BlackViper: This only covers the financial statements of five of the biggest companies in Nigeria:
MTN Nigeria, Dangote Cement, Seplat Energy, Nestlé Nigeria, and BUA Cement.
In other words, the biggest companies with the largest market capitalisation and the necessary liquidity to survive sluggish economic growth are the ones being highlighted.
Hundreds of small to medium sized companies continue to go out of business and those that don't are operating well below their capacity utilisation. Give us your verifiable data and stop blanket statements. Experts must discuss like experts. If you are not one of us stay away. |

Now that Atiku has left the party what or who is Wike fighting again? As a loyal PDP member, shouldn't he be strategizing and positioning the party to present itself as a formidable opposition to take power in 2027? The man has obviously sold himself out to the devil and is now beholden to those he sold himself to It will be a tall order for PDP to think of taking power in 2027. The best bet is have a deal with APC. Adopt our presidential candidate and we will support your gubernatorial candidates in the states that you presently control. Wike is the one to get that deal for them. |

FreeStuffsNG: They are a dying tribe They have not learnt their lesson. Only pooling resources to build , operate and supply your own channels can keep their heads above water. The game is up.
Most of them are in serious debt and struggling to compete only out of ego. In few days time, Dangote Refinery will launch its 4,000 CNG-powered trucks to directly deliver PMS to outlets so while they are waiting for PMS that's still on the high seas, Dangote Refinery and the other local refineries have serviced orders and cornered the market. Lobatan.
NIPCO Plc, umbrella body of independent marketers, was buying hotels everywhere when it was swimming in profit instead of building refineries. Smh. They should use their hotels to refine crude nah.
They lack visionary leaders but rich in very narrow business-minded leaders. Don't mind them and thank God for Dangote. If Dangote refinery didn't come on stream importers wouldn't have lowered their prices. Now they are forced to. |

Politics › Re: Bayo Ojulari's Days Are Numbered As NNPC GMD - The Cable by Vision101(m): 9:05pm On Aug 03, 2025 |
AMINDA: Why is Tunubu this paranoid about opposition and what's with the vendetta against people whom he feels have affiliations with opposition figures whether real or imagined? First was the news about one Ms. Achimugu, the alleged mistress of Sanwo-olu whom they accused of funding Atiku and is now facing trial. That also caused some bad blood between him and Sanwo-olu for a while. Before then, was the constant hounding of Dangote and his refinery for allegedly funding opposition. Now it's Ojulari and his business ties with Atiku's son-in-law. One can hazard a guess that the hostile takeover of Rivers, Delta and Akwa Ibom were done to cut-off perceived sources of funding for opposition. It's becoming paranoia at this point and it's pathetic for someone who obviously got some level of funding from businessmen like Tony Elumelu and Co. Did you read where it was written that Kyari stopped the relationship because of certain shady deals? Why should it be the earliest action of Ojulari? Who is that person that will directly fund a known enemy. I used the world enemy rather than opposition because the way Nigerian opposition operate is like an enemy. The steps that Atiku took even before PBAT was sworn in and since this two years has been like an enemy and not an opposition. If Atiku or Obi is the president and PBAT takes these steps would they for any reason fund PBAT directly or indirectly? In the history of Nigerian politics this is the first time that a president will be in office for only two years and heavy politicking will take place two years ahead of election. |
Politics › Re: One-Term Presidency: "I don't Need Psychiatric Examination" - Obi replies Soludo by Vision101(m): 8:28pm On Aug 03, 2025 |
Mrfixitt: Only a an incompetent fellow thinks that a country like Nigeria can't experience turn around in 4 years. Not everyone will be a failure like Tinubu When you quote for a world Bank assisted project the job is not given to the lowest bid but the lowest responsive bid. A bid may be low but not responsive. A responsive bid is a bid that can be lowest but must not be below the estimator's valuation of the cost of delivering a quality job. If it's below the estimator's valuation it's called none responsive bid. A none responsive bid means either that the bidder has no good understanding of how to deliver quality job as specified or he just wants to get the contract, take whatever he's paid and disappear. It shows that he has no clear understanding of what the job entails. By the enormity of challenges of turning Nigeria around politically, economically, structurally etc. any bidder that wants to rule Nigeria for four years only and promises to deliver accordingly to specification is a none responsive bidder. You can draw your conclusions concerning Obi's promise. |

INEC is also likely to accept candidates from Nenadi Usman supervised congress.
Peter Obi is now fully in charge of the Labour Party.
I was telling some Agbado people here but they chose rather to excite themselves in ignorance and I let them have fun.
Obi is coming! So Tinubu is no longer controlling INEC? APC now loves Obi for allowing him to take control of LP? INEC chairman is no longer Tinubu's stooge? Very inconsistent. |

It's just a matter of whether or not to allow him continue inspite of the failure. He made a valid and sensible point. Let the opposition provide clear alternative course of action. Let us examine them and make our choices. It shouldn't be about power grabbing and hatred. You might be surprised that they have nothing better. Some of them want power but they don't know the complexities of Nigerian politics. Some of them might be overwhelmed by a simple process of forming a cabinet. Buhari thought that it was a military regime. You saw how difficult it was for him. So many competing interests. |

AMINDA: Kudos to you, Mr. Nwosu. In case anyone is wondering how all those multiple factions in all parties arise, the 360 degree switch of loyalists of other opposition leaders, the announced suspension of leaders from other parties out of the blue, the "endorsements" from unlikely quarters, etc, wonder no more. APC have looked at the numbers and seen that the only way they can win this election is if they are the only ones on the ballot. They are breaking the Nigerian treasury to buy-off any and everyone with a price. What do you expect him to say after being paid off by Atiku? Is it not laughable that the government will be offering ministerial slots for mere usage of one obscure party when the same individuals can use another party if he refuses? I knew that he was lying when he began to claim state governments and legislatures that belong to the party when there is none. After having cashed out he had to say something to justify and blackmail. |

Borrow2222: Stop the nonsense talk guy. The government has all the tech needed to tackle fraud in any poverty alleviation programs they start.
In other countries, there's universal credit, social security welfare - And also tools designed to prevent fraud.
But in Nigeria, they'll launch a poverty program, and instead of reaching the people who really need it, they'll hand it out to their cronies.
When it fails, they'll blame the masses, and people like you will eat it up.
You got genuine farmers in your village - did any of them benefit from these scam programs? First you must learn how to talk without insulting. It's a mark of decency and good exposure. Back to the topic. Records have shown that programs set up by governments one way or the other were abused. Good examples are NDE, scholarships, bursary awards, ABS from cbn, microcredit schemes etc. I have been privileged to audit some of these and I can tell you first hand that Nigerians have the tendency to abuse. This is not to exonerate the politicians and government officials. We love to cite good practices in other nations but are we like them? The percentage of Nigerians that will have opportunities to defraud but refuse is very low. This is the hard truth. |

Why is everyone of these Buhari's rudderless and impactless govt tryin g in futility to exonerate him by whitewashing him for who he never was?
