emmysam2: Am not surprised about Obama's nomination. Ngozi Iweala may have the credentials & credibility for the job(and perhaps be the top notch for the job), but it doesnt work that way! There are more to International politics than mere sentiments and rhetorics. The World Bank Presidency job is a big, big positon. Diverse economic interests are at staked. Just maybe the Developed countries are willing to concede the position to an "Emerging Economy" but definitely not to any country that they believe cannot protect "the interests at Stake". Ngozi Iweala has an uphill task contending for the prestigeous job. Even if she doesnt get the job, it is noteworthy to acknowledge it in the anals of history that she was credible enough to be nominated. I stroongly wish her a big success at this Herculean ambition!

There are loads other people credible for the Job. Heads of Business schools, other Finance ministers, senior staffs at World Bank itself etc.

Personally, I think its better she doesn't get nominated. She herself aint as "good/fair" as we thought she'd be. Read a lot about her and her brother (brother I think). She's loving the money and wants more. This is not about patriotism or wot not. You lot going on like she should get it, how on earth would it reaaally affect ur lives?
I'm yet to see what she's reaaally doing in her current ministerial post. Obasonjo spotted some "crookedness" in her, when he sacked her under his regime. Etc. B4 some of you go on to say, nobody is clean in posts like these. Well, she's from a developing country, she aint done shiit to develop the country. And don't quote or mention achievements that involved other prominent nigerian citizens.
It would have been nice tho if Kim wasn't based in the US. But now one can say... oh well, its politics after all.

Think this is bad. It shows how dumb some nigerians are. Surely people must see there's something not just right here. It's like saying Porsche should go to Eritrea, Somalia etc. Where majority of the population are living in poverty.

 Not sure if this is the right section on the forum to be posting this. But, I'm looking to volunteer for any charity-like organisation. Kinda got loads of time and just chillin doing nothing, esp since no proper paid job yet.  Does anybody know of any? Especially around isolo. Don't mind going further than Isolo, but on the condition they pay my daily transport fare, cos heeey manz low on naira atm.

It is funny. But, even though I don't want to generalise. It is true, but not in all cases. But it is true with the overwhelming majority of (black) girls (in Nigeria anyway. And 2bh, quite less abroad).
To do a quick check, when you're bored - obviously. Try add a number of girls online. Talk to them, some you would be able to spot a mile away, when they start telling you stories of how they aren't around, and they haven't got much transport money. Continue the convo, pretending to be a novice that's really interested, yet driving at the point. And you'd start reading lines saying, "send me recharge cards of the transport worth" or "send to this acc no.). Others would meet, from stories I've heard and go to "Point and Kill" and make use of their fingers loads to point lol!
While I'm very much aware, a number of guys pretend to be girls online to get money, most girls are deffo in it.
Bottom line is, its all part of the hustle, their own version.

So you guys have probably been seeing the CBN job vacancy ads. Question is, is it legit or a scam?
I ask, because on the official CBN website, no vacancy. But these company called "Nextzone" or something have really put in effort coming up with these long list of vacant post available and are requesting pple send their CVs. Tried calling the land line they provided. But it was a "number is not recognised or or wrong number msg (along that line), I kept getting.
So, is this a legit ad?
