Politics › Re: ADC: FG’s 2026 Budget Proposal Is ‘Building A House On Quicksand’ by Vision101(m): 3:45am On Dec 23, 2025 |
hatchy: Tinubu is building Nigeria the way he built Lagos. He has imported more than enough cement, bought enough from Dangote, BUA and Ibeto.
This incompetent man will ground Nigeria and bring it to it's knees beginning few days from now. Nigeria cannot survive with this tax laws that's coming into effect soonest. Nigeria cannot also grow into prosperity by constantly borrowing to service debts and fund the lavish lifestyle of politicians and government officials.
Our eyes will soon clear. The choices a few people made, Mahmood, the judiciary, politicians, and tribal jingoists will soon yield fruits come January 2026. Shege pro max is awaiting everyone. Contradictory statement. 1 Tinubu is building Nigeria the way he built Lagos. Question: Is Lagos not doing well? A state in Nigeria that is almost the fifth largest economy in Africa. 2. Lagos was the first state in Nigeria to go to the bonds market when Tinubu was governor. What is the effect today? 3. You call him the incompetent man. For a long time this is the first time Christmas without fuel queue. The direction of the price is looking south. By this time last year you were bothering us with how much a bag of rice is as if life depends on rice alone. You are not talking this time. Some two years ago it was bleak Christmas for civil servants. Some were owed over 24 months salary areas. This Christmas governors are paying 13th month salary to civil servants courtesy of the policies of the "incompetent" man. Ha ha ha. |

NwokoloOwa: Dangote is talking nonsense. Complete jazz. But it's still from this heavily taxed domestic market that you became Africa's richest man.
There is always something to hold when capitalists want to deceive and lie. Now it is no more lack of power and electricity. There was a time that was the mantra, no power, no electricity. Now it's taxes.
Haba. You don't know export. You don't know law Someone sent next polyester ties to me from the UK. When I looked at the labels they were made in China. Price per unit was £8. I wondered. That's almost #16,000. I can get a fair made in China silk tie for this amount or a little above here in naija. This amount can give me about two good polyester made in China ties in here in naija. What is the issue - tax and tax. UK has high tax relative to naija. |

Focusmind: Chei, Taiwo fall hand, big time - He should not allow politicians to rubbish his professional career.
I believe that the insertion of that 20% deposit on disputed assessment was done on purpose. FIRS have been looking for ways to make their decisions final and conclusive in any assessment without the opportunity of the tax payer making recourse to the court for adjudication. How can you tell me or my company to deposit 20% of assessment you did on my income, first, before I begin to challenge it? This has been one of the grounds for objection under PITA and CITA. |

They will not praise PBAT's policies. Imagine a Christmas without fuel scarcity and prices are going down.
Rice is at a reasonable price now. The foreign exchange rate has stabilized. State governments are paying 13th month salary unlike before when workers were owed several months areas.
The major challenge now is insecurity. Trust PBAT he will fix it. |

Chase the competitors out with the price war, take control of the entire structure and thereafter become a monopolistic thing god.
The government and the relevant regulatory agencies should do their duties and enforce fair play.

They will buy anything that KAZEEM recommends, and to top it up, they just buy from any where without concern. Some think they buying Mobil 1 but don’t even know they are buying oil blended in Aba.
Another one is using water for coolant 🤣🤣🤣 Water for coolant? Coolants come in small containers and expensive. The cost will be heavy if you use only coolant because of the volume that will fill the radiator. I usually use water and add one or two cans of coolant. |

That isn't restructuring. Adeleke refused to bend the knee that's why it's being applied in Osun state. Other governors including those in opposition parties agreed to bend the knee that's why it wasn't applied against them? The same Adeleke that begged to join APC and was rejected and he decamped from PDP to accord of all parties? |

What are the versions passed by the legislature and the version gazetted by the executive. If the house has set up a committee to investigate the complaints why further noise? You are asking for restructuring and this is one step taken and you are here insulting. If he refuses to restructure you will again insult. I want to ask you one question: will the tax law be used by PBAT's regime alone and jettisoned at the end of his regime. The same law will be used by your Lord and personal saviour if and when he becomes president. He will enjoy the benefit of what he is condemning today. You should think critically and talk sensibly. |

njokuuche77: This is one of the most intelligent governors Nigeria has today. Leadership is not about silence or indifference but courage, dialogue, and responsibility. Governor Otti has shown maturity by choosing engagement over neglect, peace over posturing, and humanity over politics. I wish he wont retire from Politics because his type don dey finish for Nigeria. Why didn't he dialogue and engage before now? If he did, did he counsel his son? What his son did didn't show that he embraced dialogue, negotiation and engagement. His visit will only produce results if he counsels his son to first be remorseful. Then openly confess. Next he should apologize first to the south east that he harmed, late president Buhari, PBAT, entire judiciary, specifically justice Omotosho and the entire nation Nigeria. He must make an irrevocable promise never to trade on his old path. If Oti's visit didn't achieve these then we would conclude that it was all politics. |

Saraki's led 8th assembly has written their names in gold as the only vibrant house of assembly Nigeria has had in the new dispensation. To describe Nigeria as a banana republic under Tinubu is an understatement. Point out the achievements of Saraki led 8th assembly within the first two years and compare it with Akpabio led 10th assembly of two years and let's see. |

They need to be rejected. Obi said that it's a leadership failure. Hence he has been part of the leadership then he is part of the failure. Each time Obi talks he forgets that he has been in political leadership for a long time. What is his score card? All these years that he has been in positions what policies did he put up to create employment? All his talks are just like pointing fingers to others and never pointing any to himself. He paints the picture of everyone have failed and only him can do it. No problem. For every thing you condemn should us what you did better when you had the opportunity. This will help us assess what you will do if and when we give you the opportunity. |
