AmbodOfLASU: THE FRAUD IN SLOT LIMITED
My name is Pelumi,a student from the prestigious Lagos State University,Ojo. On the 6th of April,2016, I proceeded to Slot Limited,Alaba,to get a charger for my phone; INFINIX Hot Note Pro. I was told by a lady that the charger goes for 2,500naira. After testing it for some seconds, I was assured it was original and its going to serve me for a long time. I brought out my ATM and paid via the company's P.O.S. I returned back to school and continued my preparation for exams. On getting to my hostel, off campus, I couldn't test the full capability of the charger, as there was no light. On the next day at school, I plugged the "new charger" and I realized the phone was not charging as fast as I had expected. I ignored this and felt maybe it was the electricity current that was below par. Subsequently, I realised my phone was charging backwards. Trying to get off the reality that I may have procured a fake charger from a leading mobile outlet, I switched it off to allow it charge. This proved to be a fantasy, as the battery level refused to increase. I left the phone there for several hours and the story remained the same. I was advised by my friends to go back to SLOT and lodge my complaints. One of my school mates, who was a tech expert, said the charger was FAKE; that infinix don't manufacture their charger this way. After hours of hoping for a miracle, I proceeded to SLOT LIMITED outlet at Alaba International, metres away from LASU, where I procured the CHARGER from. I laid a complaint which was welcomed with hostility. I was directed from the cashier to a lady, whom I poured my heart to. The lady called the Infinix representative there and she confirmed that the CHARGER was FAKE, that INFINIX don't expose screws on their original Hot Note chargers. Instead of these slot representatives to calm things down and address me properly as a regular SLOT customer, they lost their cool and started shouting "no warranty on accessories". This offended my sensibilities as the point here is not about warranty but the fact that you sold a fake product to me at the price of an original and you showed no compassion. The lady who I was complaining to,suddenly walked out on me. Feeling angry and sad, I left the spot I was and I met with another slot staff whom i explained myself to. She showed some compassion on realizing I was a LASU student but other staffs instigated her and insisted I should not be attended to. Even the INFINIX representative that confirmed the charger to be FAKE,was asked not to interfere again. I surely had committed no crime. I felt cheated. Consequently, I realised it was some sort of gang up or conspiracy as some of the slot staffs appeared to have a skeleton in their cupboards. It was while I was contemplating on what to do: inform our ever gallant SUG President of the fraud or go to SLOT head office, that a fellow LASU student came in and told me to leave them. He said some SLOT STAFFS do buy fake products from outside and bring it to SLOT to sell as original. He also said so many people has fallen victim of such fraud. As it stands now, have apparently lost or wasted a chunk of my monthly allowance in the midst of this economic hardship. Yes, it may just be #2,500 but a fraud is a fraud and I will try all I can to ensure justice and fairness. I urge SLOT Authorities,as a matter of urgency,to look into this cankerworm, investigate it and bring in better credibility/authenticity to their folds. To the phone lovers out there, be careful of what you buy. The fact that you are procuring it from a leading store, doesn't necessarily mean you can't be swindled. Ensure you collect stamped receipts and other pertinent documents for you may need it later. Shalom.
Pelumi writes from Lagos State University. 08160156636 Have u tried using a diff usb cord on d charger? Sometimes the hub will be fine but the cord will not. Just try d same charger with anoda cord. |

This is how 419 scam groups operate. They throw a lot of hot air and puff and huff aimlessly all day with zero substance. It is all so pathetic
Also, remember that the reason the budget was submitted to the NASS in the first place is so they can scrutinise it and remove or add whatever is necessary. You cannot now accuse them of actually doing their job. You cannot berate them for being efficient and competent! I can't believe how kindergarten Buhari and his team are. Such a shame!!! Pls can u share d download link with me? I really wanna hav a copy of that budget for reference |

And u think we've made d right voting decision this time? I dnt think so. We were wrong but we got it worst this time. I tell u, neither Buhari nor Jonathan was in d last election what we need. Bt since we had to choose from two (both of dem on d negative side of the number line), Jonathan was d less catastrophic choice we had. Too bad, we trusted n bought propaganda and only propaganda (dats all dis administration is good for plus tell me how many of dem r nt frm d same pdp everyone is blaming). We hav made a terrible mistake that we wish thinks can jst go back to d bad state it used to be rather than this situation of downward ever, upward never. uyplus: Oh well, things have gotten this bad because our major source of forex has been hit hard and we have no where to run to.. Our mono-economy is comatose because we don't wanna look inwards for self sufficiency, start growing our grains, refining our crude, mining and processing our mineral resources etc. We are living the pain now for taking wrong decisions over the years by voting on ethno-religious lines. |
Business › Re: External Reserves Drop To $27.85bn As Foreign Investors Repatriate $30.2m by Vongsama(m): 8:03am On Apr 06, 2016 |
What I can tell u however, is that throughout PDP erra, things never got this bad. It is not in our democratic setting to ever b this backward. Oh, I mean it WAS never. PDP was bad but they never brought us this far down our feet. But who's even talking party here? Am talking buhari d d.ullard from daura. uyplus: What we ahould be asking the PDP supporters is that, what do the think th previous government would have done differently? Ofcourse because they steal in billions to fund their ostentatious lifestyle, there probably wouldn't have been anything left in our reserves.. Many years ago, We had oil selling at auch a high price, but the then ruling government never thought about saving for the rainy day. It remains a mystery and a miracle that this government hasn't gone borrowing, because the previous government would have gone borrowing. Although oil was sellling for as high as $140pb the immediate past government still went onto borrow money and plunge us into more debts, the recovered abacha loot from Switzerland was still stolen. And yet some idiots would think this government is gonna pull magic with oil sellling at $35pb? Have they forgotten so soon that we are still a mono-economy and our major source of forex is from crudeoil produce? Should the cbn open up its damn reserves and throw dollar at every dick and harry who needs it? It is simple economics, we are an importing nation and our demand for dollar is more than our dollar supply due to dwindling oil prices. Do people still want dollar so they can import palmoil from malaysia, toothpick from china etc? It will be so foolhardy and inhumane to compare 16years of pdp rule to 1year of apc rule. Apc goofed by promising what they can't offer within the initial time frame of 4years, but i am hopeful everything will be fine. My problem with this administration is the economic team. The finance minister and the CBN governor are both deadwood.. they both lack the expertise to stimulate this economy.. So please, pdp supporters should give me a break. They couldn't fix electricity problem in 16years, they couldn't provide us other basic ammenities like hospitals, portable drinking water and good roads etc all thru their 16 years of rule. |

I wish your beloved PMB thinks the way u do, unfortunately he doesn't n dat means u r jst speaking rubbish without facts. U tink buhari want to diversify d economy n away from oil? That a lie. Ask yourself, y did he dedicated N40billion in d budget to finding oil in d northeast? U c? The dullard is no good. We still hav oil bt its already failling us bt ur saint is spendin dat big jst to find d same oil meanwhile only N29bilion was allocated to agriculture. About GEJ, u said it dropped to 32billion. Was is GEJ that dropped it to 27now? U guys shld quite insultin GEJ already. All his shortcomings shlndt b an excuse anymore. This is a failed administration bt zombies will nt agree Quakertellicus1: Wailers....food is ready.
On a more serious note...
The problem is that we are not earning enough forex from oil. And we should have saved money last time....but GEJ somehow did not improve on Yaradua's success in raising our ECA to 60bn....he knocked it down to 32bn.
Let's be frank, we have a situation where we are no longer earning enough from oil.(And we are going to earn less as the glut continues) And PMB is not doing what needs to be done....cutting subsides, raising taxes, spending more on power and transport...so that eventually Nigeria would be able to get off oil for good.
Nigeria needs to be free from oil. We need to become a manufacturing power....who manufactures goods for the export market...so that we can be like China....a superpower who gives loans to other poor nations.
So....if you want your ECA imporved....you have to go manufacturing. Oil is a spent force. |

When they were in opposition, they thought rulling was so easy and the ruling party was mismanaging funds. They made erroneous calculations based on revenues alone and n they promised Nigerians practically impossible things but we were too gullible (and some of us still are, op for instance) n we voted dem. Now in power, they realized it wasn't what dey thought it was and the only thing they have now in confusion. But then, it is us that r suffering it. They r nt feeling d heat at all. Afterall the president is enjoyin his vacations abroad. He has spent more time outside Nigeria than in Nigeria. Everything now cost more than before. I'm afraid for our country Eze2000: Sir, You just spoke my mind perfectly. Fayose seems to be a man that loves mixing high drama with bitter bitter truths and his bold outspoken nature is second to none. Unfortunately hater of truth and lover of APC chose yo see and criticise only the drama part. OP 3 days ago I came across a topic like your and lost my temper with that OP for a very simple reason.....GARRI !
in d day PMB promised us change and a better Nigeria, Fulani herdsmen were not murdering Nigerians and walking scot free. Their victims were not being arrested by d army and dumped in jail. The NEPA of this land wasn't allowed to rob me blind in broad daylight or is it darkness and most importantly A PAINT BUCKET OF GARRI WAS 250 naira. Did u notice now pls, I'm not going to talk about the dollar at all or fake corruption trials and fights that seem to last forever and still get nowhere fast? Today, barely a year later the very same paint bucket of garri is 450 naira, I had bought it that very afternoon for my kids to manage. For a wise man, a knowledgeable former head of state, and for a party as a whole to go promising heaven and earth before election, they are a terrible disappoint to say the least. Oh, wait....could it be they had no idea what they were promising Nigeria's? Or is it that they made promises without first evaluating their abilities to keep them? if so then they purposely lied to Nigerians, to d poor and to the helpless who suffer everyday and have to buy garri at ridiculously high prices while high and mighty enjoy their loot. They ought to be lined up against a wall and stoned for vile atrocities against mankind. Mr. OP I strongly suggest u and everyone like u leaves Mr. Ayo Fayose alone for he is the only rich politician in this country that will sit on d bare ground with the poor. And he speaks complete truth though in his own uncultured manner.
You have a nice day |
