stanluiz:He told you in your private conversation with him? |
Quest7777:So which Nigerian has the will to do it? Jonathan, Buhari and now Tinubu could not. You see... dealing with religion in this country is a very delicate matter. The Trump noise might be a blessing to Tinubu. It allows him the latitude to go all out. |
obi4eze:Leave 2027 out of it. Do you know that this event might even work in his favour in 2027. This is not the time for politics. This problem started from PDP regime and spread to APC. So leave politics. |
Afriifa:Intelligent, matured, people that are altruistic and know that their words carry so much weight don't talk too often. |
Emmabyte:I don't mind village idiots. The man is a disgrace to American presidency. Very vulgar and uncultured. |
Chibuzoc:Stop copying kanu's statements. He started all these things with propaganda and he's still doing it up till now. He didn't want this case to be concluded so that he will continue to ride on the wave. Look at his tricks: 1. Condemned up to two trial judges and accused them of bias. 2. The case was given to the present judge as the third judge. 3. Argued on issues of jurisdiction but didn't succeed. 4. Came up with no case submission but didn't succeed. 5. Added some human rights lawyers to Ejimakor but later sacked them. 6. Hired a team of high profile SANs. 7. Argued that his health was failing and that he needed to be released to treat himself. 8. The judge set up a team of doctors from NMA. 9. They said that he was fit to stand trial. His lawyers adopted the report. 10. He later said that the medical report by experts was fake. 11. He called the high and mighty in this country as his witnesses. The judge signed the supena. 12. He sacked all his lawyers and said that he will defend himself. 13. He was asked to enter his defence with the judge showing extreme patience. 14. When every trick failed he said that there was no law in existence on which he was charged. Go through the above with an open mind and draw your own conclusions about Kanu and his noise. He never knew that it will come to this stage. We warned him at the beginning and they said that we are sabo and that they will kill us. The only solution now is for him to accept his lot. Be sentenced. Change and be remorseful. Make pledges and get state pardon. He's making things difficult for those that want to help him. |
chiagozien:Funny 🤣 man and his report. A SAN as prosecutor will be prosecuting someone on non existent law? The SANs that Kanu hired saw this and they didn't raise it? The same court of appeal ruling that freed him that he kept saying but he doesn't mention that the government apealed the judgement at supreme Court and won. Let's wait for November 20th. |
Nwaikpe:You can now see why those rich senior lawyers disagreed with him. They must have told him the truth and in his usual arrogance he disagreed and they backed out. Arrogance has been his Waterloo from the beginning. Is this how he will rule Biafra? |
Emmabyte:All judges and lawyers in Nigeria don't know law except Kanu and you. Bravo 👏 |
blacksam01:Graduated at the University of Afara. Called to Abia bar ![]() |
HgAkpobomeEr:The better narrative is that people are being killed. The wrong narrative is that Christians are suffering genocide. All of us know that this is not true. It's the usage of Christian genocide that can fly USA and Trump intentions. That's why they are flying it. Let me tell you that if Trump should attack based on their narrative Nigeria will witness escalation of war as the Arab enemies of USA will gather together to fight. When Trump starts counting his losses he will abandon Nigeria and leave. |
Lanruze:Is it compulsory to see Trump? Is that what we elected him to do? Will seeing Trump everyday solve all our problems? |
muyico:The million dollar question ❓❓❓ We should not be carried away. |
owobokiri:We want a safe Nigeria. Ask yourself does the west act like this and this fast for altruistic reasons? When they behave like this they have other interests beyond the surface. |
aestake:I'm a Nigerian. You don't even know where I come from. FYI the US is more interested in solid mineral than hydrocarbon. That's their interest in Ukraine. |
nairalanda1:When you know this why do you compare here and there? Why do you condemn just because we lived a fake subsidized life pretending to be rich when we are a poor nation. Why are you not in support of someone that said: gentlemen we can't continue this fake and borrowed display. Let's strip ourselves of all these fake life, owe up to the truth, make sacrifices and work towards what we ought to be? |
LegendHero:The USA earlier supported actions that triggered the war. They have had enough and honeymoon is over. Typical west. |
Felimax:Do you put in a tenth of what Dangote put in to make more money? I was privileged to follow my boss to attend a meeting in his office. In a large reception people were there by 2 am waiting for their turns to see him. My boss eventually finished with him by 3 am and we left. By 5 am he was called to come to his office by 6 am to sign the agreement. This is typical life of the rich. Can you do this? Come close to a popular pastor and you pity their life. These also apply to nations. Trump is more desperate to make more money for USA than African presidents that their countries are poor. |
Prigidypogodo:Osibanjo shouldn't go this way otherwise he will soil his name. I respect him very well. You just left government as the second in command, you dished out same figures. Why are you now condemning the same thing you did just two years after leaving office? You contested your party primary. If you had won and became president wouldn't you have talked about GDP? Typical Nigerian leader. Condemn everything when out of government but praise everything when in government. I thought that Osibanjo doesn't belong to this class. Am I mistaken? He knows the truth and solution to what he's saying. He will not change it and all of them irrespective of who is in power will not. GDP is GDP. The problem with ours and effect on ordinary people is wealth distribution. This is simple macroeconomics. The wealthy are about 20% of our population. Take a quarter of what they get through policies and redirect to the remaining 80% then the effect of GDP will show on ordinary people. Can they do this? Can Osibanjo do this? The answer is no. Let them allow us to rest and stop pontificating. |
Felimax:Check facts. The efforts that the rich puts in to have more the poor doesn't put a tenth of it to come out of poverty. America wants more that's why they are everywhere to scavenge. |
Ezeama400:Forget Americans and their shenanigans. Was it not the same America that Nigeria was begging to sell military equipment to her? They even blocked our efforts to purchase them through third parties. Where was this American politician then? |
Beremx:Anyone who has challenges will always seek help from friends. This is different from the friend coming to take over my house dictate things for me, milk me dry, creat more problems because he doesn't understand the character of my family and when the situation gets worse he will leave to his comfort place and leave me worse. A genuine friend will work with me and stand by me to solve my problems. There will be no issue of ridicule. When a friend begins to behave as if he loves my family more than me then it's obvious that he has a sinister motive. |
Felimax:The rich needs more to sustain his name and luxury. It's only the poor that's satisfied with his present level. |
Flets:Nay and nay.... Discerning international watchers know that it's the usual Trump muscle flexing. Nigeria has remained relatively passive in all his noise. Tariff war didn't hit Nigeria. Nigeria refused to be dumping ground for his prisoners. In his visa revocation and immigrant repatriation Nigeria has relatively be calm. China has a major hold on Nigerian economy. Nigeria is closer to brics and Asian blocks right now. He's aware of the gradual turn around and direction of the Nigerian economy. America is seriously losing their grip on Nigeria and Africa. Trump's lowest hanging fruit is what he's doing. Is he thinking about evading Nigeria....far from it. America particularly Trump doesn't do charity operation. What is his target? Draw Nigeria closer through the present blackmail. He's not going to give Nigeria anything free but we must pay for them. We should expect stoppage of aid. He has stopped some already still Nigeria didn't shake. As for the performance of our Euro bonds, I'm very happy. It's a recognition of positive signals coming from Nigerian economy. In finance and economics sentiment has no place. |
Streetinvestor2:Euro bond means borrowing internally? Nothing aboki no go read for nairaland. ![]() |
ZombieTAMER:Show evidence of APC opposing refinery sale under PDP. People have turned public discussion to something else. Internet has become a market square. |
Mrfixitt:My friend avoid bias when you criticize. The turnaround maintenance, the disbursement and the management team were actions of Buhari. PBAT inherited them. As sensitive as sale of a major asset like NNPC is would it be the first actions of a new president when commitment and expenditure has been made by previous administration? The logical thing is it not to encourage it to see if something good will come out? If it didn't work out, the next step is to fire the team, put a new team in place and allow them to have a neutral look at the issue. Whatever comes out then a firm decision will be taken. Is this not what is happening? Leadership is not a piece of cake 🎂. |
Miramonica:I want to ask you a simple question: since this case started for some years Kanu has been using lawyers. Now that the case is close to conclusion why did he suddenly decide to represent himself? The same man that mentioned the names of the high and mighty as his witnesses suddenly don't want to enter his defence. Kanu knows that the evidence against him will send him to jail. He wants to play to the gallery but he will end up jailed. |
AMINDA:Chad that's landlocked and dependent on Nigeria? How Nigerians underrated their country surprises me. |
Sonnobax15:He no fit because of paper. Na the lady dey cover him. |
correctyourself:He used her for paper. That's all. He no fit leave her. |
