Reading many comments on this thread makes it easier for me to see why fraud and corruption lingers in this country. You are here calling her a "bad looser" but do you know that her remarks are enough to make people start watching the judgments more closely in the future? And as a result better result eventually announced? In all honesty I do not see why a person who could not answer her questions properly should emerge winner. When will Nigerians ever understand that merit swept to the background is one of the reasons for our backwardness? |
Don't know about her winning the pageant as many of them were pretty enough to win it. But don't you think it is really ironic that a person who could not answer her questions properly became the eventual winner among other "equally" pretty ladies ![]() |
Marriage is the union between one set of family and friends and another set of family and friends. If we keep this in mind when making our choices, things will go smoothly afterward. People misbehave less frequently because they know that many people care about them and will be affected by their actions. Most of the rants that we hear from people about not enjoying their marriages is because they choose to ignore this common wisdom. Most single ladies are so obsessed with Rich TDH men with six-pack abs that they don't really have the time to look deep and see the real person inside the flesh. Likewise, most single guys are too obsessed with sex appeal and a lady's physical beauty and outward behavior (which is just a marketing strategy from the ladies) that they can't really see the real person inside the flesh. My family and my wife's family (we really don't distinguish between the two) come around and are free with us and we are all happy together. They don't live with us and hardly pass the night. That is also my recommendation for everyone except if impossible. |

The same thing the sharia states are doing is what the christian pastors do. They say "thou shall not steal" but when you steal and bring tithes and offerings, they collect. No questions asked.lol Hypocrisy seems to be a well established culture in our country. |
Nayah:If a man supposedly likes you that much and the burning fire love is not fierce enough to give him the necessary push to express himself in words to you, then he is still not your man. All you can do as a woman is to make yourself available around him for a while in the presence of other people. If he doesn't catch your drift, then walk away and save yourself the tears that will come rolling down from your eyes later. |
@Nayah, You don't need to. If you do,you will cry later especially if you need him to like you back in return. A man that likes you will naturally notice you even if you even in the dark! It is in our biological makeup. |
Siddon dia. When were you promised a savior? Who did the promising? A politician ![]() |
And why should they share part of the "oyel" money gotten from the land of the South-South "infidels" who they are eagerly willing to slaughter at the slightest provocation? Methinks the union called Nigeria is too partial. |
~Bluetooth:Ki ni awon Ibo se fun e gan na?Must you always interpret things only "tribalistically"? |
She should have been put under house arrest while speedy conclusive investigations are done. Detaining her in police cell is quite cruel since she should be presumed innocent. She is most likely guilty but we need to make presumption of innocence a principle. Now guys, remember the UK based Nigerian couple who gave birth to a white baby girl? Should they simply have been locked up just because it was strange and unheard of till that time in history? We should learn how a modern society works. |
If the OP takes this beyond NL into the real world where the sh!!t actually happens, it will just be a matter of days before he is tracked down and lynched and he will be just another unsolved murder. However, it is soothing to realize that at least one Norther Muslim (i really hope he is) can call a spade a spade and not systematically calling it an agricultural tool. |
For all those saying that Owelle won't be able to sustain IMSU. If IMSU has 20,000 students (just estimating) and each pay N150,000, the total money expected as school fees is about N3b. Are you saying that Imo govt. won't be able to pump that amount into IMSU if all the holes through which monies were leaking are blocked? |
funny.lol |
^^^, They have more experience in this kind of issue. Through the bomb signature, they can know its origin. |
Nice one.lol ![]() |
^^^, A single picture says more than a thousand words (so they say). Please post very elaborate pictures. Also, where do we get the fuel (char briquettes)? Lastly, you didn't talk about money. How much will it cost per unit.If there are different models, you can start by telling us how much the cheapest model costs and how much the fuel costs. |
Emmanuel Amuneke. -- By the way he played the game, you know he loved Nigeria. |

CHICAGO (AFP) – A Texas man died while raping a 77-year-old woman, local media reported. Isabel Chavelo Gutierrez, 53, broke into the woman's rural home armed with a knife and attacked her. But in the midst of the rape he complained he wasn't feeling well and "stopped having sex with her so he could rest," the Corpus Christi Caller reported citing the local sheriff's office. The registered sex offender continued to handle her, however, then rolled over and died. The woman initially thought he had passed out drunk because she smelled alcohol on his breath. She fled her home in her car and called her daughter for help. Investigators believe Gutierrez died of a heart attack after riding his bicycle two miles to the woman's home on a hot summer day but are awaiting the results of an autopsy. He was on parole for sex crimes including indecency with a child in 1986 and had been released from prison in 2008. The Refugio County Sheriff's Office was not immediately available for comment. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20110614/ts_alt_afp/ussexcrime_20110614184635;_ylt=AoVGT9XKxWy076PP_FoJeFhH2ocA;_ylu=X3oDMTM1dTB2cWlkBGFzc2V0A2FmcC8yMDExMDYxNC91c3NleGNyaW1lBGNjb2RlA3RvcGdtcHRvcDIwMHBvb2wEY3BvcwMxBHBvcwMxBHNlYwN5bl90b3Bfc3RvcmllcwRzbGsDdGV4YXNtYW5kaWVz Na wa ooooh. Abi electricity shock the guy inside her "thing" ? Could she have killed him? |
Waoooh !!! She should keep it up. |
@OP, Someday after your marriage and may be after your first child, you may get to realize that her mama's last born is actually her daughter !!! Then she will say something like "Sorry,I forgot to tell you she is actually my daughter.I had her when I was in SS2. Everybody thinks she is my mama's last born". You are in a very tight corner but nothing spoil. If with her age,you have considered her good enough for marriage, I think you should go ahead with the marriage since you are still older than her. At least your ego won't be too injured. But be a man.Sit her down and tell her she had your trust on a platter of gold. Now she will have to earn it. |
Such maltreatment will continue to be experienced until we develop a system that gives the Nigerian the priority in all dealings with foreigners. |
@poster, I just don't get it.Why does the so called prophecies leave you prophecy believers more confused than before you hear it. Segun has moved on.You know it. That is why you went back to your vomit called Dingani. What do you take Dingani for? A man you can just run to when you can't get what you really want from the other side? Once the pasture starts looking greener on the other side, you leave him sharp sharp. Thank God the Dingani guy is wise. My candid opinion: You have lost both guys. Don't let some prophecy get you more confused. What to do now: Forget about both guys and move on too. Something good will come you way with time.I hope "time" is on your side. |
sorry, we have action culture . . . . visit Niger Delta creeks or Boko Haram enclaves . . . . . . furthermore, the recent crisis in the North in which corps members lost their lives is a good story to work on - even pre-Biafra pogroms. It will bring about the exposure of the evil men in Nigeria.@saintneo, Thank you so much for this post. I agree with action movie NIGERIAN STYLE AND CONTENT. Things that our people and children can relate with. |
@OP, Why should we shoot action movies? Do we have to copy everything from there? We have cultures too that we can showcase the positive side of to the world. You try to be like somebody else and you will never be great. |
If you come from a background where such a thing doesn't matter then go ahead and marry her. However, from your post, you are concerned about how family and friends will take it. So,it means that it matters a lot. If you have had a peaceful and loving relationship with your family and friends and you are about to do anything that makes them uneasy then think it through very well because their perspective is very likely the right one and your emotion filled perspective is very likely wrong. All that said. Does it occur to you that her sweetness may just be a marketing strategy? If she was really that sweet how come all men didn't notice it till she is now 34? You have known her for just 6 months. Have you tried to find out (from real sources independent of what she tells you) how she lived her life from age 0-34? I hear many people saying you shouldn't bother about what family and friends say. That it is her you are marrying and it is the love between you two that matters. Please don't ever try that western stewpeedity. It doesn't work here. Neither does it work there (because their divorce rate is about 48% http://www.divorcerate.org/). We African's may be lagging in technology but our principles of marriage are far better than the west. Here, a marriage is between one set of family and friends and another set of family and friends. So,if you are the only one seeing her sweetness and your family and friends don't see it, you better think well. |
^^^, You find it difficult to believe that we can perform better than them just because you have been conditioned to worship them. Nigerians can do well.Yes.Even in soccer. |
