Health / Re: ‘despite 9M Pregnant Nigerian Women, Only 2.4M Gets HIV Testing’ by Uzee24: 8:52am On Nov 15, 2018
freeman95:

Damn

Sometimes I wanna believe it's unreal because in our real life community ,we claim to have them amongst us , carrying the infection, but we can't even tell , and most of them don't even fall sick or anything, they live just like the non carriers..

These news even tell us many people don't even know they carry it because they don't feel anything ...

Or is there a hidden pain they feel that we don't know about ?

And don't forget there are sickle cell and cancer people who are obvious they are dying , that is obvious

My conclusion ?

HIV might exist but I don't think we have the right perception about that thing we named HIV

If I'm wrong please enlighten me

For you to have used the word "MIGHT" clearly shows you doubt the existence of HIV. My brother, the virus is real. What makes it worst is that it does not manifest physically until its victim is in a dare situation.

I presently work in a foreign donor assisted program on HIV/AIDS, and from my experience so far, a few minutes of pleasure is not worth the risk of living with a lifetime of pain and regret (yes, HIV can be contracted through other means, but its common knowledge that unsafe sex remains the most predisposing factor to contracting the virus).

If you doubt the existence of HIV, take time out and visit the ART dept or Heart to Heart center of any well functioning government hospital whether (general or teaching hospital) on a monday or tuesday and immerse yourself with the number and caliber of people you see there.

HIV is real and is no respecter of persons. Live safe, dont discriminate!

I will like to switch to something more government related as I studied international studies and diplomacy in the univ, and I feel my present course I was given admission for doesn't match my university degree (human resources and international business management). I want to change the course before reapplying again and I hope if doesn't affect my application o. What do you think sire

U can apply for a course in International development, Development Studies or even Public policy.

Happy Sunday to Y'all

Finally got my GCMS notes and decided to post it here to at least, lay to rest the agrument on whether those refused Visa should get their notes before reapplying or they just reapply based on the generic reasons in their refusal letter.

First image is the GCMS note, second is the refusal letter.

Let me quickly add that it is misleading and deceitful to advise anybody not to get their GCMS notes before reapply, except such person has limited time to do so.

Good morning Guys...

Hope everyone is doing ok?
Please, I would like to know from those who applied online how you were able to fill out the 10 years employment history on the study permit application form, considering the fact that the space provided has only 3 rolls which is not enough for the history.

I know when I applied using paper route, I just had to fill and print extra pages of the employment section to show the 10 years history. So how is it done when applying online?

Thanks.

You obviously operate in isolation in your class. If U had friends or at least a friend amongst your coursemates you wouldnt have been in this situation.

Not blaming you though, but I would advise you associate more with your mates, cos you can never underestimate the importance of such relationships.

Dont go writing any higher authority about the case so you dont set yourself up for any form of victimisation by your lecturer, especially if there are other courses she will be taking you in future. So brace up, read and prepare well to write the course in the coming session, its only a case of being absent and not a failed course.

Long post.

God has been faithful to me this year.here is my little story.

It all started last yr after graduating from Uni, i was thinking of d next step to take. traveling abroad has been a dream for me and it seems study visa is d best way to migrate to anoda country at least for my level.

So i started making my research on how to study in various countries like the England, Scotland, wales, canada etc. due to d high tuition fee in the UK nd their policy of students returning home immediately after studies, i just cancelled UK from my list den i focused more on Canada. luckily for me i got a school, i applied and i was given admission this yr February 9th. I also stumbled on this wonderful thread which really helped me tru my application process.

God bless you all.

Congratulations... The German student visa process is simple and straight forward, follow the rules and you are sure of the outcome. May Deutschland be favourable to you.

Client Information (required) - Upload your SOP/LOE, degree certificates, transcripts, birth certificates, recommendation letters from past and present employers, NYSC discharge papers, your work ID, your employment letters, resume etc... (every supporting documents should be uploaded in this section).

Gud morning house,

For those who applied online, I will like your input here.

While going through the online application, I discovered that one can upload only one file for each of the document type. For example, the client information allows only one file to be uploaded. Does it then mean that all supporting documents(SOP, scanned certificates, reference letters, etc) have to be merged together?

I just collected my passport with visa till a day to my passport expiry in 2022!

Battery about to run down.

Congrats Chief.

This Visa race can be likened to the biblical rapture, where some people are swept up to heaven while others are left behind(literally...)

At the end, determination and persistence remains the key. If U dont mind, I would like to send you a pm. Would want to get a second opinion on my SOP since I was slammed with a refusal based on purpose of visit and home ties.

Evening House.

So, after waiting for 18weeks, CIC Kenya branch(lolz...), decide to wield their big stick of refusal. Mehn...this guys no dey fear God shaaa.

Refusal reasons were based on family ties in Canada & country of residence and purpose of visit.
I really dont get this guys, got admitted for MSc in Sociology, U of M. Have a Bsc in Sociology and currently working as a field officer in a development program. All family ties are here in Nigeria none whatsoever in Canada.

Guess my GCMS file will shade more light on the VO's point of reasoning.

Just thought I should update the house!

Linda can best be described as a homebreaker and a husband snatcher! Despite her money and the personalities within her network the best she could settle for is to be a baby mama to a married man.
Where the hell is her dignity?

So after fingeing igorance of the authencity of her certificate she has finally resigned just to give herself a little bit of honor.

I personally think her resignation is just this administration's effort at doing some damage control in an attempt to redeem their ever drowning reputation and image as 2019.
She is a baggage that has to be done away with.

It can get frustrating when you are left guessing because of communication gap. Frankly, I don't know what it means. Seems you missed your German interview. Dilemma!

Yes, I had to cancel the appointment to save myself from being penalized by the Germans for not keeping to the appointment.

Gud p.m House,

Hope we are all doing gud.
The status of my 4 months old app has been reading submitted all this while and my eligiblity has been on since June. However, I just logged in some minutes ago and noticed that the status has changed to app/profile updated.

I understand this could be as a result of the system maintenance of yesterday, but there was visibly no change or anything new on my profile.

So I have been thinking... "Does it mean that my app has been left unattended to all this time and they just started looking at it? Or "Is this new status update for the eligibility they started reviewing since June but status update did not reflect in my account till now? STILL PONDERING!

Hang on guys, what will be...will be.

Thanks for your response. It's appreciated.

No Ma/Sir. This does not qualify as misrepresentation. It's a reasonable estimation and calculation for a year. My admission offer didn't carry an end date too only start date, but since it's 2years, I entered 31st August 2020. It's an estimation it's not set in stone.

Goodevening Chief,
Congrats on ur TRV success. I understand you had ur medicals done at Prime Medicals in PH. Please I would like to know how much it cost and if you had to book an appointment. Thanks.

Still where it is. No word from Kenya. You having your passport puts you in a better situation, you can attend your interview regardless of your status with Canada.
I think am stuck, cant even prepare for the interview.

Funny thing is, both paper application and online route for canada study permit in London, you do not submit your passport.

I did paper aplication and I have my passport with me. When approval is given, they will post a letter to my house, i then submit my passport for visa.

That makes sense. Wonder why its different here.

Goodmorning House!

This Canada visa process gets tiring by the day. As much as I try not to let it get more than the thought it deserves, I cant help but still worry.
My app has been in process since May. Eligibility review started early June and till now no update. My CSE was replied by the Kenya Visa Office with the usually response that my app is under active review and since then nothing.

My dilemma right now is that I have a Visa interview at the German embassy by month end, and my passport is being held by the canada office. I wouldnt want to withdraw my app, but then, I also wouldnt want to miss the interview at the German embassy if Canada wouldnt grant me a visa. Its a tough call for me at this point but I think I should still give them some time before taking any steps.

So y'all June/July applicants, I think U need to take a chill pill cos May guyz are observing from a corner.
