LadyExcellency: No, it will be used in running Venezuela and expanding exploration and revamping old oil wells. Venezuelans are expecting diversification and expansion of investment in the country.
Sanctions will be lifted. Socialism is dead in Venezuela. Prosperity at last. You are joking. You think that USA will love you more than you love yourself? Why do they hate China? It's all about American interest. |

AMINDA: Lol. Empirical evidence after doctoring the statistics and baselines right? Beyond statistics, go to the open market. Talk to the populace. I'm well schooled in finance and economics but beyond this what I do bring me closer to various groups - professionals, salary earners, traders, youths, children etc. Definitely there is upswing in economy by end of 2025 relative to 2024. It is expected that the same trend will continue in 2026. The reforms are maturing. |
Politics › Re: World Bank Raises Nigeria’s 2026 Economic Growth Rate Projection To 4.4% by Vision101(m): 5:32pm On Jan 14 |
AMINDA: Nigeria is now chasing after validation from the Worldbank and IMF when the reality on ground speaks otherwise. How has the Worldbank-inspired policies been working for the country? We had 30 trillion budget deficit in 2025 (a revelation that cost the Finance Minister his job) and are currently implementing 3 consecutive budgets despite Tinubu having borrowed the most than all previous presidents with no commensurate projects to show. The Worldbank will always stay happy as long as you devalue your currency when asked to do so and continue to borrow from them. If the world bank has said otherwise you would have accepted it. Empirical evidence is showing that the reforms are turning out positive. A comparison of real life activities for 2024 and 2025 clearly show so. Haters will privately accept this. I look forward to 2026 being better than 2025. |

obonujoker: Not possible.
The bulk stops at the table of the president.
If the people are complaining, then a reasonable president will appoint and deploy teams to ensure the money is being used and not stolen, but since the head is like the body, the head carries the blame You missed it. Nigeria is a federation. The bulk stops on the table of the LG chairman for council issues. Ditto for states. The president cannot query LG chairman or State governor on how they spend their money. He can't withhold their FAC for no legal reasons. He can't determine what the budget of a state should be. You saw all the noise when a state of emergency was declared in Rivers State and the governor temporarily suspended. When it comes to responsibility most Nigerians that don't understand the system assume that we operate a unitary system. Again I repeat hold your governors accountable. The president has no legal right to query them on how they spend their money. If there is any precedent set in this country before now please point out to me. |

Politics › Re: Governor Oborevwori: Massive Funds Are Coming To States From Tinubu’s Government by Vision101(m): 12:21am On Jan 13 |
fineboynl: It's inflation and not more money sir. During pdp hilux could be gotten for 15m. How much is hilux right now?
It's inflation. It doesn't translate to more money Convert the budget of a particular state with the exchange rate then and convert the budget of the same state with the exchange rate now and compare. The confession came from one of the major actors and you are here twisting it. FYI the tax reforms will bring more. Personal Income Tax belong to states solely. The lazy governors that couldn't increase their IGR will have a boom courtesy of reengineering of our economy by PBAT. When your governor begins to launch projects you will clap for him but you will forget the man that took all the insults to make it possible. |

Politics › Re: Governor Oborevwori: Massive Funds Are Coming To States From Tinubu’s Government by Vision101(m): 12:07am On Jan 13 |
AMINDA: Of course. Tinubu takes money out of the pockets of struggling Nigerians via taxation and hands it over to governors with immunity. He then turns around and asks the citizens to hold the governors accountable. Everyone who opposed the removal of subsidy argued that it would just be more of the same and nothing will change. They have been proven right. Nigerians were better of with subsidy. Now, it's just governors enjoying the largesse and people still wonder why they are all defecting to APC. Hold your governor accountable irrespective of party. The president has unlocked the treasure gate for states unlike before. States have been empowered to generate their own electricity etc. |

Politics › Re: Emilokan’: Elite Taking Turns To Destroy Nigeria – Bugaje by Vision101(m): 10:11pm On Jan 12 |
Antoeni: One big shortcomings of this current government is its INABILITY TO PLAN, to carry out cost-benefit analysis of decisions or SWOT analysis of policies. There is little thinking long and hard on issues. It looks it acts on knee-jerk basis before thinking. Look at these:
-- Removed fuel subsidy without plan for likely consequences. -- Floated Naira without plan to counter likely consequences. -- Placed sanctions against Niger before sending envoys to talk to military junta over there. No consultations or analysis of consequences. -- Implemented post-subsidy palliatives without any plan. -- Installed bloated government with many idle ministers and sides without thinking about the financial consequences. -- Focusing largely on monetary and fiscal affairs without any plan to stimulate economic, boost export and earn forex. I will like to see your CV with concrete evidence of establishments that you grew. It will be very bad if you know this much but no evidence of having grown an establishment from nothing to blue chip. |

TV/Movies › Re: LG Electronics Nigeria Issues Consumer Alert On Counterfeit TVs by Vision101(m): 1:38am On Jan 11 |
No dettolgel: Why are the rich "oppressing" the poor?
If not for the "fake products from China" many people would never be able to afford a flat screen Tv - How many families in Nigerian are buoyant enough to cough out 500 to 800 euros for a quality LG TV?
How many have the resources to even buy original quality phones or other gadgets?
I am not saying that "fake product" should be allowed into the country but as long as there is huge disparity in terms of income and as long as the rich continue "taunting" the poor with their riches the poor will always look for alternative product so as not to feel left out.
In most society, where the income gap is not that wide and where people earn living wage, the chances of opting for fake goods is very low. In fact, most people won't waste their money on such given that they can afford real and quality products and that the system protect them as customers in terms of failure of the product.
Anyways, as long as poverty is supreme in Nigeria and as long as the poor wants to live like the rich, opportunist will exploit the situation and will continue selling fake and dangerous products. See empty logic. Let them sell their brand at their own price and stop pirating. |

But with Peter Obi joining, he has breathed life into the party, no doubt about that, it's now a party to reckon with.
APC us now in panick mood! Datti, Obi's former running mate said that ADC has no Buhari, no Jonathan and no Tinubu. So Obi has finally joined structure of criminality. During campaign they will play his yes daddy tape up north. They will remind him of his support for IPOB. I will like him to tell us how he will reverse all Tinubu policies because he condemns all of them. He must tell us clearly what he will do differently. If ADC doesn't get it right in 2027, then we're in for a long ride with APC APC is not a coalition. It's a merger. In Nigerian political history it was the first time. Jakarta: Way you fly lost from my mention. Folks like you are the problems of this country. Given our vast natural resources and human capital, should we be comparing anything with Ghana? So if they ask you what is the exchange rate for NGN - GHS you will say it is ₦133 - 1000GHS? A failure will never run out of excuses. Poor you and empty assumptions. Check political and economic history. Natural resources alone don't make nations rich. If it is African countries wouldn't have been the richest. Who is comparing Ghana and Nigeria. Is there any basis for such? Lagos economy is the fifth largest economy in Africa. Someone like you that rides on degrading Nigeria and hyping anything from other countries brought up an unintelligent comparison just to mock Nigeria for whatever they think that they gain and some people like me showed the emptiness of his economic logic. |
Business › Re: Excited Man Flaunts Bundle Of Naira After Exchanging 800 Cedis (Photos/Video) by Vision101(m): 2:39pm On Jan 10 |
Jakarta: Not surprised, when official exchange rate is #133 to 1 Ghanaian cedi. No be our disgraced country of concern again? Nothing dey surprise me again. Actual value is #133 to 1000 Cedis. They removed zeros without value. Nigeria can do the same but it's meaningless. |
Business › Re: Excited Man Flaunts Bundle Of Naira After Exchanging 800 Cedis (Photos/Video) by Vision101(m): 2:36pm On Jan 10 |
Dreal1247: When the head is valueless, every other part of the body automatically be comes valueless. We need to go back to the drawing board and upgrade the value of the Nigerian Naira. The 800 Cedis that they removed many 000. That 800 is actually 800,000. Nigeria can make our 1,000 become #10. In all of these it doesn't add any value to the economy. Devaluation has pros and cons. Relative to the dollar, how much is: One Japanese yen? One Italian lira? Indian rupy? Chinese currency? Does it mean that all these economies are weak? |

Looks like the South West branch of the APC are only interested in stopping an easterner from becoming a president of Nigeria for whatever reason. That seem to be.the main goal and unfortunately the only goal for Tinubu and his gang.. If I may ask why is Obi talking chochocho? Is he the only presidential candidate? Atiku even though in opposition doesn't talk chochocho like Obi. Advice your principal. |
