rainazoe: Those guys reply emails after 10 working days. I even traced my evaluator on LinkedIn and connected just to see if communication can be faster. No way! It still takes her 10 days to reply via email and nothing on LinkedIn. It's crazy but you just have to get used to it. Send some more emails, make calls if u can. Just be on their case till you get ur CPA. Goodluck |

primeson1: Well, first and foremost, you are meant to be a full member of ACCA. That's the whole point. Have you considered using your NysC as experience? If that's not possible, you have to wait till you arrive in Canada. The challenge with that is that the MRA is yet to be renewed for a defined term, eg 5 years, and therefore could be terminated anytime. So even folks like me that may not travel for another year are taking advantage. On a different note, hope you are aware you would need to pay up all outstanding dues with ACCA before they would write to CGA about your current standing. A major advantage for you is that you have your wes report so CPA does not have to evaluate your degree afresh. Just provide them with the Wes report. This part causes a lot of delays but you are definitely past that. Ultimately, the earlier the better. Good luck. |

You know you should be comparing Ghana to So based on one location, one barney, one pure water, one meal, on hangout, one mall, you have easily concluded that Ghana is better than Nigeria? You don't know how big Nigeria is; that is your problem. A whole Naija is what you are comparing to one locality in Ghana. Chai! I'm glad you enjoyed your trip sha but before you can compare, you need to go round this our country first. 43 Likes 2 Shares |

It sounds rude. You didn't have to tell your seniors that their delay is embarrassing to the state. You didn't demonstrate email ethics nor show respect. As someone suggested, either send a rejoinder to all the former recipients apologizing for your tone or send an individual email followed by a call. This kind small thing dey spoil person career o. 1 Like 1 Share |

Leaking that memo was for posterity. He's simply telling the next government, whoever it is, not to hold him responsible for those contracts. Very clever. In Nigeria, you must eat with a long spoon when appointed to such an office. The heroes of today usually become the villains of tomorrow. The way I see him, he understands it's a win win for him. Sack him and he continues his personal business. Keep him and rectify the problem. 1 Like |

KevinDein: My brother you have to place a premium on human life. Yes cultism is bad but our criminal code only punishes actual crime e.g. armed robbery, murder etc. Some military guys have killed these ones and claimed they are cultists. Who will speak for them? Is that all they did? Does being a cultist warrant "shoot on sight"? We have to consider all these things. Above all we have to place value on life. The right thing to do is to apprehend them and prosecute them for any known crime they have committed. After all cultists in Nigeria can be likened to Neo-Nazi members or KKK members in US. As long as they have not committed any crime, they are free to gather. This wanton killing by our military and police men has to stop. 3 Likes |

While i support the notion, i must say the poll is flawed. Majority of those that voted him do not have access to Internet not to talk of voting online. So more reflective poll will go to the streets, especially those in the president's region, to ask if they would like him to resign. I'm sure the answer will be a resounding No. Simply because over there religion trumps everything else, even morals. |

Politics / Re: Osinbajo Orders Security Reinforcements After Communal Violence In Cross River by vascey(m): 6:50pm On Jul 07, 2017 |
Every time the president or governor has to order the security agencies to either investigate an occurrence or mobilise personnel to an area, they indirectly indict themselves and their government for having failed in their duties. The basic responsibility of our leaders is safety of lives and property. The expectation is that they would have set up a system that works so that they don't have to order anyone to do their job. What this really means is that where the president keeps quiet, like the Fulani herdsmen issue, the security agencies will not act, therefore allowing the killing to continue. This is implies that something is only wrong once the governor/president has proclaimed it so. It means they have redefined our Constitution on what is wrong. This is not the Constitution they swore to uphold. So what's the way forward? As the president/governor, they should ensure procedures are seamless so they don't require judgement or intervention for the appropriate response to be effected. Where the head of the responsible agency fails to act, fire the Head, be it Inspector General or commissioner. Take this particular case for example, are you telling me that the Commissioner of Police is not aware of the incident; and if he is aware, he won't act until directed by the president. As a policeman, nobody ought to tell him to uphold order where there is conflict or fish out murderers where people have been killed. If he has done all this and the President is just playing to the gallery, then someone should please tell him that he's just broadcasting the incompetence of his government and all it has put in place. |
