What do you mean by supreme law of the federation? Is that not the constitution? So what then is absolute law. What does absolute law mean? Because no law is absolute, even the constitution can be changed.

The criminalization of homosexuality was done by the national assembly and not the constitution, it can be reversed by the courts.


The states can argue that marijuana does not fall under Narcotics, just like some do not see caffeine, codeine and nicotine as Narcotics.

Currently, 9 states in the US has legalized marijuana. The case would be settled at the supreme Court.


Please go back to school and take basic law course, even for just a semester.

it is because it is not in accordance with our cultural norms and value. Our values and custom are at the risk of collapsing . It is government right to protect the customary right of the people from collapsing.as it the right of the solders for protecting their cantoment from intruders.


Yes I agree an imprisonment might be too brutish . A rehabilitation home will be better. I am not a supporter of imprisonment for any criminal offence at all, not just gay . But that is just my own opinion not the decision of the federation.

There is a way law are made in Nigeria. It involve 2 stages in Nigeria. I will itemize and briefly explain this processes in seriatim.

1st Stage: The first stage is the identification of the need for a bill. 2nd Stage: The second stage is divided into 5 which are from 1st Reading to the last reading .which is assent by the President: A bill does not become law until the President signs it. The President has thirty (30) days to sign a bill sent to him/her by the National Assembly. However, the National Assembly is empowered by the Constitution to overrule the veto of the President. If, after 30 days, the President refuses to sign the bill and the National Assembly is not in support of the President's amendments, the two Chambers can recall the bill and re-pass it. If the bill is passed in the form it was sent to the President by two-third majority vote in both Chambers, the bill automatically becomes a law even without the signature of the President.


This emphasis that the law in Nigeria is consider by the majority interest and not minority interest.

You guys need to use your Google sometimes. The Nigeria constitution ( federal constitution)is hold as more supreme to any state law. And any law of the state must be in harmony with it as it is the most respectable law of the federation.

For example so many state like California in the USA for example legalized marijuana but it violate the constitutional law of the federation.and by that the USA in contrast supremely rules against marijuana.

what is this from presidential aspirant. Homosexuality or lesbianism is a crime as far as Nigeria constitution is concern. "" crime simply means breach of constitutional rules and regulations "". Therefore anyone who fall a victim is a criminal and shall be subjected to face the wrath of the law as it situated in Nigeria constitution.

Am aware some part of the world do not consider it as crime but in our sovereignty state ( Nigeria) it is labelled a crime. Unless it is review.

Church enterprenurer are smart, building industry is not a good idea for the church since it will raise the risk of being tax and monitor financially by the government. Rather the church will prefer to establish more branches as it is more lucrative.

why?

Because it requires minimum capital with zero need for tax payment but has a multi billion naira potential;

How?

because the church positions itself as an entity which appears to have in high supply of what the society truly demands ;Nigeria church understand what the society demand and it is playing on it to maximise the benefit.

what does the society demand? => ‘Security’. So from financial security to medical security, afterlife security etc is more rewarding to them than building industry.

They church enterprenurer are business men with great marketing skills and with a good sense of identify less risk and high profit bustness potentials .

Am interested in this particular point...Absolutely, being in the military does not make you any more trained than the average person. That's one of the big misconceptions out there. The military's greatest strength is working as a team in war. They spend a lot of time gathering intelligence and completing rather boring missions.There's nothing special about a solder in terms of combat. They don't even train in martial arts(apart from the use of weapon) as much as some civilian does. There's a bunch of cases where solders have lost against average civilians in fights. At least i personally witness two when I was at home. One in Lagos and another in ibadan..... during the Niger delta crises . They are so many reported cases how some were beaten to stupor by the militant boys....
