vizkiz: I thought I was the only one who noticed how dumb the nigga is. Like getting a car before an apartment? Who thinks that way
Well, I thought people are suppose to learn each day but it seems the youths of this generation keeps getting dumber.
The major reason why it's gonna take a long time before average youths of this generation make it big is because we keep investing on unnecessary items.
Believe me I know that nigga is poor because he can't even afford cash to get a car and an apartment at the same time according to the OP's illustration...(chicken change for yahoo guys)
For a single guy in his category, what is the big deal if he gets an apartment (2bedroom flat) and use the other cash to furnish his apartment. But instead he acted like a dummy he is and went along to get a car (don't tell me it is because he really needs it. It is because he wants to cruise around and form "big boy" shey?) a car that can break down tomorrow and the amount you will use in repairing it will be thousands of naira. These guys no get sense again
Smh... Well, his money, his headache... Just wish the ladies of this generation are wise enough to read out how a man's financial destiny is structured FAINTS |

petkruz: Yea i'm so happy now. I opened a thread concerning me wanting to break up with my man concerning him buying a car and not calling. Well after reading some meaningful and not the "senseless" comments I decided to call to talk to him.
I got to find out he has forgiven me but I still need to win his trust. He explained about the car, that he felt it's step by step! The car had to come first before moving to a 3bedroom flat, afterall he's not comfortable with us jumping into buses.
I felt bad when he told me girls who weren't his girlfriends called him first and he waited for my call till morning and concluded he wasn't all that important afterall and decided not to call.
I'v made up my mind NEVER to hurt him again,he's a good man and deserves to be treated like a king.
Thanks romancelanders for really dragging my ears and telling me the truth especially daretodiffer, I cudnt read all comments but you kept sounding the truth into my ears,i'm a stubborn woman, but I got broken.
Ifeanyi I know u aint on Nairaland, but these guys are my witness,i promise never to hurt you or your feelings again.I have dated the good bad and ugly but in all, you are a man with the best heart and I wouldn't trade that for all the useless fun the world has to offer, thanks for loving a drama queen like me!

DonChippy: Unlike what many people might think, most of us guys never had it good all the time.
While hustling on the ever busy streets of Lagos, I had a date with a Nairaland member. The first date was awesome, she agreed to see me the second time.
On the third date, we stumbled on an old acquaintance who's car was parked outside. On getting out, my date simply refused to go with me. She exclaimed "who no sabi better thing?".
It was unfathomable that this Nairaland babe would dump me the instant she sees a Toyota corolla. I knew that moment I was dating an "Olosho" and it took me six months to recover from the shock.
What's your experience. Story for the gods |

Family › Re: Do I Take A Fifth Jamb Form At 23? Someone Please Help Me. by Vikky014(f): 9:15pm On Jan 03, 2016 |
burninghaven: I'm 23, finished my secondary school 8years ago, I was the best in a class of 31. after my graduation from high school. my mum had financial issues at that time and so i had to follow an uncle of mine who owns a computer institute, I was with him for about 3years, that was where i acquired some computer skills. When it was time for me to return to school, I obtained a jamb form. At first, all my relatives and friends taught I was going to murder jamb unfortunately for me, the reverse was the case cos i narrowly escaped the impact with a score of 213. I read harder for my pume but was not lucky enough, I had 49.
To say that I was devastated is an under statement, but nonetheless I obtained a second form this time around I prepared harder but I got 206 as my score my pume result was 53, so I was offered an admission to study physics but out of my stupidity and naivety I rejected the offer.
so I took another jamb, but I still didn't make it, it was as if my brain had gotten to its maximum limit. I got 202 and 47 as my jamb and pume scores respectively. At this junction I was beginning to lose faith in myself, i still took my fourth jamb, had 227, and I did a change of institution as advised by my mum's pastor. after the pume I felt terribly ill. today typhoid, tomorrow fever, a day after malaria, no one was talking about my admission, all my family ever wanted was seeing me get back on my feet again. The ailment lasted over a year, till date I don't even know what my pume score is. The followiing year which happens to be last year I didn't even bother to stress myself with jamb cos I had a lot of issues going on within me at that particular period.
About five months ago I went to see a doctor because i was having this constant pain in my head, and whenever I bend down to pick up something from the floor, my head becomes so heavy, its as if all the blood in my body will just flow straight to my head. so he gave me pain killers and other drugs, soon I got relieved.
Four months later the pain started again gradually not as serious as the previous one, so i visited another doctor, who after listening to all that I had to say, said I had psychological issues. He afterwards prescribed certain drugs to me which up until this day i never got any because I was tired and scared of takiing drugs having taken trailer load of drugs or the past 13-16 months.
Now I'm totally confused on what step to take next. I'm considering taking a fifth jamb, but my health is still not back to normal. i don't even know what to do anymore. people I tutored while I was still in secondary school are all progressing in life while I remain stagnant.
sorry for posting this here, I did it on purpose because i really really need good advice on what to do. pls treat ur health issues first forget JAMB for now. except if u can study very well despite ur health challenges |

Welder: Happy New Year People!
Four (4) years of marriage and I have been asking myself... I probably did wrong by marrying her. All I get now is insults like bastard, idiot, immature short man, etc...I have also been assaulted physically. Strangely, I have never raised my hands against her. Maybe am a weakling like she says...maybe!
My crime? Not sure...ranges from telling her things she does that are very wrong. Okay, a bit of our backgrounds....am 33, she's 29; we have a beautiful 3yr old girl. I work while she declined saying she would rather go into business. In summary, I got a loan to set her up, now she runs a fashion shop where she sells women beauty products(makeup, beads), wedding gowns etc.
Issues: She curses and hits the assistant (some refer to them as maids) at the slightest opportunity, now being from a very humble background; i show respect and love as much as i can to everyone. She will make them do the house chores from morning till night and you wonder how big a 3bedroom apartment is; most of the girls left after one or two months since they couldn't stand the constant torture and torment. I have had to step in on most occasions; especially when am back from work and someone is still cleaning some window and they haven't eaten all day. In her usual mannerisms, she says there must be more to my standing up for them...always insinuating that I probably am having an affair. She changes them also, for reasons that varies from not liking the way she looks to not answering her when she calls them. She recently got a cousin of hers from the village recently and while the move made sense to me since we can help her with better education and morally upright life; my wife's attitude wouldn't give it a rest. She hits this 10yr old constantly and makes her go through the same routine like the previous assistants. I had enrolled the 10 yr old girl in the same school with our child (to the chagrin of madam); even though the move set me back by almost 300k; I was just happy that she will be learning. To my horror, th school headmistress called me close to the end of last term about the constant absence of this child, I confronted my wife who denied it. On a work and school day, I decided to come home unannounced, only to see this 10yr old washing some clothes. I was very angry and confronted my wife who said the school had finished exams and were not doing anything meaningful, and my question was, why allow our baby there then?
She's very fat. Even though our baby is 3+, wifey still looks like she's 8months pregnant. Simple eating habits are not practiced, she eats late into the night daily and really does consume large doses. Even though am 4yrs older, she looks way older than I am. I reckon its due to her bad eating habits.
We are both graduates, while I have a masters degree and just rounded up an MBA with some other professional qualifications on the side; she isn't interested in furthering her education. The business that was setup with huge funds over 2yrs ago hasnt turned in a single dime. That is inspite of me solely bearing the loan repayments, salaries of the sales girls and the previous assistants at home...and am wondering what have i gotten myself into.
Lastly, she wouldn't go to church, wouldn't pray with me, wouldn't read or do anything meaningful but tell me how her friends are been taken care of by their hubbies. Constantly on FB, Instagram, 2go, Twitter and even Nairaland.I hope she sees this!
Am wondering, how exactly do i resolve this litany of issues. Divorce isnt an option, talking to her family to intervene isnt an option either as I don't want third parties in our home. It just breaks me...she is very different from the girl i married. PRAY OVER IT She need deliverance |

intbizoil: The reason why the God factor is important in marriage. It is never as clear as white, looking at the reasons you gave they are very perfect in our eyes as humans but it is only God that makes the difference through revelation. You talked about she not praying with you, I want to ask was it like that before you married her?. Did you bring God into the equation during courtship or you felt that everything was in place already so let me jump in. For the yet to be married ones, you need to seek the face of God. Please marry God fearing spouses, somebody who you know loves the things of God not pretenders and you will never regret. Nice advice |
