Majority of Nigerians are docile and mentally weak. They are too weak to challenge the rotten status quo. The rest of the world have left Nigeria behind due to our weak mindset. |

I know of Nigerians that rejected 6k job here in Dubai. As a professional genuinely employed in Dubai, your housing allowance alone per month can not be less than 3k. |

I lost my ATM sometime ago, went to UBA to make report for blocking the lost ATM card. New card was issued to me. Few days later I received the missing card from a guy that found it on the road. I tried using the card on nearby machine, to my surprise the alleged blocked card was still active and withdrawing cash. In short the old and new cards were both active. UBA is a stupid bank and Nigerians should beware of their lacklustre system |

Data . I spend more than 5k monthly whenever I'm in Nigeria despite limiting my online activities. But whenever I'm abroad, I play my songs directly on YouTube, video chat always and all my personal business activities mostly online, still spend less than equivalent of 3k a month. There is free Wi-Fi everywhere, data is one of the cheapest item abroad. But in Nigeria, people find it difficult to eat, no money in circulation still data very expensive. What a country. |

Enasdan: greetings everyone, I'm preparing to travel to Dubai soon via EgyptAir, please those that knew Cairo & it route very well & has transit in Egypt , I heard they do stop & layover at Cairo airport before connecting flight to UAE my questions 1. do they stamp passenger's int'L passport with the passage stamp during layover (Egyptian sticker at passport) at Cairo airport by the immigration officers when transiting Egypt. 2.. do they issue transit visa, just in case I leave the airport brief during layover when awaiting connecting flight, can I get it in Nigeria before embarking on my journey? can I process it with EgyptAir? how can i obtained it in Cairo airport upon my arrival? thanks in advance, I do kindly need your advice and experience on this, thanks for your swift responses I spent max 2 hours at Cairo airport while waiting for connecting flights. My passport wasn't stamped because there was no need leaving the airport and transit visa wasn't issued. I believe if you are staying longer than 6 hours at the airport, There will be an arrangement. But you need to clarify from Egytpair. |

queendoreez: Hey guys, so i'm looking at flying Egypt Air from Lagos to Dubai in September, but there are so many bad reviews of Egypt Air online especially about missing or delayed luggages. I don't know if i should still proceed to buy the flight ticket, anyone who has flyed with them before should share their experience please. Thank you. I used Egytptair couple of times to middle East. They have decent and comfortable seats and there was no delay in getting my checked in luggage. The luggage allowance is two piece 23kg each and their stop over is Cairo. It's nice considering the amount. But if you want to arrive Dubai in less than 8 hours , Emirates is preferable but the max luggage allowance from Dubai is 30kg. |

Koreans are not that stupid about fake religions and 419 pastors! Leave that to low level mentality Africans! figment of your twisted imagination. At least Google and youtube are available to help you educate your biased mindset. For your Information, Prophet TB Joshua crusades are for citizens of countries he visits. You can continue to deceive yourself. Son of darkness. The followers of Christ that listen to TB Joshua teachings are not your equal under any standard. |

travelland: Nice thanks. I would have liked to know the company and mode of application. Why are they not helping with your visa application? They should be involved You are right. From my personal experience, most high end companies here process your visa, book appointment in the Embassy in Nigeria from Dubai and you only walk in to the Embassy to get your passport stamped no hassle. They will book flight for you and even send Maraba to airport to welcome you. I experienced it my first time in Dubai. Notwithstanding, there are companies paying young Nigerians here more than 23k monthly. We should encourage the high end earner that decided to bring himself out . We need each other to grow here. He may share nice info that will help one or two person. But all the same, look before you leap. This thread is my favourite in Nairaland...you guys are the best |

Taofeekdboy: there is no where I said they discriminate Nigerians, what I said was that some companies prefer hiring expats from Europes and America and moreso wihin the country with a lot of experience, I work with a multi national company also and when I went for their interview they said they don’t discriminate at all and it is true but believe me bro; Nigerians and Europeans or American expats working in the same line of work doesn’t receive the same salary and that’s what’s happening everywhere not only UAE. I’m not discriminating, just saying things with what have experience in this country " here in uae, they value expats from European countries, America than our continent and to even say from Nigeria" That was discrimination bro. I'm equal to any other expat in my field and I demand same everywhere I go. Nigerians are hardworking and let's always keep the spirit high. Even though I'm just one of the two Nigerians in my company presently in Dubai, We are treated and paid equally. |

For someone without educational certificate how did you manage to secure such a job that pays this high and who are the mates you are referring to sir? IT? Ex colleague of mine in Nigeria got offer from a company here in dubai and the pay was as much as 23k AED monthly with housing allowance and opportunity to make more than 15k AED as extra allowance. He is a technician with years of experience in the industry. The job was offered based on his expertise not certificate. |

Taofeekdboy: bro, nobody is trying to condemn your fact or what your job entails, salary and all sort, rather concerned about you because so many fraudulent activities has been going on here in uae to the extent that some companies set everything up and it looks real that you won’t even notice they are about to scam. The reason why we think it is fishy is because, here in uae, they value expats from European countries, America than our continent and to even say from Nigeria, they will prefer someone that is available within the country and have many years of experience here. You might be lucky to got this job but we re just stating our reasons why we think it might be fishy. Once again, I wish you success on your new job. Multi national companies in UAE don't discriminate against Nigerians. If you have the expertise they need, they will come for you. Junior Engineers in my company earn more than $6000 monthly. There is nothing fishy or bogus about the 23K AED salary. It just that most Nigerians here are yet to break into the mainstream professional cadre. When I got my offer I rejected it thinking that it was fake. For five months, the company was calling me from UAE to join before I finally agreed. |

Goldenski: did they request for medical from u at the embassy Yes. Two years Work visa requires medical report but not needed for tourist visa. The medical test is done in Garki Hospital and one Turkish hospital. Test in Garki Hospital is 37k but takes longer time to get report. In Turkish hospital you can get the report same day but higher amount.I spent three days in hotel waiting for test report from Garki Hospital. The money spent waiting for result should be enough to add up to 37k and get the report same day at Turkish hospital. I only got to know about the Turkish hospital after my test. |

Canterbury: Seriously one thing I wouldn't like is wasting funds I don't have to travel to Abuja and they will not allow me book at the embassy.
Please I need suggestions from people that have experienced this booking of biometric or have done theirs.
Trying the embassy (asking because no one is sure if they allow booking at the embassy)will it be the best option or I should chill and keep call the number till thy kingdom come. I was in Abuja last week, So many people turned back and given appointment dates in july at the embassy. Some guys were able to carry out biometric capture and attestation without booking any appointment. I met two different people that were able to sweet talk their way and got numbers immediately for biometric without appointment. It all depends on your carriage and luck.I also saw some guys that paid as much as 30k to some "hangers on" under d tree to get appointment same day. But, if you have a reliable sponsor, getting appointment is very easy. My company booked appointment for me for three consecutive times in one week. But it's good you go to Embassy if you can afford it to sort things out. |

Don't waste 19k for attestation. |
