JW214: Bros, am sorry, do U mean a machine in the UK dispensed £500 cash to U in one day? if yes, that machine must be wonderfulPllzzz....massive lie. No offence faithinn9jja. Since around 2004, its been reduced to £300 from £500. Except if you had a faulty atm machine, dispensing free extra cash n all or u got it around 2k4 to 2k5. |
cugresources: @OP, it all depends on what u want in life. building a personal business is not so easy in Nigeria and other country, but it is very very possible. if you are an Ibo person, God has a special blessing for them when it comes to business and self-employment. If you aspire to be so great and end up a giant employer of labour, u cannot achieve it by working for someone. if you want to be self-employed, make sure your ready to bear the pains, the ups and downs for at least 2 - 3yrs, thats y Ibo people go for tutelage before they start their own business, it is to learn the business secrets in the business they want to venture into. make sure u have good startup capital, research well and don't expect fast success, it comes gradual, but great in mere future. oil company job is definitely the dream of most Nigerians becos they are afraid they won't make it as self-employed people...so they want it fast, buut how many oil co. workers make top rich list in various states in Nigeria? or say various streets, communities, L.G.As? they are only comfortable people, earn say 750k a month or 1.2m, depending on position, but some business people or say self-employed people make that amount in one week, some in few days, but the only difference is that theirs is not always constant, but all add up, good self-employed people earn far way more than oil workers. i would have revealed some businesses u will try, but nope...this is internet....but all the same, u can combine the two if u can. register a company name, but be careful becos u need to be at the helm of affairs of the biz so u don't end up making some people rich...ur bizness will only succeed if ur the md, and constantly there to run and monitor it cos people are wicked...in Nigeria. goodluck...Thought that was d aim for most people. Millionaires or these 750k a month you speak of. If the latter spends according to his income. Are they not both comfortable? Except greed sets in yh? |
felix4real: I sometimes wonder how Nigerians think. Must you gain anything directly from her being World Bank Head? I think i am getting really tired of the "subjective" comments being made on Nairaland about issues that should elicit intellectual response. If you must know, some of your possible gains from her being World Bank head are:No offence. But you a little off it m8! All those points you gave are pretty much nothing. I suspect you'd like to feel some sense of pride from a Nigerian bein made d president. Of WB, since you're a Nigerian. But m8, doesn't really work that way in the real world. Nigerians would still be scrutinized d same way, sure it would make so little difference. Only thing you can get from this, is bragging rights to you Ghanian m8, that a Nigerian is there. Your country would still most likely ne corrupt. Boko Haram would most probably still be playing their bombs n kidnapping games etc. Import business or not, if I want to do somesort of business with you, I'd like to know your credit worth, whether you have your country woman in WB or not. When Koffi was UN big boy, he had lil "leg way", but the country itself was building itself gradually (@ Ghana). If you know anybody that studied international relations etc. Speak to them. Can't explain in details & properly. Main advantage I see here, is in the area of grants, funds etc... Heck, that too wud be kinda watched closely, cos aint only Nigeria that need $! Just don't self-service over this whole election...pls! |
Nigerians! Smh!! |
But how did you apply tho? How was the process like? Looking to see if it's the same as d type I saw |
Turbocharged:Read your statement. And had to agree with you. Some guys just like putting some females down. To boost their ego I guess. When I shag a girl, its funny, but I respect her even more. Kinda appreciate her for d shag and would want more, encourage her to let "loose". Not brand her as a "slut". But encourage the "slut" in her to come out n play! |
This doesn't make sense lol! How did you guys apply for it? Asking cos, I applied for UAC a while back. And this was through WFM. Think workforce management or something. Didn't get no sms. So, I ask again. How did you apply for it? Thanks |
Since nothing in Nigeria can be/has ever been regulated. Why try in the first place? Asides from cars/vehicles, which aren't regulated properly. Government shouldn't allow another system of transport, since it can't regulate it. Think so anyway! |
Kingsleyinfo: come o u dis okoro..Think the point alj_hareem is trying to pass across is... Imagine this...the example he gave, that involved a girl he knew. In the north, in a market. None of the sellers (local village sellers) speak english, which is believable. Since u've been to the north before, u'd know this happens. As a nigerian and not a foreigner, would you walk away and rather shop in a super market like a foreigner or at least try to reason with them and learn something? |
Kingsleyinfo: I wonder how people think?Aww...what can I say to you but smh. I've happened to be present when people like you talk to some yoruba people, right next to me. Just saying almost the same thing you are saying. What's bad in learning the language? Sheeez! Come to my area in Okota-Isolo. A lot of Igbos there, and you'd see A LOT of yorubas actually trying to be friendly with them Igbo guys/girls by speaking the language..ke kwanu, ewerem milo etc. Guy, you should change the way you think maan! Funny thing is, SOME of these Igbos get worked up, when people speak to them in Yoruba. Thinking they understand it, mistakenly. And they'd respond in a funny rude manner, "don't speak that to me". And I laugh, smh. It shouldn't be so. Let's change the whole attitude about it man! About the NYSC thing. While to "work" the posting is kinda going against the NYSC idea. Point is, you found yourself in Ogun. Mix and Join in. I'm so sure he would have, if he found himself in your area...#just saying. I would anyway. |
But 2bh tho. You've just gotta love d language and its uber rich culture. Learning other Nigerian languages now tho. I hear hausa is the easiest to learn?? Hmm Also think the language has that "addictive' -ish to it. That's why, some people from parts of Nigeria, try so hard not to learn/understand or speak it. Jo o! [Jor o]!! Ose! [Oshay]!! lol! One love, One Nigeria jor |
The story is fake guys! Guess it all adds up now!!! Nigerian VISA?? Nott there yet |
ayosmiles: A slut simply means a promiscous woman. But what standard do u use to measure a slut, how many men should a woman sleep with to qualify as a slut. The answers to this question differs from one guy to the other and 4 some guys its more about who she has slept with. Like a gal that has had only 3 men and one of them is ur best friend. Lets not be hypocrites. Most guys have slept around before marrying and they still love their wives. Dont these men also qualify as reformed sluts. Why should d rules be diff 4 man and woman?True, we shouldn't be hypocrites at all. You speak sense. But, just so I know I'm right, what would you say about the girl who's had 3 guys, of which aguy among was a friend to d bf? The girl u used in ur example. Just curious, pls |
MrMaintain: Thank you all for d responses and lots of food for thought.Hmm...you say she's not a gold digger. Some girls are good at concealing that m8! Be careful. Still haven't answered how you two met? Especially, since you never stayed in Nigeria that much. Be reaaally careful. Advice, 4get here please! This is no cultural beliefs or what have you!! |
Whaa...beyonce?? Wtf!lol Of what value is this list? Wgy do we give all these american "lists" (d times, forbes etc) any value or seconds/minutes etc? Utter nonsense!! You lot go queue in front of some building for your issue of time magazine....mtcheew 4 real! nonsense This is obviously a list of whose name popped up the most in headlines around the world (or in most countries). Jonathan: boko haram bombs; middleton: royal wedding; zuckerberg: facebook ipo obv etc. And they try market it as something important. |
Reading this was actually making me boil. Wow! So she's not willing to contribute. And you two plan to marry? Reaally?? Mate, think its only you doing the "loving" in this relationship of yours, 2bh. Cos if she really does love you too, this won't be an issue at all!!! Curious tho, if you don't mind telling pls. How did you two meet? Especiacially, since you never spent that much time in Nigeria. Mate, this doesn't sound like love to me. I'm really sorry if I'm saying something you don't want to hear. But really, how did you two meet? Atleast, she probably aint pretending for papers (aka passport) |
Question is: at what stage is a girl a slut? This makes me remember a friend of mine who want sure if he should label his gf a slut or not. He knows of her history. She's only slept with 3 guys b4 him, one of the guys happen to be his friend. He went on to say he knows the number of times she had sex b4 him: 7 times or so. But, since in the past, he says his firend tries to brag claiming he passed his "used goods to him", since he did introduce 2 of them 2 each other. He's not sure if he should class her as a slut n run. But The girl also says, she just wasn't into the firend of his, just for sexx, that's why she left his friend for him. Could a girl like this be classed as a slut? |
agreed, bt everyone deserves a second chance. Men do worse nd get away wit it, so why shouldnt a reformed slut be given a chance to be happy? ple kill, steal etc nd r forgiven y should dis be different? Why should a lady be condemned bcz of d mistakes of ha past? R u suggesting dt she should remain unmarried nd miserable bcz she was a slut? If dts d case den its only fair dt 'male sluts' be treated d same way.
But, its also fair to say, on average a female sees (or has chances to see) more di-cks than a male has to see more pu-ssy. Right or wrong? So who's d bigger slut? But to be fair...past I guess is the word. But it aint gonna be that easy. |
This is simply a case of an ordinary british citizen, looking to make money. And saw Nigeria as an easy way; part of Globalization. Thing is, it aint just Nigeria that's a target. Other African countries too, that value foreigners more than their nationals (with good reasons) are. They are after the trickle of u lots oil money, when they get it, they siphon it all back home (early foundations of empire aka Buccaneers). What we have here is probably a case of guys not wanting to go through the hoops n all of getting the VISAS or they probably have criminal records back home and see a nice way of making money here n all. This shouldn't be a "swollen headed" moment for y'all still. Instead, early indication of things to come. |
America has no culture. Most of their cultures are as a result of settlers from other countries, during the British rule. They pretty much have similar cultures to the British. Why? Since North America was a settlement/colony of the British (french too, but that ended up a minority). The suits are obviously British clothing. I honestly don't see anything wrong with Nigerian Presidents wearing Suits. Its become a formal "uniform", that pretty much most, if not all country leaders (who all have their own cultural clothes) wear. Take China, Japan, India, South Africa, Ghana etc...list is endless. Are we trying to say they aren't proud of their culture? No. Nigerians are obviously a lil insecure, trying to act patriotic n all. Plzzzzzz. Most of them might look funny in them anyway. Y'all should grow up! |
Richfella: @ Vergil, e-herbal and Bawss1But hold on, are their fixed lines hanging on unstable poles, like they are with NITEL in Nigeria?? You also telling me they have cafes? Aah chai! "Giant of africa". But, thought now, the plan is to sell NITEL? 20Mbps my guy!!! Its something! Deffo! Downloading galor. But how's the pricing like? So, Ghanians dey enjoy like this...hmm Nigerians should reaaally stop running their mouth. Ought to be fukkin ashamed. "Ghana must go", see am, nah dem dey go so. Heck, their own demand for first, business class flights to the UK or abroad aint that much. These guys are deffo getting their amenities in check. Need to visit soon!! |
Richfella: Vodafone Ghana! Can you beat that?Fukkkkkkkkk noooooooo waaaaaaay!!!!!!! In Ghana ?60 fkinnnn megsssssss ![]() ![]() ? 60Mbps ?Imposicant-Imposi-fkin-ble!! Hard connection or wireless? Do they have fibre optics networks under ground in Ghana? Nigeria neighbors? Surely, they can't get to that level b4 d "giant of Africa"! How dare them! Guy, na photoshop be dat jare!! And to think Vodafone was actually in Nigeria b4. Heard it was anyway, before airtel. Nawa o |
shymmex: You sir, are an idiot!! Biggest investor in one-sided trade - no wonder why Wole Soyinka said: "A mistake in London is a fashion in Lagos". Wake up, if the trade was fair - I'll be the first person to post it on here, and promote British trade in Nigeria - but get real, the so-called trade is lopsided. I can't deny Nigeria, and the poor masses - we need to wake up and look for countries, which are willing to trade with us fairly - not exploiters.Curious, How does Wole Soyinka's statement (mistake in London, fashion in Lagos) apply to this? |
Nah but honestly tho. Think it wud be nice. So we (men) too cud have in flow of diff colours/flavours of girls/pum etc. And we'd know the black girls marrying them wud deffo be of good behaviour n all. Better behaviour as compared to when they're married to Blaack guys. Problem is, this other races of guys are scared of black girls. They see u lot as a "no no" case. Rather not tread or go in that direction etc. Sooo many real life scenarios of this everywhere. More chances on an expat in Nige tho. Since all they see are black girls. Idea of beauty changes dramatically! Deffo!! Bbs I won't consider nice before are looking fkin sexc these days lol! Seriously fiiine!! But seriously! Y'all should girls! Reaally! |
You lot are funny. Things do happen you know. I've watched documentaries, about matured white women going on holiday to jamaica for fun, pleasure and to relax. They pick up guys. Now, most of these guys do it for vi. Buuut, do you know thesetually stick to these women. Even though, after getting the visa, they've got all opportunity for leg it. But they don't. Same prob goes for these youngsters. This guy and they previous. So, don't jump into conclusion...trusss! She prob does make him happy. Aaand! Y'all know guys aint as cold-hearted as dem girls. Esp d diggers of "gold"! Aaaah! Dey go change face quick! Lyk car ontop autobahn!!! |
So for a guy, its a no no. And for a girl, she doesn't mind. Are we right to say "ego" is at play here? It wasn't a relationship thing with this friend, so wasn't an "ex" thing. But the girl and my guy has really hit it of. All Love etc. But he says he thinks about it atimes. And I'm thinking "ego" maybe. Don't know what to say to him in a way. REALITY101: Hell NO. . I don't rub my dick in the same pot with my friends. In circle of my real friends, we don't date each others ex. To me its grossBut if he wasn't your friend, its ok abi? If yes, only difference is you know the person. |
Hm |
The MAGA statement is well true. And guy, try get d se.x without paying anything. 2bh, most girls are still surprised and amazed by their pussy power. So we need to show them, it aint shit. That way, they'd give, without necessarily expecting something in return. It would be an optional thing for the guys. |
As the topic says. Especially when you realize the both of you get on really good. Like each other etc or would ego get in the way? |
manchy7531: Nigerians are cursed.that is why your country will never progress.shame on you all.you are suppose to be the leading light but you have turned yourselves to a laughing stoke to the outside world just imagine all the rubbish you people are posting on this site about your daughter that the blacks/africa/developing world is proud to have and the world is reading everything.shame on you people.you don't like your selves, you don't like your country then how do you expect the world to like you.you say ghanaians and south africans do like you, you call south africans xenophobi but you guys are the most tribalistic set of africans."a man who is rejected can't reject himselves" but you guys reject yourselves and expect the world to accept you.?SSSSHHHAAAAAMMMMEEEE on you.very soon it will be igbo, youba, hausa, north, south, east, west, pdp, acn, apga, cpc, oil, parasite.FOOLsYou should actually be ashamed of urself. Heck, pple wud be shaking their heads at you. You really are nothing more than an ignoran dummbo! I'm sorry, rarely do this. Aint even spoken like this on this forum. But u just remind me of some Nigerian pple that just "go with the flow" for the no important reason. You obviously are gunning for her cos she's Nigerian. What happened to gunning for quality pple. Think pple should reaally get into politics for the wrong reasons, do nothing but have fairly good media coverage. So they could be rest assured dummbo fans like u would keep supporting them, giving them more opportunities to retain their post. And you're supposedly in a good uni...OAU. And can't brush up on ur news...nonsense |
Hypocrisy to the highest order
