Politics › Re: Why GEJ Is Not A Hero by vislabraye(m): 12:30am On Apr 03, 2015 |
blacnewton: 25 years ago, a certain woman traveled to Zimbabwe on a research trip to investigate why girls' school enrollment in rural areas was very low. She discovered that poverty was the road block as opposed to cultural reasons. Families could not afford to buy books or pay school fees for all their children. Instead they sent their male children to school because they stood a better chance of getting a paid job after graduation.
This woman understood how this poverty and exclusion theory affects these girls psychologically and economically, and if girls could be educated, supported by their communities and empowered to shape their own destinies, they could change their communities and nations forever.
She really wanted to help and change the status-quo but she had no money. She struggled and launched grassroots fund-raising campaigns single-handedly, such as selling baked foods and was able to send 32 girls to school successfully. And in the space of 20 years she was able to send over 400,000 children to school.
This woman's name is Ann Cotton and I'm sure you are inspired by her story. Yes, that is the effect heroes or someone that did something heroic has on us.
Heroes are people that go the extra length to create something that matters even when they are not obliged to. Most times they don't get paid for it. They see it as a service to humanity.
We have many other heroes too like Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther king Jr, Mary Slessor e.t.c
And it will only be demeaning and unfair to what heroes stands for if we call every Dick and Harry a Hero.
President Jonathan (A.K.A GEJ) lost the presidential elections to the opposition party and he conceded defeat in a reasonable and calm manner. The elections was free and fair (to some extent) and the country was not in any sort of chaos as many pastors prophesied Nigerians feared.
But all of that doesn't make him a hero and there was nothing heroic about what he did. That was just a normal thing to do. Many even went ahead to say he deserves a Nobel Prize... In what I ask? Some even said he should be immortalized.
I actually thought people were just trying to play pranks or crack crazy jokes as that is synonymous with Nigerians - We tend to create humor around everything, no matter how terrible.
But no, People were darn serious about this hero and super-hero talk. They even went as far as creating hashtags such as #GEJourHero... I think they're are plainly sentimental. Calling GEJ and Hero because he conceded defeat in a calm way is crazy. Is that not the normal and sensible thing to do?
This is just sad and this explains we scream "UP NEPA" when NEPA supplies our houses electricity we are paying for.
If GEJ is a hero for calling Buhari... Then I guess I am a hero too because I just called my pastor and I think I deserve a Nobel prize too.
Source: http://sadiqdaniel..com Who is this blogger? Last election Gej won fairly but did gmb take the defeat likely? no. He went as far as provoking violence. What Gej did was noble. Everyone one in the world sees it except this blogger |

TopGee: Jonathan defeated Buhari in 2011 but never received congratulatory message from Buhari, instead many innocent Nigerians lost their lives because he could not concede defeat. Today Buhari defeated that same man that won him in 2011, and received a congratulatory message from Jonathan, and saved the lives of many Nigerians. Who is the true change here? Who is the right man to emulate here? These questions are begging for answers. You can imagine the typ of people we have. This thief called tinubu believes hes a Nationalist. richyblink1: It is not peculiar to just the male folks alone.
Around November 2009, I was travelling to Uyo from Port Harcourt and was sitting at the back roll with a lady beside me. Immediately the vehicle started moving I picked up a newspaper and kept myself busy.
Not up to an hour after we left the park, the lady beside me confidently closed the newspaper I was reading and collected it from my hands and immediately kicked off a discussion with me. Believe you me, she refused to hand back the newspaper to me till we got to our destination. She even assisted me with her phone to call the person I was visiting hoping I will get her digits in the process. But I gently told her thanks, collected my newspaper and zoomed of leaving her at the park. Did I mention that she asked about my profession and address. Told me she was a nurse and equally dropped her address.
Op, it was not a romance, but an attempt to create a relationship Hmmm... you no wan chop? Abi she no fine or you get gf for where udey |

RomanceLander: Share it So many examples. I used to fork one of my exes in a car. MY first experience was in my Benz 190 at the back seat. I went visiting her one evening just after new year period. It was a windy evening and there was no light at all. People were already going to their houses. She put her head on my laps and I began stroking it. She was enjoying it and we continued gisting. As I was using one hand on her hair, the other hand was roaming . She gave me a bad look and offered little resistance. MY hands went to the lips and rubbed it thoroughly. Then it moved to the boobsa a and I squeezed it. She complained that she doesn't like doing such in the car and she hit my hands away. Then I felt my stuff rising and becoming hard. Without warning, my other hands went between her legs. She frowned and looked at me sternly. I stuck my hands deeper into her hole, and realized she wasn't wearing panties at all . I wound my finger from side to side and she started frowning in pleasure. A few seconds later, she became so wet. I unzipped and stuck my manhood into he mouth. She just opened and started licking it. Then I changed position and laid on her. I pulled her skirt and unleashed my long John. Funny thing is that even though I am 6 feet tall, I was able to adjust in a comfortable way to thrust. While going back and forth, I felt he wind blowing my arss. By them time I was done, I quickly buttoned up and started the ignition. |

The only way Buhari can succeed is to cut off totally from Tinubu. If he does so, then I have no problem. |

My view is that a black child exposed to the right education and environment as the white kid will do the same or even better. The difference could be genetics which could favour either when compared. It has nothing to do with race. Yes, blacks have some fundamental issues which have nothing to do with WISDOM or intelligence. But if you believe whites are wiser than black, then you can't justify that we should not copy them in everything they do. |

Daughterzion: Nairalanders help me am confused. I was taught in sunday school that gayism is a chosen lifestyle and no one is born gay which i believed until i browsed through the net to find out that people are of the opinion that it is natural. They said that gays are born with it cos it just a natural phenomenom. So please i need you opinions on this. I know i should not be confused but i am. It's an anomaly . People are born to be straight. No look at this scenario , if a baby is born with one eye, will you just say it is natural? If it happens alike that, you will look for a solution. But when it comes to becoming gay, some people say it is natural. |
