Same here... We are in the same situation. Paper route submitted on May11th. My online account shows my application was received by CIC on May 14th. No update ever since.

Sometimes I cant help but marvel at our reasoning in this country. Why try to defend what is wrong and makes you look like someone without a good sense of judgement?

By naming all these people, you go on to indict her the more (i.e if the said offence was actually commited). Those guys did not serve...yes! But they did not go ahead to commit forgery as its being alleged that she did....NO!

There is always an exception to rules. If a government feels that your expertise is needed in building the country, then certain waviers can be given in other to accommodate such deficiencies.

Her going ahead to procure an NYSC certificate or exemption(whichever it is), only makes her come across as being desperate and forgery is a crime, a grievous one at that. She should clear the air about this and exonorate herself.

Note the following:
1. Up until today only Biometrics showed Completed and Background check has been running since, Eligibility just went under review on the online platform too. Still there

2. Also, according to the document (and like I was informed in this group even as I found it hard to belive), visa will only be issued for till the expiry of the passport so I'll apply for an extension when I'm in Canada by Gods Grace after renewing my Passport when I land in Ontario (not my final destination). I didn't renew my passport because of the 9 or 6 months renewal rule. Chose not to renew my passport after I submitted because I applied based on the current passport data. Also because I read somewhere about the passport having to be more than 6 months old (I doubt the veracity though but better safe than sorry)

3. You're the first people I'm sharing this news with. I really appreciate this forum.

4. Nursing malaria's gonna wait cuz this Nigga's driving to VFS asap.

I think this power issue is relative. While it may not be correct to generalize, it is quite important to point out that there are areas that enjoy some reasonable amount of power supply.

For example yours sincerely, can attest to the fact that power supply has improved tremendiously in ''my area'' here in the Coal City (Enugu) despite the load shading practiced by the Enugu Disco. However, there are areas in the same Enugu Metropolis that do not enough as much power as my area does.
So, while we cant say there is absolutely no power supply, we cant say outrightly that there is constant supply. So it's relative based on your experience in the area you stay and I think thats what the OP is trying to enquire.

Yes, it has to be an official(institutional email as they put it) email address. That way, the school gets to know you are not the one refreeing yourself. Anybody can own a personal email, but you just cant own an email with the name or acronym of an institution if you dont work there.

Think of it like the official and unofficial transcript you send before and after you recieve your admission.

Its not what your friend cannot handle, though it may look stressful from a distance. I will give the same advise I got here last week.
Ask your friend to go, this will enable him/her get an appointment, and rest assured to be attended to on the appointment day.

Was at vfs lagos yesterday and today. My experience was terrible,yesterday i arrived vfs 6am but was far behind the queue (number 222).after much run about we were asked to go and come back today. People who came for 1st time today were given appointment for Thursday and Friday. If you plan going paper route you really have to be tough and patient, and bear in mind you won't submit in one day. Make photo copies of passport data page, bar code page, affidavits. I went along with 2 family forms 5707 & 5645 due to the controversy that was raised here some time ago but the vfs guy told me to submit which ever one i think is best for me he was nice. Also be prepared to snap passport there at a funny price, the passport photos i went with was rejected. It will all end in praise

On the experience section of the IMM1294, I am aware that I should for 10 years. I printed another page and continued filling. However on print out, I found out that page had no serial number beneath. What can I do?

serial numbers are at the top right corner of the forms and nt beneath. Moreover, since its an additional page of that IMM1249 i dont think it would be serial by any means. It's still going to be same page 3 of 5, just that u will fill only that employment section.

By the way, how was the crowd at VFS today?

The second scenario is what you are suppose to put. But funds available is $25,600. That is funds available for one year of study. The visa officer will compute the rest, funds available in succeeding years, from the funds balance in your statement of account presented. If they have any doubts, they will ask you to pay. Don’t worry, I have seen people do it both ways and succeeded. Put total available to them for the whole years of program or just one year. The VOs are trained in interpreting how much is available to you for your study based on how much money you have. They hardly miss it. But the correct one is to indicate how much available to you for one year! And be sure to explain in your SOP that you got a tuition waiver for the second year!

Please I need help with my finances, just a second opinion though.

I am a self sponsored applicant and I know am to show funds for the duration of my studies. However, my fear is the Visa Officer mistaking the funds for two years as one year and then slamming my app with insufficent funds.

For example, which of these scenearios is best advised
Tuition= 11600, living expenses=22000, others= 5000. Total = 38600. Availabe funds = 46000.
Or
Tuition =11600, living expense =11000, others 3000. Total= 25600. Available funds=46000.

NB: the applicant wont be paying tuition in second yr.

My admission letter states that I have been recommended for a $5400 graduate entrance scholarship, and an email notification sent to me to that effect albeit not on an official letterhead.
My question however is, Do I still need the scholarship award to be stated separately on a different letter or will the one stated on my admission letter be enough to show the Visa Officer that I received such?
