Over hyped town. These pix were taken in one tiny area, just within govt house area. This area constitute just 5% of the town. Where are the area that constitute 95% of the town like obiagu, asata, ogui, Awkunanaw, abakpa, emene, uwani, etc.
What's wrong with those places you mentioned, all those places have their roads tarred..We still have Acharalayout,Meniru,One-day, Transekulu, independence layout,Topland,Gariki, Maryland,Old and New GRA.All these places I mentioned are decent and most streets there are tarred. The only places you can find ghetto in Enugu are coal camp/asata,obiagu and some parts of akpakpa and all their inner streets are tarred.. Enugu is not over hyped,it's cool city on it's own.

Bros, they are more than 10, those are just the popular ones. I personally met a myriad of Igbo Muslims, at the Central Mosque, Abuja.
The thing just weak me for some people, someone will be somewhere trying to say what he knows nothing about.I have never seen an Igbo Muslim before.. Even if they exit, people won't need to write articles to show that they exist.infact, most people igbos would have been encountering every time..Igbo Muslims are insignificant that's while there is no igbo muslim governor, minister, senator, local govt chairman even ordinary councillor unlike in the West and in the north where they dominate..Nobody needs to be told that there are Yoruba Muslims or hausa Muslims cause everyone sees them everyday..I don't know why this people have been masturbating on this thread since.

There is no native muslims, but the Imam is a non-native abi. You people just like to deny things a lot, the bolded alone says it all contradicting yourself, can you see you lack comprehension skills, before you said there is no mosque in Nssuka except in UNN, meanwhile the community has a central mosque, so the community central mosque is a virtual central mosque abi, as I have said before ma tan ara e (keep deceiving yourself)..Islam is here to stay in Igboland, deal with it. Lol...[/s]
Go back and read the news you posted oga,you are not smart..There are community of non natives everywhere around the world..If you to any part of Nigeria u will see communities of igbo people and those igbos are non natives..Btw,it's Nsukka. otherwise Nssuka.

Ugwuanyi commends Nsukka Muslims for peaceful co-existence
— 18th April 2018
Felix Ikem, Nsukka

Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has commended Nsukka Muslim community for peaceful co-existence with their neighbours and host community.

Ugwuanyi gave the commendation in Nsukka, yesterday, during the installation of Alhaji Sani Ugwuanyi, the Imam of Nsukka Central Mosque, as the leader of Nsukka Muslim community.

“Enugu State government is happy with the Nsukka Muslim community for the peaceful co-existence with their neighbours, irrespective of tribe and religious affiliations.

“Members of Nsukka Muslim community have, by their good conduct, shown that they are God-fearing, patriotic and detribalised Nigerians,” he said.

The governor, who was represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Market Affairs, Chief Aniegbulam Ezeugwu, reiterated that he is the father of all in Enugu State, irrespective of tribe, religion or political party affiliation.

He said the state government will continue to ensure adequate security, justice as well as peace among residents in the state.

He congratulated the newly installed muslim leader in Nsukka, and urged him to continue to do those things that made the people elect him as their leader.

In his remarks, the traditional ruler of Nkpunano community, Igwe Patrick Okoro, commended muslims for their peaceful nature and good neighbourliness since they started living in Nsukka.

Speaking shortly after his installation as the leader of Nsukka Muslim community, Ugwuanyi thanked the community for the confidence reposed in him.

Meanwhile, women in the state, under the auspices of United Enugu Women for Gburugburu, a socio-political organisation for the promotion of peace and good governance in the state, yesterday organised “a solidarity march” in support of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s re-election in 2019.

The women said they support Governor Ugwuanyi’s re-election because he has performed creditably in office and positively touched the lives of the people of the 17 local government areas in the state, despite prevailing economic challenges in the country.

http://sunnewsonline.com/ugwuanyi-commends-nsukka-muslims-for-peaceful-co-existence/

The muslims Governor Uguwanyi commended are from Hausaland and yorubaland abi. Keep lying. I know a person that served in Enugu 15 years ago, he told me how he felt relaxed anytime he visited Nssuka as a muslim.

Even with your last comment shows your hatred for Muslims and Northerners. Just because a blogger called Dauda Ayanda a muslim from Yorubaland wrote about Islam in igboland you called a "joke". The blogger even gave references for further studies. Mr. man do research and stop carrying lies all about. He said, there is no mosque at Nssuka (only in UNN) meanwhile, the community has an Imam that is an Igbo mudlim. Ma tan ra e (keep deceiving yourself).
Lol..I can see you lack comprehension skills..read what you just posted again...So Muslim communities in Nsukka to you means native of Nsukka ..read the bolded very well oga and stop typing nonsense..In the North we have Igbo communities does that mean that those igbos are native of those places.. As for the imam, he is free to practice what ever religion he likes, nobody threatens or kill you in any part of igbo land for your religion as longer you don't constitute a nusiance to the community..And look up for the imam on google,he is not from Nsukka but from enugu ezike in igbo-eze north local govt..Out of all the 18 towns in Nsukka local govt, there is virtually no native Muslims..You can't know my place more than me. Stop typing what you know nothing about.

Lies right.... Please, read an excerpt from this article and go through the link. Nssuka people were the first to embrace Islam in the SE, thanks to their northern neigbours. A religion entering a city or a town or country doesn't mean it will be the dominant e.g Turkey and Syria or Najran (a province in present day Saudi Arabia where Christianity was more dominant. Even during the time of Prophet Muhammed, peace be upon him many of them still practiced Christianity under the leadership of the Muslims Khalifa)where Islam came after Christianity after many centuries.

ISLAM IN IGBOLAND – BETWEEN “PHOBIA” AND REALITY (PART1)
REALITY -

The advent of Islam in Igboland was probably during the mid-nineteen century C.E. or even sometimes prior to that period. The Igala and Idoma people with whom the Igbo share border had cultural influence on the people of Nsuka who are considered as pioneer adherents of Islamic faith among the Igbo. The impact of Islam could not be felt among the Igbo until towards the end of the nineteen century. By the beginning of the twenty first century, a large number of Igbo around Nsuka began to embrace Islam. Before the establishment of the British colonial rule in Igboland, Muslim traders who came to the area won converts for Islam. Those traders include the Hausa, Fulani, Nupe people, and some Yoruba Muslims especially from Ilorin that joined the crusade later. During the British rule, most of the labourers used in road construction and as warrant officers assigned to look after some of the places around Nsuka were Muslims from Nupe and Hausa lands and they assisted the traders in disseminating of Islamic faith.

http://daudaayanda..com/2015/02/islam-in-igboland-between-phobia-and.html
You are not from Nsukka oga, even your source is a joke written by a blogger who is a Northerner..I still repeat Nsukka people were never Muslims in the first place reason why there is no mosque in the entire local govt apart from the small one in UNN..Stop posting what you know nothing about..If anybody chooses to be Muslim or christian that's the person personal business, people most times convert to other religion for personal reasons. Most villages in Nsukka are filled with churches, you can never find mosque in any village in Nsukka..If Nsukka people were first Muslims, the evidence would have been there in the first place. There would have been large Muslim population and mosque in the whole Nsukka..

Only a Mutula won't believe there are Igbo people that are Muslims. Based on research done by a lecturer of University of Nigeria, Nssuka; Islam was the first strange religion that entered Nssuka before christianity.

I know few Igbo muslims which my mother's friend is one of them. The Eze Abdulfatah Emetuma I know his wife, she is also a muslim and also a lecturer in one higher institution in South-east. Their children are all muslims, even one married an Igbo muslim lady.
There some Igbo muslims that never practiced christianity in their lives courtesy of their grandfathers that accepted Islam more than half a century ago.
stop lying here,Am from nsukka and Christianity was the first..I never in my life seen an nsukka person who is a Muslim..most nsukka people are Catholic followed by Anglican..if Islam was the first in Nsukkamosques would HV been everywhere in Nsukka infact the only mosque in the whole Nsukka is the small one in UNN and the mosque is there for Muslims from the north and west..stop typing lies in the internet in order to get likes..

As for the abandoned Maryam Babangida auditorium, same weak foundation story was circulated during our time. An excuse that is as lame and ridiculous.Only in Nigeria do we hear such lame excuses. If the foundation is weak, there are a million ways to shore it up and these include redesigning of the base, installing core reinforcement columns and pillars both on the base and the sides etc. Such excuses dont fly in the face of current advances in Civil and Structural engineering. Politics has always been in the details. If completed, that 7000 seater auditorium would have been the biggest in Nigeria and arguably Africa.
Recall that Nnamdi Azikiwe Library is the largest University Library in Nigeria and was vigorously pursued and completed, against all opposition by Dr Sam Egwu when he was the Minister of Education strictly as a legacy project.
The burnt Engineering laboratory is still not restored and Chemical Engineering department cancelled as a fall out of the Civil war is yet to be allowed to resume again. Hell will freeze over for the teleguided NUC to grant such approval again. I wish our people will really understand the depth of conspiracy going on in Nigeria especially as it affects us.
The theatre is massive and would have been an iconic one if it were to be completed. There is already civil engineering laboratory.I heard that the faculty were planning on adding another department of mechatronic but I don't know how serious they are with it..

Nice meeting a superlion, which department did you finish from??

Where exactly within Nsukka campus do they intend to erect this building? Aside Vet,Agric Faculty and Green gate area,is there space anywhere that can take this massive structure? Meanwhile,is the Maryam Babangida theatre still abandoned or being constructed?
Apart from those places you mentioned, there are still enough spaces to erect the structure..That place were Maryam theatre is located still has large expanse of empty land..Pius Anyiam was erecting a big structure there too but I think work have stopped on the project. As for the new Senate building, I just hope it's not a way for them to loot some money .There are already many uncompleted big projects in UNN and UNEC too which if it were to be completed the school won't be were is it now.

As for the Maryam theatre, the project have been abandoned since..There is a rumour going round saying that it was abandoned because they did a poor work in the foundation and that the building is collapsing because of that.Nobody knows the actual truth why it was abandoned.

I hope u will not complain when other future governors overlook development of Nssukka?

We the AWGU LGA are yet to produce a governor even though we are the oldest LGA in Enugu State, if not for Senator Ekweremadu who is trying with his constituency project to develop Awgu, all previous and present government always neglect us.

God punish them all.
For your info Enugu has 17 local govts and many of them are yet to produce a governor.its only three local govts that have produced the governor since it's creation while the remaining 14 are yet to.Ugwuanyi is not from nsukka local govt but from udenu local govt area.infact, the governor has done more for nsukka local govt more than his own local govt,I hate it when I see people saying that the man is sectional in development which is like.Nsukka is the second largest town in population after Enugu town and what the governor is doing to open up the town so that Enugu will not be a state with just one city..We should say what we know all the times and not making false accusations to make someone else look bad..

your admission depends on some factors like:
The number of applicants in your department
The number of students needed for the department
The general performance of the applicants and
your state of origin.
So, if the applicants in your dept are many and they performed very well then the cutoff mark will be high but if like the applicants are many and they performance are poor, then the cutoff of mark will be low then with scores like yours, your chances of getting admitted will very high.
In my own time, the cutoff mark for Electronic was 238. Your chances are very high, don't panic yet you will surely get admitted.
