Boboedom:The challenge here is similar to the game of Russian Roulette. One has only one chance of finding out whether it is potent or not. If it is potent and addressed "To Whom It May Concern", you may try removing it without any instant harm. But you could be found at Ojota bus stop hours later, picking used satchets of pure water on the street and making umbrella with strips of your clothing. It is also wise to acknowlege that there are powers beside science. The fact that you are a christian may not be enough to insulate you from dark powers if your christianity is compromised. Every promise in the bible carries a condition, so any attempt to deliberately "tread upon serpents and scorpions" will simply earn you a dose of venom. In situations like this, it is more advisable to invite a powerful man of God to neutralize and dispose of the rubbish. selingel:If one actor gets kidnapped along Enugu-P.Harcourt expressway, It is hardly enough reason to declare Enugu unsafe for actors/actresses. Doctors, bankers and other professionals are kidnapped in different places but that has not killed the professions there. However, I believe it is a call to address the issue of general insecurity in the country. |

'Port Harcourt—The Rivers State government has earmarked eight local governments for the creation of Greater Port Harcourt City, which would commence from the 2009 budget and terminate in 50 years with a yearly input of N100 billion for its development.' 50 years huh? We'll see what subsequent administrations in Rivers State got to say about that! The country does not have a good history of continuity in government policies as regards infrastructural development. Igwe.:Wise words. Some posts on NL are written along the mindset of the authors, such that the direction he wishes to be advised is already apparent. It would have been helpful to know exactly what you do for a living and how your fortunes plunged. If you lost some business due to wrong planning, or if you lose your job on account of misconduct, it will be unfair to blame it on the coincidence of timing as per when you met your girl. What exactly are the primary reasons for your dwindling fortune? And what have you done to work yourself out of the debacle? Every problem is not spiritual. Sometimes, we need to get off our knees and get to WORK!! |

The era of nationalist fervor and patriotism has gone, maybe for good. Most youth of today are disillisioned, others disinterested. History has also imposed a Who wan Die mentality in our psyche. Achebe of all people should know that They Have Put a Knife in The Thing that held Us Together & We have Fallen Apart! Even the ethnic & religious squabbles here on NL is self evident of the lack of cohesion amongst the youths. |

A lady of 5'4 cannot be classified as "too short". I believe love can override the negative feeling you may have on your woman's physical features. Your self confidence neuteralizes your feeliings of embarassment as well. Guys marry physically challenged ladies and vice versa and make a happyy life out of it. However, if a tall lady is what it takes to hold your head high among peers, go for it. But it does sound like your reasons are based on how you want to be seen with your future wife, and not on your personal convictions. |

They serve different purposes for me. FBk has helped me connect with friends and relatives across the globe. NL has given me a broader understanding on esoteric topics. If I must sacrifice one, I'll reluctantly bid farewell to the respected but anonymous congregation here at NL. |

The way your topic was worded made it appear like you dislike consecrating your marriage in church. Meanwhile the post clarified your meaning (I hope, ) in which case, I'm all for the advice above. Does anyone know how much these scholarship is worth in monetary terms to each beneficiary? I think the deed is worth extolling but somehow, vital figures were omitted in the report. |
