MaxInDHouse: Ọmọ you like blind arguments and when you're corrected you resort to insuts and abusive speeches but that won't stop me from correcting you! See yourself. There is no insult in any of my response here but if you obviously see insults, then that clearly proves your conscience is dealing with you already. MaxInDHouse: The scriptures say the covenant differ:.. I did not say, it did not say so. |

Dantedasz: Here lies the problem of organised religion .
How can a person with cognition compare REAL physical things like terrorism, prison and motor accidents to... See proof of your condemnation. Children do not fear these real things you say, but guilty people must fear. |

Dantedasz: It beats me how someone whose life is filled up with fear of hell fire demons, spirits, talking snakes and talking donkeys can find peace, love and joy? The weight that religion places on your head can never give you joy. It only fills you with fear and trepidation of offending your god and his uncountable dos and donts. In the end you will sadly find out it was all in vain and like a mirage, non existent! Joy unspeakable means absence of all fears. An innocent never fears police and courts and prisons it is the guilty like you who fear all. So your projecting of your own fear of condemnation is proof of your condemnation |

Dantedasz: The deity El had only one law which was circumcision .
Genesis chapter 17.
However when Israel became a monotheistic society Yahweh was elevated above El and became the god. .. Look at this statement, do you see the big space and inconsistency in it? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is The God In The New Testament Different? by vdestro: 6:03am On Jun 24, 2023 |
MaxInDHouse: Ọmọ he is 100% correct with this!
God Himself declared that the covenant differ:
“Look! The days are coming,” declares Jehovah, “when I will make with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah a new covenant. It will not be like the covenant that I made with their forefathers on the day I took hold of their hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, ‘my covenant that they broke, although I was their true master,’ declares Jehovah.” Jeremiah 31:31-32[/b]
So Christianity is not under the law covenant that's why we can't stone people to death when they turn against what God said! You misunderstand the word "new covenant" for clearly Jery explains that it is a merely a different means/mode of covenant but it is still the same covenant exactly as Moses" staff used for everything and yet God Said "Speak to the rock", but Moses feared and used the staff. God did not change neither did The Law change, the only change was the mode of operation of same Law, whkch is The Law of the Covenant, hence my response. And without a doubt ,The Lord, is still Lord, even now, therefore, there is no change. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is The God In The New Testament Different? by vdestro: 7:48am On Jun 23, 2023 |
Steep: It is the same God but two different convenants. The first covenant is base on Israel keeping the law and failure to do so attract severe punishment. The second covenant is based on the finish work of Jesus christ on the work in which christ bears the penalt of sins for thise who put their trust in him. It still the same covenant and law of sin/atonement. So you are wrong. It is no new covenant. |

TheMadame: Thank you for your input. I am enlightened by this post. You have heard this answer even before you asked this question. For you already know the Truth is that God never changed and He has always being gracious as seen even in the case of cain where He warned him of impendiing sin or the patience He gave Sodom and Gomorah or the grace He gave Balaam. Thus, God has always being good and remained the same and the only thing about what people wrongly call new testament is that it is His Last Message to man. |

Dantedasz: Oga. ,Answer the simple question and leave me to roast like suya meat in the everlasting incinerator. Just let your answers convince the OP. The OP has left her thread due to the rubbish, you and MaxIntheHouse2 have been posting all over the thread. Two pages and counting..... The op left because she found an answer that she nor you could not find any reasonable fault with. So you are on your own. |

Dantedasz: My friend, stop beating around the Bush. Answer the simple question in the original post. Allow me to burn for eternity in the incinerator. So, you have no thing good to say here |

MaxInDHouse: He is a restless religionist claiming atheist!
This is what he told me after a long debate:
So i believe he will never ever quote me again only for him to come quoting me after what he typed.
Ọmọ atheists are useless, worthless and hopeless fools who aren't men of their own words! He knows he is condemned already and that his matter is over but just like satan, it is most painfull to them to see other people escape the same damnation that destroyed them. This is why they have to do everything and say anything just to ensure that many people be destroyed as they have. See how all he has been doing here is to discourage and weaken the op by saying that no one will answer her question and attacking whoever tries to answer it |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is The God In The New Testament Different? by vdestro: 7:13pm On Jun 22, 2023 |
Dantedasz: The answer is very simple but because the shackles on your hands and legs are so strong you wouldn't recognise the answer if it slapped your face. Keep wallowing in the delusion. See proof. You had no thing reasonable to say against my answer but are just here to be the evil who blocks the op from getting the answer. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is The God In The New Testament Different? by vdestro: 7:03pm On Jun 22, 2023 |
Dantedasz: My point is your answer to the OP questions is VERY,VERY....very weak. If you don't know the answer stop disgracing yourself with silly answers. Saying my answer is weak without you pointing out the flaw just proves that my answer was perfect and you could not find any reasonable fault with it, hence you spoke emptily and you are just being a devil come to prevent people from understanding God. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is The God In The New Testament Different? by vdestro: 6:53pm On Jun 22, 2023 |
Dantedasz: This is even more absurd than MaxIntheHouse2 answer. Is it a must to attempt to answer a question of which you have no frcking idea of the answer? If you say it is absurd point out the absurdity and let us all see if you indeed have a reasonable query or objection, otherwise, keep silent as we know it is because you had nothing reasonable to say and you just want to be a devil come to block the op from having an answer to her question |

TheMadame: Good day to my brothers and sisters in Christianity. May the Lord be with all of us. May the Lord refresh us and give us the knowledge to attain everlasting life in heaven. Please I write to seek knowledge on a topic which distressed me. This is the dichotomy between the God of the new testament and God in the old testament of our holy Bible. The God in the Old testament comes across as very angry over issues, while the God of new testament comes across as kind and loving . Benevolent, forgiving, blessing and the father of all creation, while the old testament of the Bible reflects God as only for the nation of Israel. I welcome any explanation with Bible passages to enlighten God bless as you contribute to this discourse. Apologies for poor spelling and please let us avoid insulting language. Thank you. Simple. It is because what is wrongly called old testatament shows contains the relationship of God with man when the relationship was new. Exactly like a new relationship between a man and a woman. But the more the relationship is bad therefore the parties must drift apart and relate less. That is why there is a difference which is why God's Last Word technically to all men is "it is finished"! So, it is still the same God Who flowed and acted according to how the relationship with man deteriorated until the present situation of complete and absolute silence. |

LordReed: Sin is a made up concept to guilt people into obedience to religious strictures. I'd definitely take the law seriously. Crime is the one created by men as they unlawfully took upon themselves power to create their own fake law called legal. Sin is a creation of God through Natural Law. |

Honchoslim16: Well, as for me... I don't believe in 'sin'
I follow laws stated in the constitution of my country..... Not laws stated by an Israeli god or Arab god! There was no constitution in the 1500 yet murder, adultery, stealing, breaching of contracts were still offences. You do not need to believe in it but like the sun and rain, it still holds force against you. |

Natbrowny: RELIGION - Your first problem in this theory you put up there.
You may be right or wrong but its been generally known that RELIGION and RELIGIOUS BELIEFS is a weaponized tool created to mess up your mind, head and soul.
Notice how majority relates everything to religion. Its a mind control parolz. Now remove RELIGION and think this ur theory again. You'll feel better un-Hypnotized Same as your phone, books, music, movies, cartoons, clothes etc So, you just exchanged 1 hypnotism for another. |
