berem: @ Okija aka Unknown Member ,What has eye service got to do with going for a courtesy visit? If Petet Obi was the one who went with Fashola to see things for himself, it's the same you and your haters who will insult and call Rochas all manner of names because he didn't go. After all, Peter Obi is not a member of APC. You should stop being a hypocrite for once and be real.Miss Berem. You seem to be deeply and helplessly in love with this Okija Juju Person. have you told him how you feel?! You never know how that might work out. Stop refering to me as him. ANYWAYS! Lets getthis matter straight; 1. Lapdipo market is in Lagos not Imo State. Rochas has no Jurisdiction there whatsoever. 2. Rochas visiting Ladipo is all to what purpose?! Is Ladipo a disaster area?! Why didnt Rochas visit Mile 12 market, Ketu markets when Fashola closed them down last year?! Why didnt he also visit Oshodi Market and Computer village as well when it was closed by Fashola?! 3. Ladipo Market closure was not political but simply for environmental reasons. Rochas' vist to the market brings in an ethnic/tribal angle to the matter which is absolutely not necessary. 4. Rochas has no business interfering in lagos State affairs. His state has so much to deal with as it is already. Insecurity in his state is higher than River, Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom put together. #This matter between Lagos State Government & Ladipo market traders is a simple one that didnt require Okorochas visit. The man seems to jump at every opportunity to appear in the press and take pictures. This is classic eye-service/busybody. Rochas should return to his state and govern them. Lagos State Government does not need his intervention. |
What exactly is the meaning of WOMENS DAY?! What are you women celebrating?! What reason do women have to celebrate today?! Women are an endangered specie in the world I live in today.. They are being savagely hunted down and eaten up by 'girls'. This should rather be a day of mourning. Mourning the slow eradication of what womanhood use to be all about. I weep for women. |
berem: Okija juju, at least he showed up in Lagos to plead on behalf of the traders. When is Peter Obi and other SE governors gonna do the same?Peter Obi is not an eye service Governor. If Lagos State Governor shut down the market in Lagos because of environmental hazards, why then should Obi go and beg. Let the Marketers clean up their mess and should Fashola refuse to re-open the market after the Marketers have met his demands, then the need for Gov. Obi to mediate would arise. All Rochas is doing is what we call eye service. Another chance to appear to Ndi Igbo as a savior/caring governor. His State is rottening away and he is busy concerning himself with Lagos State affairs. If he wants to impress me, let him Open up a big market in Imo State and ask all the Marketers at Ladipo to relocate there for free. Again, this is another classic eye service move from Rochas. We are not decieved. P.S: Why did you refer to me as Okija Juju?! |
jmslimx: This Leaders always forget that MUSIC , MOVIES do not build the society , For America , South Korea , Japan to be what it is today is the development of man power , Technology , Scientist , why cant they invest money on young Nigerians to go learn some special skills with 3billion..We the youth need to stand upto these leaders .. without it i dont think we would go anyway forwardYou are a lazy child that is still waiting on someone to invest in you.. Go out and start something from scratch. |
WOW!!! So Even Tinubu can talk... |
#CLassic Nigerian Civil Service Story.. I can never forget my encounter with the Police P.R.O in Zone 6 Calabar. I went to his office to ask for directions on how to get a Police Character report. This man had absolutely no Idea what I was talking about. He then suggested that I should give him some money so he can write me a letter of introduction and reference that I can toke to wherever I was going. The Nigerian Civil service has been destroyed by ethinicism and mediocrity. |
I am happy Rochas has entered Lagos to see how governance works.. Maybe now Imo State would start to get more than just speeches from him. |
Gate fee to enter the U.K?! Why would I pay to enter that piece of shiit country?! ![]() Anyways, na people wey to go Jand dey hungry go suffer am. All I do is go for a vacation, visits and return home to AREA!! U.S & Canada I can understand, but not the U.K or any E.U country.. #Waiter, Give me 1 crate of Udeme with point & kill.. Then Keep 10litres of Palmmy with Ugba and Opkoroko, incase this match enter extra-time.. |
What contracts and to who?! ![]() |
andyzoga: Wickedness in d hearts of some NL. Come to think of it, what's democracy in it's true sense if less-priviledged ones are always at d receiving end? What stops d govt from relocating those folks? If proper Housing scheme has been in place by d govt b4 now, this kind of issue should've been a forgotten one. Why do pple have to be responsible for everything in dis country(housing, security, etc) and yet get punished by some power-hungry fellows in d name of development. And just because some fellows here can barely feed themselves they think they're living forgetting they're only existing in dis country, they no longer have feelings for d less priViledged. . . If govt is truly for d pple, dis pple shouldn't be left uncatered for. Some, if not all of those folks are most likely not from Ibadan. Relocate them to where?! Many people jump on busses in search of greener pastures in a new city and dont make adequate arrangements of how they will cope prior to hitting it big. We are a developing Nation for Christ sakes. It is the same you that will go to Dubai, return to Nigeria and open your mouth to spill bullshiit about our government. I gave an example of Rainbow City in Port-Harcourt. It was a slum dweling filled with Akwa Ibomites (Okada riders) & Yorubas (taxi drivers). It was cheap, make-shift houses that was housing over 5000 - 10,000 mostly migrant labourers and workers. All the thieves and armed robbers in Port-Harcourt all lived in Rainbow town. There were reports of how the Nigerian Police could not go into Rainbow town to apprehend a suspect for fear of lynching. Nobody could drive through Rainbow town in the 90's at Night. TODAY! I live in Rainbow area of Port-Harcourt. That place is like the new unofficial GRA of Port-Harcourt. Infact, that place houses the best Medium - Upper class housing Project in the whole of Rivers State. Looking back and remembering what Rainbow town use to be and seeing it now, I say thanks to the Government of Odili for removing that eyesore. Even in the U.S, Housing is not FREE! ![]() Slums still exists and every now and then, the government evicts the occupants of these abandoned houses, demolishes them and puts up new condos. People who end up buying them still have to pay their mortgages for them. If you cant afford city life, return to your villages. In the village, standard of living is so low, you can feed well on 200 naira a day, ask corp members who served in remote villages. In my village, I will never go hungry. NEVER! My Father at some point moved back to the village after his rent expired and he couldnt afford a renewal. He only returned to the city after he had recovered. I know a woman who lives in the village. She farms, sells her goods in the city and goes back home after the day is done. The city is a vicious and wild place. Only the strong survive. If the land is indeed being illegally occupied, all your rants are as meaningless as a 1 naira note. We are a developing nation and development must come at a price.. |
MusicCafe: DON'T LIE THAT 4TH PICTURE IS NOT BENIN, THAT'S LAGOS AIRPORT, LOCALHow would you be so certain?! Even Port Harcourt International is wearing the exact same look now.. I think they used the same plan for all the airports. |
Dana Air is offering a Bonanza at Benin airport o!! Fly for free to any destination you like. No ticket No excess luggage fee Free onboard food Plus return ticket all for free. |
Nice fire.... ![]() All those niggars are royally screwed! After the Fire, Fashola can step in and re-build the market. Wood marketers need to know that their business's greatest enemy is fire. The wood shavings and dusts on the ground is just as bad as petrol if not worse. Fire hydrants and industrial type extinguishers (specifically the sort of extinguishers for quenching their type of fire) should be all over the market. My heart those those businmess men who must have taken loans from loansharks and banks. Its indeed a sad story. |
Reference: My friend wake up. Is there any settlement or habitation in the world that is not as a result of migration. The US, the UK, Lagos, Abuja, name them.I am speaking about 'settlers' in terms of slums, not rural settlements. An example was old Rainbow Town in Port-Harcourt. It was a slum settlement filled with migrant Okada riders and menial labourers from other States especially Akwa Ibom. They knew that their habitation of those slums was illegal. I am sure thats the same case here. Illegal migrant settlements. |
Of the land is being illegally occupied, then it has to go.. #Simple.. Reminds me of Rainbow city Port-Harcourt.. The biggest slum dwelling in Port-Harcourt back in the 90s. When Odilis bulldozers moved in, people cried foul and even attempted to destroy the bulldozers. Thank God for the military. Point is this, if the land was illegally acquired, then it must be destroyed. If not today, then it will surely come tomorrow. Development always comes with a heavy price. Rainbow city today is prime property in Rivers State. I witnessed that transformation first hand. Most of these inhabitants of slums are simply settlers. They will migrate to another once this is done. My heart goes out to the occupants, but if the government is right about the status of the area, then they have got to go. However, 24hours eviction notice is rather inhuman. |
darmiee1: Sad! This Young Lady Who just Received her NYSC Call-Up Letter Died in a Fatal Road Accident on her Way to Imo state's Orientation CampThis is one of the most useless reporting I have ever seen in my life. It's like the reporter is trying to blame the girls death on the federal government. Splendour magazine.. no wonder. R.I.P to the young girl. Death is an inevitable phenomenon. Please corp members should be careful on their journey to and from camp. |
Adolf Hitler Idi Amin & Saddam Huissien.. Not forgetting.. Muhammad Ghaddffi, Sani Abacha, Hugo Chavez, Osama Bin Laden, Ahmeddinajad, e.t.c.. They were all fucktards, but they weren't mediocre fucktards. The world will keep talking about them for ages. Good or bad, they stood for something they believed and pursued it without fear. |
Bros J. is not smiling... ![]() He prolly just finished listening to 'Anam a' chikwanu' on the flight.. Any Baggar wey step to am, go chop stabbing.. As a Niger Delta boy wey ehn be.. No negotiating with terrorists.. Carry on Baba.. #2015 can't be stopped.. #2015..TheFreshAirContinues... ![]() |
Donpuzo: Cultism is a very deceptive venture. Seeking for power but running like hussaine bolt both when there is a hit and when there is non. The best a cultist can do to a jew is threaten him. "It is more honourable to hit a confra man than a jew"Last time I checked, it is an offence to hit a Jew. |
Illiyahama: @ Unknown Member,The church hit I heard of, they came for the drummer boy and as soon the shoot out started, the boy whom they came for returned fire and bailed out the back.. Anyways, keeping a low profile is definitely an option, but if we look at things from the aspect of a wanted man, you may need to leave the country. Some folks have been hit many years after leaving school o! I have heard of people who got felled on their wedding days by frat men. Your best bet is to never get involved in the first place. Low level frat men need not take as much drastic measures sha.. Na point 1s and hitmen dey get this kind headache. The evils that men do now live with them. |
I wonder what exactly would be in their test questions for which they would need to cheat. Question 1 (20 Marks) You are at a checkpoint in Maidugiri when a trailer arrives. The driver is obviously underage, has no particulars, is drunk and does not have money to settle. What would you do?! Answer: shout Shege damburuba! Come down now!! Ubanka!! dash him 2 standard military spec slaps, flog him 24 strokes with government issue koboko, make him do frog jump, kneel him down under the sun for 2 hours, make him roll in the mud and if he tries to run, cork my AK-47 and shoot him in the head, then plant evidence on him and call him a Boko Haram insurgent.Chikina! |
Again, the Nogerian government shows why they are very useless.. 1. I don't blame the government of Fashola for demolishing those houses. If they were built on illegally acquire lands, then they have to go. I don't blame Fashola because those houses and the associated deals that handed over the lands to the owners most likely precedes his administration. However, I think he needs to set up a panel to investigate the deals and claims of the house owners. Anybody who has acquired a land in this country, wether government owned or community land knows that it is indeed a difficult process. From acquiring C-of-O to even enquiring about a parcel of land all involves bribery and underhand dealings. He needs to look into the claims of the affected house owners especially if they produce genuine documents of approval from government agencies. Cases like this can lead to prosecution of those who were in charge of these agencies. 2. Where were these agencies when these Landlords started the building of these houses. Anybody who has ever built a house or been involved in the building of one kows that immediately you mobilize workers to the site, all manner of community and government agencies decend on your site demanding one approval or the other which it's be paid up on full before work is allowed to continue. If these agencies approved building plans, permits and all other such documentations for houses being built on illegally acquired lands, shouldn't they also have some sort of liability in this matter? 3. How straight forward is the Lands and housing agency and all other associated agencies that deal with lands in Lagos!? If I need to purchase a land tomorrow, can I easily get information on that land!? This Lagos state master plan, how easily assesible is it to Nigerians!? I ask because if it is indeed still shrouded in secrecy, more Nigerians would fall victim tomorrow. on a final note, the owners of the affected houses should go to court, although I doubt they would get much as the houses are indeed built on illegally acquired lands. Fashola should also look into some sort of compensation for the affected parties. He isn't blind to how difficult things are in the country and for somebody to lose a house in these trying times, it could kill some of them especially the retirees and those who were genuinely ignorant in this matter. To intending Land owners, please do a proper research on all properties before you acquire them. #Nuff Said. |
Illiyahama: Another important point for cultist intending to quit is.....Then you haven't heard about a hit carried out inside a Church before... ![]() |
DEATH..... This is the surest way out. Change of location also works, but with the advent of Social networking today, there really is no hiding place available on earth anymore. Anybody interested in finding you, will eventually catch up with you, especially if you were a hitman, an executioner or a Capone. |
eriegua83: ur brain must be retarded, ghana cedis is almost equivalent to a dollar nd u re vommitting poo, where is our naira rubbish no wonder Fashola can spit such rubbish for people like you to eat. Nigeria economy is rated above that of uk after all lagos is in nigeria nd recieves allocations frm nigeria. Nonsense talk frm an empty brain to senseless people to believe. Lagos economy is not even growing faster than the english premier league(epl). The biggest league in football. Uk really suffer not even london or liverpool cities but the whole of uk.Lol.. Ghana Cedis exchanges for 1.9 New GHC (which has the exact same value as 19,000 Original Ghanaian Cedis) to 1 U.S Dollar. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghana_cedi. |
I strongly believe that this new trend of posting ADEBOYEs self-enriching propaganda on the Frontpage of Nairaland would be the death of this sight... RCCG has a website, why not leave his messages there!? If this is a new trend, why not find one Islamic scholar (which I am sure Maclatunji would know some of them) and post their messages as well on the Frontpage. Whilst you are at it, don't leave out the Jehovah's witnesses, Eckankar and the host of many other religions as well. Seun needs to reconsider this new move. It is in very bad taste. |
Any Man who can't relate to this post is either very broke, plain hugly or a combo of both.. I just returned from Lagos today. Whilst sitting at the airport alone, I could count over 15 women there that I would love to hump instantly. The girl sitting directly opposite me at some point adjusted her poorly buttoned shirt such that I could see her KEGS (which were truly beautifully and wonderfully made by God. #LimitedEdition). I am a newly married man (2weeks old) and I seriously contemplated giving her my complimentary card to meet me later on in Lagos (Thank God for super-natural self control). Truth is I had already had s'ex with the chick in that airport finish mentally, the question now would be when it would manifest in the physical. And I knew she was easy because i kept catching her starring at me with intent. I was the last to board the flight because I had to wait for my commander-in-Chief to stand at ease first before I could stand up from where I was sitted. We men truly have to deal with a lot daily. In my office, even the tea girls and cleaning ladies now know that the guys there are a catch and have all upped their games. Even the I.T girls are not left out. There is this one I.T girl that wears these really killer mini skirts and stilettos that sends my blood into over pumping mode. Little wonder we have recorded cases of some men driving away their wives of many years and settling down with tea girls and I.Ts. You ladies should please know that if you put your goods on display for sale, we men would price and buy them. We are human for Gods sake, not saints. Even Jesus sef would have had a hard time dealing with the kind of temptation we are faced with today. Ashawos in the days of Jesus, would look like DeeperLife women compared to the average girl on the streets of today. May God continually give me the strength and will to overcome. I have never cheated on a woman even as a bachelor, so I don't want to ever cheat on my wife, but even I can't promise myself that anymore. Life is hard! |
What business does cattle rearers in the north have with oil down south?! Nigeria jaga-jaga |
All I saw when I read the article was; "Fashola said".... That makes this news so insignificant, the price of garri was not even affected. |
Metallurgist: just look at how hate blind reason and sense, APC donate 200 mil.
