CrimeRe: Police Shoots Hawker Over Plaintain Chips. by Utaroz(m): 5:49pm On Nov 12, 2009
I support the call for Nigeran police Officers to undergo periodic Psychiatric evaluation. Many of them are actually unstable and they are parading around everyday with loaded guns! If a sergeant could open fire on a helpless and unarmed child, just imagine what could happen if you argue with such an officer at a extortion check point! undecided cry undecided

they thougt those actor are rich as they showw their faces on tv, can someone please tell them that they dont even have up to 400,000 naira in their account
You'd be surprised at how much our movie stars are worth these days. The era of 200k per flick has long gone and actors of Nkem Owoh's status are very comfortable.

Boboedom:
They should just remove the rubbish and move into thier offices jare, juju kee, this is 21st century, only he who goes to equity must have clean hands, I rest my case.
The challenge here is similar to the game of Russian Roulette. One has only one chance of finding out whether it is potent or not. If it is potent and addressed "To Whom It May Concern", you may try removing it without any instant harm. But you could be found at Ojota bus stop hours later, picking used satchets of pure water on the street and making umbrella with strips of your clothing. cheesy cheesy
It is also wise to acknowlege that there are powers beside science. The fact that you are a christian may not be enough to insulate you from dark powers if your christianity is compromised. Every promise in the bible carries a condition, so any attempt to deliberately "tread upon serpents and scorpions" will simply earn you a dose of venom. grin

In situations like this, it is more advisable to invite a powerful man of God to neutralize and dispose of the rubbish. But since Aloy emeka & an able assistant have voluntered their services, I rest my case.

selingel:
Do we now say, Enugu is no go area for actors (for now) in Nigeria?
If one actor gets kidnapped along Enugu-P.Harcourt expressway, It is hardly enough reason to declare Enugu unsafe for actors/actresses. Doctors, bankers and other professionals are kidnapped in different places but that has not killed the professions there. However, I believe it is a call to address the issue of general insecurity in the country.

I pray that God should provide a good referee for this game that Osuofia is into. I know he is having some difficulties since he was taken unawares for the game. Osuofia may only win this game if his supporters; AGN and the Government will wake up and support him.
Osuofia right now needs good strikers he dribbles and passes but no one to strike.

From what am seeing with the help of my periscope, Osuofia would have collapsed  suppose the 15m ransom was paid. I can hear him say stuffs like; " hey!!!! I cant belief this, are You a Mugu!,  how can you pay about $100000 to someone who wanted to carry my burden free of charge in the name of  game. Did I complain that am suffering there ehh? OK, I agree that you paid the money, which bank did you pay my money into, where is the deposit slip? No! mbanu! my money! ego mm!  Inshort EFCC must hear this.

I pray nothing happens to him, while I save some money to buy His new movie "They gave me Uniform"
Lol, Hey, you almost sounded like you write his scripts! Typical grin

You need to persuade your UK guy to make an appearance. If he holds you in high esteem, he'll show up for physical sighting. As soon as that happens, your mind will be made up!

Pray also concerning it. Good luck.

'Port Harcourt—The Rivers State government has earmarked eight local governments for the creation of Greater Port Harcourt City, which would commence from the 2009 budget and terminate in 50 years with a yearly input of N100 billion for its development.'

50 years huh? undecided
We'll see what subsequent administrations in Rivers State got to say about that! The country does not have a good history of continuity in government policies as regards infrastructural development.

The only area where Nigerian Governments practice continuity is - Corruption

Igwe.:
Does she work, who foots her bills ? like others have said, reexamine yourself and know where/how things went wrong in your life, if she had contributed or given an advice that yielded a negative result, you'd know and can place the blame on her else find yourself another job.

Lest i forget, what do you do for a living? There's time for everything, you know? it could be just that.
Wise words. Some posts on NL are written along the mindset of the authors, such that the direction he wishes to be advised is already apparent. It would have been helpful to know exactly what you do for a living and how your fortunes plunged. If you lost some business due to wrong planning, or if you lose your job on account of misconduct, it will be unfair to blame it on the coincidence of timing as per when you met your girl.

What exactly are the primary reasons for your dwindling fortune? And what have you done to work yourself out of the debacle? Every problem is not spiritual.

Sometimes, we need to get off our knees and get to WORK!!

The era of nationalist fervor and patriotism has gone, maybe for good. Most youth of today are disillisioned, others disinterested. History has also imposed a Who wan Die mentality in our psyche.  sad

Achebe of all people should know that They Have Put a Knife in The Thing that held Us Together & We have Fallen Apart!

Even the ethnic & religious squabbles here on NL is self evident of the lack of cohesion amongst the youths. embarassed cry

RomanceRe: Can You Marry Lady That Is Far Shorter Than You by Utaroz(m): 10:35pm On Oct 20, 2009
A lady of 5'4 cannot be classified as "too short". I believe love can override the negative feeling you may have on your woman's physical features. Your self confidence neuteralizes your feeliings of embarassment as well. Guys marry physically challenged ladies and vice versa and make a happyy life out of it.

However, if a tall lady is what it takes to hold your head high among peers, go for it. But it does sound like your reasons are based on how you want to be seen with your future wife, and not on your personal convictions. undecided

RomanceRe: Is It Strange That I Don't Want A Church Wedding? by Utaroz(m): 9:19pm On Oct 20, 2009
"Getting married in church does not equal a large crowd of well wishers and haters and all 'em road blocking head ties. You can still exchange vows before a priest and have your families around to witness."

The quote above (by Radiant) is radiating with wisdom grin . The way your topic was worded made it appear like you dislike consecrating your marriage in church. Meanwhile the post clarified your meaning (I hope, ) in which case, I'm all for the advice above. People could feel funny if you have something against the spiritual ceremony in particular cheesy wink
