rockar: pls i need someone with xperience to answer my question. i finished nysc last year and ever since then, i manage my dads company which he handed to me with a legal doc. the problem is that i made my firt time application today for uk family visiting visa. after i made the application,a friend told me i ought to have included my school cert and nysc cert in the documents i submitted to let them know im a graduate. pls is this necessary for visiting visa? now i am so unhappyLike Justwise had answered, it is not necessary..., even an illiterate can apply for same category visa... But if however you feel you need to include the certificate, you can send it by registered post to them if you know your application reference number which you must enter on the supporting document. |
okeytimi: @ vicjustice, you sound too positive about your point, but take my word:you will surely be disappointed. It is not in my interest to "scare" you with "negative" news, i was only being honest in telling you the gravity of the situation: it is better to tell you how grave a true situation is than to mislead you to think that all is well. |
bisoyeg: Hi Nairalanders,a friend missed his flight to Washington yesterday he holds a 2 year B1/B2 visa, the seminar he is going for is starting on monday 10th December till 13th December now he got another flight for early monday morning which means he will arrive in the US on 11th at about 9am local time,I wanna know if that would jeopardize his entry at the port of entry? You're indeed a friend's keeper, you seem to know so much about your "friend" and you are able to give so much details about "his" circumstances... But why do you have to do this for your "friend"? |
okeytimi: I was charged based on driving with a document seems to be fake, anddriving without mot which obviously means that the insurance is in valid.I was ill advice not to attend the court cos i may be detained based on the charged related to the license.pls i ned your assistance as regard what to do about this chargesWhoever it was that gave you such ill advise to abscond during your court hearing might have thought you were leaving the UK for good, but you knowing that you have a family to leave behind should have known better than to run away from something that you would need to return back to. Now, knowing that you are not eligible for a UK visa ,I don't advise you to pay any nonrefundable fees or charges... Know that if however you get a visa, you are going no where except to a Uk jail |

kalari: Am so sorry I did nt say in my post that I work,am a working mother as a matter of fact I work in a bank I just want to use my father statement and docs cos of the inflows that enter my daddy acct and also because is hotel and resrvation I want to use and that will require lot of money.I thank you all for uR response,I intend to put my statement along with my father statement. That is how to do it, and you're good to go for the visa. |
ifegy: Does anyone have any information on this- i.e., is there any such thing, is it safe to use, hours of operation, location? You mean those "Hausas" hanging about the airport premises? I've used their services multiple times, it is quite safe, but it's always wise to be vigilant because you don't know who may be spying on you changing how much money. |
okeytimi: I explain in my first thread that i returned to my home country before the date for the court because the immgration officer who attended to me advice me to do so cos i might be detained and deported. Also the tribunal also affirm that the eco officer was wrong to have denied me based on the pending.it all went wrong when my second appeal was messd up by the lawyer who refuse to contact me untill the time lapses.I contacted a uk immigration officer who said i can apply for a family visit but my intention must be explain.pls. advice on the intention if you can pls.for the rest i know what to do thanks.Man, it is a very serious offence to jump a court hearing date: an arrest warrant must have been issued out against you, and you are considered a criminal at large subject to arrest wherever you are identified. All odds are against you: You went against immigration rules; that is an offense. You drove a mechanically propelled vehicle without insurance; that is a violation. You were caught using a fake driver's license; that is a crime. You jumped a court hearing date; that is an abuse. You absconded; that is another crime. Well, how do you expect to be granted a visa with such records against you? If you asked me, I don't see how you can be given a visa to attend a birthday party |
okeytimi: My reall concern is about intention ,i want you to advice me cos i dont want to remain since i have a better officer here in the middle east and my family could visit based on my status.the issue is my daughet is insisting that i should be at her birtday.pls advice me what can i do?To be honest, the Visa Officer might not consider your "child's birthday" as a compelling reason to visit the UK, it is expected that the birthday could be done in any country, including your residence country. |
I mainly look at the UK/Europe related threads or other random and miscellaneous ones, i seldom look at the US Canadian, Australia, South-African etc threads, so, i can't really pick the prominent contributors in these threads therefore, i would say Collinsfbi (or Collins-C.I.A?) as the poster who contributes meaningfully in almost every helpful thread. lovesavvi: @justwise nd vic, can my brother who is on workpermit in uk sponsor my trip for family visit? He is the one dat want to invite me,am a business man here in naija and am also going to include my bank statement and my business registration certificate together with my invoices nd receipt as a proof of tie to naija. Am i gud 2 go?I don't understand why you need your brother to sponsor you if you have all these mentioned credentials |
menia: With all due respect, I dont totally agree with Vicjustice. There is nothing wrong in parent sponsoring a married woman and her kids when comes to either UK or US tourist visa or student visa...That is why i said: "it is not an entirely wrong thing to have one's father as a sponsor; but the fact is, a person who is not capable of self sponsorship is not deemed worthy of a tourist visa..." menia: ...Anytime I apply for either UK or US visa for myself and my daughter, I always use my father documents as my sponsor despite the fact that I work and they always grant our visas. kalari just ensure you include your statement of account as well...You might have been privileged to satisfy a visa officer that your father's fund is available and that you have access to it, but that does not mean that other people are so likewise privileged; that is why i said: "...because, s/he can hardly satisfy the Visa Officer of the availability (and most importantly, the accessibility) of the fund menia: ...kalari just ensure you include your statement of account as well. I applied for UK 10 years visa last year with my daughter and my father sponsored us and the visas were granted eventhough I'm married.Karali didn't say anything about her own bank statement, and that alone is disqualifies her from the requirements of a tourist visa and she doesn't seem to have a job hence i said she can not "satisfy the Visa Officer of her intention to return to Nigeria" So, what really do you disagree with me about? |
kalari: Good morning house, you guys are doing a great job,pls i have a question to ask i am a married woman with two kids and i will like to apply for uk visiting visa, the question is can my father act as my sponsor as in to support me with his statement of account and other documents and also hope the eco officer will not start thinking that why is my husband not sponsoring us.I think you already answered your own question. Well, to clarify that, as a married woman, it is supposed to be YOU or your HUSBAND who should be doing the sponsorship, not your father: Yet, it is not an entirely wrong thing to have one's father as a sponsor; but the fact is, a person who is not capable of self sponsorship is not deemed worthy of a tourist visa because, s/he can hardly satisfy the Visa Officer of the availability (and most importantly, the accessibility) of the fund nor can s/he satisfy the Visa Officer of the intention to return to Nigeria |
zubbainno123: Oga vicjustice and my other friends here pls I really need an urgent response on this. There is no embassy law or rule that forbids Corpers from travelling abroad, but for the fact that corpers are under regulations, and one of the clauses of the regulations forbid them to travel at will, the embassy would therefore have no choice but to act by the rules |
Hello please, I'm hoping someone would help out with sufficient advice on this. My cousin is in Nigeria, and her husband to be is in UK working with one of the federal prison in UK. Thou he is a full born Nigerian bt has his citiziship in UK. He want her pregnant befor joinning him in UK to have the baby after which, they will come back to Nigeria for the wedding. My question is; Is it possible for her to get her VISA to UK without stress or rejection to join him being pregnant without a marriage certificate? And what are the procedure to go about this? am so concerned because I dont want her to make any mistakes that will keep her hanging here in Nigeria with the pregnancy. Thanks.
From your comment, it seems the couple's "marriage" is not officially recognised, and if so, the woman can not apply for a visa under spouse regulation. Now, assuming the marriage is legitimately recognised (with a certificate to substantiate it), as a wife of a UK citizen, she should be eligible to apply for a spouse visa irrespective of the pregnancy stage provided her husband meets the financial requirements |
vozkini: @vicjustice,justwise&all, am grateful forr your candid advise. I wish to re-apply for the visa again and have booked a hotel close to britsh museum and other side attractions, my questions now is,is there any need to include in additional information, informations regarding where they state that I requested for 3 weeks instead of 1 week I requested, moreso, is there any need to explain mistake made on the first hotel booked. Please advice. If you sensed injustice or you think that the Visa Officer's error played a role in the unsuccessful application, then, it won't be a bad idea to make use of the additional info box. And also, if you feel the need to make clarity regarding the hotel, then, why not? |
yincahmicheal: Believe ur God and am not saying work is nt needed, it needed but I think prayer first getting my visa was like a play, what I said was my own view, you view is what you encourage people about n no one ever insult you so please apply manners to your replay n let treat issues with respect cus don't think we ar here to fight or insult one another. ThankWell, my post wasn't meant to insult you, but if however you felt insulted by Sunny_Bobo's responding post, i like to apologise on his behalf. |
yincahmicheal: My friends here on the forum I like to tell you that the major reason why most are refuse a visa is mostly because we have forgotten that it only God that make all things possible, but why putting together our documents we always forget to had most essential document and the most sweet able agent which is prayer and faith, add prayer to your application and make God the first and the last and u will be disappointed it prayer that will back up ur document and application and it this same prayer that will speak for u at the British High commission, when your faith is shaking in your God and you believe more in your application and document I bet u, u may end up not getting anything positive but please just do your best and leave the rest to God am so sure in Him he never disappoint and he will make a way for u where there seems to be no way. Do not rush in so that time you will not fur fit(false application) your chances of getting a visa. (Ban 10yrs). Follow advise and the rules and leave all to God to had what is meaning, God is not a magician but He is a miracle working God. Have faith in Him It just a Contribution my brothers not a sermon nor a preaching. Thanks allWhat gave you the impression that everybody in this forum is a "Christian"? What message do you have for the Muslims, the Hindus and the Pagans? And what makes you thinks that it takes only a man of faith to apply for a visa? By the way, how are the atheist getting their visas? Well, what does the Bible say about "faith without work"? Man, visa application is not about religion, but about doing the right thing in the right way |
zubbainno123: Oga vicjustic and justwise and my other friends here pls I really need an urgent response on this. zubbainno123: Does it mean that one can not apply for a visit visa as a corper, tought NYSC is a strong enough ground to prove that u will return bk to the country after your visit? There is no embassy law or rule that forbids Corpers from travelling abroad, but for the fact that corpers are under regulations, and one of the clauses of the regulations forbid them to travel at will, the embassy would therefore have no choice but to act by the rules |
vickkyy: @Vicjustice, thank u so much. Almighty God will continue to give u wisdom & understanding to put people through their visa applications. I'm still expecting their response to d administrative review that I wrote but Can I re:apply in 3months time because that is when I will be entittle to another leave. You are entitled to reapply for a visa at any time, and it is allowed to apply for a fresh visa while your previous refusal is under appeal or administrative review. But if you seek my opinion, i don't think 3 months is enough time to improve your financial circumstance and to avoid being refused for the same reason as the previous. |

justwise: 850k is nothing if that is 4-5 times your salary and you planning to travel to the UK to spend it in one week, cash flow as a business person is not the same as somebody who earns monthly salary, salary is fixed, business income is not, the two are not judged the same way.I'm glad there is someone who understands what it takes. Well done, Justwise. jejet: My post was in response to Vicjustice response to remmer5 that 850k is not sufficient to apply for visiting visa.I do not have a regular monthly income but I have cash flowing in and out in account (not bogus amt) and I explained the source of the money is from sales commission I received from my parents business and I accompanied it with a letter stating that I have uninterrupted access access to the business account. Finish. few days later, I picked up my visaRead my post carefully, i neither said that 850k is insufficient nor did i say it is sufficient, i only responded to Remmer5's post when he said that the Visa Officer might wonder about how he had "that much" (850k) cash in his account: However, in general, a Visa Officer would not be encouraged to issue a visa to an applicant if he deems that the travel will heavily affect his/her financial situation |
vickkyy: Thanks for putting me through. But I noted it in d application form that d money available for my trip is N309,000 and i just want to vısıt UK for just 1Week. Please kındly advıse me on what to do becos i çant abandon MY job here in nigeria, then be a legal resıdent ın UK. Pleade advıce me on what to do. Thank uImprove your financial situation and apply again (only) in due time. |
afam4eva: This story is really hard to believe. What will make a pro Basketball player to want to break into someone's house.http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=289355 Clifford "the black rhino" Etienne charged with armed robbery and attempted murder Former fringe world title contender Clifford Etienne was arrested Wednesday after allegedly stealing $1,978 from a Florida Boulevard check-cashing business, Baton Rouge police has confirmed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TYXa3tzIfY According to a Police spokesman the 35 year-old ex jail bird, who was wearing a mask, stole the cash at gunpoint. But when the one time contender attempted to leave the premises a number of police were waiting and gave chase. It is then alleged that Etienne tried to steal a car with two children inside but was not able to start it. He then fired at police but the gun failed to go off. Etienne then stole another vehicle that was also occupied by two children and their father. Etienne then attempted to shoot the father but the gun once again jammed. Etienne did manage to drive the car off with the two children still inside but crashed, upon which time police overpowered him and took him into custody. Etienne, who served years 10 years in prison for robbery, has been charged with two counts of armed robbery, attempted first degree murder, second degree kidnapping and attempted armed robbery. Etienne is presently incarcerated in Parish prison. Etienne, who last fought on May 14 this year, is best known for his first round loss to Mike Tyson in February 2003. Since his release from prison in 1998 Etienne has fought 35 times, winning 29, losing four and drawing twice. August 12, 2005" jaysus he had just fought nicolai valuev for the wba intercontinental heavyweight title a couple of months ago too. just shows how quick you can go from fighting for a (sort of) world title to being in a whole lot of trouble http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=289355 |
passionup: vic justice, this your opinion is a strong one ohh but i feel all hope isnt lost. there would always be a way sha. i believe that if am banned for 10years, i should be informed but in this case i havent been informed. I will not relent .OK, keep re-applying and keep binning your money. |
vickkyy: Good day everybody,i applied for a visiting visa to UK for 6days and i was refused based on the below grounds.I'm sorry to disappoint you by saying that i don't see how the administrative review will be of any help to your case: Narrating how you intend to manage your barely sufficient fund is not what the Judge wants to hear, it is obvious that you would have financial difficulties whilst in the UK; and worse still, you do not seem to have enough fund to live on if you return to Nigeria.
