Please I would like to know the answer to this question when you get it . Thanks

Yes that time frame is possible if you are able to confirm your degree on time and also finish the course very quickly.
Yes there is no problem with transferring your CPA to another province. Based on their rules, it actually appears flexible. I'm still in Naija though so maybe someone who has done it can shed more light.

Good morning Beautiful Family,

Thank you to everyone that dropped encouraging words on my previous posts.

Friday 20th July made it 180 days of waiting. After going through immense sadness and pressure due to our lives being on hold; I did the folowing and I am so much happier.

1) We took out 1m from our treasury bills.
2) We paid for house rent - Rent was going to be due in August and we had planned to stay with family for few weeks before travelling. Sadly, this plan did not work out as we are yet to get PPR.
3) We refurbished my car (body works & AC) and hubby is using it for uber starting today. He has also intensified job search. (We had earlier sold hubby's car for POF and we were both just managing mine)
4) I went shopping for my kids. Their shoes, cloths and all were all worn out (Like seriously worn out with holes, I had been patching since December last year). But we kept managing as all money were utilised to pursue this canny dream and we kept hoping that PPR is close, and we will shop when we get to canny.
5) We went on a daycation to lacampaigne Tropicana.
6)I bought enough food stuffs in the house, my daughter said, 'Arh mummy finally chicken'.
7) If we get an ADR for updated POF, hopefully hubby gets 25% of his pension before then, but if not we hope to quickly exchange/Sell the car for cash at CAR 45.

I am so much at peace now and not under any stress again. London VISA office, you can't give me high blood pressure!

It is well with you. Life is about the journey, so be at peace.

The governor did not even bother to attend. Very good.
It's not every time they should be bothered about one event or another.
Stay in your state and work.

I'm new here...Thanks for this thread so far. My situation right now is that, my agent and i had a discussion on Canadian permanent residence for my husband, daughter and i, he said he would do it for 3.5 and we started the process, after a year and half i got a call from him for biometrics, we went to Lagos for biometrics, but when the visa came out, it was mine that got approved and guess what I got? Visitor's visa. The issue now is that my husband and daughter weren't given. He promised to do it and ask my husband to come for another biometrics but He's requesting for 3.5 million for visitor's visa. I'm think in of going to canada first and if there's a way I can legally stay in the country and bring my husband and daughter legally. OR should I wait for him to do my hubby's own, then go together and claim asylum? Pls I really need a useful advice right now, I'm seriously in a dilemma

First of all, gather all the details and evidence of the transaction and make a police report against this agent because he has duped you.
The purpose is not to pursue the case but to have evidence to submit to CIC.
You are better off starting the process afresh on your own. The problem is that this guy may have submitted false info on your behalf and any application you submit now may introduce contradictory information. This is where the police report comes in.
In addition, I will advise when you apply with your correct details, you should write a detailed LOE (Letter of Explanation) and attach all the evidence of you have. That may just be the only way for you to get out of this.
You are actually caught between full disclosure in your application or just applying afresh and providing the information when they ask. I would go with full disclosure.
Forget Asylum. You will regret it.

Bon Courage

Hello house, please my wife Is the primary applicant to CANADA EE. she finished all her exams in acca 3 years ago. But is yet to complete ethics module and PER. She also has completed Ican. my question is, can she send her (acca) transcript to WES for evaluation? If she does send it, will it reduce her rating compared to Canadian educational system since she is yet to finish properly?
Or better still just apply with ican then add her acca certification later.

As long as she is in good standing, they will give her the evaluation. Go ahead, she has no worries.

Developed economies are legalizing weed and making trillions from it (e.g. Canada)

Our clueless government is still dancing to the tunes of Tobacco companies and their owners (BAT and Phillip Morris).

Please tell me, what is the difference between Shisha and cigarette? They are all dangerous to health. Is it because the government is not earning as much revenue from Shisha? They can as well ban cigars, tobacco pipes, e-cigarettes etc.

Young ones reading please smokers are liable to die young. Don't indulge in any smoking habit because it doesn't help you in the short and long term. Those who indulge regret it and would gladly stop if it were easy.

You cant evaluate an incomplete degree. Either evaluate only your B.sc or wait to complete your masters.

PhDAdmission19 You can evaluate incomplete degree. It's all about Canadian equivalence of the completed course work. Contact WES and be sure your school will send your transcript.

I don't know about CPA Alberta but Ontario and BC are currently processing.

The first step is to mail either office. I favor Ontario because most people have testified they are quite responsive unlike BC. I would write from the BC perspective cos I used them.

Your friend has to either have his transcript ready or do a course by course evaluation WES or any evaluation body. I used my transcript because it was cheaper. The CPA body will send a form to fill and also request ACCA letter of good standing. This can be gotten via email to ACCA.

He will also have to pass an online exam on the overview of CA law and tax which is easy peasy but expensive (CAD537 tax incl).

Once they are satisfied, he send over notarised copied of two IDs and wait for finance dept to tell him the cost of membership. Mine is$965 (excluding tax) because I am still in Nigeria.

Vcole I advise you to use cpa Ontario. Cpa BC is the slowest corporate body I've ever encountered. They respond to emails after 2-4 weeks. Considering that there will be several correspondences, their response time could add 3-4 months to the process time.

As if the tension of waiting for PPR or CPOC abi na CPCO or CPCL no dey enough this misrepresentation story by @doppler06 just dey disturb me. Abeg make una helep me look into this mata na. Ejor... Biko nu. undecided Barely sleep 5 hours daily since ghost update, now this.

Well, you should have included them in your personal history even though they were ongoing as at the time you applied. Personally, I don't think they are material omissions. It may have been seen as misrepresentation if it were not a distance learning course and would have required a PCC. You may choose to leave the information or update your application with evidence of award showing the date your certificates or result were awarded. I really don't think it's something to worry about too much. Seniors in the house may have something to add.

So some level of immorality is okay but some are not? Abeg free the guy ooo.. Moreso, someone said the woman in question is his Aunt. You would have to provide better evidence than a couple of pictures. And why make a case for Madam Nina? She left cheated on her beloved Collins on live tv.

Hey Fam, please help out. I've just been invited to Accra for interview to verify my employment details. Asked to come with employment letter, payslips and account statement showing salary inflows. Who has been invited previously? What was the experience like? Will these documents be retained for verification? What do I expect? Please help a sister.

First of all, congrats because you are almost there.
Did you not include these things in the first place?
Though I have not been in your shoes but I advise you to go with the following items:

1. Payslips
2. copy of ID card
3. Excel document showing net pay on the payslip reconciled to date remittance was made in your salary account .
4. Company registration document and tax clearance if you can get it.
5. Pension statement showing contribution made in payslip
6. If your company is a contractor, also go with a copy of the purchase order or contract from customers.
7. If possible, also obtain letter of introduction from your employer.
8. Your HMO ID card which should show your employer's name

With these documents (or most of them), you should be able to prove your employment beyond doubt.

Good luck.

I never reach Canada ooo, but from everything i have seen online, the Job pay, Job types, CPA is major deal, its like the key to the high paying jobs, an average of $70k per annum with you having CPA....its so painful that i cant get CPA with my ICAN certificate and all cash has been tied up in this Proof of Funds drama, i would have quickly done ACCA to ease my wahala. you can check INDEED.CA for salary of CPA

Thank you. I had seen all that too but was interested in finding out if there are some true life examples especially for immigrants.
I do know that for a country with population of less than 40 million, they do have a lot of CPAs- about 130k. In comparison, ACCA has a global membership of about 200k chartered accountants.

I would advise Ontario, based on the large availability of jobs there, start ypur ACCA conversion immediately cos it can take a bit of time, Audit and Financial analyst jobs are quite easy to come by, check Linkedin and your will be shocked at the quantity. Finally, Pray for divine favour

Can you weigh in on the impact of this CPA certification? I have been on mine for a while but sometimes I am not sure it's going to pay off. Does it really translate to numbers or the kind of position you can get. Do you have an example of someone who got a better role after the conversion?

Also i have my sealed transcript with me but it was addressed to my university post graduate department, can I still use it?

Your response will be very much appreciated. Thanks

Yes you can use statement of result. No you can't send transcript addressed to another organization.
