Pol002:Atiku wouldn't have done better. Bad leadership for so many years created it. A large part of the north is ungoverned - no government presence. These bad boys feast on such neglect. Little settlements scattered everywhere. Our security personnel can't cover them all. |
Maxymilliano:What is special about this? Can you help us get someone that will help us fix ajaokuta steel and we will promise to name it after him. |
Fiscus105:I have read what you reproduced here several times and I can't see any proof of evidence here. All that I saw are political statements. I'm not from the same tribe with the person that you are accusing. There is no issue. Let's see how it pans out. |
00FFT00:It's clearly written here except the person that posted it is wrong. |
Lamasta:The world is a global village. We will all watch it God spearing our lives. Please remind if he succeeds. |
Lamasta:I didn't call it pettiness rather I called it emptiness. I reacted based on what he provided in public domain. The Sowore that we know will splash his evidence all over the social media if he has any. In any case remind me of how far he achieved his purpose. |
Lamasta:You guys lack intelligence because of politics. I wasn't defending anybody. I just pointed out the emptiness of what he is doing. If he wants an effort that will yield anything he should properly investigate his claim, gather enough evidence and petition to the Americans. No court will help you prove your case. You have to prove your case with evidence. |
00FFT00:But he said that he did the same thing when he was governor. Why did he leave out upgrading of schools to donations for his birthday rather than use state funds? According to him what Mrs Tinubu is doing now was what he did when he was governor. What then is the sense in what he's saying? |
MaziObinnaokija:Don't mind busy body Sowore. This is not a petition. You said that someone bought a property worth a particular amount but you didn't provide evidence of fraud or corruption. Does he think that Americans are jobless that they will busy themselves trying to find out how Wike got the money when the petitioner didn't provide evidence of corruption. The courts don't help litigants to prove their cases. |
Ezeama400:No matter how you fix your country people will always migrate. Are Chinese not migrating? |
richard870:People are free to build their refinery. People are free to source fx and import. What Dangote is teaching everyone is that in business expect change, prepare for it and adjust to it. People have made fortune through subsidy and fuel importation. They believe that it will be like that forever. All the tank farm owners will have to think of alternative business. Why didn't their unions join resources to build medium sized refinery? No,. they only want quick wealth that don't provide jobs. |
Lovelife433:Is the Pastor productive or not? Transfers sometimes are not done for doing sake. There's a parish in Ipaja, the pastor is rich, arrived the location as PIC Area. He's been there for over 25 years. His records are super. He has taken an area headquarters to provincial hqtrs. He's now the PICP. He has brought down every building and he said that he's building a cathedral. The parish runs four services on Sunday. The pastor is even a part time pastor. Did the church gain or lose leaving him there for so long? |
GanagiBitrus:This is a fat lie. No RCCG province will change five pastors in the same parish within one year. |
mrvitalis:I don't know sir. Please teach me sir. Is Nigeria's own high relative to other nations? One rule when discussing in a public forum is to always assume that the person that you are speaking to has high knowledge. If the person has none then it's safer. If the person has then you wouldn't have fooled yourself speaking shallowly because you assumed a low knowledge. |
SarkinYarki:Mr converter please convert the amount to your favorite dollar and show in one month that the regimes that you mentioned earned above what is reported here. |
mrvitalis:It means that we are either not productive enough or our earnings are low or our population has a lot of unproductive component. A lot is honestly required to realign Nigeria and not politics of condemn all. |
Ofunaofu:Keep wailing. The state governors are happier than before. They couldn't execute projects before but they are doing them now. Some of them owed close to two years salary areas to workers but they are paying as and when due now. So please go ahead and answer your yourself. In my life time this is the period that I have seen the worst type of politics and opposition in Nigeria. I hope that Nigerians will be wiser else we will make a terrible political mistake. |
olaric:I don't think that this is true. People these days put themselves in trouble by saying all manner of things against the church to excite the crowd. Similar thing happened some years ago in RCCG. Remittance had been done for the month. When such report came up the supervising senior pastor directed the parish pastor to effect the refund. In fact this was the whole amount. The tither said that he's withdrawing wholly the whole amount and the refund was effected. In my parish earlier this year a case similar to what is posted here took place. The same day I ordered that a cheque should be prepared, I signed it and it was handed over to the person. I don't think that there's any serious church that would do what is posted here. Real financiers of the gospel are quiet, happy and harvest heavily from what they are doing. They are not the multitude that give peanut and make all kinds of noise. |
omoredia:The headline is wrong. It doesn't align with what Dangote said. People should read properly and posters should stop misleading headlines. |
ambale:If you set a target on revenue and you achieve it , what is wrong in announcing it? Don't forget that your budget is deficit. Even if you earn above your budget the implication is that it will help you reduce your deficit. It doesn't give the luxury of reckless spending. Obi sometimes in an attempt to sound as opposition and look good mocks himself. If there's provision for payment of pensioners it must be in the approved budget. Even if you earn double your target revenue you are not permitted by law to spend outside what is in the law. The best any president can do is to send a supplementary budget to the legislature. |
Okhuadams:In fx market fifty naira is a major amount. Meanwhile it is expected that naira should be hovering around 1,450 - 1,550. Any movement below will be major achievement and any movement above is a major red flag. If the movement is within the bound of #100 then it's a measure of stability. |
PigTormentor:Ogun is enjoying the Lagos effect. Lagos is full and the only state closest to Lagos is Ogun. Infact in some places there's hardly any difference between Lagos and Ogun. |
PerfectStranger:My greatest wish in the light of what people are saying now is that I wish that Obi had won the 2023 election. Nigerians would have seen how tough the country would have been. He wouldn't have the guts to take the type of tough decisions that PBAT took. State governments couldn't pay salaries for over a year. FGN was borrowing to pay salaries. Contractors were being owed. Foreign airlines couldn't remit their tickets sales. There were backlogs of fx obligations. Crude oil not produced were being sold upfront to subsidize fx rate and petroleum products. FGN was printing naira without economic backing. Neutral experts knew where Nigeria was headed to. People were making money abroad, bring it in through black market rate and use the high volume naira to buy cheap CBN dollar through connection. It was crazy 😧. You could bring in $1000 through black market and take out $1600 through CBN rate. |
Kukutente23:You think that everyone supports corrupt politicians. Corruption is corruption. It's a cancer. Whether it's by the politicians, marketers, civil servants or contractors. We are talking about a private sector investor that is helping the nation and corrupt private sector business men that are fighting him and you are bringing politics into it. |
youngsahito:Refinery wey no dey work since OBJ days. You think say na Tinubu cause all naija problems? |
phr0nesis:Did people not argue against the subsidy removal when Tinubu announced it but he stood his ground even at the risk of losing his popularity. Why didn't Jonathan do so? |
Kukutente23:All these years we have been having independent marketers, how many jobs did they create? Were we not constantly having fuel scarcity? They were the ones that ripped this nation off through bogus fuel subsidy. Now Dangote has taken the sugar out of their mouth 👄 and they are crying 😭 and fighting back. |
givedemwotowoto:Are you saying that productivity is static? This cannot be supported by the GDP growth rate. What is your definition of an economy that is not growing as it should be bearing in mind where we are coming from? Does empirical evidence not show that at the early stage of the reform if you buy a packet of biscuit today and go back in one week's time the price would have increased? Such is not applicable now. |
Faber:Show us statistics of how "every nation on the list is manufacturing and doing well". Mr condemn everything Nigeria and you still remain in Nigeria. Clap for yourself. |
DMerciful:They didn't mind where he came from. They went for his qualities. If it had been in Nigeria people would have seen only his tribe and religion. They will remind us about how many people that have been appointed from his tribe. Nigeria is the most difficult country to rule. Everything is centered on tribe and religion. Politicians exploit this to their advantage. |
potbelly:With all due respect sir: Ask the civil servants that were owed 21 months salaries by various states whether they prefer that or now that their salaries are paid on time. Ask the various contractors that were owed so much before now whether they prefer that or now that they are paid timely Ask the foreign airlines that were owed backlog of their remittance with no hope of releasing them before PBAT whether they prefer that or now that the backlog has been cleared. Ask the average traveller what this meant. Ask the citizens all over the country whether they prefer the terrible road or now that there is so much provision of infrastructure by federal and subnationals. Ask the average economist the implications of forward sale of crude oil not yet extracted and now that it doesn't exist. Ask the average economist implications of high and low foreign reserve. Think deeply and you will understand that two of the biggest source of corruption in our economy is the subsidy on fx and petroleum products. This monster 💩 has been defeated. Ask the average parents and students in the university whether they will prefer the old order of uncertainty in the completion of their studies due to lack of funds or the current certainty of completion and gradual repayment of loan after studies. Ask the average economist the implications to the economy and business people when workers and contractors are paid timely. All these happened in two years. You can imagine how it will be in another six years. |
BuharisBoy:No problem. Therefore APC is 10 years. So let's wait for their 16 years before we compare. |
