A speck of dust in a mega construction site, is meaningless to the construction and the larger plan at work. Yet the dust particle itself might contain alot of microbial life. Within itself it derives meaning, in the grand scheme of things its is meaningless.

The earth is also a speck of dust floating in the chaos of space, to the universe at large it is meaningless, but within we have meaning because we have each other, we have art, politics, entertainment, purpose, we give each other meaning.

I think the nihilist problem only arises when humans try to be important to the grand scheme of the universe.

Like a microbe on the speck of dust trying to alter the construction.

If humanity were to go extinct now, to humans it would be bad, to the earth and the millions of other animals on it, it would be a good thing.

The dinosaurs went extinct and it was a bad thing for them but their extinction gave humans a chance to evolve so it is a good thing for us.

If the earth were to explode, it would be bad for all the lifeforms on earth, but to the galaxy, it would be meaningless.

So you see, bad and good, is just a matter of perspective.
Pitiless indifference is the nature of our universe.

I will be as blunt as i can in addressing these ignorant notions some Nigerian ladies have towards marriage.

1.Being too careful about her choice of man:

OK I understand you are the type that is so scared of venturing into marriage so you want to be very careful in choosing that man you will likely spend your life with..but I'm sorry to be the carrier of BAD NEWS..."No matter how careful you may be,every marriage is filled with uncertainties...even if you marry an angel,he could turn to a demon so just take the risk and be ready to confront any uncertainty you find else you may remain scared and single for a very long time.
Infact the more careful you are the greater the possibility of making a mistake.

2.I want a man who will love me for real:

I'm very vast in English language but when it comes to this sentence,the more I try to understand the more confused I get..."love you for real" like seriously!

You better get this fact now,if loving you for real means loving you with your imperfections then i might agree to an extent else...NO MAN CAN LOVE YOU FOR REAL except that real is substituted for many things like love you for your curves,intelligence,manners.....so stop using this ackward sentence and try to develop something a man can desire you for...no man wants a woman for nothing.

3.Wanting a made guy or financially OK guy:

I honestly have nothing against this except the fact that being financially OK is relative and we don't ever get to know the definition of "being financially ok"

But then I kinda wonder why ladies fail to understand that most guys in their late 20s and early 30s are still trying to find their feet which means a lady who wants a made guy is inadventedly saying she wants a married man or sugar daddy because most made men in Nigeria are in their mid or late 30s and in their 40s and would have been married.

However,the few younger ones who are made can not have more than one wife.

Ladies should try to be financially independent so that they can be disciplined enough to start a life with a guy rather than struggling with several ladies to be with a "made" guy or ending up as a side chic of a made guy.

4.I can not suffer with a man because he could dump me latter:

This is one of the dumbest notion many Naija ladies have and anytime I hear a lady says this I just give her that stupid look of a looser.

Are you doing any guy a favor by dating him when he is broke? For Petes sake you have every right to walk away from any affair if you dim fit and staying with a struggling guy is your choice and not a favor. ..if he latter becomes rich and he dumps you,just walk away rather than use those words to blackmail him.

5.My wedding will be the talk of the town:

I totally agree that a grand wedding is the dream of most ladies and I also share in this dream but the question is this; "Is it a do or die to have a grand wedding"?
What is wrong in having an intro and registry wedding and latter plan for the grand one when the funds are there?

Don't be deceived. ..8 out of 10 grand weddings in Nigeria are sponsored.

I think this is one area many ladies are destroying their lives because a guy will do you like a wife and enjoy all the wify benefit while telling you he is not ready for a grand wedding and you will continue to foolishly play along until he dumps your overused ass for a younger lady when he is finally ready...biko receive sense.

6.GOD has not confirmed him or my Pastor said he is not the one:

Like seriously! OK get this straight. ..it is good to listen to the word of GOD or to follow your pastor's advice but hello! when it comes to choosing a spouse GOD has clearly made it our duty to look for a spouse and he will gladly give us his favor ...Proverbs 18:22:
"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD".

The best you can do is to pray to God that a good guy finds you and when next a prophet or pastor tells you a certain guy is not for you...simply ask him with humility to tell you who your man is..his name,house address,complexion....

7.I can't marry a man I have no feelings for:

Your feeling is very important when choosing a man but pray he also has feelings for you else you will end up in tears no matter how deep your feelings for him is.

This is a hard nut for many ladies but the sincere fact is that your feelings is not as important as the guy's feeling towards you.

Getting married to a man may be hinged on your feelings but staying married to him is primarily dependent on how he feels towards you.


8.Marriage is a beautiful and wonderful institution:

I'm so sorry to tell you another bad news...."marriage is very turbulent and you will feel like running out"

At the intial stage it will seem like its so beautiful and made in heaven but that is the initial gragra stage. But when the reality stage sets in you will come to know the true picture of marriage but the good news is that you can make yours always beautiful if you can learn to tolerate, forgive,forgive and forgive because only two forgivers can make a beautiful marriage.

9.If my husband truly loves me,he will never cheat on me:

I know this issue is over-flogged and many ladies will never agree to this fact..."YOUR HUSBAND CAN HAVE EYES FOR ONLY YOU AND IN FACT COMMIT SUICIDE IF YOU LEAVE HIM YET CAN STILL CHEAT ON YOU"...sounds stupid I guess but that is just the truth..

Just warn your husband that if he must do let him go far far away from you and must use protection...I always say...only a foolish lady will hinge her marital happiness on her husband's sexual faithfulness to her.

I'm not supporting philandering but this is just how the cookie crumbles.

10.I want a tall cute rich romantic sexy....

Habba sister just negodu there...only you one...please there is a difference between real life and Telemundo. .you can not have all you want in one man and if you think you have then kudos to you. Many ladies cheat on their hubbies or fiance because they can't help comparing...

Tade is good in bed but not rich enough...Richard spoils me with money but very boring in bed and Seun is so caring but.... so you run to Richard to get money,you remember Tade when you feel like having a good time and Seun comes to mind if you want to feel loved..YOU ARE A SORRY CASE.

Just go for a man that has the average qualities and settle down...no man has it all.

As long as a lady is ready to face these facts then she will definitely have no problem in her marriage but if you find yourself totally uncomfortable with one or more of the points listed above, i will advice you remain single until you are mature enough to accept them.

Naturally, humans are insatiable, when we have the best we still wish to have another best and on like that.

Little wonder there are more broken home this days due to cheating either by the man or the woman despite the increase in relationship counselors like many people will say.

This is not particular to a certain gender anymore like we use to have the male cheating most times in those days, women are now proving to men they can do better.

The funny thing is that those that are cheating are the ones always on the trail of their partner just because they themselves are not clean.

They love their own partner to be reserved while they perform all sorts of miracles in bed with someone else's partner and will then come back home like saint.

They know all the moves as they are deep in the act, yet, they don't want their partner to be tasted by someone else.

If your partner shouldn't enjoy or be enjoyed why not just leave other people's partner alone?

I know no matter how hard we preach some people will never listen as cheating is innate to them.

Even when they are not looked for they themselves will turn on the Searchlight as they are never satisfied with anything and neither can they endure with the little they have, they want everything in their partner forgetting no Mr or Mrs right.

You cannot swallow your cake and still have it back as cake but waste.

Learn to be loyal to your partner, you signed for better for worse, so, you don't need to enjoy the for better together and make him/her feel the pains of the worst alone.

Even if you are cheating on your partner and your partner knows or otherwise and still loyal against all odds as he/she has accepted his/her fate, what will punish you will forever hunt you till you bite your fingers in regret.

No Mr/Mrs right, this is why marriage is for two imperfect beings coming together to submit their ego in order to make themselves perfect for just each other.

Leave other people's partner and make your home the perfect abode

Most theist proof for gods existence rely on premises which are not necessarily correct, to force out logical consistency as a means so substantiate your beliefs. To you they are 'common sense' arguments
used to introduce god into the picture due to lack of incomplete human understanding. 5. Battery:

6. Tyres:

Check all tyres to ensure your vehicle remains legal and stable whilst driving.

7. Lights:

It is a legal requirement to have working external lighting on your vehicle, so have an all-round check to see if they’re all working. Activate the hazards for an easier method of checking indicators.

Other items that can be taken along includes: Water and Food, First Aid Kit, Torch / Flash Light etc.

Over the centuries past, Numerous Agnostic and even some atheist professors who have thoroughly studied the entire bible have on many occasions, come to that conclusion, even despite admitting they dont believe it. Although many came to later believe after a complete study of it.

I would like to first define what a contradiction is according to the Oxford English dictionary;

A combination of statements, ideas, or features which are opposed to one another:


A good example will be thus:
"John went to school "

To contradict or oppose this statement,
I will have to say;
"John never went to school"

In the light of the aforementioned definition;
"John went to market"
would not even by any means, be a contradiction to
"John went to school"

Why? You may ask.
The answer is simple;

John may have gone to both school and the market, but at different times.


Both statements can be correct, and so will not be qualified to be regarded as opposed to each other. Hence not contradicting nor inconsistent with each other.

Another example would be:
1. "John met a girl called Mary at school"
2. "John met many girls at school"

These two statements coming from 2 different authors can be correct.

How?
The answer is simple;

John could have met Mary at 8am and subsequently met Patricia, Rose, Bolanle and Rukky at 9am, 10am, 11am and12noon respectively.

So it would obviously have been foolish to call both statements contradictions of each other, or to say both statements are not consistent with each other.

It would have been a different scenario if the original statement was;

"John met only Mary at school"

In this case,
"John met many girls at school"
would be a contradiction.

The word "only" would clearly be the changing factor.

And Still on this example, It will even be more foolish to ask,
"how many girls were at John's school?"

Why is it foolish to ask so?
The answer is easy too.

The subject of the statements was not the total population of girls at John's school.
The subject was rather based on the fact that John met girl/girls at school.

A last example would be;

"John said we could come"
and
"They said we could come"

These 2 statements coming from 2 different authors are not by any means contradictions, neither are they inconsistent, as there are numerous possible ways both could happen and still be true as follows;

1. John could be the spokesman of "they"

OR

2. John and "they" could have said so at different times.

OR

3. John and "they" could have also said so at the same
time in unison

4. And so on and so forth

The only way I could have contradicted

"John said we could come"
Is to have said
"John never said we could come"..


Thats that for buttressing the explanation of what contradictions are.

Coming Back to the bible and the issue of young internet users who claim to be atheists today, its quite unfortunate that many seem to throw around the word "contradiction" all in an attempt to discredit the bible for their personal fleshly gain.
They usually use the internet for this by posting falsely titled articles that make them appear like well researched bible skeptic sholars.

The Parts of the bible where they usually do this, are where different authors give accounts of the same biography or events.
For example, the gospels, 1st and 2nd Kings, Chronicles, Samuel etc.

I will, for the sake of this article, pick one from the popular ones they throw around.

Luke 24:4-5
And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5. And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

AND

Mark 16:5-6
 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.
6.And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

Firstly, Take note, Luke says what happened
"as they were perplexed"

Mark says what happened
"as they entered"

As we can see, Two different points in time
Just take note.

Secondly, also take note
The subject topic of both scriptures is NOT the total population count of men or angel messengers that were inside the tomb.
As a matter of fact, if you observe, carefully, none of those two parts of scriptures mentions the total number of angels that were at the tomb.

The subject of both scriptures was what transpired at different points in time while the women entered and also while they were within the tomb.
Just take note.


But guess what

These two portions of the bible are boldly and wrongly pointed as contradictions to each other on an anti-christian bible quiz  website that was featured on one article written by Seun above

To tell you the extent of their insincerity and utter dishonesty,
They did it by asking the question

" How many men were in Jesus' tomb when the women arrived?"

A careful look at this question would show you that the subject of this question is based on the total population count seen by the women on arrival.
Hence the phrase "How many men"

Moreso, the quiz question also specified subject time; "on arrival"

However and contrarily, none of those bible verses highlighted above had the subject of total population counts.

And also, Mark was the only one who decribed in detail what happened as "they entered" which is synonymous with "on arrival"


They intentionally used a question with a different subject and subject time to arrive at the conclusion that both portions of the bible contradicted each other.

When in actual truth, their question (based on "arrival" was generated from a momentary description from Mark.

They devilishly picked another momentary description for another point in time, from Luke and arrived at the false claim of "contradiction".

Just As illustrated in our earlier example,

"John met a girl at school"
Vs.
"John met many girls at school"

Also, For clarity sake, no portion of the bible talks about the total number of angels that were at the tomb.

Unfortunately, This is not the only portion of the bible they have dishonestly represented as contradiction before.
They have done so on many other verses, as I said before.

For example, the bible never mentioned the number of wise men who came to present gifts to baby Jesus.
But what we find commonly today even among Christians is "three wise men".
This is Wrong!

Another example; the bible never mentions the age of the earth despite the fact that many people go around saying the bible says the earth is 6000 years old

Thank God for bible explanation websites today that can easily be found using search engines like google.
As a result, These verses can now easily be researched.

Such websites are free for everyone to use.

And most importantly, thank God for the Holy Spirit Who reveals these things to us.

Whenever a sincere truth-seeking person is in doubts, he should pray for understanding and the Holy Ghost would open his eyes to understand God's word.

You could also search bible verse explanations on google and youtube.
There are many other free resources online.
Bible explanation is not meant for only theologians and seminarians.

It is sad that many of these young folks who have not read the bible completely before, fall for this "bible contradiction" gimmick and begin to call themselves atheists.
When u Ask them "why?" they would scream "bible contradiction".

The "bible contradiction" gimmick is a plot by the devil directed towards young people of today, to discourage them from approaching what he fears the most, which is the Sword of the Word of God.


He makes them to Forget what the term "contradiction" means in the first place. Giving them a false sense of protection for their sins.
As a result, they never get to ask God for forgiveness.

The devil also makes them forget the fact that being skeptic doesnt necessarily make you an atheist.


My prayer is that, may the Lord Open their eyes to the truth and deliver them from this grand deception.
