Over righteous mofos, Blaming the parents, Just so I let you ppl blaming the parents knw, not every mother can afford a house in GRA, or has a cot to place the baby in, or even a househelp to look after the baby in her absence, The mother prolly laid the kid down on the floor to attend to other house chores after the baby must have slept off, and I am putting my money on it that she laid the baby outside cos the house/hut/batcher she lives in must have been too hot for the kid, So before y'all jump on your fancy laptops and computers and point fingers at a grieving woman, do well to think of every possible option, Its not as if she delibratly took the baby to a zoo and placed it inside the snakes pit, Before y'all started pointing fingers and calling the mother careless, did u bother to stop and think of what kind of area the mother must live in where a snake of this size could thrive, Abeg anybody wey no get wetin to talk make e just look, fold hand waka pass, Meanwhile, how dem wan do that snake meat, That snake bleep up gast to be treated with Banga soup and small stout
Listen to yourself excusing the inexcusable. . . How many people would leave their mobile phones lying down outside unmonitored talkless of a 6 month old? Even animals don't just leave their babies carelessly, what most people who don't have money to employ helps would do in her shoes would be to strap the baby on the back!. . .not leave her on a mat outside all by herself, it's the most careless thing i have ever heard of! |
quite a number of séx starved people all in one single thread! |
erhm, who does the the Chief of Army staff report to again? |
Fimmy:Get your facts right son, Libya has a constitution which became invalid after a military coup in 1969 which was led by Gadaffi. Since then, Gaddafi's Green book and oral pronouncement became law in Libya. and NO, he did a lot wrong by shooting at peaceful protesters to begin with. This is a video of how the protest began, many of those in the video have either been killed, or bombed into submission. others fled Libya for their lives. , . .The protesters took up arms to fight for their lives and freedom. [flash=435,325] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-pF-POM0Dw?fs=1[/flash] It's disturbing how evil the world has suddenly become. A tyrant bares the fang of his military on his people, and when outsiders intervene, the tyrant is seen as the victim what a world we live in! |
Fimmy:under which constitution? Libya does not even have a constitution, Gadaffi's word is Law! The so called rebels were initially peaceful protesters who took up arms after their government brought the might of the military on them! Timehin:For the umpteenth time, this is not Iraq, this is Libya. the US should be held responsible for whatever happend in Iraq, in this case, several countries are speaking with the same voice, why is it difficult for you to even comprehend. I don't see the lots of you coming out like ants to condemn Gaddaffi when he hired mercenaries to shoot his own people at random, I didn't see you earthworms crawling out when Gaddaffi resorted to the use of fighter jets on his own people. If you had been patient enough to follow the events of the news and not rush to brash conclusions, you would have realised that every diplomatic means possible has been explored, but the tyrant remained defiant. Again, if you had spent some time reading the news, you would have discovered that Russia is NOT against the invasion, President Dmitry Medvedev told Prime minister Putin to shut the fúck up, i took the time to find the excerpts for you, you can thank me later By Monday evening disagreement between Putin and Medvedev looked even more evident as the Russian president called Putin’s statement “inadmissible.” “Russia did not exercise [the veto power] for one reason,” Medvedev retorted. “I do not consider this resolution to be wrong. Moreover, I believe that this resolution generally reflects our understanding of what is going on in Libya…It is absolutely inexcusable to use expressions that in effect lead to a clash of civilizations – such as ‘crusades,’ and so on. That is unacceptable,” Medvedev said. |
tonte23:Why is it a foolish question? In as much as this is a strange unfortunate incident, we shouldn't turn a blind eye to the irresponsible acts of the parents who left a 6 months old baby alone on the mat outside. They should be blamed!. . . . The python didn't swallow the baby in seconds! |
Fúck! |
MeGaStReEt:shusssh! ![]() nonsense! It's amazing how many people still live with a clownish ideology. |
phew! When i insisted on the dominance of the West, i wasn't talking in economic terms, but rather military terms. Economically, China is likely to overtake US as the biggest economy, but even at that, one cannot be too sure, the same has been said of Japan and the Eurozone, which in most situation are always marked with an initial erratic growth before a final peak. In terms of military, the west will remain the Inglorious bersterds throughout the next century! Like it or not, this is just the case. |
Why do People make this thing an "American" thing? when so many countries are involved? America was one of the last countries to back military support, i don't see anyone mentioning France on this thread. As for those who think because coalition forces haven't intervened in genocidal cases in the past, it shouldn't do the same in the future or the present, I wonder if you people have an IQ figure the same number as your age. |
Pharoh:do you have some authority around here that we should be aware of? |
strangleyo:By your logic, if everyone has a right to bear arms and has a military training, then that ought to keep invaders at bay? . . . .Ridiculous, in a world Tomahawks missiles? Who says you can't be shot from a thousand miles away? |
Russia's ruling tandem showed signs of an open crack for the first time as President Dmitry Medvedev publicly scolded Prime Minister Vladimir Putin for harshly criticising the U.N. Security Council resolution allowing military action in Libya. Mr. Putin condemned the resolution as a “deficient and flawed” document that reminded him of “medieval calls for crusades”. Shortly afterwards, Mr. Medvedev called Mr. Putin's remarks “impermissible”. Speaking at a missile factory in central Russia on Monday, Mr. Putin said the U.N. resolution “effectively allows interference in a sovereign state” and called the Western intervention a “foreign invasion”. In response, Mr. Medvedev defended the resolution as prompted by Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi's crimes and stood by Russia's decision to abstain in the Security Council vote rather than use the right of veto. “Russia did not exercise [the veto power] for one reason: I do not consider this resolution to be wrong. Moreover, I believe that this resolution generally reflects our understanding of what is going on in Libya,” said Mr. Medvedev. Mr. Putin also lashed out at the U.S. policy of intervention in other countries' affairs. He described it as a “stable trend,” recalling the U.S. air strikes on Belgrade under President Bill Clinton, as well as Afghanistan and Iraq under the two Bush administrations. “Now it's Libya's turn — under the pretext of protecting civilians,” said the Premier. “Where is logic and morality? There is neither.” Mr. Putin made his remarks shortly after visiting U.S. Secretary of Defence Robert Gates hailed Moscow's siding with Washington on Iran, Afghanistan and Libya and called for the Russian military to join Western coalition forces. “The ongoing events in Libya prove that Russia is right in strengthening its defence capabilities,” said Mr. Putin. http://www.thehindu.com/news/international/article1559105.ece |
A country's real strength in terms of military does not only depend on what it has in its arsenal, but more on the kind of allies it has. Britain has recently cut down it's military spending by a significant amount, but yet, it will take balls more than the size of watermelon for you to even think of invading Britain. For the dolt who thinks nothing continues forever, I have always known that you couldn't think beyond your nose, if a country spends an amount on military, more than twice the figure of other country's yearly budget, how the hell would its dominance in military terms not continue forever? Those dudes are making weapons of the future, what the fúck does Nigeria boast of? Libya has a far advanced military system than Nigeria does and its military capability was crippled in one night. The storm shadow cruise missile could be shot through your window from 200 miles away! |
We are officially the dumbest people on the planetI take exception to this statement, I would prefer that each individual speak out for himself/herself. Agreed none of the candidate is good enough, but hey, like it or not, Nigeria has got to be lead by someone, and a few smart individuals cannot change or bend the opinion of ten million uninformed others. Nigerians are not dumb, far from it, it takes more than an average level of intelligence to swindle others of their money, and when the push comes to shove, and all nations are listed by the number of frauds committed in each, surely we rank tops, how then can you say Nigerians are dumb? Yes majority of Nigerians are crude and uninformed, which themselves are factors that stemmed from poverty and tribal sentiments. It's a shameful thing that even highly educated ones among us are rather driven by tribal sentiments than by the power of genuine ideas, I don't have to search too far to look for examples to back up this claim, we could easily just pick Beaf of Nairaland as an appropriate case study. To this end, there is actually not much that can be done, when the uninformed outnumbers the informed by a ratio of 99 to 1, then the informed would almost always eventually be led by the uninformed. |
If a radical white supremacist group reals its head in Britain and causes mayhem in the country, does their prime minister not have the right to quell these people, who are armed from head to toe? Or should the UN come in and stop the prime minister and his government for putting in the mechanism to disintegrate the rebellion against the government?
The comparison you are attempting to bring up here has no correlation with the Libyan situation. At the start of the Protest, a MAJORITY of the Libyan populace lend their voice, their sweat, and their blood. . .spending days and night on a standstill insiting their leader must relinquish power for a democratic system. Then the bombing start. . .the tyrant bombed the people into submission, his mercenaries shot unarmed civilians, there were calls from both within Libya and outside of Libya for help, the African Union made no single statement! The bombings continue, Gadaffi's supposed well trained army fought with poorly trained rebels who were initially unarmed protesters. Gadaffi's army used advantage of co ordinated air raids and land strikes against these same people demanding for freedom, African Union was no where to be found. Libyan diplomats all around the world resigned their positions in protest, top military officials deflected to the side of the rebels, they called on the Arab league and the International community to stop Gaddaffi's madness, where was African Union amidst all these? |
Why should anyone take some bunch of clowns that call themselves African Union seriously?. . .They messed up the Ivory Coast situation, now the world sees them as a fúcking joke! Where was the African Union when Ghaddafi marched troops on Benghazi? |
cap28:I am trying to imagine the looks and frustration on your face as you read this again Gadaffi is owned! |
@OP Job security is when a commercial séx-vendor ensures her customers wore condoms I bet the president wouldn't be able to define what good luck is if asked . .he'd probably go along the lines of "good luck is a name of a person whose immediate superiors experience such woeful lucks which always eventually paves way for him to hold positions he's in the least bit qualified for" I will hope someone will still come here and tell me the President of the Federal republic of Nigeria ain't a Móron! |
ROSSIKE:. . . .says the forum ídiot |
Newscaster:How come the opinions of the individuals who make up a population does not count, but the opinion of the population counts? @Seun, just in case you come by this thread and happen to be reading this, pls can you get to extend the mechanism of the Spam bot to filter out ídiots? |
the arab nations who sanctioned this assault are traitors, saboteurs and western puppets, but above all they owe their current secure positions to the US military aid that they receive by way of millions of dollars, they are in cahoots with the US/UK alliance and have sold out their own people in order to retain their draconian grip on power (much like the nigerian leaders) do not for one minuite think that these people are legitimate leaders with the mandate of their people - they sold out a long time ago. Essentially they gave up the sovereignty of their nation in exchange for milijtary aid from the US/UK.What the fúck! By your assessments, anyone and everyone who supports an action of a western leader is a traitor, saboter and a western puppet! Anyone who receives military aid from the west is a western puppet!. . .if we follow this logic more closely, then China and Russia ought to be UK toys, considering the fact that until very recently, both countries receive millions in pounds from the UK government, and India is to continue receiving aids till about 2015. Oh! and Russia is still recieving aids from the United States, yet both countries are never on the same page, policy wise. Why exactly does it become too hard for you to believe that these countries, are willing to collaborate with the west, to save Libyans from the cold torture of their government? Are you saying Libyan diplomats who resigned their positions and called for International assistance did so under the influence of the west as well? How about Gaddafi's close associates who resigned their positions as political advisers and ambassadors? How about ranking military officials who defected to the sides of the rebels? are they all traitors, saboteurs and western puppets? Is the West paying all these people? Is the West paying those in Libya to take up arms and face a well trained army? gadaffi was the last arab leader who wanted to retain power on his own terms - he wasnt prepared to let the IMF in to devalue the libyan currency and impose the kind of austerity measures that the likes of jonathan and co agree to without considering the effect it has on his people, he wasnt prepared to be a slave for exxon mobil, chevron, shell and all the other neo liberal predators, he wasnt prepared to act like a cowadly slave like the nigerian leaders have done - for that reason he is paying a very dear price.I could assert from your post, that your blind hatred for any western, whether justified or not, heavily influences your sense of Judgment. Now, Ghadaffi is the victim isn't it?. . .is there something about you that we need to know? I am trying hard to imagine if you would have opened a thread such as this, should it be the case that a call for a NFZ had failed and Gaddaffi had succeded in killing ten thousand Libyans because the dared oppose his government. . . .oh wait a minute, to you that would have been great news, anything to keep Gaddafi on sounds like a great idea, isn't it? |
^^^ How come you mentioned America and not France or the UK? How come you omitted Australia which is planning on committing military assets? I also can't find Spain in your 'rational' statement, surely you know that Spain has pledged to donate her airbase for military onslaught! oh, and where is Joradan and Qatar? both countries are committing top ranking military officers in the operation. . .and of course, Lebanon?. .the sponsor of the UN resolution? I can't also see you mentioning the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Egypt, Kuwait, Algeria and the rest of the Arab league, how come it's only the United States who possibly have something to gain?. . .especially considering the fact that US, unlike the rest of the EU was not dependent on Libyan oil, economically. If you could tell why the rest of those countries are supporting the resolution, then perhaps we could take you seriously |
Kobojunkie:Laugh wan tear my belle. Perhaps, the 22 member Arab league who threw full weights, including offering military support, behind the no fly zones resolution were also bent on "stealing Libya's oil" In the near future, we should also expect conspiracy theories on how the US made Nigerian students fail WAEC. . |
Mind you India, china, Brazil Germany and one other country refused to vote.China and Russia both have veto powers, all it would have required was a single vote against the resolution from either of them for the resolution to be confined to the bins. . .but they didn't It's just a very diplomatic way of saying "we support it in style, but refuse to share the blame, if it all turns sour" |
Chrisbenogor:The question is not whether or not the Arab leaque has the military might to set up a no fly zone, the concerns that should be addressed is why the Arab league has done so. . .except of course you would like to believe that the Arab league is colluding with the West to steal Libya's oil. It's so sad that you have chosen to ignore the immediate impact of the absence of a no fly zone over Libya. without this resolution, Benghazi would be a blood bath in 48 hours, and yes, this is no call of duty, real lives are at stake, real Libayn lives who need to be protected from the might of their own military. Thousands are dead already, would you prefer that the rest of the world keeps quite and potentially do nothing while thousands more might be killed by this same time tomorrow? or are you just pretending not to have heard Ghadaffi vowed to show no mercy to all oppositions in Bengahzi? Are you saying in the name of avoiding another IRAQ situation, it is permissible for a few more thousand Libyans to die in the hands of Qaddafi? The resolution is simple, "If you drop bombs on civilians, we will shoot your planes down". . . why should that be wrong? |
Log in to Nairaland and press the delete button on your laptop. . .make sure you hold it down for 15 secs |
Chrisbenogor:Did i read somewhere that you mentioned that "This is very unfair to the Libyan people". . . .or have i had too much wine to drink? who are the primary callers for the No Fly Zone? The British people? What you haven't realized is that everyone has learned a thing or two from the Iraqi war, thus the delayed response from the US in backing a UN approval for a no flight zone, along with strong demands that Arab country's participate fully in terms of military, so as to debunk all claims of western interference. countries like Jordan, Qatar and UAE are likely to join military forces. Ghadaffi is killing is own people like chicken, dropping all manner of objects and explosives on em!. . .true, this could lead to a longer term unstable situation, but the only alternative on ground is to watch the tyrant kill over a hundred thousand people in Benghazi |
Chrisbenogor:You don't get it! The contents of the Resolution authorizes "all necessary measures short of an occupation force" to protect the lives of civilians. Jets could take off from French military bases along the Mediterranean coast, about 750 miles from Libya and Several Arab countries would join the operation. All these could happen within the hour! Not to mention that US already has 5 war ships stationed off the coast of Libya, Ghaddafi's airforce and possible ground troops are owned! |
^^ No one is out here to debate the usage of English terms. "A no flight zone" apparently means the same as "A no fly zone". The UN has been sort of slow on this, I am betting my penny that France would be pushing for more direct military attacks on Libya airforce, and runways. Ghadaffi's life will never remain the same again! Let the F-22s take to the sky, those birds are capable of doing the impossible, i tell ya! |
