CyberWolf:Brotherly, leave Nigerian government alone. I am telling you with 100percent assurance that they cannot do anything to stop the project. I am sure of what I am saying and nothing will be done against it. We can help the project by sending Ogbonna Onu, Ngige and Cockroach to front it for us to the federal government. |
investnow2013:Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Thank you Lord. People are seeing what I've been seeing since and what I have been thinking for a long time. Thank you Jesus! |
CyberWolf:You just said what have been on my mind since the day I was born. Bravo! |
carnegiefan:You have spoken like the true son of your father. The return on investment in that seaport is too tempting. With the way Lagos port is behaving, we should do what we can very fast to hit a big blow on the market. |
asha80:We can get the money from ourselves and dredge it. Since its not far from the sea, then it won't be too difficult. |
CyberWolf:This is the best idea. Start small and later grow it. It is better that way. |
investnow2013:My brother, don't run ur economy on another man's soil. What is happening in Lagos might just happen there. No matter what it takes, let's have our own. Our own is no other person's own. |
investnow2013:Investnow! Please scream it in their ears. Let them see what wise men are seeing. We have the opportunity to turn the fortune of this country, but we're being too lazy to take the mantle of leadership. Igbos, if ur economy is better than the other parts of the country, you have finally gotten the power you need. Power will come to you because you will control the fate of this country. I'm not saying this because I'm wicked, I'm only saying this because I don't want us to keep complaining about marginalisation. |
CyberWolf:We're planning to open a seaport at Obuaku. Which will open my beloved southeast to the world and abandon lagos dependency on its owners. If the seaport is dredge alittle since its just 5miles from the sea, then the eastern region can beat their chest that they're independent from the federal purse. |
asha80:I might not have the pictorial view of the Obuaku area now but from different information getting to me, I know a seaport is very feasible in that area. An offshore platform doesn't pose any threat to the country. If you say an offshore platform will cause a problem, then eko atlantic will also be a problem. You understand. Even without an offshore platform, I got another information on a confluence river where two rivers meet between Abia and Imo state. Confluence rivers are always deep and we can use that too. If Abia state people see a reason of building seaport, then there's high probability that it is feasible. Even if batches can come to the shore, the ocean liners can offload at the offshore platform. |
Women and trouble, like bread and butter |
asha80:To answer your question, a very brilliant idea was given by a patriotic igbo man in the moniker of lyn19. He said, we can build an offshore platform for our goods and use smaller ships to convey them to the shore. I think that's a brilliant idea. If you want something to be done, you'll always look for ways for it to be done. |
Igbo Kwenu! Igbo Kwenu!! Igbo Kwezuenu oooooo!!! I have been saying it and I will keep on saying it. Let's build seaport in the east. It is very important we understand the happenings of our country before we make decisions. The igbo tribe is blessed with men and women capable of being self-reliant but we love to throw away every opportunity of doing just that. Like someone said, Apapa is a gridlock. If you haven't been to Apapa/wharf you won't understand what these guys are saying. It is locked! But I think Lagosians are sharper than we the igbos. Lagos wants to build new seaport in Badagry and maybe lekki too. That means more money for the already congested state. Lagos has also opened new sites in Ibeju-lekki. Don't be surprised, that will be your lekki phase 3. What are igbos doing about it? Still lurking around and waiting for other people to do their job. I know many people will say seaport is not the important thing, oh! Please, our economy is being run on the sea! So, why can't you run your economy on your own sea? The IGR of Lagos state is presently 28billion, like 3/4 of it from who? Igbos! You cannot continue to feed other people and you continue to starve. We have even started importing from cotonou. Igbos can enrich other people but feel very lazy to do thesame thing at home. I still say it anywhere, build a seaport and see the east explode like a mad man. People will say Rivers, Calabar and Delta state has seaport. No! They don't! Why? Its either not functioning or they don't have people who can import/export from there. My people, we have people to export our goods to. We have goods and raw material that we need. We have investors to flirt with. We shouldn't sleep and let other states wake up before we do. We should wake faster than the others. Investors want igbos to do business because if we do business, they'll be rich! Build a seaport will be very expensive, but the real expensive thing is, not doing anything about it! Enjoy BTW: If all Obiano said there is true, prepare for an explosive anambra state in 10years time. |

Ambode the pastor, perform your wonders |
The day igbos become forceful in pushing collective needs, that's the day we will move forward. An average igbo man is selfish and self-centred. He only thinks about himself depending on who he is dealing with. Igboman thinks about himself alone when it comes to what will benefit his family members. Igboman thinks of his family when it comes to what will benefit the community. Igboman thinks of his local government when it comes to things that will benefit the whole state. Igboman thinks of his state when it comes to things that will benefit the region. Igboman thinks of his tribe when it comes to things that will benefit the country. Igbo man is greedy, but the rate of greed expands as what to be benefited increases. We need not look at our state of origin alone. We need to look at the whole igboland. Igboland needs to look at what will benefit the 40million+ igbo people in this world. Because, soon and very soon, we don't want to see what will make us cry. |
One signed a deal while the other was disgraced. |
Nnamdi Azikiwe, a true igbo man! He'll still represent in heaven. |
Some people just enjoy tribal e-war. I don't think its necessary, its basically childish. |
President of the most populous african time keepers in history! |
The research my brother and I made is that no west african country produces dairy milk which can be used for producing refined milk. All are imported from other parts of the world. The fulani grazing pattern is becoming old like allowing hen to move about before you kill it. That's slow! We can adopt nutrient based feeding which will make the cattles grow faster and healther and also produce milk earlier. This process is called "induced puberty" in some quarters. This will make the cattles grow faster and lactate faster. It is important that we know that this business is untapped and we can go all the way in this business if we take it serious. It is not a must for cattles to eat grasses (though its their first class food), but we can provide processed forms which we can get from our environment and carry it to them. It is low cost and will also give them food all year round. The way we can do this is this, we can find a clean grassland for them, prune it well so that it won't harbour tsetse-fly. Then we go to our neighbouring farms and get grasses from farmers who have cleared their farmlands. These grasses can be taken to a mini-lab and add protein supplements to it which will help them grow bigger and faster. Lactation can also be induced... I am still working on its possibility (I have not really taken my time) but I know I can get something done. This is good business! |
We're talking about anambra state developing, someone is busy pasting news article to malign an ex-governor. Even if he's the worst governor, he is the past and should remain there. What we care about is the present governor. I heard Obiano distributed cars the other day and he didn't distribute innoson cars. I don't get it. If I'm wrong someone should correct me. Distributing innoson cars will boost his business and make people see his cars more and also show that the government trusts his car. The governor should take note of this mistake and never repeat such again. We're begging. Obiano should try and manage resources within his means. He shouldn't over-spend thinking he'll get more. The economy is at its worst and we shouldn't fail our state and enter into debts like other states. That is why anambra indigenes in my vicinity are not happy with the way he is spending the money without caution. I am not hating on him, I am just trying to say what is wrong. We need this state to move forward. We're praying more than ever for things to work for the better. Anambra will be great and God will answer our prayers |
oncoded:Boy! Let me educate you now and stop disgracing yourself in public. Will you be happy if Ojukwu was taken to firing-squad and killed like a common criminal? Will you be happy that he was arrested and bastardised in jail? Do you know the insult that will be to the igbos if that happens? Do you how you will be treated if Ojukwu had been caught before he left? If you don't understand anything about war, the boss shouldn't be caught. It is better he runaway and come back to fight another day. Read books and listen to news and see what they have done to leaders that were caught during war. |
Tribalist thread on |
FKO81:They can only tell people who haven't toured the southwest. I know who they are and know what they can do. |
It is only some people who don't know the psychology of igbos that will say its land constraint that's making igbos build tall buildings. |
patrick89:Hahahahaha! Brother, u can say its like minds coming together. |
spyder880:Thanks brother, I just feel its a matter of necessity we open up our region. Its not a matter of choice but necessity! |
Good one from the governor. We need more of these in the state and with good management, the machines can be exported to different parts of the country and even outside ths country. We need to be ready for the future, because its going to be an interesting competition. We need to start planning for any eventuality in the nearest future. I am happy with this development, this will atleast help the region with amenities, employment and create more technical know-how for our people. I must confess, its a good development. I want to ask for a favour my brothers, how can I get email address of various igbo-owned media outlets, senators, governors, igbo associations, business associations, business men and other prominent people in the east. I am planning on reading this thread from the beginning to the end and jot out important points which I am going to raise and send to different people in the east. We need to start taking decisions ourselves and stop waiting for this country to help us. I am only trying to help and raise this topic to them. If anyone of you knows how to write, he can forward his write up to mail. But first, pm me and we discuss further. |
