Politics / Re: Difficult Times: Nigeria Needs God’s Intervention More Than Ever - Ugwuanyi by Utaroz(m): 6:25am On Jul 22, 2022
Your 8 year tenure is almost up. There re lots of infrastructural emergencies all over the state. Since the tenure of Sullivan Chime, the state has been run by a directionless and vengeful paranoiac.
Sending a bunch your political apologists for prayers in Israel does not improve the status of the state. God cannot be mocked. Karma shall undoubtedly overtake all the window-dressing
Keep fiddling while your constituency burns.

Does KIA guys are political thugs,in lagos you will see a uniformed LASTMA or KIA with so many scars on the face and body,if you think he his a gentle government official you making a mistake. They got jobs for them as a payback for there political thuggery.

True.

Touts in uniform everywhere, with no formal education or extensive training. If this happened by night in some lonesome neighbourhood, you'll wake up to see a naked dead body beside a broken motor-cycle.

Signs of the Times.

please any one that have link to His excellence Gov. Fashola (san) facebook should please bring his attention to this ugly scene from men of KAI, the man on red top is a helpless okada man that was being beating by men of KAI on 30/9/10

The man on red top does not appear so helpless in the picture. On the other hand, he seemed to be giving the uniformed fellow a run for his effort. I'm sure if the official didnt get some assistance from his cronies, the cyclist wouldnt have lost his pants in the scuffle.  cheesy

So typical of our country people to simply stand and watch the spectacle  undecided
Politics / Re: Igbo Leaders Summit: Ohakim Prevents Igbo Leaders From Holding Meeting by Utaroz(m): 2:24pm On Sep 28, 2010
Such brazen acts of megalomanic excesses are ways of ensuring a safe, probe-free reign of absolutism in the event of his candidate clinching the presidency. It was such reckless and undiluted display of loyalty that insulated Ibori during the reign of Yaradua. It's a Marchavellian option of the end justifying the means. Unfortunately, everything comes with a price and the law of harvest trascends our puny manipulations against a certain destiny. Most of those victims of lock-out are also on the wrong side of history playing the ethnic card to advance selfish political interests.  angry

If I were wiser, I'd understand better why Alex Ekwueme refuses to rise above the mire and don a deserved garment of a voice of national conscience!  embarassed

NYSC / Re: Which State Pays Corpers Best? by Utaroz(m): 4:28pm On Aug 12, 2010
The question should be to know which company recruit and pay corpers well. I don't think any of the states will pay above their minimum wage. More over, the focus should also be on the state that offer the best work environment in terms of personal development and safety/security.

oge4real:

Why is he stopping at 48? why not make it up to a round figure?

Do you believe he'll stop? As soon as the flavor wears off his current wife, he'd go get himself some fresh girl. I reckon he keeps telling every new one she'd be the last.  cheesy

I bet there are some able bodied energetic guys lurking around his fence in the nights whistling and making all sorts of signs to lure some of these wives out for quick service as it may take up to a month before it gets to their turn!

It certainly would take almost two months for him to go round the lot, even at one per day! However, the act of adultery with a babalawo's wife sounds like the hobby of a foolish man.  grin cheesy grin

Whenever the ATM for some reason is unable to dispense cash, my bank waives the charges. The'd be aware of the technical hitch anyway

what in a situation where the system is program in such a way that it will automatically charge for withdrawing on courter? will u start writing memo upon memo b4 refundn the customer

The charge do not apply to 3rd party withdrawals, so when you give someone a cheque for like 30k, it can be processed without charges. The same platform can be used to process withdrawals of small amounts without charges during ATM down-times. I do remind them at the point of withdrawal that I dont expect any charge since their ATM is offline.

NYSC / Re: Mark Seeks Extension Of Youth Service To Two Years by Utaroz(m): 12:50pm On Aug 06, 2010
I'm sure oga David did not think this idea through. The NYSC program was better organised in the past, and till the late 90's with just a single batch per annum. Now at two streams per year, the directorate can hardly manage the number of graduates churned out every year with back-log of graduates waiting their turn to be called up.  undecided

This request for an extention and a robust military curricullar will require more than an announcement for proper implementation. And the reasons proferred for its adoption can be easily addressed with a conscious rejuvenation of the education system in the country. You cannot apply a two-year cosmetic finish to a defective academic orientation and expect a miracle product.

Distinguished senator; address the rot in the academia and all other things (positive values) shall be added unto Nigeria.  cheesy

Romance / Re: Leave Me, I Am Not In The Mood ! by Utaroz(m): 1:37pm On Aug 05, 2010
Well, 6 years and 3 kids is quite a distance in your marriage but you still have a lifetime ahead, so you need to be sensible in handling this issue. From your write-up, there was no indication that your wife is getting some on the side, so this is a situation that demands more than the short term fulfilment of your sexual desire through sexual blackmail as suggested by some of us here. Please note that there are many issues to confront in marriage and many couples are handling tougher challenges than yours without jumping ship. What makes you a man is your ability to overcome the challenges in life and not by taking dangerous short-cuts.

You mentioned having had several talks with your wife and though we are not privy to her reasons, there is the solace that you are getting rolled once a month. That is something to hold on to till your wife comes round, and she sure will, in time. The situation demands among other things, sacrifice and delayed gratification. Men have given up more than sex for greater cause and your kids should be a source of inspiration in this case.

Politics / Re: Dora Akunyili's Nephew Writes by Utaroz(m): 12:20pm On Aug 05, 2010
Why did you not allow your immediate elder brother, Uncle Joseph, who is the first son of your parents, to be part of your delegation to the burial/funeral? By tradition, he was expected to lead the delegation of our Uncles and aunties. We were shocked when you stood in the Alter of God and publicly announced that your more successful younger brother, Uncle Anayo, was the head of the Edemobi family. Is Uncle Joe dead? Some of us can only hazard a guess as to the reasons. But Aunty, to deny him the opportunity to see the corpse of his eldest sister and also publicly deny him his birthright as the head of the Edemobi family (on tape) is an abomination! It pained us that Uncle Joe was not allowed to see his sister’s corpse and pay his last respects.

I'd expect Uncle Joe to make his own arrangement to pay his respects to his departed sister! Except ofcourse Dora also had him locked up somewhere on that day. undecided
