xynerise: hmmm. Well, I sometimes say words like "Anumpama", "Ote" but I say it with a smile on my face but she frowns and I hug her and apologise. But when she says hurtful words to me, I playfully tell her to come outside and fight me and that is how we settle and apologise to each other.

By my standard, those are no hurtful words.
But I'm just imagining a scenario where my man would ask me to come and fight him? Nah, just hugging won't do the magic, we would need to finish that fight inside our ring.
I just loved it when we fight, provided he would lift me up like a chicken while I shout in the air, I love that. Then, its not possible to stay mad at me for long plus I'd get so many goodies, and he gets to cook for me, or do anything to appease me. In fact, its boring when we don't fight biko. I would miss a lot.

I'm not proud of it, I'm wired in a funny way. When I get angry, I talk, I fight and I argue and its gonna hurt u, but I don't mean any of those thing. That's not my way of fighting back. That's a way I express my love and passion for someone cos I could make a lot of trouble when I'm in love .
When someone I love hurts me, I don't fight back, I just talk and maybe cry, but when u hurt me and I don't talk or argue, then you should watch ur back, cos I'm definitely up to something not good.
So I guess my friends and family understand this aspect of me, and I know its bad and I'm trying to work on it so hard. They don't take it to heart and I sincerely apologise after.

When someone I love says hurtful things to me, I just cry. When s/he apologises, I forgive. Even if s/he doesn't apologise, I forgive. I cry and forgive easily.

I'm gonna be both. A career woman to the core who would also have ample time for her husband, kids and family.

But it has to be said na. I think Nigerian men should shut up and stop whinning about Nigerian girls, and shove their mouths in their azzes.
Men do this all the time, some even ba...ng the maid of honour right before the wedding. I have seen a lot of 'to be' husbands chase girls like randy goats they are just barely 24hours to their weddings. And some self acclaimed happily married guys are not left out even when they are just few months in their marriages, I just pity their wives; if only they knew.
IT IS WRONG on both sides but its high time men realised that they are not doing women any favour by marrying them, give Nigerian girls a break and stop generalising.
Like I always say, if Nigerian girls are not good enough for u, marry South Africans.
