AustineE1: 'Rewarding' indeed,he is just appeasing his worst critics in order to avoid further exposure, he is a man afraid of his past. Appeasing people with questionable character is the greatest disservice to this nation, you are sending wrong message to the younger ones. You are telling them that an ignominious and shady lifestyle pays in Nigeria. That charlatans can always get what they want in Nigeria. That in itself is a tragedy! Reno is a shady character because he changed from criticizing PBAT to supporting him? Can you hear yourself. |

Winch hunting isn't going to be condoned. But if they have dipped their hands in the cookie jar, let them face the consequences Since he hasn't touch any you all claim that he hoisted Buhari on Nigeria and that his government was the most corrupt. Now he picks one or two then the theory changes. This is the bane of Nigeria. |

matify83: Hope they will be adequately armed with high caliber rifles like what the kidnappers/terrorists and bandits who lurk in these forests also carry?
Issuing low caliber daneguns to them will make them sitting ducks for target practice.
Instead of the multiplicity of arm bearing apparati within our security framework, what stops the government from sending a bill for the creation of state police?
We have too many agencies duplicating the duties of the police today.
Good call all the same.
Nature abhors a vacuum You can set up state police through bill but through constitutional amendment. The national Assembly have started but the process is complex. |

How can the federal government effectively do so from Abuja? When you have dumb governors and LG chairmen, what can the president do? Just go ahead and do it yourself otherwise if they kidnap one person in a LG they will call the president. |

Oga calm down and stop all this eye service. First of all the government is using debt to repay another debt.we don't even know the full details of the bond being floated to repay the genco debts. Again if there is no compliance monitoring especially on the distribution side, the government will stillcome back to the same problem. The winners here are the genco owners, the Elumelus and co as they are about to become richer. Eye service to who? Have I ever met Tinubu before? What will the government use to pay? Print money? Use reserves? When you have debt and the debt doesn't allow you to operate what do you do? Technically it's to restructure the debt. The beauty of this is that it's tradeable. Gradual easing of subsidy will easily allow government to pay off at maturity. |

All the online chochocho boys will not come here. This is too technical for them. I have said it several times that the problems that we are facing now started years back. All former presidents took the easy way out. This is the only president that decided to go to the root of the problems. It's a tough option.
You want 24 hours electricity. You don't want to pay cost-effective tariff. MDAs are owing discos heavily. The discos that were selected under OBJ and Atiku lack technical and financial capacity. The subsidy on power taken from gencos have not been paid for years. How can you have 24/7 electricity?
I love the financial arrangement. It's sustainable. Honestly Nigeria will be the loser if they don't allow PBAT to finish the program that he started. All these populist presidential candidates will not go this deep to realign our economy. |

Soludo is still in APGA for strategic reasons. Oti is still in LP for the same reasons. The Kano governor is waiting for his oga. One way or the other they love to be with PBAT. The governors have never had it so good. Governance has been made so easy for them by PBAT's restructuring. The only outstanding challenge is security. |

Even his goons have left him in pdp. Wike is gone. Wike is in APC. He can't make it official. It will amount to openly handing over the party to his enemies. He will keep fighting. If he succeeds, he will have a PDP that is fully his that he can reorganize after 2027. If he loses he will move officially to APC after all rivers state is already APC and all his boys are there. He authorized everything that is happening in Rivers State. |

Ofunaofu: With this Defection
Who is the APC leader in Rivers State?
But what exactly does Fubara expect the PDP to do, resort to anarchy or attempt to form a parallel government? Certainly not. PDP is more refined than the janjawiiiiid ideology APC
The PDP acted appropriately within a democratic framework by approaching the Supreme Court. That the Supreme Court failed to treat the matter with the urgency it deserved shows us something troubling: while we condemn military coups in other African countries, in Nigeria we are witnessing a civilian coup d’état, a system where power is seized through manipulation, impunity, judicial banditry, disregard of rule of law, the constriction of the political space and a grab it, snatch it, and run away with it mentality. What can you say about Adeleke's rejection by APC and his defection to Accord of all parties? |

We are watching 😆 Very correct 💯. US is pained that China is gradually distancing them from Nigeria. The tariff war didn't affect Nigeria. Not much economic activity is happening between the two nations. Everything in Nigeria and most parts of Africa has been chinanised. The only way to break the hold is to give Nigeria what China can't give - military power. They are fully exploiting it through Nigeria's security challenges. |
