shadelek: Each time I feel like paying tithe, I prefer giving it to the needy and not to the church. I think it's the right thing to do considering the fact that our church founders are wealthy and the wealth is coming from the tithes and offering donated by the church members. What baffles me is the poor standard of living of these church members, so poor that some of them hardly eat three square meals a day. Just keep it to yourself |

opribo: Oyedepo is spot on, real men of God should be fearless. He said if Bubu is indeed who he is he should address the nation on the very grievous allegation on him being a double.
What on earth is wrong with that. Bubu and his men should prove the celebrated allegations as false. All these verbal counter attacks is not the answer. I wont be surprised to hear Winners Chirch will be subject of vicious attacks but that will be their waterloo.
Discernible people are seeing beneath the smokescreen and they are talking. Nobody can hold back the truth, it can only be covered for awhile. All we are saying is there is something about this bubu that is not adding up but in the fullness of time all will come to light. Very very simple thing to do , the time in campaigning for 2019 pls use the same time to clear this issues |

If Obasanjo had called a common man who is no thief a thief, lawyers will sue on behalf of that common man if he doesn't even have the legal fees or knowhow, how much more someone of Atiku's status. If he wasn't a thief he should have sued for damages to his name and reputation. Atiku only demonstrated political loyalty to higher power |

midolian: One thing I respect this man called Buhari for is that he doesn't talk much..but when he talks, he says it as it is. This man won't play politics with words. He is the only Nigerian leader who can say to an angry lion ready to devour him that it's hair is bushy..
Oyedepo and co will involve themselves in partisan politics just to get Buhari out because of dwindling tithes and offerings in their churches.
Like Buhari said, Religious leaders should not be seen to involve themselves in partisan politics or political controversies, otherwise they risk losing their status and public respect. Plz they started mix religion with politics long ago, brows through the history of politics in Nigeria, so why complaining now. |

GoTV:
Even though I'm a born again Christian, The viral video of those young girls and boys showed that the church has failed. Instead of preaching salvation and condemning immoralities, our churches and pastors are interested in preaching prosperity, tithes and offerings. Every message is based on financial returns for churces and their criminal G.O'S. Cases like this are predominant in the south despite the high concentration of churches. How many muslims will you find partaking in such immorality? Muslims girls are well groomed, covered in decent dressings yet we Christians see their ways as primitive. When organizations like Muric lambast we Christians for our hypocrisy we ignore the message and begin to demonize Islam. Even though I condemn rape, events like this makes me ashamed of being a Christian. In my next life i will never join Christianity I think you getting it all wrong, the individual family take the blame, not the church that will children. If you don't know some people don't go to church or any other religions center but they are morally sounds due to right upbringing , so the family moral training had failed us all |

life2017: Amechi wants to change the culture of Rivers state. He want a better role model for the youth.
Rivers state have been ruled by thugs who grow through cultism to become Governors,Senators etc. Amechi, Wike,.Abe, Dakuku are product of growing through the street with alot of evil, cultism and thuggery to get to where they are .
As a result many rivers youth believe they will become successful by following thier footstep.
By endorsing Tonye Cole, Amechi want to change the narrative. He want a rivers state govern by technocrat and professional. People who can think beyond gangster politics like himself,Wike,Abe,Dakuku etc.
I think the progress and success of lagos, Anambra and recently Edo have thought Amechi that professionals are better manager of state than lifetime street politicians.
Obiano was a professional banker when Peter Obi made him a governor. We can see the progress in Anambra.
In edo state Obaseki was a professional investment banker when Oshiomole brought him to edo state to manage the economy and the state . Today, Edo state is becoming the most investment friendly state in Nigeria since Obaseki became Governor.
If Amechi succeed to make Tonye Cole Governor of rivers state, that will be a major cultural shift in River state. It will promote interest in Education and legitimate lifestyles in River state among the youth. The approach will do us good in electing candidate for presidential position come 2019 |
