Yet they accepted Ganduje and Oshiomhole, the "dollar compressors" into their leadership. Try telling another lie about the APC being clever. This one did not fly.

You just wait till after APC wins next year, then you will know how clever APC elders have been.

SouthEastFacts:

Zonbiesm is not a disease but a curse. Atiku was APC's BOT Chairman until Nov, 2017 when he resigned.

Shallow response.

When I said "leadership" I meant leadership with real power, not a figurehead BOT chaiman! The power a "BOT chaiman" wields is only as real as the other board members allow him. Corrupt Atiku realised he was a figurehead, hence his exit from the APC. Perhaps you didn't see the word "cleverly" qualifying "excluded."

Read carefully next time before you post any more nonsense.

Kindest regards.
Politics / Re: Was Atiku Corrupt When These Pictures Were Taken? by Volksfuhrer(m): 9:19am On Nov 19, 2018
Of cooourse! He was corrupt then; he is corrupt now. You see, you should appreciate how cleverly APC excluded corrupt Atiku from party leadership, even his proxies were eventually stifled out of APC.

In any case, APC chieftains needed all the support they could muster, including Atiku's deep pockets, to defeat PDP at the centre, and they did! In other words, Atiku's money was put to good use!

And now that corrupt Atiku has taken his support elsewhere, do you still expect APC to cozy up to him? That's not hypocrisy; that's sound politics.

Bros, i support you 100%. The last juicy parastatal left outside Atiku's collection of dubious purchases is NNPC. He once said privately "that all he requires as president is just a day". A day to do what? A day to sign out the sale of NNPC to himself. Then after Nigerians can take back their useless presidency from him. This man needs NNPC more than he needed Nigerians. Who are Nigerians anyway? He has no known biological father nor mother nor sibblings that are Nigerians. He has no commitment to us. To him Nigeria is just an estate for purchase and he will buy it at any cost.

Atiku and his crew are crooks on steroids. Thank God, Atiku showed his hand early. We now know his calamitous intent!

You got it wrong here, OP. The privatisation of nitel had created jobs for millions of Nigeria. Don't say this cpap to slot managing director because he'd just see you as a fool. While the obasanjo administration got it wrong by favouring their folks on privatisation which was why the privatised assets failed to yield success, he got it right on nitel. What the government earned in a year from gsm operators alone was 10 times higher than what they used to earn in same period when nitel was on board. Nnpc is a fraud. Maybe the OP is a beneficiary of that fraud. No forward thinking Nigerian would oppose to the privatisation of nnpc. Where many got it wrong is when comparing privatisation to sale . They're not the same. On atiku's idea I stand . Airports, rails, stadiums, even prisons and other means of transportation were run by private companies abroad. That's why many of us could tell of how beautiful and efficient they are when we return from our foreign trips. At'emi ati idile mi. Atiku la maa dibo fun

Your naivete is mind-boggling!

Firstly, privatisation of nitel did not create millions of jobs, the telcos that gave nitel competition did!

Secondly, don't ever compare nitel to a cash cow like NNPC...lailai.

Thirdly, you also claim many agencies are being "run by private companies abroad." But you fail to realise there are excellent institutions abroad that "oversee" all this; even then, there are still problematic externalities.

We are here in Nigeria where corruption is a beguiling monstrosity, and you dare suggest a strategic company like NNPC be sold! To whom exactly? Atiku's cronies? You bet. And who guarantees that the privatisation process is transparent? Saraki? You get the drift now!

I understand aljharem's fears, and you dare label him a fool. Nigeria is not ready to sell NNPC now.

And finally, Atiku should go on self exile and never come back. Greedy thing!

Donelli:

Pardon me, but I'm not sure I understand what you mean here. Please explain further.

Okay. The thrust of my argument was that: Zik was no true nationalist because he later supported Biafra's secession project. He argued with energy for One Nigeria, despite the fact that pogroms were commited against . Igbos in 1945 and 1953. He later supported secession in Biafra using the pogroms against his people in 1966 as a reason.

Donelli:
I'm aware of the anthem part but which Biafra did he canvass to join OAU when the Nigerian government tried to ensure Biafra did not see the light of day?

i never said he succeeded, but he tried. In any case, he sought out some African Heads of States for Biafra's recognition. Didn't he?

Is this not a contradiction
No, It wasn't a contradiction. Remember, I brought up this statement, '...pogroms against igbos in 1945 and 1953 never dissuaded Zik from gleeful arguments of "indivisibility" and."perpetuity!"', only as an objection to arguments justifying Zik's support for secession during Biafra.

Donelli:
... Nnamdi Azikiwe never supported secession; if you have a link to prove that by all means
please share with me...

Did you say, "Nnamdi Azikiwe never supported secession"? Well, he evidently supported secession during Biafra! If he wrote Biafra's anthem and canvassed for Biafra to join the OAU as independent country, then he supported secession.

Donelli:
If the secession clause had been included in the constitution at that time, the union would have broken up within two years because there were several post-independence crises. However, I strongly believe that the clause should have been included but made terminal.

It should have been written as option of a referendum after a cyclic period not less than 30 years (for instance) for the people to continually decide if or not the union will continue.
The secession clause should have been inserted unconditionally, without time limit!

Donelli:
Nnamdi Azikiwe had a vision of cohesion in Nigeria and Africa in general but he probably overestimated the situation.

Let's keep it simple, Zik never had that vision; he only had selfish reasons to rule the whole country!

A Pan-Africanist would never support Biafra nor write Biafra's Anthem. And please don't bring the "survival of his people" argument; it won' cut it, because pogroms against igbos in 1945 and 1953 never dissuaded Zik from gleeful arguments of "indivisibility" and."perpetuity!"

And what have the Buhari/Osinbajo APC govt.done about restructuring?

Resource control by the regions is one of the cardinal point of restructuring. This when pass as legislation will help the regions to develop @ their own pace & independent of other hence enhance healthy developmental competition.

The core north opposition to the sensitive issue of restructuring is because their dependence on oil allocation will be forever gone with the background multiple problems bedevilling the region.

For you to pass the "restructure bill," you will still need the Reps from the North to see it through. If they oppose it, which would most likely be the case, would Atiku force the bill down their throats?

Atiku is a big crook. He knows he cannot make good this promise single-handedly.

The likely scenario is this even if he wins: he presents an executive bill for constitutional amendment, the northen majority in the House will kill the bill; Atiku would then turn to his southern Magas that he tried his best!

But trust me there are some intelligent guys/ladies there.

I mean no tribal post, the arm is now a northern - northern affair.

Disclaimer: Before you accuse me of tribalism. I am Northern an know what i say/type. The NIA has been tribalised... You are a South and your riseto the top will be slow and not progressive. You are a northern and you can get 7 promotions in 2days.

The agency is now bleeped so very bleeped up. Gurl friends and Bleep buddies get office into an agency that ought to uphold the highest standard. Imagine an agency recruiting the girlfriend to a boss, and the girl happens to be a foreigner. This goes against everything the institution stands for. You can never be a foreigner and get employed into the NIA. It's part of the byelaws and this is obtainable in every government intelligence arm of other countries if same functions...

Men bro the NIA s dead and gone......

Imagine your boss knowing openly that you are been approached from foreign agencies for Infosys and they open their stupid mouth to say na side hutsle...

For real?

See let's change the topic of discussion
