BusinessRe: N516bn Fresh Scams Uncovered In Three Banks by Utaroz(m): 3:01pm On Oct 14, 2009
It is becoming clearer that the tribal allegations heaped on Sanusi may not have merit after all. The depth of emerging facts is staggering. I hope they can put a permanent structure in place to prevent this level of decay in the financial sector in future.

Men, the power of greed should never be under-estimated! undecided
CelebritiesRe: Girls: Would You Sleep With A Star That You Love So Much If He's Alone With You? by Utaroz(m): 1:26am On Oct 14, 2009
Small wonder the question was directed to the girls! All our beloved gentlemen that graced us with their opinions had a predictable one track answer! cheesy

Left for the guys, the question should be re-phrased to: Which of the stars would you sleep with if you were alone?

Wahala dey! grin grin grin

If he acted against the law, he should be sued and made to face justice. Two wrongs dont make a right. Meanwhile, I'm sure his predicament may not be because he just they destroy pple house they aquire land give him wife, pikin and friends. My position is not borne out of sympathy, but a sincere condemnation on the illegality of denying someone his right of citizenship! sad
PoliticsRe: Must Read: Nasir El-rufai To Yar Adua, About His Refusal Of Nigeria Passport. by Utaroz(m): 1:26pm On Oct 13, 2009
otukpo:
El Rufai shld just shut up. What does he need the pass for again?
When he was invited to come and give account of his stewardship to the Nigerian pple, he decided to run away to UK. Let him remain there. Why is he complaining, Perhaps he wants to be sneaking in and out of the Country he so much abused his political office when he had the opportunity to serve.

Remember, whatever goes around,
You may have a point, but does the offence he was alleged to have committed warrant stripping him of his citizenship?
PoliticsRe: Must Read: Nasir El-rufai To Yar Adua, About His Refusal Of Nigeria Passport. by Utaroz(m): 1:23pm On Oct 13, 2009
Blimey! cheesy

Is it really possible for one to be so lacking in tact and wisdom? undecided And equally this easy to surround oneself with praise singing sycophants? It would have been so very simple and more effective to diffuse the strenght of his percieved enemies by leaving them alone than arming them with juvenile antics like denial of passports!  embarassed embarassed embarassed
PoliticsRe: ‘why Yar’adua Shunned Un General Assembly’ by Utaroz(m): 5:25pm On Oct 12, 2009
While the President is sulking for non-recognition in peace keeping efforts (among other percieved grievances), some Nigerian soldiers that came back from such missions, and agitated for their allowances have commenced serving their Life Prison Sentence!

I am persuaded to believe the comment was just a poor ruse to cover for the real reason behind Yar Adua's embarassing absence!
PoliticsRe: ‘why Yar’adua Shunned Un General Assembly’ by Utaroz(m): 1:40pm On Oct 12, 2009
I am surprised that comments like these will emanate from official quarters!  shocked If the president has a personal problem with Obama administration, he should pursue such on a personal level. It is not good to drag the country into some childish sulking fit and juvenile tantrums in the commity of nations because Yar Adua was chided by Obama and Hillary.  cheesy

Is he protesting for himself, or the PDP?  angry

He certainly should not be protesting in the name of the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

EducationRe: Strike: ASUU, FG Have Reached An Agreement! by Utaroz(m): 1:35pm On Oct 04, 2009
This is so upsetting! I wonder if it really requires some rocket science to get the education system right. Sad to see a nation where people jubilate because teachers and government have reached an agreement to re-open schools!

It's not like it's free or something. undecided

FamilyRe: How To End A Marriage In Nigeria by Utaroz(m): 4:09pm On Sep 30, 2009
@Poster: Seems like you wish to consider the best and worst case scenarios of the union before saying "I Do, " cheesy Talk about being proactive! grin

My advice is to simply marry a good person who you are presently compatible with, and stick it out. Life is too brutish & short in naija to consider compounding it with more than one marriage (for those that believe in one man-one wife) grin Becomes worse if the kids have already arrived!

The challenges of a second wife, with the kids of the first marriage, may prove more worrisome than the marital squabbles you may have had!

However, in extreme cases, one simply has to return the lady to her people and get a lawyer to sort out the legal details.

HealthRe: Police IG Asks Doctors To Treat Accident/Gunshot Victims First by Utaroz(m): 1:12pm On Sep 30, 2009
I am seriously getting concerned about the media attitude of the present IG. I have a lot of respect for Onovo and I believe he has had some raw deals before making the top cop position. Public expectations are also high on this guy percieved in some quarters as a man of honor. He is also the first South Eastern guy to attain the IG position since independence (?) and came on board the polity at an uneasy time.

However, he needs a serious training on media and public relations, or the services of a sound media relations adviser. He may mean well, but the signal he sends out hardly inspire confidence. His "Ribadu-Never-Entered-The-Country" statements and this offhand approval on Medical Treatment for gunshot victims could have been handled better.

On the latter issue, one would have expected a press conference, followed by a circular from his office, published in the national dailies, stating the police position on the topic clearly. A copy of such should be sent to the Nigerian Medical Association secretariat (and other relevant bodies), thus disseminating the information officially & effectively.

I cant imagine the trauma of being paraded with captured armed robbers simply for trying to save lives!  undecided
CelebritiesRe: Emeka Ike And The Prostitute! by Utaroz(m): 5:27pm On Sep 29, 2009
His business acumen is admirable. However, i find his drivel in movies (those I have had to see for a few minutes) sooo irritating. Very fake Romeo wannabe! I just wonder why he is not versatile as an actor. undecided Too predictable undecided

Always the same old fake lover-boy roles!

CelebritiesRe: Rita Dominic Paid Millions To Become Face Of Nokia Africa by Utaroz(m): 5:08pm On Sep 29, 2009
This sure seems to be the season of blessing and recognition for Nollywood stars! RMD appointed as a commisioner in Delta state, Okey Bakassi becomes a special adviser to Imo state governor, Genevieve gets listed on Oprah's world famous and now Rita earns $1m in a 6 month stunt!

Congrats to our fellow citizens  cool

I reckon Mr. Ibu will be up next for international recognition eh?  grin  cheesy grin
CelebritiesRe: Genevieve Nnaji On Oprah by Utaroz(m): 2:21pm On Sep 29, 2009
This is refreshing news for a country that takes a medal for always being in the news for wrong reasons.  grin Its a pity we are almost reducing it to a tribal victory here, undecided
BusinessRe: I Will Transform Anambra Into Dubai - Soludo by Utaroz(m): 2:18pm On Sep 28, 2009
Wow, the guy is already up to speed in political jigoes! Well, it's okay to dream realistically, without risking a direct insult to people's intellect. Dubai was not built by a genie from some lamp. I'd advise Charlie to tone down the rhetorics and attempt an approach with a style alien to Nigerian politics - TRUTH.

The more he echoes utopian promises, the less convincing he sounds. I do believe he has the political will to impact positively in the fortunes of the belaguered state.
PoliticsRe: I Like How Nigeria Is Being Run - Ibori by Utaroz(m): 2:00pm On Sep 28, 2009
blacksta:
“I will back Yar’Adua’s administration if he wants to run and if PDP nominates him in 2011. People don’t know him, he does not speak to the press. That’s not his style. Yar’Adua met things that needed to be re-ordered. Obasanjo did his best. The rule of law and due proces are being bogged down by bureaucracy. http://www.tribune.com.ng/27092009/news/news4.html
Alas! Therein lie the challenge of my beloved country  cry Is it too much to expect a president people know, and trust to do things right? I am fairly certain Chief Ibori will not be comfortable with such a president!

Am very grateful for all your advice and having gone through your responses, I want to believe that the general consensus is that a picanto will not be able to withstand the rigours involved in such a journey. Am grateful and I think i will be a little bit more patient and try go get a car with a bigger engine as i prefer driving by road myself except am flying.

Naija Babe!, which one be your own. A thief is a thief, but one must not join any multitude (except they are following Christ). Even if the man is a thief, he still has some things which one will remember him for.

Search your life, are you better than Ibori?. If we know your own deficiency, wont we shout and castigate you like Ibori?. If  i notice some good aspect of you, just like Ibori, I will do same.

If you have never committed any sin before, Naijababe, cast the first stone!. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
If I'm not mistaken here, your point is; Those who steal public funds and invest such locally thus providing jobs for people should be commended  huh  As much as you are entitled to your opinion, it's a good thing for this country, that you are not with the multitude on this issue  wink
