leverage12: but,do this guys actually made the engine themselves? because that is the koko oo. if the engine is bought and assembled then its rubbishIt is not only the engine that makes an automobile. There are many other parts. What we should praise is something that has a high local content. If you can make Toyata engine to work with various other parts that are locally made then you have built a car. |
Let us bear it in mind that nobody can love you as much as you love yourself. If you have to choose between your interest and someone else's interest you definitely will choose yours. "Foreigners" always start on good footings until they have infiltrated your system and seen how weak it is. Why pay for what you can have almost free? The west didn't start with colonization. They started with trading with us. Over time they saw that they could have our resources for free. Why pay? Same will happen with Africa-China in the long run. We need to develop an education system that makes us competitive in the global economy. Anything short of that (even a harmless partnership) is waste of time and will send us back decades. |
1 Desperate Housewives 2 Flash Forward 3 Prison Break 4 Two and Half Men 5 Spartacus I'm not really sure about the order but Desperate Housewives will always be near the top if not at the top. |
It seems many people are mixing things up. Engineers' jobs are different from technicians' jobs. Engineers' jobs are available only in countries that produce technology products.Nigeria does not. Hence, engineering jobs are not available in Nigeria. Engineers employed in Nigerian companies actually do technician jobs. Of course technicians are better at doing their own jobs than Engineers. To prove the foregoing right you will see that any Nigerian engineering graduate that will be employable will actually need to spend additional money after school to train himself as a technician. Note: The people who design new computers are engineers. They are not in Nigeria. The people who bring dead or almost dead computers back to life are technicians. What do Nigerian "computer engineers" do? The people who design new airplanes are engineers. Those who bring dead or almost dead airplanes back to life are technicians. What do Nigerian "aero.. engineers" do? |
All the crap about juju is born out of fear and ignorance. A few days ago a bus conductor threatened to make me run mad there and then, I dared him to go ahead and of course nothing happened. I then went ahead and told him if he had any juju that works his first desire will be to use it to free himself from his suffering and stop being the goalkeeper of a commercial bus. I always dare anybody to demonstrate to me any evidence of juju that they know. |
After the policeman extorts money from you he expects you to become his friend as an appreciation for bringing down his "fee" for your offense. |
Seems some men planted their seeds far away from home as well.Only dna test can prove that those people are not actual siblings. |
The truth is that you would not have been able to summon enough courage to resist paying the bribe. They could easily rope you in for other more serious offenses such as being the one who remotely crashed kaduna state governor's helicopter;anything;just anything. There is no rule of law in this country. So,the wise thing is to negotiate your way out and keep moving.Trying to prove your innocence will work only if the other party is truly interested in justice. |
@Mr Pak, I actually tried moving a few guys from your team2 to team1 and it was just impossible. nobody to substitute. You have an excellent team1. |
^^^ He probably got to watch Rufai when he was already on the decline. Old age things. |
What about Garba Lawal? A very consistent and disciplined footballer. |
Humphrey Edobor (Jersey No 11 or 7 can't really remember) should be on the list. That guy used to score from the touchline. |
The reason for the backward state of Africa is embedded in this thread. The same approach Africans use for problem solving is what is going on on this thread. Everybody just talks believing his opinion is the best thing that has ever happened to mankind even to the extend of ridiculing (and if possible, punishing) those who dare to think otherwise. If we are serious about obtaining something tangible from this thread I believe we should adopt a scientific approach examining each opinion and not be ROSSIKEish in our attitudes. The method I am suggesting is that we find a time in history when black Africa was at par with(or even ahead of) other parts of the world. We then genuinely examine what others did from that point forward that we didn't. |
For us to really understand why Africa is backward, we may need to go back in time.Gradually we keep going until we reach a point when Africa was like other parts of the world. IMO That time was the 3rd Millenium BC. We should then start asking "What went wrong from then?" Do Nls agree with this scientific method? |
@OP, What you really need desperately now is not an advise as you requested. What you need is a very hot slap to wake you up to reality. Mumu. |
MRbrownJAY: and what did she think his job was , with all these guns? policeman maybe?!No,hunter. lol |
Not an invention. But it is a good thing for Nigeria. It can be more effective if Nigeria first makes it important that every Nigerian must have his biodata in the Nigerian database right from the day of birth. It should be impossible to benefit anything from Nigeria if your biodata is not in the database. |
People from good homes are almost always automatically good without putting in much effort to be good. People from bad homes have to put in a lot of efforts to be good. An average Brazilian teenager will put in less effort than an average Liberian teenager to become a football star in Europe.Yet George Weah, a Liberian was once the world's best.It is possible but the probability is very low. A student who had good elementary and secondary education and attended a good university stands a greater chance of receiving Nobel Prize in the future than ... If a person claims to be good and he/she is still in very good terms with the "bad" family then you must be very careful.Have you thought about your children going to stay with the "bad" family for holidays? Will you be comfortable? Have you thought about one of your inlaws coming to spend a week in your house, will you keep fearing for their influence on your wife and kids? Also, note that you are still looking at the packaging. If you look beyond the packing you will see the real content. It is all about the content.I am happily married. So, I know whatz up. |
I hope you all noticed how he gave details of what happened to his money and phone but nothing whatsoever was said about his daughter or any other occupant of the car. |
Nigeria will be better if we learn a culture that rejects any form of vagueness. Our easy embrace of vagueness is what keeps us backward (not just Nigeria but all third world countries). What makes a country to be called developed is that there is no vagueness is anything. Whatever you do or fail to do has clearly defined consequences. -Vagueness in crime tackling makes criminals have a high probability of getting away with crime or corruption. -Vagueness in how roads are to be built and maintained makes us not to know how and when they will be built. We just accept what comes and don't even know what to criticize since nothing is ever clear. -Vagueness in how we are to live together and rule ourselves makes us not to know who should be in power and whether we should even be together or not. You see vagueness in every aspects of our lives including the way we drive on the roads. Removing vagueness by incorporating traffic lights and cameras as well as law enforcement officers to monitor things will make traffic flow much better. We all know what happens at road junctions where things are not clearly defined (i.e where vagueness reigns)The law enforcement officers can do very little to control the resulting chaos. |
This is scary story! Someone made a comment that Ekene... desn't operate from Calabar. you may wanna checheck it out with Ekene... to know if any of their buses was robbed recently. Otherwise you can take it that your friend was having a good time with his secret lover all the time he was missing. |
CSI - Lagos Season 1. As usual there will be loud noises about it but it only lasts a few months. The guy's wife and children are doomed. They thought he had pension savings but he doesn't or they have to pay someone to claim it. |
Still thinking of quitting? He should have quit already by now. I am not saying the girl is wrong. What I am saying is that he has to choose NOW between the two as they are not compatible and he can't have them both.He has to choose his mother. By the way he shouldn't have ever flared up. He should have just been happy he is detecting this early enough before marriage when it may be almost too late. |
joe4christ: For what naw?@Joe,it is not about the price of toothbrush. We used to have our individual tooth brushes. We didn't plan it but over the years after marriage it turned out that either one of us brushed with either of the brushes. So,in that situation there was no point continuing to buy more than one toothbrush.I would never have married her if I couldn't kiss her "dirty" mouth or share her toothbrush.I didn't actually know it's a problem for some people until I read it here on Nairaland. No wonder there is so much unhappiness in some homes. They just make issues out of nothing. |
We share a single toothbrush. So,I don't understand how kissing is suppose to be a problem. I actually love the taste of her mouth before brushing. It's a big turn on. |
Marriage sweet die ooo.Heaven is already here! First year of marriage gave me a feeling that all those who complained in their marriages were just exaggerating things. Till date I find it difficult to understand what is suppose to be causing problems. When we argue or disagree,it is with 49% frowns and 51% smiles and generally ends with me getting stronger errection and she longer forreplay and deeper orgassm. I learned a long time ago that just when u feel u may raise ur voice to drive home your points you should just lie down and u will see how impossible it is to shout at your spouse (You will have to speak with normal voice.Misunderstandings never degenerate unless u raise your voice). It works for me. Till date she still complains about me sometimes forgetting to flush the toilet and she hates the sight of shiit (mine inclusive). I just say something like "Ooooh I am so sorry. When next you shiit just retaliate by not flushing.I will come do the flushing and we are even." It always ends in smiles. Till date,I complain about her many shortcomings but we always end up smiling without raising our voices. If i have another heart I still will give it to her.If I live another life I still will spend it with her.LIFE IS GOOD. |
Each time I tried typing something to post I found myself starting to LMAO all over. I have heard a lot of stewpeed stuffs this year but this and the mossad trained shark theory top my list. |
@OP, I see you are a teenager. May be you should wait and grow a little more to understand that dating or having any affair with your current or past friend's current or past ex is a no no. |
Anybody claiming fueless engine (or perpertual motion engine), is a fraud and a thief. It is a law of nature that energy cannot be created.@Beaf, You actually called someone a fool without validating if his machine is working? You called him a fool based on some theories that you and I learned a long time ago. The guy is not putting forward a hypothesis. He is claiming a machine and I think the only wise way to know the truth is to try out the machine. I too am skeptical whenever I hear of such seemingly bogus claims but there is a difference between testing a theory and testing a machine. |
