delors: Good. My position is, tell your dad to get the 10k. Buy new seeds and replant. And tell your dad that the herdmen be more watchful so their cows don't enter your land to do more damage especially when they are grazing. Tell him to do all these in a friendly manner. Those guys, as you hav mentioned, have no formal education, no chill and no remorse. Any misunderstood move from ur dad could be perceived as an act of aggression. I am.not sure your hectares of maize is worth any bloodshed. Those guys could kill if things go out of hand. And where is your own calculation of #60k coming from? That could be seen as an act if greed. No one would even give you that kind of money, Fulani or not, talk less of these guys. Rethink your position and approach everything with diplomacy, tact and caution. We don't want to see any news if herdsmen killing people on some farmland in Ado ekiti because of a meagre 'how much'. A word is enough for the wise.
And stop the hatred yourself...why do u sound so hurt and hateful? Is it because they are not your tribe? #SoulSearchingTime So you expect someone whose labour and income has gone down the drain not to feel hurt or hateful. I don't think you have put yourself in the op shoes. If your source of income has gone down the drain won't you feel hurt ? Have you considered the many hours of labour ? And saying the the Op is greedy because he wants 60k shows how insensitive you are. Do you even know the actual worth of the damage ? I guess you don't. If 10k is the value of the crop damaged, how do you now expect people to make a living from farming. Op, I know it's painful. It's just the way Nigeria is, there's no justice. Tell them you don't need their money and drop the issue. Don't pick up a fight cos they have nothing to lose and their brother is in power. |

doggedemmy: Nice one! Let them pay for the loss A friend's father had this same fulani herdsmen issue in a village in Delta State. The cows, numbering over 50 entered into my friend's dad's cassava farm of more than 10 plots. This old man was shedding tears. Few days latter we started seeing dead bodies of cows around. We no even care, na so we begin collect free meat o Later we found out that the deed was carried out by one baddo for the area. The guy sprayed one kind poisonous chemical around a plot of land where the cows normally visit. Naso God take bless our Christmas and new year that year. Fulani guys self run... Them no come back come revenge because if their missing cows ? If the cows die of pesticides or whatever, the meat go still good |

Sweetguy25: There are some things a President should never be caught saying. Denigrating womanhood is one of them. Meanwhile, he said this in front of one of the most powerful women in the world. How do you expect her to feel as she also someone's wife. That's what they don't see. Yes, it was a joke. But was it proper considering where he was? It's something he could have said behind closed doors. |

patriotic9jaboy: This is not governance. Instead of creating an enabling environment for ekiti indigenes to thrive, fayose is distributing agege bread and 5kg rice. After eating the rice and loaf of bread, what next? Where is the next meal coming from? Instead of industrializing the state and encouraging the youths especially to get involved in agriculture so there will be abundant food for all at a cheaper rate, the clown of a governor will instead dance around ekiti and distribute rations i cant imagine governor Ambode going about with bread and 5kg rice to win the heart of lagosians. Ekiti people brought this on themselves The way Aisha was frying akara and cooking jollof rice |

ofuonyebi: obstructing the course of justice-is a criminal offence but doing it with impunity-speaks volumes of hidden agenda against governor wike..when the ATGG and VJES rises in support of wike's government...they would be seen as noble men and worthy activists...Nigerian leaders had refused to shed the toga of being 'fantastically an accomplice to corruption'...when the common man who had no cup garri to drink is arrested in the mid of the night nobody sees anything...but when judges who had turned their homes to bureau-De-change..with millions of dollars and nairas lying-in-wastes in their cupboards...were arrested...then, you will hear...some birds of the same feathers saying it its unconstitutional!...Yoruba wise words says..bi a se bi eru bee la bi omo...God De o o!...anyway, any how, corruption must go from 49ja.. . What justice are you talking about ? |
Politics › Re: Wike Under Fire For Obstructing Judge’s Arrest by vislabraye(m): 1:54pm On Oct 14, 2016 |
patriotic9jaboy: Wike is indeed lucky to be alive. Obstructing an order of arrest from the federal government all because he has skeleton in his closet is suicidal. If the Dss operatives had pulled their trigger on him that day, it would be termed as accidental discharge and at worst his deputy would be sworn in as governor if he dies. No sane person will dare the federal might of any country. The police commissioner he took a long with him answers directly to the IG who is an appointee of the federal government. Just like GEJ withdrew Amaechi's security detail, Buhari can order the same for wike and heaven will not fall. Power pass power. When they loot and steal billions they all forget human rights of affected citizens and rules of law. When it's time for prosecution, they will start screaming rule of law and due process and the same nigerians who are shortchanged will be supporting the political thieves.
Sane Nigerians are behind the arrest of judges and other corrupt members of the political class. Some call buhari a dictator but if dictatorship is what is required to sanitize the system you have the support of patriotic Nigerians. Invade the home of looters, break their doors and safes with sledge hammers, brutalize them with your DSS and make them pay for short changing the state. We must sanitize the country for the upcoming generations If the judges are corrupt, why did the DSS free them ? Does it mske sense to you ? U shout they are corrupt but after raiding their homes, what did the Dss come up with ? Stop supporting wrong. |

DickDastardly: Aisha cannot say all this. Even if she did, she must have been deceived by the ever cunning power hungry enemy. My Sai Buhari should be very careful with this enemies going forward. They want to destroy him using his loved ones. We know the dark and diabolical hards behind this show of shame. They only want to push the "more loyal king's men" away and then draw the long swords on him. Daura and Kyari are more important in this government of change than any delusional power hungry schemer. I trust my Sai baba to handle this "storm in the teacup" being stirred covertly by the cowardly mortley mob. . No, it must be Pdp and Gej behind this. Travel › Re: My Racism Experience During A Vacation In Russia by vislabraye(m): 1:01pm On Oct 14, 2016 |
ERONX: It all happened on the 10th of October I left home in Ontario and decided to go on vacation in the beautiful city of st Petersburg with a childhood friend of mine who is White. When taking our usual tour walk with our complete papers and tourist passport, I observed that most people along the street kept on staring and moving away from us especially me....
We later discovered we've missed our way because we visited most of the tour centers with our map, so we decided to ask the locals around for help. When I approached them for direction, although we had issues with language difference they would just grin and shout out loud, some would run away and avoid me from getting close when I tried asking for direction.
I finally discovered I was been avoided because of my dark skin colour, so i asked my friend to do the questioning while I stood far away but there was no way they could help even with the map due to the language difference. They offered assistance by pointing to a police stand we went there with the intention of asking for direction, the two policemen shook hands with my white friend but ignored shaking hands with me, after giving us directions on how we could get a cab that will take us to our hotel, we thanked them and we were about leaving the policemen called us back and asked what I'm carrying in my backpack. I told him I have my papers some money and my lunch. He took the bag from me checked it himself he saw my papers were complete yet he refused returning my backpack, i got very angry and asked him to return my backpack yet he refused my friend tried pleading yet he refused...
What made me angry was because he didn't ask for the contents in my friend's backpack when he saw how furious and angry I've become, he returned the backpack and started raining abusive racist word in both Russian and English. I threatened him I would file a complaint to the Russian Police, and told him I would file legal actions against him. After threatening him, he stopped the insult and in a few minutes a police car drove to our scene i believe the locals around contacted the police. A superior officer from the police vehicle apologised on his behalf, he was also asked to apologise which he did reluctantly the most embarrassing part of it was when all the drama was unfolding the locals around gathered to catch a glimpse of what was happening while others took pictures.
We finally got back to the hotel I was very angry all through, I had to reschedule for the next flight and I went back home the next day.
All through my lifetime I have never been subjected to such a degrading and embarrassing moment.
RACISM IS BAD #SAYNOTORACISM Sorry for the embarrassment. Racism has degrees. But travelling to Russia or any East European country for vacation is a no. |

Mindfulness: Don't wait for the society to change, be the change yourself. Get an education before even thinking of marriage so that you are independent and tell prospective suitors that adultery is an absolute deal breaker to you. Say what you mean and mean what you say. I am tired of women complaining all the time. If they want changes, they have to make them but instead of getting involved or at least interested in politics (where laws are made and passed), they will rather watch Telemundo. Lolz. So you think the man will take permission before committing adultery ? |

Is this not tantamount to war crime ? When Gej was fighting bokoharam, people accused him of genocide. Now, Buhari is killing innocent people and yet no human rights activist has condemned his actions. The likes of Bakare and Soyinka are quiet as if nothing bad has happened. Some zombies here will be hailing the brutality of the soldiers. Under Buhari's administration, more innocent people have been killed by the soldiers. (I'm not including the herdsmen attack. ). We have problems in our hands. |
