to fill a tanker. third question, yeah and sometimes better. they buy using FFA, MOISTURE, IMPURITIES etc Thank you so much sir. The first question was What price do the companies sell a tanker of palm oil? |

Please, can someone help me with the price of a tanker of palm oil from big producers like presco and okomu?
How many liters make a tanker?
And is their oil quality good like that of the local mills?
Thanks as I await your reply. |

Daboomb: The NLC and the Minister for Labour needs to take this Woman and her compnay to court and the workers need to come together and institute a class action against the compnay!
First, this woman must be made to understand that she is in Nigeria, trading in Nigeria and employing Nigerians....not Chinese. She must understand that every country has their own CULTURE and ways of showing Respect or Arrogance. Bowing to a "foreign object" (be it a Budhist god) IS NOT a sign of respect in the nigerian culture, it is Idol worship and it is frowned upon by all Nigerian religion and cultures.
Secondly, this woman must be made to understand that she employed these Nigerians TO DO A JOB..... not to bow or to determine their reverence or attitude". Once they do their job as specified in their employment terms, she has no right to force them to bow to some lifeless Budha object or intimidate them with sacking.
Her claim that they are arrogant (who determines that? Arrogant to who?) as being the reason she is asking them to "bow to an object" is stupid, laughable and slavish!
If she thinks they are arrogant, she should let the "Budha object" speak with its own mouth and explain to Nigerians, how not bowing ot it translates to arrogance .... if the lifeless object can actually speak or determine who is arrogant.
Nigerians cannot go to China and tell them to worship Muhammad or Jesus, in China so how come this woman, a later-day slave master, think she can force her employees, who have their own cultrure and religion, bow to her useless idol image?
NLC and the Minister for Labour should come to the rescue of these workers and force the woman to pay the sacked workers adequate compensation for torutre and work-place harrassment. The company should also be warned sternly to restrict its activities to BUSINESS or get the phuck out of Nigeria, if it wants to practice "religion".
A work place is for work, not for worship of the owners idols. Enough is enough. what sort of trash is it. Is Christianity and Islam our culture. If you classify the Buddha as foreign deity, Jesus Christ, Yahweh, Mohammed and Allah are also foreign deity. Don't classify any Jesus as part of our culture, he isn't. In some companies owned by Christians, they make it compulsory for all emplpyees (Christians or not) to engage in morning prayers, and if you refuse to join because you're not a Christian, they can sack you for insubordination. When queried, the employer claims that without his Jesus and the grace of Yahweh the company wouldnt be. So the woman has realized that without Buddha she is no-one, it's by the grace of Buddha that the company runs. Has your lifeless, imaginary Jesus or Yahweh spoken to anyone before. Rubbish. Tell the Christians that institute prayers as company policy that they employed people to do a job and not mumble words to some imaginary being. If government wants to take action on this woman, they should also take action on Christians, Muslims and co who force employees to observe their religious rituals or be dealt with. A work place is a place for work, not worship of the owners deities be it Buddha or Jesus or Yahweh. |

DKM123: No it isn't a waste of time. In fact it is one of the most useful and the best of all the points.
I am not even looking at it from the spiritual angle. I am looking at it form the psychological point of view and how it affects the physical and mental well being.
Do you realise that being a praying Christian brings about the kind of therapy that even a Professor of Psychology or therapist can't give? It gives hope. It gives happiness. It gives contentment. It gives peace of mind. Its unburdening and surreal.
At the end of the day, instead of becoming a drug addict and ruining your life because you feel empty and unfulfilled, it would have been better if you were taught (or indoctrinated, which ever way you choose to look at it) as a child to key into the "therapy" of prayers. This may be the best life hack asides education you can give your child. Some ignorance are actually blissful. Children should be taught the truth and not some comforting lies. No matter how bitter the truth is, they should be told and taught to stand up to that bitter truth. Should we say that because drugs make one feel good and forget their sorrows, then we should encourage everyone to start taking drugs. That is how when they have children, instead of them to take them to the doctor when sick, they will praying, allowing the innocent child to suffer. |

It's your type who would get up there and tell people below you to "go and die or education is not for the poor" keep kwayet......... those countries that are pushing and already offering free education to tetiary level, what is their tax to GDP ratio, the least they are have is more than 30%, some have it above 40%, but in a good year, Nigeria will get 4%. If the tax rates of those countries are introduced in Nigeria, u will b d first to attack d government saying they want to suffer d common man. Nigerians don't pay tax, yet we get everything for almost free, that's why oil price will fall and lecturers will b owed salary, what's d correlation between oil price and lecturers. Only in Nigeria u will c a local government council that can't generate up to N400k monthly will b paying salary of N10million. People that don't pay tax will b charged N50k yearly for medical education in university and will still b complaining, imagine, even Ghana charges far more. It's either Nigerians accept cheap and low quality social services or expensive and high quality ones. If I become president, I will run universities like private institutions, income must be more than expenditure. Then all the money currently been wasted on universities will be used to offer free, compulsory , high quality primary education. Junior secondary education will not b free, but will b cheap cos it will be subsidized. From then upwards, u pay the cost for ur education. Smooth278: Please give examples of countries where religious organisations pay tax or even charity organisations...
Let me make this simple analogy: let's say Mr X earns 100k monthly and pays 13 to the govt as tax leaving him with 87k; he then pays a certain sub to the religious organisation or to charity... Now if the govt collects tax on what he has given does this not amount to double taxation
This is the rationale behind the tax exemption!!!
Now all the tax that government has collected what have they used it for so Mr X earns 100k monthly and lays 13 to the govt as tax leaving him with 87k. He then pays a certain amount to a trader for a bag of rice. Going by what u said in your post, the trader should not be taxed because Mr X has paid tax already. Mr X also buys cement from dangote, therefore, dangote should not be taxed because Mr X has paid tax already. If the trader and dangote are taxed, it is double taxation. Now You See how silly your comment was. And don't ever put church and charity together, they are 2 different things. The church is a business that makes profit. |

Now be sincere oga, I never said if MBBS looses accreditation, BDS must loose as well. I said if a school looses accreditation at a stage where both MBBS and BDS students share, it will affect both. For example, if a school looses preclinical accreditation, it will affect both MBBS and BDS cause they have similar requirements at that stage. It will be difficult for BDS to loose accreditation at preclinical stage without it affecting MBBS. |

boiz2men: optometrist are not under the umbrella of nma.. They are an independent organisation. Optometrist chose johesu over nma. Dentists in nma are like "boy boy" to general practitioners.. Optometrists didn't want that. I think what fg meant by tasking optometrist to reduce blindness is for optometrists to create more awareness for PREVENTABLE AND AVIODABLE causes of blindness and to impede the progress of blindness through diagnostic techniques and examination.
My point is ministry of health is under the leadership of an nma member. For an nma member to recognize optometrists as the first line of defense against ocular issues (e. g blindness) is surprising.
Some Optometrists outside Nigeria are licensed to carry out simple procedures or operations that don't go beyond the anterior part of the eye. But you know, nma have fought relentlessly for that not to happen in Nigeria. Optometrists are supposed to be in FRSC to test drivers before they are given drivers license but nma and some bad eggs in optometry hijacked it..
There is currently a brain drain towards the Middle East. Go to LinkedIn and search for optometrist with Nigerian names..you will see that most are working in the Middle East. stop misinforming the public. Why are you trying to divide NMA. Dentists are highlyly respected members of NMA, they are not been discriminated against, they are not "boy, boy". In fact, medical doctors and dental surgeons see themselves as equal, theres no bad blood between the 2 professions. We are one. |
