OEPHIUS: …Restates zero tolerance for bitterness, conflict
In furtherance of his administration’s commitment to sustainable peace, security and good governance in Enugu State, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, on Friday, inaugurated a 17-man committee on conflict resolution, headed by Dr. Uchenna Ogbu, as the Director-General. Instead of Reading Naija News i prefer listening to Good Naija Songs Biko ooooo https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Best-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Top-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/New-Naija-Songs.jpg Noting that “the whole world is steadily embracing Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as a means of resolving conflict”, Gov. Ugwuanyi, while inaugurating the committee, stated that the body is saddled with the responsibility of “reconciling issues between individuals, communities and/or institutions that may be assigned to them by His Excellency, the Governor”.
The governor said his administration in the past five years has "strived to build an Enugu State of our dreams where there is peace and common brotherhood”, adding that “we know that Enugu State is one big family, as we have zero tolerance for bitterness and conflict”.
He pointed out that the committee was set up in recognition that “in every human settlement, there are bound to be conflicts because of our unique individual differences”.
Gov. Ugwuanyi therefore urged members of the committee “to go out and ensure that conflicts are resolved through dialogue and reconciliation as may be assigned to you, thereby helping government in the discharge of its responsibility”.
Reiterating his administration’s resolve in setting up other institutional and legal frameworks for dispute resolution, the governor further stated that “Enugu State is the first State in the whole of South East Zone to set up the Multidoor Court House in 2018 and the third in the Country after Lagos and Abuja”.
He revealed that his administration has also established mediation centres in all the Local Government Area headquarters of the state and enjoined the committee, which comprises professionals and former members of the State and National assemblies, representatives of the security agencies as well as the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), to take advantage of the existing government’s mechanisms for dispute resolution in the discharge of their duties.
Responding on behalf of others, Dr. Ogbu thanked the governor for finding them worthy to serve in the committee and assured him of their commitment to full actualization of his noble vision towards the maintenance of peace and stability in the state.
The Director-General, who described the committee as “the first of its kind in the history of Enugu State”, said that it is “another hallmark of creative, trend-setting and innovative disposition of His Excellency ever since he assumed office as the Chief Servant of the people of the state”.
Stating that the committee is “the imprint of a leader who is deeply concerned and committed to the welfare, peace and socio-economic advancement of his people, Dr. Ogbu reassured the governor that the members will ensure that his good intentions and the set objectives of the committee are fully, effectively and satisfactorily actualized.
Members of the committee also include Hon. Donatus Okechukwu Uzogbado, Hon. Dr. Emeka Ogbuabor, Hon. Mrs. Dame Lydia Nkechi Omeje-Ogbu, Hon. Matthew Erochukwu Ugwueze, Hon. John Kevin Ukuta, Hon. Nelson Uduji, Hon. Agbo Joseph Ugwumba, Hon. Johnbull Nwagu and Hon. Philip Nnamani.
Others include Hon. Anthony Ogidi, Hon. Obinna Okenwa, Barr. Enosa Omoghibo (ICPC), DSP Lawrence Obodouzu (Police), Adedeji O. Adelana (DSS), Stephen N. Onyekwo (DSS) and Hon. Arc Paul Eze.
Enugu State is in the hands of God! ##

NORSYK: Okorocha forfeits state-of-the art hospital to Federal Government
Okorocha, now the property of the Federal Government Instead of Reading Naija News i prefer listening to Good Naija Songs Biko ooooo https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Best-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Top-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/New-Naija-Songs.jpg The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC secured another victory Friday in its campaign against grand corruption in public service as Justice T.G Ringin of a Federal High Court sitting in Owerri, ordered the final forfeiture of a hospital linked to former governor Rochas Okorocha.
Dews of Hope Hospital, located in the heart of Imo capital of Owerri Dews of Hope Hospital is a N1.5 Billion state-of-the-art 200-bed hospital, whose ownership was denied by a former aide to Okorocha. The forfeiture came a day after the commission secured the conviction and sentencing of former governor Orji Uzor Kalu of Abia State(1999-2007) for money laundering and corruption.
The Commission had on August 22, 2019 secured the interim forfeiture of the Owerri hospital from a vacation Judge, Justice A. T Mohammed of Federal High Court, Port Harcourt.
The application for interim forfeiture was triggered by evidence that the facility may have been acquired through proceeds of illicit activities, as funds from Government House, Owerri were traced to the hospital.
The Commission’s investigation revealed that Dr. Paschal Obi, former Permanent Secretary and Principal Secretary to then Governor Okorocha, now a serving member of the House of Representatives, was a signatory to the accounts.
However, Obi, like members of the board of the hospital, vehemently denied ownership of the medical facility. The managing director of the hospital on invitation, could not also explain how the hospital was funded.
These developments led the Commission to file for the forfeiture of the property on July 25, 2019 under Section 17 of the Advance Fee Fraud, and Other Related Offences Act 2006.
In granting the request for the interim forfeiture of the property, the court ordered the anti-graft agency to publish the Order in a national newspaper, which was accordingly complied with in the Nation Newspaper of August 30, 2019 and Leadership Newspaper of September 3,2019 respectively, asking interested parties to show cause why the property should not be forfeited to the federal government within fourteen days from the dates of the publications.
Upon the expiration of the fourteen day notice and with no one showing interest in the hospital, the Commission filed for the final forfeiture of the facility.
The hospital located at the heart of Owerri metropolis, had an adjourning staff and doctor’s quarters.

Kwanza: Three policemen, four personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, and one maintenance staff attached to the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Bayelsa State Government House, Mrs. Ebizi Ndiomu-Brown were on Thursday arrest over alleged involvement in the theft of N 3.5 million from the office. Sources close to the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff confirmed that the office where the money was kept, which had two entrances, was burgled.
It was gathered that the two entrances were guarded by policemen and many wondered how the bogglers had access to the cash.
It was gathered that the order for the arrest of the policemen on duty at the time of the theft, was ordered by the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Uche Anozia.
Already, detectives from the department of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the State Police Command is investigating the incident.
A Government House source said that the theft of such a huge amount was shocking to the Deputy Chief of Staff and other officials of the State Government.
Attempts to get confirmation from the officials of the State Government proved abortive as they kept mum over the incident.
An official that spoke on the incident under anonymity, said that “only the policemen have been arrested because they were on duty at the time of the theft.”
Confirming the incident, SP Asinim Butswat
Police Public Relations Officer Bayelsa State Command, said: “On 5th December 2019, at about 0850 hours, the Command received a report of Burglary and Stealing in the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Yenagoa.
“It was reported that the main entrance door to the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff was broken and the Safe inside the office was destroyed.
“The crime scene was visited by policemen and it was further revealed that the sum of Three Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira was stolen.

Politics › Re: Zainab Ahmed Insists FIRS Will Collect Stamp Duties, Others by VanGun: 12:49pm On Dec 07, 2019 |
agwom: The Minister of Finance Budget and National Planning. Zainab Ahmed, has said that the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) would be in charge of sales and collection of stamp duties. This is coming despite the Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporations and Government Owned Companies (SSASCGOC) and NIPOST workers got the assuarance of the senate that they would carry out the mandate.
The Minister while addressing the press in Abuja said “by the passage of the Finance Bill it will be the Federal Inland Revenue Service that will be collecting the Stamp Duties.” S “It is a revenue for the government, it is a form of tax for every financial transaction that goes on. Instead of Reading Naija News i prefer listening to Good Naija Songs Biko ooooo https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Best-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Top-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/New-Naija-Songs.jpg For example, you send a transfer, you see the bank charges you N50, FIRS is going to be the collection agency,” she added. However, SSASCGOC had in a letter signed by the president of the union, comrade Mohammed Yunusa and the general secretary comrade Ayo Olorunfemi, which was copied to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Senate president Ahmed Lawan and the Speaker House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila and made available to Daily Trust stated that “The provisions of Stamp Duties Act Cap S8 Laws of the Federation 2004 and the NIPOST Act Cap N127 LFN 2004, has given the sole power to collect stamp duties to NIPOST.” Comrade Ayo stressed that it is the ‘core mandate’ of NIPOST to collect stamp duty after which five percent of what was collected is used for the development of NIPOST infrastructures Nationwide.
He further noted that “it is no longer an attempt, but is now clear that the Federal Ministry of Finance in collaboration with Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) are ready to take over the responsibility of Nigeria Postal Service by influencing the House of Representatives to insert that they should be responsible for the collection of stamp duty. He lamented that “Once this is done, NIPOST is finished and the staff is gone, there is no source of revenue and therefore, the financial inclusion programme of this government will go into extinction. Because it is only NIPOST that has a federal presence in all the villages across Nigeria.”
Daily Trust gathered that the problem started when in line with the digital economy of the federal government, NIPOST sponsored a bill to migrate from manual to digital on the collection of stamp duty. He said from the analysis, about N500 billion would be collected from the first year with an electronic collection of stamp duty, adding that subsequent years the amount would run into trillions.
“Now that the federal government announced the establishment of Ministry of Communication and Digital economy you don’t expect NIPOST to continue to be analog. So we sponsored a bill to give us the power to do electronic stamp so that we can use the electronic stamp to denote our receipt and other business transaction.
“And all of a sudden because we put the financial implications, the huge revenue derivable from the project, the Federal Inland Revenue Service connived with the minister of Finance to corner the process. “Ours is a business, we produce stamp and sale. The inland services don’t produce, what we produce is a stamp and if it changes from manual to digital, that shouldn’t be their business.” He said.

Davidflight: These places are all you need to see before your next trip!
The beauty of Africa isn’t just about the skyscrapers that stand tall in the chilly cities of Capetown or the sweaty, commercial Lagos that’s noised with round-the-clock hustle. The emerging city of Nairobi still doesn’t qualify. Africa is beautiful for its own sake! Instead of Reading Naija News i prefer listening to Good Naija Songs Biko ooooo https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Best-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Top-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/New-Naija-Songs.jpg If you form your story of Africa from the pictures on television, you’re no better than one who still regards Africa as a country. The national dailies won’t feed you better ideas either if you need places to visit in Africa. Forget those horrifying tales and black monkey legends. Africa is lush!
I’ve toured different destinations of the world as a virtual nomad. I can’t yet rank any other place better in the way I felt the touch of nature in East and South Africa. But I may be wrong. There may still be better places my adventurous self hasn’t graced. Well, I live for discoveries.
Places to Visit in Africa; My Little Tip Experience From when the aircraft you board touches down, you can almost tell what the destination you are visiting looks like. Africa is given out easily. Safe for North Africa, the weathers across the continent are nearly the same. So are the people; accepting, loving and beautiful. African cultures fascinate and can easily draw any tourist in. I can’t easily forget my fascinating experience in Namibia.
It was my first time in Namibia. I just arrived at the Namibian airport and boarded an airport taxi to my hotel. The driver helped with a 1990s countryside sound to suit the breezy, sunny atmosphere. Just as I looked against the rear window, I could embrace a feeling that resonates with the home. It was an emerging city that hasn’t yet forsaken its cultural traits.
My experience in Namibia is strikingly similar to what I had in many other parts of Africa I visited. It’s the same continent that offers the best wildlife and safari experience. The same continent with bubbling nightlife and hustling spirit. The same continent with many natural virgin tourist attractions that are hungry for discovery and appreciation.
While you plan on taking your vacation to Africa this period, these four places to visit in Africa are perfect options you may want to consider.
Watamu, Kenya Watamu is a small, fishing and undeveloped village in Kenya. Strikingly, it’s one of the best places to vacation in Africa. Sitting north of Mombasa, Kenya, this lush, sandy coast embodies is a tropical gem you rarely can find anywhere in the world. It’s beautified with coral gardens and crystal blue sea that project nature in its idyllic form. Indeed, is one of the thrilling places to visit in Africa.
Just when I touched down the Mambosa airport on my first trip, I strongly felt its captivating allure. I must confess, it was a healing experience as I needed a breakout from my insane routines. And each day I set out to the beach to embrace the serene, brisk atmosphere, I would return rejuvenated and healed.
There’re many things to experience. You could go onboard paddling in the river – the home of dolphins and humpback whales – if you’re stronghearted. Kite surfing or scuba diving is another thrilling experience visitors and locals enjoy at the Watamu Marine Park. How about exploring the open, greenish Arabuko Sokoke Forest – Southern and Eastern Africa’s largest coastal jungle. There you’ll meet the wildest, gentlest and lovelies of animals in the world, even buffalos and elephants. You could wrap up touring the green, tall tree plantation and beautiful archeological artifacts.
Nungwi, Zanzibar “It sounded too exotic to be real in the story. But when I visited, I realized the stories didn’t really capture the depths!” – an American backpacker shared with me over a glass of wine at the Forodhani Gardens. This is an Island with matchless untamed beauty! Why won’t it sit atop the list of places to visit in Africa?
Surprisingly, a lot of the visitors Zanzibar are couples. Maybe they are drawn by its contagious romantic appeal which is potent enough to revive a relationship on a downward spiral. From the luxe hotels that stand on the gateway to the captivating sunset and chilly resort, there’s just much to help your couple goals.
But Zanzibar isn’t for the couple vacationers alone. It’s perfect for anyone and anything. If you are on solo travel, you can settle to treat your drained body to some spa after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro – the famous mount standing just against the beach. If you’re a foodie, hold yourself – sumptuous seafood, grilled maize, meat kebabs and other savory delicacies served at the resort may push you to empty your wallet.
Interestingly, this plush island was once a fishing village living a distressed ghetto life. The once aging suburb bungalows scattered in the locale have now taken the shape and glamour of state-of-the-art edifices offering comfort to thousands of tourists from all over the world.
After a long day of tour and adventuring on its beaten paths, you can retire to one of its wintry beaches to unwind with a chilled drink.
Anse Source d’Argent & Anse Soleil, Seychelles Some say it’s “the most beautiful beach in the world.” Others say it’s “lush tropical heaven.” Don’t argue if you haven’t been here. Whatever praise it gets, the Anse Source d’Argent, La Digue of Seychelles is deserving of it. Its type is rare – an archipelago that revels in luxury and deluxe tropical scenery. Its breezy, palatial beaches and pristine, chilly white sand make honeymoon, vacation or backpack delightful ranking it top on our list of places to visit in Africa. And year by year, thousands of tourists escape finding solace away from noise-infested urban locales.
The gateway to the resort leads to a stunning backdrop of beautiful green hills and an alluring tropical path. And when you touch down, you can readily find your next stop – there’s so much to do. Slipping into the sparkling, exquisite water for a swim or snorkeling in the luxuriant reefs may attract you first. You may also want to go diving or relax your weary self on the beach, work on your tan, etc. – just so much to fix up with.
And I can’t forget neat restaurants that treat both locals and visitors with delicious meals. Lavish Seafood and local cuisines may waste you if you are such a foodie.
If you take your kids along, be careful, they may ask for a permanent stay.
Skeleton Coast, Namibia Warning, this isn’t a love zone! It’s called “the land God made in anger.” From the air, its bleak shoreline gives an astonishing overview. But this is a daring resort – with lions and other carnivores walking proudly on its chilly white sand as you’d have in the Caribbean.
Its sands tower hundreds of meters – nearly 400 feet- against the shores. Everything you see is pure nature, nothing man-made except for the old shipwrecks buried in the beach sands and the skeletons of Whale and seal the former whaling industry litter the coastline – the source of its startling name.
So, why visit this such a place with that’s likened to the terrifying Caribbean. Because it’s the best shorelines in the world.
“It seems more like a mirage than real,” CNN’s Joe Yogerst said describing this forbidden wonderland.
Situated between the Swakop and the Kunene rivers, in the coastal side of Namibia, the Skeleton beach is a virgin spot that’s unique in itself. It extends from the Swakopmund city in the north of Namibia, to the Angolan border. It sits in between the Ugab and Hoanib Rivers in the South and the Hoanib and Kunene rivers in the north.he north – where, the Skeleton Coast Wilderness lives – is where visitors want to go. But just about 800 visitors are allowed to grace the lovely shore each year in order to preserve the fragile environment.
You can build a checklist of things to do before you set out on your journey. You can go on fishing at the Henties Bay, explore the Cape Cross Seal Reserve, ride along to experience the desert-adapted wildlife.
The Skeleton coast is largely uncivilized but this’s intentional to preserve it for nature’s sake – so, visitors can have a place of escape from man-made urban areas with sweaty, polluted life.
Bonus These are just a few mentions of the beautiful, lush places to visit in Africa. Step out of your comfort zone, you'll discover that nature lives in the continent.

Synord: 6th of December 2019, Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkidayo , aka Starboy, aka Machala , aka Sound man after recording a smash hit with Beyonce earlier in the year decided to pull a Beyonce on music listeners across the world by dropping his seven track Extended play entitled entitled " Sound man " . Instead of Reading Naija News i prefer listening to Good Naija Songs Biko ooooo https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Best-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Top-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/New-Naija-Songs.jpg Machala as he is fondly called decided to drop a surprise EP to wet the appetite of Wizkid FC and music listeners in anticipation of his highly awaited " Made in Lagos" album . After the release of Joro and ghetto love which were received with mixed reactions, Ayo decides to test the waters by dropping this project under the Starboy imprint and as we analyse this body of work, we will see whether indeed Baba bolu proved his Calibre and repute as Africa's biggest contemporary music export .
Producers - Blaqjerzee, London, KelP Featured Artistes - Chronixx, Djtunez, Blaqjerzee, KelP, London Label - Starboy
1) Jam featuring Chronixx
On Jam featuring Jamaican artiste, Chronixx, Wizkid gives us an opening reminiscent of his stellar efforts on Sounds from the other side .. Wizkid sings about Jamming the love of his life and begging her to come into his life .The highlight of the track is Chronixx who brings his A game on this track and spices it up with his patois vibes . The trumpet gives this jam , an Afrobeat feel and Wizkid lyrics which is a deviation from what he has been serving us for a while makes listeners hopeful for more . A perfect intro.
2) Blow ft Blaqjerzee
Something about Blow gives a vibe of "low", a song by Larry Gaaga featuring Wizkid which is also produced by the same producer , Blaq Jerzee . Wizkid tells the ladies to blow the trumpet and Jo fun Alhaji. Everything on this track screams Low. A decent track at most .
3) Cover me ft Djtunez
Kel P vibes showed his mastery of Afro beats production on Cover Me featuring Starboy resident disc jockey, Dj Tunez . Wizkid is having fun with the beat , reminiscient of his efforts on the Phantom produced " Master Groove " and Sarz produced " Ghetto youth ", Wizkid focuses more on the vibe and flow rather than lyrical artistry. . This is Afro beats and Wizkid successfully delivered on this particular track ..One for the shrine .
4) Mine ft KelP
Perphaps the best track on the EP , the song offers the same vibe Wizkid delivered on the dokta frabz produced " Joy " . Wizkid showed his lyrical capacity , vocals and lovely flow on this one .. Laid back with a meaningful message and excellent production from KelP , Mine comes off as an instant classic and hit song .. Wizkid will do well to shoot a video of this song if he doesn't decide to go STFOS with the videos .
5) Electric ft London London , Producer of Rema's Bad commando shows he is fast becoming a force to reckon with in terms of music production. The tracks so far shows Wizkid attempting to bring us back to those STFOS vibes .
" Say she bust everyday , she day make man craze "..
This sexual vibe which Baba bolu has termed electric vibe is one for the couples and clubs .. A serious whining song for the ladies and a serious stimulant for the production of babies . A potential hit in the Carribean market too alongside Jam featuring Chronixx.
6) Ease your mind ft KelP
My Personal Favourite ..Kel P once again proves himself a magician . Wizkid goes motivational on this one urging his listeners to take life easy and ease their mind like Mr Eazi eases his mind whenever he is with temi otedola. As usual , the production from KelP is top notch and his input is once again felt on this Afro beats reggae themed project . Wizkid also shows he is fast becoming comfortable with the Afro beats genre , a serious deviation from the pop , Afro pop and rnb vibes which dominated his early days .. a 9/10 for me
7) Thankful ft Blaqjerzee
Okay .. This is the Lamba .. This sounds like the Manya vibe Wizkid gave us with Mutay . A December beer parlour and pepper soup joints Gbedu. Blaqjerzee delivered and Wizkid delivered too.. with a touch of prayer and street slangs , the song is destined to control the streets in a few weeks . The production feels good.
Final Verdict
Wizkid is having fun and catching cruise .. Perphaps following criticisms that trailed his last two offerings , Joro and Ghetto love , Wizkid decides to take us to his STFOS days and show us he is still capable of delivering lyrics and beautifully crafted vibes. The project feels like STFOS part 2 .
Wizkid is experimenting and showing us his versatility as he switches between reggae, Afrobeat , Rnb and some Familiar Carribean vibes .Wizkid is playing safe and little surprise he drops the project under the Starboy imprint. One thing we can't take away is that Wizkid is good and delivers when he wants to .He is also listening to the reviews and critics ..
He wants to know what to give us in his Made in Lagos album hence the release of this project and also to prove a point to critics who are hell bent on questioning his lyrical capacity and dominance in the Afrobeats genre .This project shows that we might never actually Get our pop influenced Wizkid again as he is heavily influneced by afrobeats on the project. Some of the beats sound too similar but Wizkid manages to give a different flavour to each track .
The production ( beats , mixing and mastering ) is top notch but I think the inclusion of Sarz who have been amazing .Wizkid might also need to consider giving us more of the pop tracks we are familiar with as he seemed to have neglected that completely for Afrobeats .
Considering the recent projects and the excellent pen game therein from acts like Peruzzi , Davido, BurnaBoy and fireboydml, Wizkid might need to improve on his pen game if he is hoping to give us something extraordinary and up to the " New " standard on his album even if that will involve getting some writers .
Overall , SoundMan is for the listeners to enjoy while sipping palmwine , on the beach or laid back somewhere chilling with family and loved ones .Nothing serious , just vibes and cruise as we await Made in Lagos .

AbuTwins: Question What is the punishment of not wearing Hijab?
Answer Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. Instead of Reading Naija News i prefer listening to Good Naija Songs Biko ooooo https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Best-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Top-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/New-Naija-Songs.jpg Hijab is a duty ordained and prescribed by Allah The Almighty on women. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {O Prophet Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested…}[33: 59] The Holy Qur'an.
In another Surah (chapter of the Qur'an) Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {…that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husband's sons, their brothers or their brother's sons, or their sister's sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! Turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss. }[24:31].
Therefore, it is imperative on the Muslim men and women to submit to the commands of Allah and His Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) in accordance with the true faith (Iman). Allah The Almighty Says: {It is not fitting for a Believer, men or women, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger, to have any option about their decision: if anyone disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path.}[33:36].
If the woman does not fulfill the duty of Hijab, then she is prone to the punishment and wrath of Allah. However, there is no authority from the Qur'an or Sunnah (sayings of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam)) indicating clearly the type of penalty. Even if it is but a minor penalty, nobody can endure the Hellfire for a moment. The Muslim woman should fear Allah The Almighty and fulfill her obligations towards her Lord. If a woman committed a sin she should repent as quickly as possible before it is too late. Allah knows best.

Islam › Re: Some Beliefs About Death In Islam by VanGun: 12:03pm On Dec 07, 2019 |
Rashduct4luv: Death is inevitable as all humans and Jinns would die. It is something that Allah has decreed for all humans and jinn. Only Allah is far above dying.
Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]; so if you die - would they be eternal? Instead of Reading Naija News i prefer listening to Good Naija Songs Biko ooooo https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Best-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Top-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/New-Naija-Songs.jpg Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned” [al-Anbiyaa’ 21:34-35]
“Indeed, you are to die, and indeed, they are to die” [az-Zumar 39:30].
Al-Bukhaari (7383) and Muslim (2717) narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to say: “…I seek refuge in Your glory – there is no god but You Who will never die, but jinn and men die.”
Our God never dies. Death is one of His creation so a creation should ordinarily be powerless against its creator.
“And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail [in their duties]. Then they His servants are returned to Allah, their true Lord. Unquestionably, His is the judgement, and He is the swiftest in calling to account” [al-An‘aam 6:61-62]
O mankind! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, then verily! We have created you (i.e. Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge i.e. offspring of Adam), then from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood) then from a little lump of flesh, some formed and some unformed (miscarriage), that We may make (it) clear to you (i.e. to show you Our Power and Ability to do what We will). And We cause whom We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed term, then We bring you out as infants, then (give you growth) that you may reach your age of full strength. And among you there is he who dies (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the miserable old age, so that he knows nothing after having known. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down water (rain) on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells and puts forth every lovely kind (of growth). [al-Hajj 22:5]
“And with Him are the keys of the Ghayb (all that is hidden), none knows them but He. And He knows whatever there is in the land and in the sea; not a leaf falls, but He knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record” [al-An’aam 6:59]
“No calamity befalls on the earth or in yourselves but it is inscribed in the Book of Decrees (Al‑Lawh Al‑Mahfooz) before We bring it into existence. Verily, that is easy for Allaah” [al-Hadeed 57:22]
“And you cannot will unless (it be) that Allaah wills the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists)” [al-Takweer 81:29]
“Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine Preordainments of all things before their creation as written in the Book of Decrees Al‑Lawh Al‑Mahfooz)” [al-Qamar 54:49]
Muslim (2653) narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “Allaah wrote down the decrees of creation fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth.” He said: “And His Throne was upon the water.”
From the above verses the following conclusions can be drawn:
1. Adam was made of dust while the offspring of Adam were made of sexual discharge. 2. Man is bound to die at any point in any of the growth stage. (Miscarriage, infancy, adolescence, youth, old age) 3. Allah controls the time of human conception, gestation, birth till death and no one else can do this. 4. Everything happens by the knowledge and will of Allah. |

AutoJoshNG: When a flyover bridge is constructed, there are usually areas around them that are left unutilized. An example of such is the vacant space beneath the flyover. These spaces are often either underutilized or used indiscriminately for parking of vehicles, etc.
These spaces under flyover bridges have immense potential. They can be developed into active space for public activities. For instance, they can be transformed into recreational areas or well-organized car parks. Instead of Reading Naija News i prefer listening to Good Naija Songs Biko ooooo https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Best-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Top-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/New-Naija-Songs.jpg To achieve all these, the area under the flyover has to be illuminated, decorated with theme-based graffiti at certain spaces to create awareness for certain causes, etc.
These spaces can also be used to cultivate some vegetation or greenery. This will contribute to the ecology and environment and acts as a buffer to reduce air pollution as well as contribute to the aesthetics of the street in the day time.
In so many cities around the world, under flyover bridges has been used to achieve different public purposes.
In this article, Autojosh.com compares under some flyover bridges in Dubai, UAE and in Lagos, Nigeria.

LET WHAT BEFELL ORJI UZOR KALU SERVE AS A LESSON TO OTHERS
......and as I warned them many years ago, serve the Zoo come back in shame.
I warned him when he came to see me in Kuje Prison that those illiterate unity begging Alimajiris from the desert don't love him but he wouldn't listen.
I warned him that Fulani caliphate will not rest until they conquer, subdue and enslave the entire East and West because of their sense of inferiority complex, but he wouldn't listen.
I warned him of the pathological hatred these Alimajiris have towards Biafrans (Igbos especially) because our industry and ingenuity expose their mediocrity, but he wasn't having it. He was a committed One Nigeria apologist. I reminded him of what happened to Ken Saro Wiwa who like him believed so much in One Nigeria and ended up being killed by the same Alimajiri he served so dilligently against Biafra, but he wouldn't listen. Instead of Reading Naija News i prefer listening to Good Naija Songs Biko ooooo https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Best-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Top-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/New-Naija-Songs.jpg Today they are picking them off one after the other because they know IPOB won't fight for any Efulefu. If he had known what was to become of him, he would have done exactly what I told him during our meeting, join the nearest IPOB family and support the Biafra restoration project. Isn't it ironic the only thing that will save Orji Uzor Kalu now is the coming of Biafra. Will Dave Umahi, Okezie Ikpeazu, Willie Obiano, Rochas Okorocha learn from this? |

Have been following nairaland since 2012 but fully registered 2015, I know some of you would have gone through what am going through now and each of your advises would be duly observed. Instead of Reading Naija News i prefer listening to Good Naija Songs Biko ooooo https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Best-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Top-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/New-Naija-Songs.jpg We are 3 in our family me my dad, and my elder brother who is also a graduate.
it all started wen I lost my mom to cancer 2016. she was a school teacher in one of the government school in abuja.
After her death we started following up her gratuity from Gov, God willing and thank God we were paid.
We decided to invest the money in schooling, which we decided to build a primary school in PH
I'm from Owerri but I have uncles from rivers state so we had the feelings that river state is a better option for the investement.
At least we have relatives there to show a good place to set up the school.
We went to our uncle's house who happens to be a Lawyer and narrated everything to him concerning a good land to Start up a school.
He told us he had a land for sell, we were happy because we felt he can't scam us.
We went through normal procedures concerning the land he wanted selling to Us.
Sorry not to have mentioned, my uncle came from a very respected and rich family so we handled everything with full assurance.
He then told us that 2 barristers (based in PH) are also involved in the land deal. That they own the land.
Since they were barristers, we consented.
So we paid 5million for two plots.
Though, the area wasn't that developed but they where few houses there, so starting up school there might be profitable
We started building fence and other important things that is ought to be done, in fact, all what we spent would sum up to 1.2million.
In the course of building, someone we don't know came and chase us out of the land, Saying the land belongs to him.
During this period, my dad tried to reach out to my uncle and the other 2 barristers to come and explain things to him but they were no where to be found.
He spent 2 weeks in PH without any sign from them nor results.
This is a year and three months we paid for that land and we haven't step into that land and no straight answers had been given to us.
We trusted him.
What annoys me the most is that he now pick our calls only when he feels like and no straight answer would still be given..
We have been avoiding taking the case to court because we fear it would last longer in court.
He told us to take him anywhere we like, that he will defend himself.
We don't need the land again, we want our money back cause what we have experienced so far is not what we bargained for.
I'm thinking of going to Brekete family (Human Right Radio) in Abuja to seek for solution
Note: My uncle is now based in Abuja but those two lawyers are based in PH.
Please my fellow nairalanders your advise are needed and any comment given would be very much appreciated, cause this totally look like we have been scammed.

brownnikky16: The Women’s Research and Documentation Centre (WORDOC), Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan, declared that the introduction of N50 stamp duty on every transaction above N1,000 by the Federal Government is a way of rubbishing the cashless and financial inclusion policies of the government. Instead of Reading Naija News i prefer listening to Good Naija Songs Biko ooooo https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Best-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Top-Naija-Songs.jpg https://tan.org.ng/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/New-Naija-Songs.jpg Coordinator of WORDOC, Dr. Sharon Omotoso, raised the alarm during a press briefing held at the University of Ibadan.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Nigeria Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS), had in September 2019, issued a circular that stated that a statutory fee of N50 was added to every transaction over N1,000.
Omotoso, while reacting, insisted that the N50 stamp duty was making life difficult for women entrepreneurs and many people had returned to the use of cash that was earlier discouraged because of risks associated with its usage for business transactions.
She placed three demands before the Federal Government, which include: “review the N50 stamp duty to take effect only on transactions from N50,000.
“The Federal Government should withdraw the instruction with immediate effect, pending when the issue will be resolved. In the spirit of democracy. We seek government’s accountability and transparency on the hitherto deducted N50 stamp duty which would have accrued to millions since the policy took effect.
“Payment channel agents charge this stamp duty in every individual transaction.
In a recent survey of retail outlets, there are reports that POS machines in certain filling stations now have an upgrade that automatically charges N50 stamp duty, sometimes with the buyer oblivious to this.
“With this development, Nigerians are collectively decrying this stamp duty charge and many are shunning transaction via point of sale, choosing instead to withdraw bulk money from ATM posts. As people are inclined to carry cash now in defiance to the stamp duty, the prior successful cashless policy in Nigeria is gradually degenerating.
“This is added to the fact that arguably half of Nigeria’s population is unbanked. Along with this, PoS charges are triggering a move from grocery stores and supermarkets.”
A recent survey, according to Omotoso, revealed that the number of inactive terminals in Nigeria increased from 43,320 in January to 131,201 by October 2019.
“Nigeria is a low-income country with one of the highest entrepreneurship rates in the world. It also has one of the highest female entrepreneurship rates in the continent, in terms of their agencies and active business engagements.
“With this, however, comes a need to distinguish between high end and low-end female entrepreneurship. High-end entrepreneurship has a structure that conforms to the formal sector. Low-end entrepreneurship is squarely informal,” she said.
