budaatum:lol, and nether can i the dady suggest to my son if the food taken by me only is enough for both of us. that will be crazy |
fireback:BBC is a reputable organization. A well established broadcasting industry of such character will prefer to be honest rather than selling out fake news for mere cheap publicity. |
Mzansian:hehee, this time around i will not be writting plenty, i will simply recommend a book for you to learn, i see you are founding it hard to be educated online, maybe manual process will break the YOKE, The book is called Wat nou, Suid-Afrika? in English, it is translated What now, South Africa? written by Theuns Eloff. it should not be more than 100 rand so get that piece of academic paper to change your life. i am matured enough to be comparing online statistics with you, i am more abreast with the subject, so i am presenting the content to you. it is now left for you to prove me wrong by either going to your national library or visiting online links like what you are doing now . it is one way of the way i am using to educate you. Nigeria wealth is not in oil but in her people. that is why many of her citizens are representing her in various disciple home and abroad. (i am aware your countries has a lot of american expatriate and foreign national in her medicine, pharmacy and diamond industry) A new report suggest that Nigerian immigrant in the USA are the most educated African immigrant, i am sure UK will not be left out. in Nigeria There is a big chunks of people with qualifications in just more than one discipline with MBAs and PHDs! so Many citizens are qualified in the best universities around the world. education is in Nigerians DNA. You can start almost any business of your choice or industry in NIGERIA.maybe investors would one day discover the wealth of this nation which is not in oil but in human capital. The true wealth and progress of Nigeria is its extraordinary human capital, and passion for education. Unleash that and no one can stop her! not the so called social welfare that is simply an academic exercise. SO MANY BLACK SOUTH AFRICANS ARE POOR FINANCIALLY AND INTELLECTUALLY. i hope you will also go online like you did earlier to buttress this point friend. i need to put my pen down here. |
Mzansian:My SA friend is now speaking from emotions instead of giving out fact, i am more mentally balance to be disturbed by your insult and gutter language. i will still educate you here again like i did earlier. you see you do not raise a point apart from bringing in personal attack and unnecessary defend. i assume you own a university degree, so act like an intellectual. Before i go on educating you about the benefit that comes along for being a Nigerian. let me quickly summarize why your country SA IS NOT IN ANYWAY BETTER AND SHE IS STILL REGARD AS A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY. your country SA is a country of contrast- very rich and very poor, very urban and very rural.in fact the most unequal country in the whole world is SA. The gap between the poor and the rich is of extreme in margin despite government initiative. Deals with this problem first and likewise other problems i am listing here The use of Internet is not accessible to everyone, Technology like a simple computer is not accessible to everyone neither do some of you know how to use them.Electricity Load shedding at random, Water is cut at random, Dirt roads are found in a lot of places.Shacks make a very large community.Learning is held in very poor conditions and classrooms are not good enough for people to be in. let your corrupt leader solve this one first, then i will consider them a step ahead of NIGERIA. Now let me educate you about the most populous black country in the world . Nigeria. my friend ask me what is the benefit of being a Nigerian? Being a NIGERIAN, we entitled you to be born in land of massive opportunity, despite the inadequacy of the government and corruption in the country, the margin of the rich and poor is not as extreme like that of SA but it is visible, there are abundant opportunity to kick start in NIGERIA that has been overused in SA . in NIGERIA , Her citizens would fare better if it fully utilizes its full potential in terms of agriculture, mining, forestry, tourism etc…all of which are currently virtually untapped, but have huge and massive potential. Not only would Nigeria beat SA, but it would rise to the top economies of the world. so the hope of a good leadership to annexed this potential is what every Nigeria is looking forward to. well,it is easy to mistake the lack of infrastructure in Nigeria for lack of development.(THOUGH THERE IS MASSIVE INFRASTRUCTURE GOING ON) I will be the last person to say Nigeria is not developed , not because I am a Nigerian but because I understand certain thing. Although i agree it is not yet a first world country, but not lesser to south Africa, they are many report out there suggesting that the west could be dependent more on Nigeria and her citizens than Nigeria and are citizens depend on them. NIGERIA IS EVEN A BIG AID DONNER TO SOME AFRICA COUNTRIES.just a certain individual in Nigeria by the name jimoh ibrahim paid a whole civil servant of Sao tome principle salary when the country went broke. there are countries that have only one or no power plant serving the entire Nation but Nigeria has lots. It is nearly impossible to count the number of companies in Port Harcourt, Lagos and nnewi or ogun state. There are software startups like andela and testing companies like Tezza and this companies are growing day by by day. Now the problem, The population is about 180 million so the country needs far more industries , far more power plants far more roads, bridges and building to feel developed. so Nigeria problem is bigger than yours due to her size in population and land area. just like how china/india problem is bigger than NIGERIA. BUT When a country accounts for the richest set of people in Africa then NIGERIA is great. Nigeria is one of the few countries you can live to become richer than PHD holder even if you are a university drop out.i am not exaggerating , i know what am saying. the potential is just there. NIGERIANS spent close to 1000 dollars just to visit south Africa excluding BTA, that should be about 14,000 rands according to my rough estimation. that is a lot of cash to south Africans. this money is made in NIGERIA. and the potential of getting such amount by south africans themselves is very slim(especially among blacks) NIGERIANS CITIZENS ARE ADVENTUROUS, you will find them almost in every places. even Somalia or Iraq. it is not always about the value in the country, it is about the human instinct and the cultural value of survival that is spread in the country.'' until you live your comfort zone, you will never know the meaning of life''. Many of you guys do not realize Nigeria is actually moving forward, albeit slowly. People are beginning to ask questions, people are beginning to get restless, more and more people are beginning to get educated on what is happening in the government. the election system is now more credible than it was, Eventually, more people are gaining enough interest in the politics of Nigeria. people are now demanding for accountability, the wish to actually vote out all the bad leaders and vote in competent and well educated leaders into power is now the news of the day. as you can see here on the political section of nairaland. this attitude will eventually lead to emergence of competent people, and this set of PEOPLE will start running for political offices, instead of leaving it to misfits. Nigeria will get there eventually, maybe before you though. this is not just hope, it is the tenacity that hold every right thinking minded Nigerians. AS you can see, i do not mention cosmetic or fancy ceremonial project that you accolade with south Africa here, i gave a practical response to your question. what is the use of social welfare if it is not affecting the lives of the blacks in SA, it is this not a shame or political disgrace. |
sufferNsmiling:some of you guys are so ignorant to the extent that you can not fathom how debt can be beneficial, let me tell you The U.S. debt to China is $1.115 trillion, as of October 2016. That's 29 percent of the $3.841 trillion in Treasury bills, notes, and bonds held by foreign countries. The rest of the $19.9 trillion debt is owned by either the American people or by the U.S. government itself. Dec 22, 2016” ( from USA statistical bureau)this also translate that USA will have to sell the new York to pay that debt if i am going by your analogy. but let me enlighten you on economics works . debt is not taken or given arbitrarily. There are terms of contract stating interest rate conditions, debt service arrangements, maturity conditions, etc. China cannot demand Nigeria to pay its debt to it at once simply because it would be violating its contractual agreement. If it makes such a demand, it would be a legal and diplomatic matter which Nigeria would be sure to win. IF you want to know how much South Africa is owing all other country not even china alone at least some Africa countries are owing NIGERIA . BUT YOUR COUNTRY SOUTH AFRICA IS OWING MORE DEBT. VISIT THIS LINKS https://tradingeconomics.com/country-list/external-debt?continent=africa WHEN IT COMES TO DEBT NIGERIA IS SAFE THAN SOUTH AFRICA |
this is true i guess |
Iliveforme:there is nothing like nothingness. this is a fallacy. anyway reflect on my post , it is better than fighting it. death is not nothingness, it is a from of cycle, i have given you my scientific backup and the logical reasons. it is left for you to comprehend. what is your old moniker, i am suspecting you. |
Iliveforme:Your personality is the ''i'' within you, it is what does not break even if everything breaks. supposing a person loses one of his limbs, he still says "I am studying" and "I am reading a poem" and never says" three-quarters of me is studying" or" "three-quarters of me is reading poem". No person can divide his personality and nature into different parts. the real you is your personality and not the matter you own as a body. i am not superstitious so do not expect that from me to convince you with what its not real. you have never lost your real you for once. have you try to go thru the thread i posted. |
Iliveforme:it is because death itself is part of life, but life itself is an ongoing cycle which death play its role.. All material and immaterial of our world have a shelf life. From people to plastic, all things break down over time.Your phone will rusts. house cement will cracks and crumbles. Window get thinner from wind and particles. Water becomes stagnant. Leaves fall and rot.All of these things (even plastic) provide a life cycle to something new. Oxidized metals enrich soil. Cement crumbling becomes sand and rocks that provide shelter to smaller animals. Glass breaking down also gradually converts back into sand. Plastic eventually breaks back down into petrochemicals that sink back into the ground and eventually becomes what it began as again. our body and that of the animals turn into food for other animals and probably enriched the soil as manure There is a life cycle to everything. The matter you are composed of could have been countless other things before you. philosophically i see death like a kettle that contain water on heat but get evaporated into the atmosphere after a lot of pressure. the water did not die nor die off but evolve into another sphere to come in form of rain or so. science says the water that has been on earth over a billion years ago , it is the same water with us, it is not decreasing nor increasing. so the water you took and urinate out this morning did not go anywhere or the one you use in bathing is also so much around. when will die, our body dies off but our personality remain just like that of water. |

Mzansian:i will educate you about your country even if you refuse to see her backwardness. your country SOUTH Africa is the only country in Africa where being black skin is a disgrace and shame, It is a serious problem when you are black in SA. in your country It is hard to break the poverty chain if you are black and somehow you have to have your head above the water. Unemployment is real and BEE that is initiated by government do not cover you all, but mostly Indians and corrupt blacks. Education is still very poor for an average black person in South Africa. your schools are either under a tree / just like we have it in NIGERIA NORTH. The Locations are no better because even though they may a have a good structure, the education and dedications of your so called teachers and material given are poor in comparison. your government takes out monies from capital expenditure every year or so for school material and give it to criminals hiding under BBE companies. Every time this issue is raised there will be some racial cloud in South Africa and every one will be destructed and another year will pass. No one pays, but you the black child. at least NIGERIA govt are proud in this regard. The young people among you guys that finished high school and some with college diploma end up in offices as receptionists or doing some job like call centre agents. Unfortunately the number of Indian call centre agents is larger than that of black agents, English again becomes a problem. it is common to see black in south africa unable to express himself or herself in english language. what make your case difference from NIGERIA student? even in your university level(with availability of bursaries)fewer blacks are graduating in comparison with Indians. the colored were favored by the apartheid when compared to the blacks, yet today your BEE initiative says an Indian and Chinese are classified as black, so most of the businesses and jobs go there, and the black carries the lazy label while doing menial work at Shoprite Checkers. The Chinese are buying you out economically and it seems nobody wants to admit that as a problem in your country. foreigners are taking over you job and it seems you care not at least you are given unemployment benefit to shut up. Chinese are building cities across your country, importing their own people to do work and buying their way into the few mineral resources you got left. They are doing what previous colonial forces have done to you and they have no qualms stripping you bare and flooding your market with cheap plastic goods. you think that is OK. NIGERIA in this position is not in anyway better but it has not gotten to this stage. Even with your over-hype standard of living and your ballon minimum wage you intend to compare with Nigeria naira, there is a problem with your economy, there is a perfect storm brewing between your government and the banks - government is overtaxing the rapidly shrinking middle class because of this minimum wage(tell us how much is your minimum tax) whilst your banks are selling them more and more credit to sustain what is essentially average lifestyles. so many business and government are broke to the extent that their may not be enough money to pay taxes or debts owing which will lead to the destruction of the main stream of income for government. how will you guys not kill and murder foreigner if it continue just like this. south Africa is not working simple..... America and Sweden are technological advance country, their means of income is not base on local mining unlike your country and Nigeria, the means of income is base on putting their brain to work. until your country reach that stage, then she can be qualify to be called a first world country. beside your few 11 eleven tribes are not in harmony as expected. HEll NO, I CANNOT LIVE IN YOUR COUNTRY EXCEPT FOR JUST VISITING. I LIVE IN WHERE YOU ARE DREAMING OFF. for me to work in Africa, i will rather stay in my own country. |
XhosaNostra:i am a Nigeria from osun state while my mom is a Ghanaian. but currently living in erding (west Germany). |
XhosaNostra:that is fair enough dear, i love your people a lot because most of you still keep to your own local culture.(i am a traditionalist) instead of totally embracing foreign ideology like my people who sees their culture as something outdated or satanic. are you from Soweto? |
0monnak0da:XhosaNostra can you see how this guy is educating his own fellow country men instead of attacking others. |
XhosaNostra:i see, so why do you not educate the ignorance among them instead of drying the same dirty cloth in public. |
XhosaNostra:lol |
XhosaNostra:i will dear, but do not throw stone if you live in a glass house. your country is not in anyway better. it is like a pot calling kettle black. |
XhosaNostra:Stop bashing NIGERIA, south Africa is of no difference, she is still a third world country like all other africa countries, you need to deal with your growing unemployment and rising tribalism among your few tribe that is not even more than 11. you can denied the silent inter tribal war that exist between xhosa and zulu people . Let me tell you the inconvenient truth about your over hyped standard of living. If your government keeps crutching the individuals in your country, they become fully dependent on those benefits. And it will make them a jack ass. there will be no creativity, forieng skills will be the order of the day, citizens of other country will take the job that is meant for you . in a practical opinion, the best way to combat poverty or foster development is to utilize that huge junk of government expenditure to develop the country and create jobs which Nigeria govt is currently doing but not enough instead of dishing out unemployment benefits the way South Africa govt is managing your economy. It is sustainable, effective and the most probable way to increase the standard of living in a country and not the usual pay cut giving to non employed. it is unrealistic. Do not forget this proverb“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime” your biggest problem it is not even xenophobic or tribalism as i put earlier ,it is the illness that came with entitlement. you Black youths feel entitled to get everything for free, and by that you are willing to cause murder and mayhem to get it. White people feel entitled to the enjoyment and use of the infrastructure “they built” and consequently drive like maniacs, steal from your government (and each other) and happily point fingers to the ANC(your main political party) as the cause of all corruption whilst happily ripping the public off with overpriced goods and services. Entitlement is at the root of the implosion of the rule of law in your country and it is eating away at the good will of your people. NIGERIA HAS her own problem too. but NIGERIA current policy is somehow a blessing in disguise. Nigerians citizens are business minded, individual jobs are created, in fact Nigeria may be the next china. we all have our problems. i read a sarcasm post online sometimes last year when your minister for human settlement says she will arrest anybody responsible for tornado(natural disaster) lol, i wonder if the minister is in anyway educated. or just wanted to live in primitive life. |
perfectgen:Both country are not doing well economically, one rely heavily on oil that is currently staggering at the world market and the other rely heavily on borrowing to finance her capital expenditure. but unfortunately one of them is speeding up so fast and it might reached the first class world earlier before the former due to peace and stability. |
JeffreyJames:Ghana do not use state, Ghana use region. Ghana can still be proud of Takoradi the capital city of the western region(oil city like rivers state capital )Ghana can still be proud of cape coast, capital city of central region (their former national capital, not too much commercial but very attractive to tourism just like calabar) and likewise Tamali, the capital city of the northern region( this region is the largest in Ghana out of their ten region, it is surely bigger than bayelsa and some few state in NIGERIA. BUT IN HONESTLY KOFORIDUA , the capital city of eastern region is my most prefer choice of them all. this region has another city called eburi , it is just like jos in Nigeria when it comes to whether. Ghana and Nigeria still have a long way to go but the former is doing better that the letter. |
CSTR1002:This is not always true, Germany is far bigger than UK, France and Australia, yet she still enjoy a better by far social economy than those countries i made mention, even Scandinavian country such as Denmark will never compare herself with Germany. it is not about population at times, it is about government policy and availability of the will power. Ghana is doing well in this regard at least compare to Nigeria. i only pray Nigeria passport will not become useless if this violence and herdsmen attack did not stop. if USA can denied the highest office of Somalia (the president) to attend just a conference due to current situation of the country, how much more its citizens. this same rules can also be extend to Nigeria that is currently following the footstep of Somalia. western power will never want to be associate with a clueless country. |
Emmanystone:you are not ready to learn, let me know when you make up your mind. it is very dangerous to argue with someone who possess zero knowledge of the argument. it is called blind argument. |
[quote author=Emmanystone post=66306543] Like i said, we all have ancestors. They are the 'Spirits' of the departed forefathers. The problem begins when you begin to ascribe to them powers which they didn't have while alive. When you begin to offer sacrifices to them, when you begin to adulate and Revere them. When you begin to appease them hoping or asking them to bless your land with this and that. Evoking them to do this or that for you.they are not spirit of the departed forefathers, they are memory of the the departed forefathers ,No power is given to them , it is absolutely wrong information you have learn about true ATR. It is imperative you learn ATR before you attack it, you do not attack the idealogy you knew nothing about, it is called blasphemy. our Ancestors do not make plans to helps us unlike those of you Christianized thinkers waiting on a spook savior, It is the Living that must make the plans. The ancestor role is only to help us carry out the plans we have devised. Only Egu (revered ancestors) can do this; they are distinct from just from any dead person When you venerate their memory, you tap the will and the the power to positively help you. However, if you are venerating cross like you did yesterday for good Friday who was unworthy of being ancestor since he belong to another race, you will introduce negativity in your live. Such an unworthy ancestors will only want to continue their unworthiness. and you will find yourself in a situation like Nigeria people that often celebrate any ancestor (worthy or unworthy) and that is part of the reason they wreck havoc in the country. They venerate character like Jesus and Muhammad and then you should wonder why NIGERIA is so addicted in sending negative signal to the world. The modern Africans' rejection of their own ancestor and the embrace of worthless ancestor, is a major reason Blacks are in a downward spiral to self-destruction. so Let us suck on the tit of the ancestor and we will have all the nourishment we need to achieve all our ambitions. Have you asked yourself this question? What powers did these forefathers possessed as humans while alive, and where did they all of a sudden get the powers you ascribe to them now that they are dead?it is not about any magical power as you inclined, it is about the legacy this ancestor pass in us, not all ancestors are worthy to be venerated, only those who pass the true legacy are worthy. just like the way our country still remember someone like awolowo and azikwe and pay less attention to someone like abacha. Putting it clearly; 'what powers do you have now while alive, to be placed in a position of a god when you die? When you die, you'll become a forefather, and the living will begin to pour libation, calling on you for this and or that. How will you come about the power they will ascribe to you? Do the dead possess power at death?you are wrong again, ancestors are not equal to GOD, true ancestors are simply heroes who have impact positively in their lifetime before they pass away, i will only become a true ancestor worthy of veneration if i pass good legacy like that of the people of the past. my remembrance will awaken positiveness in them. the legacy of ojukwu is still well emphasized in igbo land. Only Christianity exposes satan that is why he hates Christianity with venom. But for Christianity, satan will keep men in perpetual bondage of darkness. Demons/fallen angels have been masquerading as gods to men in all the cultures of men and in different ages. Only the light of the gospel reveals who and what they truly are.i am not interested in attacking Christianity, even if you you found it fit to attack my faith due to your ignorance. i will only ask you a question. prove the evidence of Christianity beyond the light of the gospel. the light of the gospel is base on the written hands of men so it is not infallible. Demons/familiar spirits possessed our forefathers just like they possess the pagans now, after their dead, these demons departs from the hosts, taking another body of even a baby in the womb as host, when that child is born, the memories of the old man who had been long dead gets downloaded into the new child, and the child will begin to say things grandpa did. because you don't know what happened, you call it 'reincarnation'. Lies. Satanic antics to keep you bound. give me proof not assumptions, i have provided both logical and scientific explanation of reincarnation on my own created topic, go thru it. you are just being unnecessarily ignorant , if i can say. you believe it bcus your bible said it or because your pastor confirm it. The Spirits parading as forefathers are demons/familiar spirits. Our forefathers never possessed special powers while alive, no one gave them powers at deaththey possess legacy which they pass to us that venerate them, it is not about magical power that your bible said jews ancestor possess. Mandela, Thomas Jefferson, Margrethe of the UK are all respective heroes of their time and the nations they represent still venerate them till today They are demons/fallen angels/familiar spirits sir. It has nothing to do with morphology (words). It has everything to do with their mode of operations. How they act.this is just a baseless assumption without proof. i do not follow blindly Bad reference. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Daniel, David etc are our ancestors, yes. The question remains, what special powers did they possesses on their own to put them in the place of gods at death?they are not my ancestors, they are are for the Jews, and they can only be your ancestor if you are of Jewish origin or family, bible ascribe supernatural to their feet, how true it is i do not know. at least Moses was recorded to divide the red sea. that is special power. 1. Do the Jews and Christians ascribe powers to these ancestors? No.i have answer your postulation above, but let me ask you a question what is culture, define it? you have forgotten the ritual practices in the bible.the splitting of bird bloods and the rest. The Jew's ancestors are not gods to them pls.yes just like our ancestor are not the sole creator Again, it's not the same. What your ancestors are to you, is worlds apart from what the ancestor are to the Jews.i am so tired of replying to you long epistle, there is too much misinformation on your part, but i will end up with a wisdom verse from odu ifa , the scriptures reference of the Yoruba, the Odu Ifa: Ogbe Rosun B'o ba se wipe ti Ifa l'a ba ngbo, A ba pe bi ara iwaju ti pe. B'o ba se wipe ti Orunmila l'a ba n to lehin, A ba dagba bi ara igbahun-igbahun. "If we would listen to the teachings of Ifa, we would endure like our ancestors endured. If we follow the teachings of Orunmila we would become reverred elders like the ancients." ALL i can feel from you reply is the presence of brainwashing. stop attacking what you do not know. ask question instead. |
budaatum:o ni oruko ti won pe iru won |
Emmanystone:Then you do not know what ancestors means literally, ancestor simply means the descendant that ones can trace his or her origin to or the line of relation in which ones belong, it is synonymous to word like forefather , predecessor , progenitor or antecedent while demons simply means an evil spirit or malevolent being that punish or torment human at least in a christian perspective, it is synonymous to devil or fallen angel. how do you draw similarities between these two words that are far apart? it seems you have gotten the opposite knowledge of true traditional religion. TO the Jews Moses, Abraham, Jacob are their ancestor and they easily trace their lineage through them.so venerating the ancestor to us the traditionalist is an expensive usefulness of time just like how it is to the Jews, when venerating the memory of their own ancestors like Abraham, Moses and so on. Our ancestors are part of us. They are there to remind us where we came from and where we should go in the future. We can freely express ourselves today because of what they have accomplished in the past, so why not show them some respect by venerating them just like the Jews did to their own ancestor instead of calling them names that do not belong to them. YOU ARE DISRESPECTING YOUR FOREFATHERS . |
Emmanystone:Do you understand what ancestor literally mean? |
Superhumanist why do you not create a thread that will address humanity as your moniker suggest instead of looking forward to downgrade religion, they are good topic out there. for example, abortion, poverty, illiteracy and so many more. |
Goodyshoes:The op will not understand any amount of logical explanation presented forward if he does not follow his line of reasoning, he is very close minded and most of the atheist here too. anyway i will try and do justice to the question, i pass it by yesterday. the op is looking at it from materialistic point of view, even if we are going to go by the op logic , he should understand that almost every object be it seen and the one that are not normally visible to the eyes like air and magnetic wave can be divided. However the ̓ I ̓ within every person cannot be divided and so it must be immaterial. for example if a person loses one of his limbs, he still says "I am studying" and "I am reading a poem" and never says" three-quarters of me is studying" or" "three-quarters of me is reading poem". No person can divide his personality and nature into different parts, but all material beings are dividable in some manner. Therefore the personality and nature of a person, which means your soul is your personality, so your essence is you as a person and this soul(personality) cannot be material. now that the logic side of it had been trashed down, lets look at the scientific part, A very famous British physicist Roger Penrose put forward a vision of a universe, he acclaimed that the universe is composed of three independently existing worlds which is the mathematics, the material world and human consciousness. As Penrose acknowledged, it was a complete puzzle to him how the three interacted with one another outside the ability of any scientific or other conventionally rational model. How can physical atoms and molecules, for example, create something that exists in a separate domain that has no physical existence: human consciousness? It is a mystery that lies beyond science.so when it comes to human consciousness , the basis of the soul concept, science is still in juvenile stage. however, the very little scientific information available seems to support soul existence. |
op Do you know the meaning of university college? |

. That's why there was a thread here in foreign affairs with people of Cape Town queuing for water , they are the most affected . This has nothing to do with incompetence or lack of infrastructure, Cape Town still remains the best city in Africa even with that problem
.
