FamilyRe: World’s Oldest Mother Gave Birth At Almost 70 by VicGoodGuy(m): 11:26am On Jul 21, 2013
Please let's keep this thread away from Sani Yerima and his cohorts in the seanate. Cos if they see this, they would marry this kid at this age and let this brave woman die. Since she's living for the day her daughter would get married

Poor woman, taking her daughter to school is out of the question. All she's thinking about is her marriage.
SportsRe: Joseph Yobo Chases Mother-in-law From Home - National Enquirer Magazine by VicGoodGuy(m): 11:05am On Jul 21, 2013
We shouldn't conclude yet cos we haven't heard her own side of the story. But, I have an idea of her kind of woman. A woman who's in her third marriage and still counting. Preparing her daughter for her next marriage while she's still in her present one. That's a nightmare of a mother-in-law. She would be running her own house and be running her daughter's house at the same time.

And if anyone by any means wants to visit TB Joshua's church from outside the country (the SA peeps, I'm looking at you), I live in a well furnished 2-bedroom flat alone, a stone throw away from his Synagogue Church. I can offer you bed and breakfast for a minimal fee. Maximum security guaranteed. PM me if interested. If you're a pretty lady, I can offer more than just bed and breakfast, just to make your stay in Naija a memorable one.

telim: Me and my guys are all waiting for him to help us perform miracles like turning of river to wine. These will allow us to start the packaging and sales of wine that are affordable to all, and create more employment opportunities to our graduates. Cause am tired of pastors always telling us that jesus is coming soon. If Jesus is really coming soon, i pray he comes now and not when am dead. Cause i have some serious business to discuss with him.

Talking of being dull, you're so dull u can't even differentiate an hausa name from an igbo name. You surely are one of those village yoruba peeps who classify anyone who does not speak he yoruba language as 'omo ibo'. Try and get a life bro.

Sorry bro, I don't give a fvck about Sungu or whatever she calls herself neither do I care about what Soyinka said or did not say but...

Saying may Abacha's soul rest in peace is highly unacceptable. That alone should land you in jail in a saner clime. (Now taking a thorough mouthwash for the mere mention of Abacha with my mouth)

If Abacha was not heartless dictator, why would a father name his 7-day-old daughter Gumsu? That name sounds very much like a very ugly veneral disease.
TV/MoviesRe: Deji Bademosi Now At TVC by VicGoodGuy(m): 10:48am On Jul 20, 2013
Why is TVC tapping up Channels' staff one by one? First it was that guy that used to present Sunrise on saturdays(remind me his name please) now its Deji Bademosi. After their radio station has tapped Jones Ussen and Ify Onyegbule from Metro FM.
Talking of Channels, whatever has become of Ladi Akeredolu-Ale?
TravelRe: *** General Irish VISIT/TOURIST VISA Enquiries *** by VicGoodGuy(m): 10:24am On Jul 20, 2013
[quote author=dotcom_na_me_na_me]Hello guys,
Just to share this around for those of you that believes & keep saying that an Irish Visa is difficult to obtain at the Irish Embassy. Well, you’re very wrong because I believe that an Irish Visa is the easiest visa to obtain provided that you meet the requirements of the relevant rules.
If you have a good job in Nigeria and working full time & can boost of N700, 000 in your account, off course you can apply for a tourist visa at the Irish Embassy through the VFS. If you’re married let say never got kids, 1m to 1.3m is okay in ur account for you and ur spouse for tourist visit like 1-2 week, and don't forget to include your Marriage Certificate and your wedding pictures, , if you have children, pls include their birth cert and if possible family pictures as proof of family ties, if you have any property try include evidence of this, if you're living in a rented house, pls include your tenancy agreement, and don't forget your leave letter & introduction letter from work. If you're employed/self employed, dont forget your tax clearance cert..

If you’re a student in Nigeria and u wish to visit Ireland, you must provide evidence of this such as your Student ID.card and letter from your school stating the length of your school break holiday and the date to resume school, if someone else is sponsoring your holiday trip, then your sponsor must provide his/her bank statement showing enough balance to cover the cost of your visit to Ireland as a tourist, for example lets say your sponsor has 1m in his/her account either personal or company. If your sponsor is working, then he must provide documentary evidence that he’s working such as is pay slip, or his company registration cert etc… and a letter of sponsorship must be included and evidence of his/her relationship with you. Don’t forget that you must include confirmation of your accommodation such as your hotel reservation or any confirmation of your accommodation letter from any relative in Ireland stating that you will be adequately accommodated by him/her throughout the duration of your stay in Ireland.

Here it goes:

IF YOU SUBMIT ANY FAKE DOCUMENT FOR AN IRISH VISA, YOU WILL BE BAN FOR 5 YEARS, so please don’t even think about it.

THE EMBASSY REQUIRES A COMPLETE PHOTOCOPY SET OF ANY DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED TO THE EMBASSY. THIS INCLUDES A FULL COPY OF YOUR PASSPORT I.E. PAGES 1 – 32 .

1. ENSURE THAT YOUR BANK STATEMENTS ARE LEGIBLE TO READ AND ARE NOT IN ENVELOPES FILES AND FOLDER.

2. THE IRISH EMBASSY DO NOT ACCEPT ANY MICROFINANCE STATEMENTS AS WELL AS ANY MORTGAGE STATEMENTS.

From 25 May 2009, residents of Nigeria who wish to apply for Irish visas must apply/submit their application at the VFS application centre either in Lagos or Abuja. You can get more info here www.vfsglobal-ie-ng.com

Step 1. Once your Complete your online application form here https://www.visas.inis.gov.ie/avats/OnlineHome.aspx

• If you are resident in a country other than your country of origin, evidence of your permission to reside in that country. This permission should be valid for at least 3 months after your intended departure from Ireland.
• Where a child under the age of eighteen is travelling alone, the consent of both parents/guardians is required. If there are specific documents that you wish to have returned to you, please submit a list of these with your application.
All letters submitted should be on official company headed paper and give full contact details for verification purposes. These must include a full postal address, name of contact, position in company, telephone number (landline) and email address where relevant. (Email addresses such as Yahoo or Hotmail are not accepted). Website address should also be included, if available.

All of the above documents must be submitted with your application
All documentation must be in English or accompanied by a notarised translation
The provision of all the documentation listed in no way guarantees that a visa will be granted
Please do not purchase travel tickets prior to a decision being made on the visa application. Doing so may lead to unnecessary additional costs in circumstances where a visa is not granted.

FOR FAMILY VISIT, pls visit here http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Short%20Stay%20Visit%20%28Family%20or%20Tourist%29

If you have any question or concerns about this, pls ask openly here, I will be happy to answer you, alternatively, Vcjustice or justwise will provide you the best they can.

To me, this online trade thingy is a complete no-no. Tried it last month when I bought two pairs of shoes from an online outlet that advertised on NL here. When the shoes arrived after what seemed like eternity, they were the complete opposite of what I saw in the pics. I called and called but my calls weren't picked. Sent an email to no avail. I had to give the shoes away cos I can't see myself putting on those garbages. I had to accept my fate and resolved not to try it again.

naptu2: Mumini Alao is one of the best sports journalists in Nigeria. The only time that I was unhappy with his work was when he wrote an article in Complete Football in which he predicted that Clemens Westerhoff would bring disgrace to Nigeria at USA '94. He wrote that article because Westerhoff refused to allow him speak to the players and had him thrown out of Papendal.

Guy, you have a very good memory.

semid4lyfe: From the Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe Thread

An opinion I agree with.

Arrow of God is denser with detail than Things Fall Apart, with a good deal more technical discussion of the rituals and concepts underlying Igbo religious customs and with a larger and more fleshed-out cast of characters. It is also a far more interesting read IMO.

When next you're around Ogudu in Lag, try and be in touch. I owe u a bottle or two. I made this assertion while in secondary sch and got tongue-lashed by my lit-in-eng teacher back then. Thank God others are saying it now.
