I must say this year has been better and much brighter compared to the previous year. But one thing i have been worried about is my saving culture or is it that what i earn isn't high/sufficient enough to cater for bills like transportation, feeding, housing, electricity and other miscellaneous bills.

My salary is a little above 50k and before you know it, by the 3rd week of the month, everything would have finished. I cant say i am spending lavishly on anything because i an introvet. I hardly get to save anything at the end of the month and it pains me alot. I wonder if i am the only one facing this experience or there are other people earning lower or higher facing this.

Sorry, I renewed my EID. Its not a fresh application. Renewal was initiated and processed by my company. I only submitted my passport data page and went for medical test. Blood test only. Renewal Process took few days to complete.

Yes, I have finally received my Emirates ID. The new format with chips that serves also as residence permit.
It's a two year residence visa and issued from Abu Dhabi Emirates.
There's nothing like embargo on Nigerians residence visa. If took less than 3 weeks to process it.

Please carry your legal drugs and whatever medication you are using or need as far as they are not illegal drugs. Put them in your check in luggage. No one disturbs you unless it's of large quantity for commercial purposes.
As for oil, you can use small 2 or 3 few plastic containers of 750ml bottles to package your oil and put in check in luggage. Its usually problem in local airports or if you "jons" while entering the airport.

I already know this, but the letter complained of employees using their company to get visa and then abscond. I've sent them a mail insisting they provide the visa. I'm not desperate.

Which oil company in UAE will ask their new employees to get visa by themselves? They will even send you flight tickets with accommodation and at least entry visa for a start. Once all documents are signed, they will process work permit with all tax related documents with MOL. I smear red flag.

Current salary is about 512k per month (take home), and has an annual increment of 15% of your take home. This is aside perks of perdiem anytime I travel outside work base (15k per night).

Anytime he wants me to have minor something done in NG on his bahalf, he expects me to use my money and whenever I ask, he tells me not to complain that I am rich (he knows what I earn), I don't have a problem doing those things for him.

I don't see myself rich and pls guys, what can someone earn in Nigeria to be termed rich. Your opinions will count alot as I still find it hard getting the usual daily stuffs we all use.

If you are double vaccinated with vaccination certificate. No need of PCR test. I returned from Nigeria some weeks ago.

Plz don't come to Dubai if you think you will get a Job,there are no jobs available, don't let any agent deceive you ,alot of Nigerians are stranded just because of the agents that deceived them,and it is even worse when you tell companies you are Nigerian,I just feel like sharing this,so that you won't waste your money on what is not worth it,especially when you have something bringing you money in Nigeria

There are jobs in Dubai for people with skills and expertise in Engineering, IT, Education and Health sectors. But the Nigeria factor is a problem due to bad image and crimes attributed to some Nigerians in Dubai. Other nationalities do not find it difficult getting a job because most private company jobs are for foreigners. If you have experience in Oil sector, there are opportunities in UAE. But carry out research before relocation because most agents are out to swindle people and lead them into slavery.

Well, I was in Dubai last month, a fully vaccinated taveller requires negative covid test 48hrs max before boarding. On your return trip to Ngr however, you are not required to do any test since April 4th.

He was asking of what is obtainable now. Not last month. Fully vaccinated traveller doesn't need Covid-19 test before departure to Dubai. Pls check the website of airline you used for update on recent requirements.

Fully vaccinated individual doesn't need PCR test . All you need is presentation of your vaccination certificate at point of departure. Thats the norm now for those travelling to Dubai and also returning to Nigeria. You can as well check Emirates website for confirmation. Its boldly written on their page.

Kuwait is a wealthy nation with the strongest currency globally though not cosmopolitan like Dubai. You can get a job through connections and visas are usually processed by company.

People with experience should try search for jobs in O&G industries. There are not much discrimination against Nigeria in that sector. You can even get genuine offer with visa while still in Nigeria.

A serving minister or commissioner ie political appointees are not allowed to contest election while still serving. He has to resign before participating in party primary elections. Malami and Amaechi and other ministers want to contest governorship and presidential primary elections without resignation from their present positions. Do they are desperate to delete the contentious section in order to use govt influence to sway the electorate in their favours.....

If he is vaccinated, there's no cause for alarm. He should take paracetamol for body aches, eat fruits and run another test within next 7 to 10 days. I believe he will be fine to return negative. From personal experience though.

210k cannot feed family of three in a month in Nigeria. You can keep the job and forget Canada but don't hesitate to pass the offer over here. On a more serious note, 210k isn't upto $400. That's not even upto a cleaners salary in Canada. But don't resign from your job until you arrive in Canada. There are dubious, scam job offers all over the place. Follow up with Canada visa and ensure its legitimate because 210k job can't be compared with Canada visa process that cost more than N10M to secure legitimately.

Nigeria corrupt government collecting 50k for Covid-19 test that they will not carry out are the worst culprits. Those boys are only beating their corrupt papas in their corrupt game. Those boys once saved someone i know at Dubai Airport when Emirates refused to allow him to board over unpaid 50k Covid-19 test. Test that Nigeria govt won't do.
