bro, nobody is trying to condemn your fact or what your job entails, salary and all sort, rather concerned about you because so many fraudulent activities has been going on here in uae to the extent that some companies set everything up and it looks real that you won’t even notice they are about to scam. The reason why we think it is fishy is because, here in uae, they value expats from European countries, America than our continent and to even say from Nigeria, they will prefer someone that is available within the country and have many years of experience here. You might be lucky to got this job but we re just stating our reasons why we think it might be fishy. Once again, I wish you success on your new job.
Multi national companies in UAE don't discriminate against Nigerians. If you have the expertise they need, they will come for you. Junior Engineers in my company earn more than $6000 monthly. There is nothing fishy or bogus about the 23K AED salary. It just that most Nigerians here are yet to break into the mainstream professional cadre. When I got my offer I rejected it thinking that it was fake. For five months, the company was calling me from UAE to join before I finally agreed.

did they request for medical from u at the embassy
Yes. Two years Work visa requires medical report but not needed for tourist visa. The medical test is done in Garki Hospital and one Turkish hospital.
Test in Garki Hospital is 37k but takes longer time to get report. In Turkish hospital you can get the report same day but higher amount.I spent three days in hotel waiting for test report from Garki Hospital. The money spent waiting for result should be enough to add up to 37k and get the report same day at Turkish hospital. I only got to know about the Turkish hospital after my test.

Seriously one thing I wouldn't like is wasting funds I don't have to travel to Abuja and they will not allow me book at the embassy.

Please I need suggestions from people that have experienced this booking of biometric or have done theirs.

Trying the embassy (asking because no one is sure if they allow booking at the embassy)will it be the best option or I should chill and keep call the number till thy kingdom come.
I was in Abuja last week, So many people turned back and given appointment dates in july at the embassy. Some guys were able to carry out biometric capture and attestation without booking any appointment. I met two different people that were able to sweet talk their way and got numbers immediately for biometric without appointment. It all depends on your carriage and luck.I also saw some guys that paid as much as 30k to some "hangers on" under d tree to get appointment same day. But, if you have a reliable sponsor, getting appointment is very easy. My company booked appointment for me for three consecutive times in one week. But it's good you go to Embassy if you can afford it to sort things out.

hope someone can go to the embassy anytime as long as the temporary visa is with you though am planning for nextweek but you know na in terms of money to spend there is roughly 70k both biometric and the attestation of the pcc
PCC is no longer a requirement for UAE Visa in Nigeria. Don't waste 19k for attestation.

30k for biometrics , 37k for medicals, 19k for attestation of medical. Medicals is only needed for employment visa and biometrics is for all.
Hello bro, Please where can I do the medical in Abuja and how long will it take to get the result. Please assist me with process. I need it urgently.

Vacancy for those kind of job you refer to mostly exist on the high end employment ladder.

The UAE is a technologically advance nation, they have gone far past the tech stage Nigeria is presently at.

As such your usual degree certificate (from your regular Nigerian school) is nearly practically useless as far as the mention categories of vacancy are concern.

Am sure you are aware Dubai itself is a smart city.

If you are onto jobs in IT, Engineering, Banking & Finance, Oil & Gas, Offshore stuffs etc, then be sure you are properly educationally certified in those field and possibly, with at least few years of working experience from recognised Nigerian institutions.

Question now is, if you do meet the requirements in the above paragraph, would you really be thinking of Dubai

You would probably (already) be gainfully employed.

If you are thinking Dubai (as as a West African immigrant), then be thinking MIDDLE & LOW level jobs. Forget the HIGH END juice.
If you have Oil and Gas experience, like Field operators, DD, Technician, etc. There are opportunities in UAE.

About 2 weeks.

On your second question....Meaning, you are at the mercy of the agreement the employer had with you. If your employer decide to give you that amount at a later date....nothing do them. Where you given an offer letter stating the figure your employer said you will be paid? If yes....at least you go still get "small" mouth. But na the one whey dey labour be koko.

My opinion.

Thank you bro. I appreciate your advice

My first day in Dubai, I missed company bus, Had to pay 60.5 AED for a taxi from my lodge to Tecom park , a distance of Less than 20km. I believe there are other cheaper options but as a JJC that was my only option. I believe 200 AED will be too lean Bro. Du network sim I bought yesterday was 100AED, when u substract it from 200AED what is left?

That means the salary is below the salary stipulated for Engineers , and hence it wouldn't be accepted at immigration , That might be why they would want to use a level 3 skill to apply for it as to be successful with your visa (level 3 don't need an attested Cert).
Ok. Thanks man.

It depends on the class of job u got. cos if it is a level 1,2 or 3 skill job, immigration wouldn't touch a certificate without UAE seal. its better to get it attested for future changes.
Thanks alot Nattybanta for the invaluable advice.I will surely attest for future use. Please if you are employed as an Engineer and the company decide to fill your profession with immigration as follow up clerk. What are the implications as per the skills level you mentioned above. Looking forward to experienced advise from elders in the house.

But why would somebody just wake up and name his kid BLANKET...

Lol..Micheal Jackson didn't name him Blanket. World media that didn't allow MJ to live his life named the boy blanket due to an incident that happened when the little boy was born.

MJ wanted to throw the little boy wrapped in blanket from a balcony and he was caught by paparazzi. MJ denied and said it was only a blanket $ not a baby.

You are speaking out of ignorance or foolishness. God work is stressful and you must do it with all your heart. If the ushers cannot be friendly they should quit. How can you be defending people that will insult you and also accused you of stealing. Do you know stealing is a criminal offence and you can easily get jailed for it.

Segun, u are a cretin and deserve not to comment on social media. Devil advocate like you. Who is being defended for false accusations? How did my comment relate to your evil hateful cooked up false accusations? Go and get a life and stop insulting people that are already greater than you. The Ushers are strictly inclined and are no nonsense set of people. The control thousands of people and in order to prevent stampede, they have to follow stern procedures. I am happy that nobody said the ushers asked them for money for placement inside the church. The ushers follow strict guidelines and anyone that deviates from it losses his usherhood. In terms of dress code, this ushers handle mammoth crowd from 6pm on Saturday till Monday non stop. You don't expect them to wear suit $ tie controlling such. If you follow ushers simple instructions in SCOAN, you will enjoy the service. Every body is treated the same. Just follow the protocol set for all because when you desist, the ushers are not biased they will show you the way out. This is done in order to achieve orderliness which Nigerians don't observe naturally on their own. But dress the way you want to be addressed. SCOAN is a nice church with a God sent humble Man TB Joshua. May God bless TB Joshua
