I used to think his 'common sense revolution' on radio was from a neutral point of view, but after listening for a while I have come to understand that he is not genuine.
Some of his criticism of the APC government and the president could be relayed directly to the president or proposed as a bill at the senate.
He is clamoring for the use of made in Nigeria products which is a very good one, he has even gone to buy some made in a Aba shoes, this now means that him and his fellow senators should also clamor for a slash is salary and allowance, after all the made in Nigeria products are cheaper, so using that to calculate their wardrobe allowance and other things, it only makes sense for a slash. |

SirShymexx: Laughable.
Igbo people and pulling out ridiculous numbers from their arses to fool the gullible folks. Do you think Europe is a dumping ground for Agricultural produce?
And for cash crops, what cash crops do they produce in Igboland that's even worth $1 billion? Where's the land that's not even enough for the population explosion and gully erosion fighting side by side to control Igboland?
They need to keep an eye on these folks before they start exporting all kinds of class A drugs via whatever obscure courier company ABX is. These Igbo folks aren't serious, I tell ya. Silly comment. Very childish. |

VampireeM: am not saying Mr President shouldnt fight corruption but I noticed Since he came into power and claimed he is fighting Corruption am yet to hear where an APC member or Chieftain esp those ones that were in PDP has been arrested by EFCC or Probed even with petitions written against them.
PMB's anti corruption war is more of a witch hunt! If truly he wants to fight corruption, he has to start from the root and not the branch...
Since the inception of this govt, everyday arresting and probing with no meaningful results. Touring round the continent like he is "Gulliver the Traveller" and some Zombie Nigerians are telling me its for our own good... Govt with no blue print on how to run the country and economy looking for whom to blame for their incompetence. We are in 2016 and the budget is yet to be approved? Are we moving backward or Forward?
At least there is corruption fight. When PDP regains power, if they do. They can fight past APC corrupt leaders and at the end of the day Nigeria will be the beneficiary. |
Politics › Re: Sule Lamido Mocks Buhari’s War On Corruption by Utchman1: 10:26am On Feb 11, 2016 |
According to him: “Democracy should be able to address our problems, unite us and not to put fear in the land, compelling people to be pretending to be what they are not because they don’t want to be imprisoned.” Earlier, the secretary of Global Watch, Yahaya Idris, said they were in former governor Lamido’s office to seek his fatherly blessing in their effort at promoting democracy and unity among the Nigerian youth.
If people need to pretend and do not loot our resources, that is fine. So there is no problem with instilling fear in office holders. |

The regions that voted him should not complain. Let them leave wailing for the two regions that saw the scam from afar.

ellabooz: The storm is gathering and with time the centre can no longer hold. Just a strike, Nigeria has lost close to a billion dollars and so some dullards will be like , "Niger delta militants are no threat to this country ,I will destroy them in weeks" Be ready to bring our economy to that of Zimbabwe in days.
If you think that parasitic NE is equivalent to our economy hub, rethink. If half of what happened in NE should occur in SS, we are doomed for real.
This is no time to threaten any region, we have had enough blood shed in this country. Deplomacy always win over brutal force. It behoves me the way people reason. So the Federal government should now dance to the tune of militants? Well I thank God we have a leader who reasons differently. It is better the militants bomb everywhere than for the FG to bow down to their threat. I blame the amnesty granted by Yaradua in the first place. If not things like this would have been a long forgotten issue. My solution is to chase the militants till they give up. Even if the economy crumbles. It will only be for a while with guaranteed forestalling of things like this in the future. |

Politics › Re: Fayose Cautions Buhari Over Probe Of Military Chiefs, Says $2.1bn Arms Deal Is A by Utchman1: 10:17pm On Jan 16, 2016 |
ejiinii: Let be objective in our minds and not subjective, there are military procedures for deal with erring officers not civilian court. IS DASUKIGATE REAL?? Well much as I believe that any person who participated in the pillaging of this country should be punished severely, however let's take time to do this little math on the much hyped Dasukigate. Now from the government sources, a total of $2.1 billion was alleged to have been stolen through Dasuki.
This translated to about N450 billion at the material time. From government sources now and from the figures available, if you do a total summation of the whole amount of money Dasuki was said or alleged to have "shared", it is in the neighbourhood of N10 billion or less than that. Now the amount said to have been recovered from that is so far less than N1 billion.
This is against about N450 billion ($2.1 billion) said to have been allocated to Dasuki for the war against boko haram. So we are still left with a balance of over N400 billion. What about the huge left over, if it exists? ? Now was this N450 billion ($2.1) said to have been given to Dasuki contained in a single budget?
How much was the Jonathan budget for the period in question and how much was the defence budget? Meanwhile has anybody ever heard from the man Dasuki himself? I think it is now easy to see why the government does not want to charge him to court or is so reluctant to do so. Interestingly, some of those people who were involved said Dasuki never gave them any money. It is so unfortunate that all that this government has to show for this much hyped war against corruption so far is just the less than N1 billion so far said to have been recovered from the alleged Dasuki accomplices
.Now can you remember how much Obasanjo' s government (as corrupt as it was) recovered from the Abacha loot as well as even former governors like Chimaroke Nnamani et al? This is why i had earlier described the so called Dasukigate as a storm in the tea-cup Government has never said that the whole $2.1 billion was embezzled, rather part of it. And also I believe you were in this country when legislators approved $1 billion for the Book Haram fight. You are also aware that about $400 million of Abacha returned loot was transferred to Dasuki. That makes it $1.4 bilion. So add the one in the budget and we should be there. |
