Chairman,i might not be in support of thebpolitization of national issues by religious bodies but we must not forget that the fact that these guys are members of religious bodies does not stop them from being concerned Nigerians,it is unfortunate that we need religious bodies to speak up before precautions are taken for political reasons, the poor villagers in Nimbo and other areas did everything to alert the public nd security angencies and were still slaughtered,maybe this "scare mongering" as you call it might make the government sit up.

While I agree with most of your submitions,ranging from how every region is important and how we all need each other,I disagree with you on the issue of oil not being of any use,its a really short sited way to look at it,there is a huge difference between the money being available and it being embezled,whether you choose to believe it or not,if oil dries up tomorrow,Nigeria as you know will gring to a halt,that is how important oil is to the nation at the moment,there is no doubt agriculture which the north is known for contributes hugely to the nations GDP but the truth remains that the revenues from the sale of these produce don't go to the federation account but private citizens unlike proceeds from oil which make up most of the governments revenue.

While I would love Nigeria to move beyond dependence on oil and applaud every state government on a diversification drive,we must not lie to ourselves.At the moment the nation cannot do without oil and if it dries up tomorrow,the nation will crumble,look at the hardship a fall in crude oil is inflicting. That been said,every sabotage of all facilities in the Niger delta must be discourage cos it affects everybody,especially its inhabitants.
