Enoch07:If you enter Tokyo, you go come back? |
Coronavirus84:Shey the other day, robbers entered army barracks in ojo, Lagos and robbed from army. |
SonyaSpence:I asked in an online forum if flooded vehicles can be repaired. All the Oyibos there said, "no try am. Na condemn". |
Sleekfingers:I studied and worked overseas for just a short while. I really wanted to leave Nigeria for good. But since I didn't have any proper legal means to remain abroad, I had to return here.. Wife and I did all the mathematics to calculate which part of Nigeria to go to. And we came to lekki because family is here and connection for work. Na so E be O. |
cliqtips:Here's a plan Drive people away from Lagos to other states and let the water find its level instead of fighting with it and wasting money. Those people outside Lagos, go there and setup another set of industries and commerce so they earn their money there and stay there instead of always coming to Lagos . Can you do that for us? |
CocoaOla:You can NEVER get Dubai citizenship. They do not give anybody. So continue bragging with another man's country. |
samonak:I think we have suffered enough in the hands of the international market. They can go to hell Are we not disadvantaged enough again in this Nigeria? Our strategy now should be like Innoson motors. Local fabrication of some parts, import other parts from anywhere, join-join everything together as OUR OWN standard and get ourselves brand new "anything" aeroplane. And employ more of our youth in the process. We have shot ourselves in the foot by longing so much for foreign goods. Those guys don't care that all our youth are jobless due to excessive importation of their foreign goods. I'm with them on Quora.com everyday. They are always complaining about Nigerian scammers scamming them. What do you want the Nigerian boys to do? No light., No job no nothing. Just imported goods everywhere in the country and no industry to engage ones time or energy. |
lessonotes:The first crime of modern generation is software piracy. Using American made software for free here in Nigeria, be it MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD... These are like the cheapst. They cost in the range from $200 to $1000. You are expected to pay $200 for one DVD, to install the software one just ONE PC. So if your office has 4, 5, 10 computers, you should pay $200 x 5 =$1000 for MS word/Excel. Nigerian Economy is import dependent. That is why we don't have N1 = $1. and our money is of less value. $1 roughly N500. We that are already suffering and struggling should still carry N500,000 and give American people again because we want to use MSWord? Swear now, that you have not patronised pirated software on your PC, in your office or in a business centre. Those who are going into science and Engineering, who don't even have jobs to see, are supposed to pay $2000 - $5000 for various scientific and engineering software to do their work FOR JUST ONE PC? How much does a Nigerian company even make? Are they not all even closing down because of no money? Then we should still carry our last remaining money and give American people again to use their softwares? Sorry, It cannot work.. |
samonak:Na wa O. So our money no even reach for original plane. The Alpha jet even looks so much smaller than harrier jet. |
Meritocracy:This generation has to stand firm and make changes O. The western world has made sure that we always buy their products. They keep producing things in their factories and pumping out to the world. We just sit down and buy. Then born 27 pikins who have no work. Instead of us to build our own industries, create things, produce, EMPLOY our own youth, and pump out to the rest of the world, we folded our hands and allowed all kinds of imported stuff to block our stomach. Now, no movement. No work, just PLENTY-PLENTY people running up and down everyday trying to survive by piracy, kidnapping, stealing. Where are the jobs na? Nigeria has 33% unemployment rate. ie. NO work AT-ALL-AT-ALL people. Among the remaining 67% that have work, maybe only 10% are comfortable. The rest are doing runs because the salary no reach them. South Africa has 43% unemployment rate. No work. Nothing. Na im make, them just vex and burn their whole country down. Oyibo cannot be doing us 419 everywhere. Only their products is good to sell to the world. Our own products is not good to export and sell to the world. You be measuring our products as sub-standard, because it does not meet international levels? International standard that was set by YOU that have 24/7 Nepa? We that are hustling up and down to buy fuel for generator, you didn't consider that one? You just say our product is substandard. Let me slap one white person this evening. Nonsense. |
Used to have a toy of this jet as a kid. it's a Harrier jet. We put 2 "B" Batteries inside and it would craw about the place shining red light. It had a plastic foot under to raise and lower the plane. Nigeria still using this old plane. It's not very fast by modern standards as the Engine is small. It is capable of vertical take off and landing. The engine has to be small so it can accommodate the exhaust thrusters twisting mechanism that enables the vertical take off and landing. Hence the plane is slow due to the small engine.

stupidmod3:I think in these years, all of us are poor. Because we can't afford what our parents could in the past. And they earned their own without stress. Not all this our up and down hustling 24/7 |
grossintel:My dad bought a brand new Peugeot 504 in 1977 for N5,000. (Five thousand Naira). I don't know what he earned then. But lets say he managed to save small-small till he bought it and paid complete, once. So let's say he earned N800 (eight hundred) per month. So he lived well on N800 per month in 1977. And in 2021, the correct standard car to buy will be Brand new Toyota Corolla (since Peugeot 504 is no longer in production) And you are saying N300,000 per month in 2021. Draw the graph and join the line. The N300,000 would be useless by December 2021. |
babyfaceafrica:Only you have spoken correctly in this thread. =----- Marriage is "till death do us part". One has NO BUSINESS with another man's wife TILL that man is DEAD. The husband is NOT DEAD. LEAVE his wife for him. Whether he is lazy or not, is not your business. |
HenryDion:I think we should just stop comparing ourselves with foreign writers and stop shaking your head. Foreign common man can quietly sit down in a train, write a book. He can do deeper research and come out with a unique story. .. I said common man, not rich man. Ordinary salary man. Common..... One can sit down in any park and write, research, read. You don't pay money for anything and no begger will come and be worrying you or steal your stuff. There's no noise on the train, or park, no agbero disturbing, no prayer warrior shouting and disturbing everybody. You cannot expect same level of output from Nigerian writers who are totally disturbed 24/7 with all kinds of noises. Nigerian writers are just managing to put something down despite all the disadvantages. So don't blame them.

BigCabal:We got here by importing all kinds of things without manufacturing anything. China chose to manufacture instead of importing. |
Yankee101:I shall pass it on to Oyibo people.. They have been looking for how to report Yahoo boys scamming their lives since. |
Fahdiga:So this one you are living now, you chose your colour? |
NaijaCuzin:Pray for this new generation. They already have too much and cannot see future again.. In our time, we only had 5 channels non TV. We never knew of cable or satellite TV, no video CD, DVD, or Blue Ray player. America was a far place we only heard about and saw a few pictures when NEPA gave is light to watch the right film at the right time on TV. Today's generation just be behaving anyhow as they don't have ambition again. Once they buy phone, that's the end! Their head will turn upsidedown and they be forming and dancing everywhere. This guy dance and formed to his death. |
ignis:Ok, let's see your account balance so we can calculate what you gained this year. |
ignis:And what do you gain by this statement? ![]() |
Idamond:When people be rushing to school like flies following sh1t up and down. As people don't have business ideas or entrepreneurship mind, you enter school for slaving and receive anyhow disrespect from lectures. |
Shey you guys want jobs, that's why you attend polytechnic? Consider this as stage 1 punishment . Stage 2 is waiting for you after graduation. |
Pierocash:So you know, and Nigerians will still be travelling there. |
DubaiLandLord:Are they the ones that ply highways by themselves? Is it not you and other commuters that resort to using Okadas to ply highways because the traffic jam on the roads is too much? |
Domistic:Was done in the 1920's https://littlethings.com/lifestyle/prohibition-cow-shoes
|
sarrki:This is an old idea. Westerners used it during WWII to aid with spying. |
Stephen2324:The person is tired of calculating mathematics of how to behave in your presence every time. So give chance let them normalise their thinking and decide if they want to continue with you or not. The person actually has a big headache any time they are in your presence and wants you out for a while so they can see how to treat the headache.. |
Albertone:That's how we like to lie in this Nigeria. You will follow somebody to cry and lament, not knowing, the person has millions in the bank. Tomorrow, he will tell you , "bye-bye" and leave you behind in Nigeria. |
Prechboy:Thanks for the early morning insult (Old man). Continue the rest of your day insulting till it comes back to you. |
Prechboy:We count using the British method. American method is to count everything, starting with 1 as ground floor https://hinative.com/en-US/questions/9936605#:~:text=The%20Americans%20and%20the%20British%20both%20say%20%22ground,you%20mean%20like%20the%20floors%20in%20a%20building%3F . As for me, English is the native language of English people in UK. So I will speak English according to their rules. Choose your way and don't create confusion for the construction industry. |
ChizzyBuna:Marry the coursemate by mistake!!!!! People that can't keep prick in one place! |
